My favorite spot in town for matcha and coffee. The quality and service are both consistently great, and even though there can be pretty long lines on weekends, they usually move quickly. They freshly whisk the matcha for each drink. Everything I've tried so far has been really good, and the taste has been very consistent. Their drinks also aren't overly sugary, which I really appreciate. These are the best matcha drinks I've had, and I loved their Vietnamese coffee as well. I'm someone who likes to bring a book and spend some time at a cafe while trying different drinks, so the only thing I personally wish was a little different is the atmosphere. The grey, garage-style decor isn't quite my cozy-cafe aesthetic , but that's completely a personal preference and definitely doesn't take away from how good the drinks and service are. Absolutely worth a visit, especially if you love matcha!
Really wanna loved this spot as our friends have been raving about it saying it's the best matcha they've had. Besides, the long line kinda made it even look more convincing. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but probably I had set my expectation too high and also thought the steep price needed to be justified by what we got. Got the Itsumi, which was the best quality offered and I thought it's just decent and I could call out better quality matcha I had had, coming at similar price. Also tried the Matcha Einspanner and wasn't much impressed. The space was so cool tho with chill industrial vibe. Got very busy and kinda hard to find seats especially in the afternoon.
Came from out of town and was excited to try Phê since there aren't too many Vietnamese coffee shops in my city. When we got there, we came upon a huge crowd of people waiting around since the storefront is completely open to the sidewalk. One of the customers kindly directed us to the door off to the left, where you can join the line to place your order. I think there could be a clearer way to indicate this, since the crowd was blocking our view of where the line was (there was only one person in line at the time). The person taking our orders was friendly and we managed to find a seat for the two of us. It was pretty busy with both people on their laptops and people just having a chat. There are two single stall restrooms and free wifi available. It took a little while to get our drinks, which were a little smaller than I expected given how much they were. Despite this, I enjoyed my hojicha latte. It had a good sweetness level and I could really taste the hojicha flavor. I enjoyed my drink, but I would probably try out other places before coming back.
Phe is a Vietnamese cafe that serves coffee, matcha, tea, and small Vietnamese bites. Phe is located in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle. Whenever I am near Phe, there is always a line out the door. The day we visited was no exception. Luckily, it didn't take as long as we initially thought. I was quite ecstatic to try since it was my first time at Phe! I ordered an Iced Earl Grey Matcha. It is definitely one of the pricier matchas in the Seattle area. Thankfully the quality was great. It wasn't too sweet, or bitter at all. The interior is quite minimal, with a sleek modern touch. I really liked the little chairs and table that they have near the ordering/pick up area. It reminds me of Southeast Asia. A solid matcha spot in Seattle. I wouldn't mind coming back again to try their other drinks.
Let's be honest, the line outside Phe was insane, It looped all the way behind the building. Good thing I was not alone. I have to say the line did moved rather fast. SERVICE 5/5 From the staff at the counter taking order to the gentleman who cleaned our table so meticulously, and brought out our food, everyone there was really friendly and pleasant. BANANA PUDDING MATCHA LATTE/SLIDERS/SHOESTRING FRIES 4/5 Banana Pudding Matcha Latte - 6/5 (One extra star!!) Each of us ordered the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte, and let me say if there is one drink you want to order here, get the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte!! It was so yummy, so delicious and the best!! It was a good quality matcha latte with a creamy dessert. Best of both world! Sliders 4/5 Love them!! The buns were so soft, and the sliders were so comforting. I had to dock off one point since they were not too generous with the bacon. Half of the sliders had no bacon :( Shoestring fries 4/5 I usually like crinkle cut fries, but these were so addicting until it just gotten too salty at the bottom. AMBIANCE 5/5 It was a huge place and even though it was packed, people here did not hoard the seats for hours. It was lively and I was so glad to come here during my first visit to Seattle. Average Instagram hyped kind of place. 30 minute wait from getting in line to receiving our drinks, which isn't terrible but should be accounted for. Really beautiful and surprisingly large space! We got both Hojicha and Matcha drinks, and thought both were solid options. You won't be disappointed but also probably won't be wowed. They also serve with a bit too much ice, and have some of smallest cups I've ever seen in a cafe. At a fairly premium price point those choices can seem stingy. Fun to try but probably wouldn't make it a regular spot.
