I took my car in because a bolt had broken off into the exhaust manifold where the exhaust connects…read moreto the manifold and he said he would attempt to drill out the bolt and it would require pulling out the turbo and drilling the bolt. - $700 for labor... Sure. Let's do it... I call them to check on progress days later to be told "we have it almost out, and he's working on getting the rest of it out", I was told there was "wear" to the turbo, but it ran just fine. I told them I didn't want a new turbo, and I just need a working car at this point. I got an updated copy of my estimate the next day saying "New Turbocharger" I called to confirm what they were doing, and was told "The bolt broke off in the turbo. You need a new one"......... The bolt broke where the exhaust connects to the manifold...pair... And I wasn't even going to be told about it!!! I declined a new turbo from the start!! Obviously where the bolt broke is simply metal housing, and nothing important, as you can see the other end of the bolt. Now I'm essentially forced to do the repair, have been without a car for a week, and am stuck with a $3000 repair. Flat out robbery.
