I have taken our Truck in to have oil changed. They done it in a timely matter.. they also told me possible problems. I appreciated them doing what I asked them to do. Thank you for your service. read more

I took my car in because a bolt had broken off into the exhaust manifold where the exhaust connects to the manifold and he said he would attempt to drill out the bolt and it would require pulling out the turbo and drilling the bolt. - $700 for labor... Sure. Let's do it... I call them to check on progress days later to be told "we have it almost out, and he's working on getting the rest of it out", I was told there was "wear" to the turbo, but it ran just fine. I told them I didn't want a new turbo, and I just need a working car at this point. I got an updated copy of my estimate the next day saying "New Turbocharger" I called to confirm what they were doing, and was told "The bolt broke off in the turbo. You need a new one"......... The bolt broke where the exhaust connects to the manifold...pair... And I wasn't even going to be told about it!!! I declined a new turbo from the start!! Obviously where the bolt broke is simply metal housing, and nothing important, as you can see the other end of the bolt. Now I'm essentially forced to do the repair, have been without a car for a week, and am stuck with a $3000 repair. Flat out robbery. read more

I went to this Midas to get an estimate. Something was running when the car was off. I was told this was the ABS pump. They got it to shut off and my cost to recieve an inspection was $150. The inspection led me to a laundry list of what they said was wrong with my car. They said I needed brake pads rotors and caliper had "exploded". I paid the estimate fee and took it home and ordered all the parts they said I needed. That was my mistake, as I should have gotten a look at it myself to see that my caliper brake pads and rotors were ALL FINE. So thanks to Midas false estimate I spent 2 weeks on the bus and getting rides thinking that my car wasn't safe. Scam artists. Won't be coming back there for these crazy estimates. Also the parts they said I needed only cost $150 with shipping from rockauto.com. Midas wanted to charge $1100 in parts labor and the $150 estimate fee. read more

I went in for a rotor and pad replacement on 07/13/24 because it is close to my house. They gave me an estimate for around 400 dollars but forgot that my model of car requires wheel bearing replacement when doing rotors so tacked on another 100 dollars without getting the go ahead from me first. Fine. Whatever. But then, because they must not have put my wheel cover on correctly, I lose that on my drive to pick up my kid and can't find it. Then I then have to bring the car back that same day because one of my calipers is now locking up after they messed with them and it's grabbing my wheel and white smoke is pouring out of my wheel well. They're close to closing so it has to wait until Monday to get fixed, Monday morning rolls around and I get an estimate for nearly 500 dollars to do both front Calipers and brake hoses. Total bull, they did something in the process of changing my wheels that broke the damned caliper and then want 500 more dollars to fix it. Screw that. I will NEVER return to this place. read more

I took my vehicle to the MIDAS at 5518 N Dixie Dr Dayton, OH 45414 United States on 4 February for an oil change. I ignored my sensors immediately after the oil change alerting me about it because I'm thinking why would i need an oil change I just got one. On March 8 all of the oil leaked out of my car onto my drive way I had to take it to the GMC dealership to get it fixed. They told me the oil filter was loose and that's what caused all of the oil to leak out I called Midas and SCOTT was VERY Rude and unprofessional he refuses to reimburse me for the oil change from Midas, the inconvenience of the oil change from GMC and the last minute rental I had to get because my car was pretty much burning from no oil. He was rude and wouldn't even consider reimbursement for any service. read more