I had heard so many things about Phe and was eager to try it! I got a banana pudding matcha which was absolutely delicious! The matcha is great quality, the banana pudding is super delicious as well! The inside of Phe is super cute as well, there is seating but can definitely get pretty crowded during the weekends. Lots of natural light and some tables that could be great for meeting a friend or getting work done. The location is in a very busy area of capital hill, luckily I did not drive so parking was not an issue but expect street parking which could rang from $5-$7. I personally think that this place is not super realistic for an every day matcha. I paid about $12 after tip and that's pretty pricey. I'd say it's good for a treat though. I personally recommend visiting phe during the week day, during weekends you can expect long lines and a long wait.
Everytime I past Phe there is a line out the door. I finally went on a Friday morning shortly after it opened and I'm glad I did! There was no wait, my friends coffee was ready a little faster than my matcha. There is plenty of seating and perfect for a little morning chat. I ordered the strawberry matcha with oat milk. It's definitely on the more expensive end for matcha, but I was really pleased with the flavor. It's on the sweet side, but the strawberry and oat milk dont overpower the matcha. I'm bummed they don't have a plain matcha, but would definitely come back for a sweet treat!
Deserves all the love it's gotten as one of Seattle top matcha spots! There's always a line out the door but they're pretty efficient so it moves quickly. The matcha taste is strong and doesn't taste watered down but I think they could get rid of the unnecessary flower they pluck on top of the matchas for pure decoration lol. I've tried both their regular matcha latte and their matcha einspeinner but wouldn't pick the latter as the matcha flavor seems a lot more diluted.
Finally tried Phe after having this place saved in my bookmarks for a while! I ordered myself the banana pudding matcha was a solid 9 out of 10. The matcha doesn't taste artificial at all and the toffee bits give it a nice little crunch and extra sweetness. There are also actual small chunks of banana in the banana pudding, which I wasn't expecting but really liked. The cafe is cute and modern.. definitely has that trendy Seattle cafe feel. The staff was friendly and service was good, but the wait was LONGGGG. We got in line around 11am and didn't get our drinks until around 11:45.. Parking is another thing to keep in mind. We found street parking, but it was $5 an hour...so that definitely adds up. And yeah... $12 for a drink. It's good, but definitely not a casual everyday matcha price. Still, I'd go back for the banana pudding matcha. Just maybe not when there's a huge line lol.
Such a good little find in Seattle! We stopped at Phê and the bánh mì sandwiches were AMAZING. The bread was perfectly crispy on the outside, the filling was so flavorful, and everything tasted super fresh. Honestly one of those sandwiches you keep thinking about after the fact. We also loved the vibe of the cafe. Super cute, casual, and an easy stop while exploring Capitol Hill. Definitely wish we had something like this back home because I would be a regular!
Ordered: - Banana Pudding Matcha - Good. One of the better banana pudding matcha I've had. - Earl Grey Matcha - Sad it was whole milk only, my guess is they steep it in milk instead of doing a syrup. - Matcha Einspanner - Strawberry Matcha - Wasn't a fan of their strawberry puree. I wouldn't get this one again. A decent amount of seating inside. Street parking only. Took about 15 ish minutes to get our drinks once we ordered.
(4.5/5) Dropped by to try Phe in Capitol Hill, and I was really surprised to see the large amount of traffic despite it being the middle of the day on a Monday. This is a Vietnamese coffee-inspired drink bar with some bites on the side. I ordered the coconut matcha and banana pudding matcha latte. It took quite a while to get our drinks (30-40 min), but it was understandable as it was busy. Both drinks were really good and not too sweet! I was surprised that the banana pudding balanced the matcha underneath with some added banana chips on top for texture and real banana pieces for authentic flavour. I definitely preferred the Koko Kloud as it was light, refreshing, and easy to drink. Both drinks had quite an intense matcha flavour as well. Although the matcha flavour itself may not be comparable to some other places, the concept and fusion execution were really well done. There is ample seating inside for dine-ins, and I can see it being a cute study/working space. Would love to return to try some other drinks next time.
At first I was a little irritated by people's lack of manners, and the wait but the drinks were definitely worth it. It's probably the best matcha I've ever had and I absolutely love Vietnamese coffee. I think they could improve their customer service, I mean I know it's busy but not even a hello? Finally got to try it myselfl!! When I first heard of Phe, they were a small little stand, and I immediately wanted to go. It was always so busy, which is great for the business, but made it difficult for me, so I was so happy to finally set time aside for it. I tried their classic matcha latte with Hanami flavor profile. It was smooth and you could tell it was made with good quality matcha. My partner tried their Matcha Einspanner, which was definitely sweeter and was so delicious when the foam mixed in. Next time, I would love to get the opportunity to try their famous banana matcha and maybe give some of their coffee a try! read more
On a weekday morning, my friends and I came into this coffee shop to try some of their unique drinks. While my friends settled on their banana latte, I wanted to try their iced hojicha latte. I loved the strong hojicha taste that blended well with the milk. My friends enjoyed their banana latte drink and commented on the perfect amount of sweetness. 3.5/5 The place itself accomplishes the vibe it wants to give off--hip and artistic. The menu features vietnamese coffee and matcha. While the space and vibe are curated nicely, I think the matcha could be a bit better. It has a pretty light flavor and when mixed with the milk gets watered down. For the price, I expect a stronger flavor. I had expectations as it is a hyped up spot, but I think they do coffee much better. Everything is handwhisked and while the matcha is smooth, it lacks the actual flavor that I expect from a matcha. read more
Food+ drinks: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 My friends and I made sure to stop by this spot while we were in Seattle, and it definitely lived up to the hype! We went around 11 in the morning, and it was PACKEDDDD. The inside was completely full, and there was even a line out the door, so I honestly didn't think our group of 4 would find seating. The line moved really fast tho, and we managed to grab one of the viet style low table and chair setups that you'd typically see on the street back home, I liked it a lot. The drinks and food also came out surprisingly quickly despite how busy it was. We ordered a lot to try! Drinks: 1 phe muoi $6.75 1 matcha einspanner $8.75 1 earl grey matcha $9 1 banana pudding matcha latte $11 1 hojicha latte $6.50 Their matcha was smooth, no astringency, I wished it was more matcha taste bc it's a little light but that's just me bc I like umami matcha. Food: Phe Sliders $13 MUSTTTT GET!! My group absolutely devoured these. The rolls were soft and airy, and somehow the sliders still felt light and not too heavy. The aioli was sooooo yum we scrape every bits of it lolllll. I'd honestly come back just for this dish alone. xoi chay $15- Really good breakfast option. The sticky rice was soft and chewy, and all of the toppings came together really well. Easily my new favorite spot. I got the early grey matcha, which was pretty but a bit bland in the matcha taste. The phe den was great, with a rich flavor that was almost savory. We also got the musubi on a whim but really enjoyed them. Cute interior and vibes. Line can long but the staff work quickly to keep things moving. read more

When considering value, I want to say 4 stars but I think it's justified to be 4.5 and round up. I really paid around $25 for two drinks, but they were tasty so I'm bouncing back and forth here. Most people have claimed this is the best matcha spot and it's easily up there among the top. Visited on a Friday morning just before rush hour. Lots of people were already seated working and a ton started lining up after us. Honestly surprised the wait hasn't died down more. Not sure what the cup sizes are, but there is a small and large. I'd guess small around 12oz and large around 16oz, but unsure because they like to use the shorter, stubbier cups. Price is steep. Oat milk still costs extra and is not priced in. Sweetness can't be lowered. Most matcha drinks have set sizes and no flexibility. Those are some of the main downsides. Beyond that, everything such as ambiance, coziness, third space vibes, and quality are upsides. Banana Pudding Matcha Latte - this drink is so good. Matcha super smooth, complementing the banana pudding with a soft texture. Matcha is a bit on the sweeter side and cannot be unsweetened, but caters to the general majority. Banana flavor elevates that sugar a bit more but not overly so. Definitely more of a dessert but also a hefty $11 price point. Strawberry Matcha Latte - while the matcha is again smooth, whisked well, and umami, the strawberry jam is nothing special. I personally see strawberry matcha as the older, safe choice for those who disliked the bitter or grassy tones of matcha. Similar idea here, which I think detracts from the quality of the matcha here. Would skip this for any of the other drinks. read more