I purchased tires through Tirebuyer.com I picked the Midas location at 5518 N. Dixie Dr. as the installation location listed on their website with an appt. set up for 3/29/24 @ 9am. I got an email late night early morning that my tires were delivered 3/28/24 but my appt. was for the next day. Since I had a donut tire on my car I stopped buy to see if they could squeeze me in early 3/28/24. The gentleman was so rude in person, I decided I would just stick to my original appt. because he said "well we don't open until 8 so if they were left outside there not there now" implying if they were left outside someone stole them. I stated well I hope they would not be left outside. I called back the same day around 4pm to see if they were delivered so I could make my 9am appt the next morning and Mr. Rude told me they were never delivered. I called Tirebuyer and I was told the installer (Midas) sent them back. I called Midas back again and told him what Tirebuyer told me and he proceeded to tell me that the delivery guy did show up and he went in the store to verify the right tires were being delivered and the driver just drove off. I asked him well why didn't you say that the first time I called. His response "Well at the end of the day they are not here". He was so rude and unprofessional so I said I want to speak to a manager and I already knew what the response would be in this situation and of course he said he was the manager. I hung up I had someone else call with other questions to get his name and it was Scott who I am seeing listed on other unpleasant reviews. Midas needs to do something about this "Manager" this behavior and unprofessionalism in a customer facing role is unacceptable. At the end of the day if you do not want to install third party tires delivered to your store then take your name of the list as a installer. Not to mention he hung up on me twice during my interactions and I had to call back a third time. I will never visit this store or a Midas establishment again. read more

Hello, and it saddens me to write this. The store on N Dixie, 45414, has helped and hurt my Mitsubishi. For two years, I have been dealing with disabilities and when I need my car, it is usually for Dr. Appt and Therapy. Last year, I look my Mitz in and two things happened. It started as a power steering issue after church on Sunday. The mechanic stripped a bold that is to hold the underside together and charged nearly $200 for work, resulted in it going into a shop to save my car and cost me $1200 in parts and mostly labor. It took days to figure out how to back it out without breaking this bolt they stripped. For other than a basic oil change, I would not advise using them. They refused to refund my cost, and with many disabilities, I had no energy to write this post or file formal complaints with the city, county and BBB. You really have to watch their Management and staff if you go there. For every complaint in business, there are many that are not heard. read more

I was very pleased with getting brake pads and a muffler for my car. Although I had a coupon for my brakes and I don't see any discount on my bill but other than that I would recommend Midas to my friends and family. I was looking over my bill again so I want to correct saying I didn't get my coupon because I see where I did !! read more

This place is as good as it gets!!! Honest up front employees and prompt service... I will definitely be going back.

I made an appt to get my starter looked. Was still waiting 2.5 hours later. Finally they told me it was my starter and would be ready in 2 hours. I was called at home 1 hour 45 minutes later and was told the starter was in, and worked, but started rough. Do you want us to keep looking? I said a little rough is fine. When I got my car it was covered in dirty water spots, had grease palm prints on the hood and the crystal from the rearview mirror was broke. When I got home I re-started my car and the started sounded like it was full of nuts and bolts, but it did start after about 5 seconds. Far from what I would say rough. Horrible Horrible experience. Will not go back. read more

My daughter was traveling from Chattanooga, Tennessee to Flint, Michigan alone. A plastic piece tore away from under her VW Bug but was holding on by one bolt and dragging. She came to your shop and asked for help. You took her in right away, took care of the problem and got her back on the road safely. I cannot thank you enough!!! This shows your shop and employees are top notch! read more

I got my car serviced here on 2/24/2022 and it was worst day of my life . My car was misdiagnosed by so called "professional experts " . I had a leak In my radiator hose that was causing my vehicle to smoke . I just so happen to be by Midas so I stopped in . My car was still smoking after spending $424. I brought it to their attention not once but twice and it led to my engine blowing . I'm highly upset and my life is currently in shambles due to the extra fees I am paying due to a misdiagnosis on my vehicle. The car is basically done for .I think y'all should stop getting over on women with children and women in general . I may not know a whole lot but I know enough when someone has not diagnosed and serviced the correct problem with my Chevy Cruze from previous cars in my past. I really hope in the future the employees will be honest and actually put quality into their work . I didn't have a problem paying but I expect my car to be fixed and diagnosed RIGHT the first time . Y'all have put me and my 4 year old daughters life in jeopardy the moment I drove out of Midas on 2/24/2022 without the correct problem being diagnosed. I just want what I deserve for going through this misfortunate situation.I will not stop until something is done. I hope y'all never do this to any one else again . Stay blessed and y'all should start doing continued education hours for y'all so called " professional experts " it'll save a heartache like the one I'm experiencing now! read more