Phe has become a staple matcha place for me, I've tried at least half the menu by now and my regular go-to's are the Koko Matcha Cloud and Hojicha Einspanner, and the banana pudding matcha of course! Definitely a busy spot so try to come here on a weekday if you don't like waiting! (Like me..lol) The pork banh-mi is delicious here as well as the Hawaiian roll breakfast sliders. I need to get around to trying the other food options. Not the biggest fan of the spam musubi they have, it always seems over steamed to me, I wish they were made to order like the other food options! Phe is worth the hype, and worth the wait too if you decide to go on a weekend. The space is super cute and it's nice to have a space for young people to gather and hang out. read more
Phe Coffee has officially won me over after a couple visits. The first time I came was during that crazy matcha shortage, so they sold out just a couple hours after opening which, honestly, fair. I ended up trying their honeycomb coffee instead and WOW... so good. Perfectly balanced, slightly sweet, and super smooth. My boyfriend got the black sesame coffee and loved it. I'm personally not a black sesame fan, but if you are, it's definitely worth trying. The second time I came back, I finally got my hands on the earl grey matcha and OMG GET IT. It's so unique and flavorful, and everything just works together perfectly. You really taste the earl grey and the nutty matcha yumm. Only downside? Parking can be a struggle... but I'm not even kidding when I say I will parallel park every single time for that drink. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to. read more
After figuring out the best time to go for it, I went with my friend on a Sunday morning at 9am to get their banana pudding matcha latte, and there was still a line to get their stuff. Even the inside was almost a full house! This time around, they did not run out of banana pudding; oddly, I didn't see many people get it when my friend and I got ours; I mostly saw hojicha and einspanners. Guess luck is in my favor now (from my previous review here). Yes, matcha has become oversaturated, overused and overrated here in Seattle, but the banana pudding matcha latte here is sooooooo good that you wouldn't even think that! The banana pudding is perfectly sweet and complements the matcha. It even has actual banana pieces, and other places serving similar matcha lattes don't even do that! The toffee bits hit the spot, and the matcha itself is ceremonial, so it's quite strong and floral. Both parts work well, and even more so when you decide to stir it all together after you've enjoyed some of the banana pudding with the provided wooden spoon you get. I've tried many matcha places and popups around the city, and after having here a second time I can safely say this place has THE best matcha in all of Seattle, and if all those matcha places I tried competed in a Smash Bros. tournament, this place would come out on top! read more

I've been here twice and liked my drinks! The first time I got the banana pudding hojicha which was very unique (and not too sweet!). The most recent time I visited I ordered the pistachio hojicha which is a seasonal drink. The hojicha quality is great and paired well with the pistachio. I also tried my friend's matcha kloud and that was fantastic! Every time I visited they ran out of the banana pudding matcha so it's been a bummer I haven't gotten the chance to try that one yet. So if there's a particular drink you want, go early because they do sell out! read more
got the matcha einspanner and thought it was okay! i usually prefer my matcha too be stronger and i feel like the cream top kind of diluted the flavor a little bit. think the drink was ok, but was kinda expensive for the amount of matcha i felt i got. wish there was a double matcha or something like that, i heard the coconut matcha is great! think the einspanner is just whatever yummy rating: 8/10 read more

Hands down the best matcha in Seattle. If you like strong matcha that is not too sweet, this is the place for you! I feel like most of the matcha in Seattle can be summed up by two words: "green milk". However, the drinks at Phe are rich, smooth, and made right in front of you. The color is perfect. I would highly reccomend the coconut water topped with the matcha foam. It wasn't too sweet and still maintained a strong matcha flavor, even when the drink mixed. We also ordered the banana nut matcha and a regular and both were amazing, although very sweet! If you like sweet, then it would be good. If not, I would reccomend the coconut water topped with matcha foam. Hands down the best matcha place in Seattle! The line goes out the door, but it moves quickly and is so worth it! My one critique is that it is so busy inside so if you want to study, there will be no room. read more
I've heard high praises for this matcha place and the line definitely seconded that notion. The line moved at a fair pace and there was complementary lemon ice water. The ambiance is super nice with people chattering and some light music playing. I was a little overwhelmed with the options so I picked a simple Hojicha Latte. I love that I was able to taste the burnt Hojicha notes. My friend ordered the Earl Grey Matcha and said that there was definitely the taste of Earl Grey. I noticed that the matcha powder that the baristas were using were labeled differently based on which matcha drink they were making. Because they strain and mix the matcha powder on the spot it does take a while for the drinks but the wait is worth it for some authentic tasting matcha. Next time I come I either want to try the banana cream matcha or the Vietnamese coffees. There is decent amount of seating and food options on the menu as well. read more

Love love this place! Parking is a bit of a pain but where isnt it the same everywhere in Capital Hill? When we got there the line was pretty long but moved quickly. Drinks seemed to made very efficiently so people came and went quickly. We ordered quite a few drinks and they were all delicious! A few favorites were the creme brulee phe and the banana matcha latter. I love the fact that they were not overly sweet like some other viet coffee places that I have been to. I regret not ordering a sandwich to try because I saw others order it and it looked good. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place during our time in Seattle. I would recommend and definitely come back if I'm visiting in the future. read more
Worth the hype! I got really lucky and was able to get in line when it was manageable. The interior was so unique and reminiscent of Vietnamese coffee shops! The ambiance was great. They had a lot of great and unique drink options, but I wanted something uniquely Phe. Something that I haven't seen on menus of other coffee shops before, so that is why I went with the Phe Pho! The drink itself was so beautifully crafted. So aesthetic. The cream part of the drink was seasoned with pho spices (I think). I'm not sure, but it smelled really similar to pho! Once it was mixed into the coffee, it had a distinctive flavor that I've never had before in a coffee, but I enjoyed it. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. read more
Phe is a modern Vietnamese cafe and one of the hottest spots to grab a matcha in the Seattle area for good reason! To get here, street parking will definitely be your best and there is a good amount of it around the area. Inside, they have an aesthetic setup with a solid amount of seating. For their menu, they have a great selection of different coffee, matcha, and hojicha drinks to choose from. Wifey and I opted to try their Koko Matcha Kloud and it was spot on. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Come stop by for yourself to decide if this spot is the top matcha spot in Seattle! read more

Poppin cafe with lots of seating and really delicious cream foam!! Very creamy banana pudding that wasn't overpoweringly sweet and hojicha + matcha was decent. Drink looks very filling but it's in a smaller sized cup with ice so I finished it no problem Tea flavor was noticeable, but felt a bit watered down as I sipped it more but could've just been the ice melting And because I got the pudding it worked really well to balance the drink out! Pudding bits of banana chunks and bread inside - they recommend not to stir so you can sip and eat as you go and taste the foam and tea individually. I agree with the tip but ended up mixing a little since I prefer creamier drinks Agree that this is one of the best matcha spots in Seattle I've tried!! tldr: you'll find me here again with the banana pudding hojicha. Kinda pricy. Super busy. Might not have seats, despite a large space and many seating. Service: reasonably quick, it was packed in there and I didn't feel like I waited too long for my drink. Ambiance: it has a really nice, modern vibe. Lots of seating. And yet not enough seating friends and I wanted to catch up in here but there was sadly no seating despite the huge space and number of seating in the café. Drink: I ordered the banana pudding hojicha and I was blownnnnn. I'm trying to decipher how to make this banana pudding top myself for home, ill be back for this drink again. The banana pudding hojicha was - $10 probably because of the banana pudding. My friends drinks were comparably more inexpensive, around $7-$9. The hojicha was nutty, and unsweetened. Most of my sweetness came from the banana pudding and toffee sprinkles. I do recommend trying this drink! read more
We came here as soon as it opened at 9am on a Saturday, and within 5 minutes there was already a line out! Definitely be prepared to be in a swarmed environment. We ordered a chicken banh mi for food, and regular latte and Strawberry matcha. The banh mi was a typical banh mi, nothing outstanding. However, I thought it was pretty filling for an $11 sandwich option in capitol hill area. The coffee was not anything special either, but this is probably because I didn't fully commit and get the full Vietnamese coffee version with the sweeteners and all. So that is probably my fault. The ambiance is probably what makes this place stand out. The neatly organized books on the shelf, the little child-sized camping chairs to sit on, the clean coffee tables, everything works together to give off a good neighborhood vibes. Great if you're nearby, and I dare say, it's worth the trip to try it out if you're into the instagram show off. But otherwise, wouldn't try to become a regular at this place. read more
As one of the most popular Capitol Hill based cafes, "Phe" (#1) has been a hype machine since the day it opened (#2). The sprawling space is usually crawling with Gen Z youngins (#3), where lines are never-ending and waiting is part of the experience. Thankfully, the coffee is been good enough to where I look forward to coming each time. This is no small coffee cafe, but a large space with lots of room to stretch and a bustling staff to boot. They've been quite good at managing the wines and getting drinks out in a timely manner. Prices are standard for the area where the average coffee is around $6 and some change. Within their classic drinks, the flat white, cappuccino, latte, and Americano were practically perfect. The latte art was on point and I love the fact they offer a flight for various kinds of drinks they offer. Their nitro cold brew is creamy as it is potent. The peach fruit tea is surprisingly refreshing and an ideal summertime drink. The matcha options are also quite extensive. The banana matcha is strangely addicting, but the pandan coconut matcha will forever be my favorite. Many others can be seen ordering the strawberry matcha cloud, which can only be iced. I also feel some type of way about their phe coffee, which is their classic Vietnamese iced coffee. It has just the right amount of sweetness and good balance between coffee and condensed milk. There are several ube drinks ons drinks on the menu, which includes ubelicious and my preferred drink of a light ube latte. Seasonal drinks should also not be missed. In addition to the Earl Gray Matcha, the egg coffee has been excellent. They also are offering a peppermint mocha and a northern comfort, just in time for the holidays. Parking is going to be a challenge. Unless one is waiting in the car and illegally parking on the street or one got lucky enough to actually park in a space, which is not likely during peak hours. _________ (#1) Phe as in "Cà phê" i.e. Vietnamese coffee. I'm from San Diego and I'll admit their matcha beats any matcha I've tried from San Diego. Is it the best matcha I've had in the states? No, but you can tell they use quality grade powder! Every drink is made to order so there was a long line when we initially came. I think we waited around 30 mins? But I think the wait was worth it solely for their phe creme brulee which is seasonal! The viet coffee is so strong and it paired so nicely with the thick custard. Highly recommend if you see it on the menu!! read more
I was looking for a good place for matcha and this place kept popping up. I love how concentrated their matcha drinks are. I ordered the Matcha Einspanner - the sweet cream top was very pleasing. Really enjoyed this spot! The place was super spacious and had dedicated seats for waiting for to go drinks as well as a sit down area for people to hang out. They also have a food menu which is great since a lot of coffee shops don't offer fresh food from the kitchen. I Got the chicken (+$1) banh mi with egg (+$3) on it as well a hojicha drink with cream on top. I was happy with the staff being able to do no sugar in the hojicha drink and only add the cream on top. it was a perfect balance for me! Theres other shops Im unable to remove the sweetener from the drink so this was a plus for me. The banh mi was very fresh and balanced with flavor. I would say it s a bit pricey but it was made well so Im not upset. If anyone is in the Capital Hill area I'd highly recommend this place. [IN A NUTSHELL] expensive but great taste matcha [VERDICT] - APPROVED [RUN-DOWN] Came across this place while in Seattle and did not know that this was a popular place. We read that there was usually long lines but just wanted something quick. When we got there in the morning on a Friday there was no line. A great matcha spot but I really think that it is overpriced. Nonetheless it was still good. I do not think the price was worth it for this, but to try once, I don't mind. [SCORE & ORDER] OVERALL: 3.75/5 Matcha Einspanner $8.50 (3.75/5) -Matcha Latte with Sweet Cream Top -This was a classic matcha drink that you know is made fresh each cup because they make it infant of you. The flavor of matcha was there and it was not too powerful. I decided to get the einspanner because it wanted more creamy and sweet. I would recommend getting this one. The line was out the door which seems common, here. The cafe is small, crowded, but super aesthetic! They ran out of the banana pudding matcha which is the one I really wanted to try. I got their matcha eisen-something and it was pretty good! I was disappointed that I paid almost $10 for my cup not to be full (ordered less ice), so keep that in mind when you order. If youre looking for amazing iced coffee and matcha, look no further. The long line truly spoke for itself. I got the banana pudding matcha which was 9/10. SOOOO GOOD. Its more of a dessert than a drink bc they give u a spoon. But i totally recommend this. My mom got the sesame cream Vietnamese coffee and that was also 10/10 if you like sesame you need to try that one. Their breakfast sliders were pretty good too I loved the green dipping sauce more than the chipotle one. You have to try this ive youre in the area! read more
I've heard from friends and saw posts on social media recommending this shop for its drink selection, so I was excited to check out the spot! The space is really nice and modern, a chill area for studying and hanging out. I ordered an iced hojicha latte einspanner, and my friend got a black sesame coffee with less ice. At first, I felt a little disappointed by the size of the cups before realizing that the shape is less tapered than usual, and therefore holds a good amount. The hojicha flavor is strong, not too sweet, and in addition to the cream was very rich. I was satisfied with my drink, but I wouldn't go out of my way to order it again. There were other items on the menu that looked pretty interesting (earl grey matcha, chestnut matcha latte etc.), so if I happen to be around the area, I'd drop by to try more drinks! read more
I don't know if I can find a stronger and better Vietnamese coffee around. I love love strong Vietnamese coffee that's original and I think this one checks all the boxes. It was really busy- line out the door kind of busy the first time I came on Sunday. Got in line and it went very quick and efficiently which I love. Fantastic service by the entire staff from ordering all the way to getting the coffee and matcha. It was so good I came back Monday and got another coffee to help with getting through a rough work day. I got the musubi just to try and it was also amazing! Plenty of seating to stay for awhile if that's the vibe. There are unique small chairs for people to sit while waiting for their orders too. read more

Phe! is a Vietnamese-owned café that truly lives up to the hype. They specialize in Vietnamese coffee, which is my personal favorite, but their matcha and seasonal drinks are also excellent. I love that I can switch things up depending on my mood. I've tried the crème brûlée coffee, corn coffee, strawberry matcha, and seasonal green Thai tea--everything has been delicious with zero complaints on taste. Prices are on the higher side, and it can get a bit busy, but the interior is cute and there's plenty of seating. Service is always friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back for more--highly recommend for any coffee or tea lover! read more

We were visiting Seattle and decided to give Phe a try and we're so glad we did. I got the Banana Pudding Matcha, and my boyfriend ordered the Vietnamese Coffee with Black Sesame. His drink was so good that we came back the next day so I could order it too. Fast service, friendly staff, and definitely a spot we'll come back to whenever we're in Seattle. read more
Walked in at 11:30 AM and for the first time, no line! It's usually pretty crowded around lunch time, but for the next few days, you might actually have a chance to snag a table. The cold spell and BTS presale/gm tix are likely keeping folks at home Their hojicha latte was the best I've had in the States - strong tea flavor and that banana pudding: how did they create such a flavorful, creamy texture? I'll def get this again, but I'd want to try their other matcha/hojicha lattes on their menu (there's just so many to choose from and I don't think you can go wrong w/ any of them). I love what they've done to the interior: very aesop, japandi, mid century modern. The bookshelf in the back was a surprise, all sorts of used books. It makes me wonder if they'll let customers donate any of their books. How cool would it be though to see an old book of yours at this cafe if they were to make that happen... read more
