I can't say enough good things about them. I brought my 9 month old goldendoodle there on last minute notice for daycare and they were able to take her. From the moment my Maddie walked in I could tell she was comfortable she never even looked back when they were walking her in and she always looks back. I left her there for about 7 hours and when she came home was so happy and exhausted from playing all day that she fell asleep at 8 all night. She was dirty from playing when she came home but I would rather her be dirty and happy then clean and traumatized. It was a great experience I will be going back. read more

I honestly cannot recommend Bethany from Phdogs enough. She was a life saver during the filming of my show on Animal Planet. During that time she cared for, worked with, and provided metabolic conditioning for all my dogs. Since all three of my dogs are high energy working dogs, this was a must for me. Not only did she maintain their physical fitness, she significantly improved all three of them. I have an Australian cattle dog, her name is Pepper. I sent Pepper to PhDogs with fear aggression issues. She couldn't be around other dogs without trying to attack, or other people for that matter. Pepper was on the verge of having to be relocated when I finally found PhDogs. I love my dog with all i have, but this was our last hope. We have two other dogs in our home, both being about a quarter of the size of pepper. Whom she had gotten into many fights with to the point of having to separate them. Pepper was put into the doggy bootcamp program for I believe 6 weeks. Bethany kept in contact with me through the whole process. With Multiple updates and messages about peppers progress throughout her training, and a few visits to see my little love! On the day that pepper was ready to come home we were told to bring our other two dogs to see how they do with her, and it didn't go as planned all because of my other two dogs, not pepper. So Bethany actually kept our other two dogs for two days with pepper to work on it for us. Then pepper got to come home with her sisters. We brought her home a new dog. We can take her places without stress, she got to meet the rest of our family that she hadn't seen since she was a puppy, she is a happy dog. I had to take my 8th month old German Shepard because he was giving me the blues. The program that Bethany had suggested was a 4 week intense obedience training course. They trained my big boy so well that I couldn't believe this was the same dog. I went to my first session little over a week and couldn't believe how well my Jesse James was doing. They let you have hands on training with your dog because you have to know what to say and do after you get home. I was in tears after my first lesson. My second session was even better than I could ever believe or expect. These people know what they are doing!!! I saw a video of Jesse James dad being trained and I didn't know who the trainers were and I found out later this is the same trainers!!! WOW!!! Jesse James dad is in a whole lot of competitions all over the place and my understanding is that he's placing pretty high. I certainly can see why. I have never left a Yelp review before, but had to do it because PhDogs is so great. We rescued a puppy this summer who needed lots of help with separation anxiety and basic training. We took him to the month-long board and train program and noticed remarkable improvements in his behavior and training. On the first day of training, we were nervous to leave him, but Bethany sat on the ground with Goyo until he was comfortable, and sent us pictures throughout the day to show us that he was doing great. Every morning after he would jump in his carrier, eager to go to school as quickly as possible. We continue to take Goyo at least once a week for daycare so he can continue getting exercise and social interaction. Bethany is amazing with all dogs, and Kat and Marissa are both great and loving with our little guy too. The whole team is experienced, kind, and professional. I had an appointment that I wanted over a month to get and the morning of my son's s hook has an emergency and I needed to pick him up so at that point I let the staff or receptionist or whatever know that I was sorry but there's no way I could make it on time.. They ask that you come early...so then they tell me Bethany refuses to reschedule me because I'm a last minute cancelation and my 75$ evaluation fee which was paid over a month ago was gonna be kept.. so in other words go f myself. .. They treated me like I was intentionally trying to be late. So I then apologized that my child's safety was more important at the time not to mention I live 1hr away also but that doesn't matter. Anyways I'm now looking for a new place. I'll probably go to AZ. Thank goodness for people like Bethany and Jean Luc and all their staff! They literally saved our family from having to give up our rescue pup Frida. She was aggressive towards strangers, children and pretty much any person at our front door. Before her board and train with PhDogs, she was charging the front door, growling barking and yes... I rescued a bull terrier Molly about three years ago to keep my boxer Daisy company. They got along great. Daisy passed away and my daughter gave me her very gentle giant German Shepherd Rocky that was having problems with her other male. We made sure Molly and Rocky got along together before we moved him into my house and they did. Within a week I had three dog fights. I got Bethany's number from where we got Rocky at the Seal Beach animal Care Center. Bethany came out to evaluate both dogs and Molly was signed up for a doggy Boot Camp. She was gone to doggy Boot Camp for a month. When she came back home, Bethany showed me everything I had to do with the training of Molly. I followed every instruction to the letter. It was hard work but I stuck with all the new rules. It has been a lot of work and at times very hard to stay with the rules and not get lazy. We sent our 8 month old pup to Bethany and team. Our pup was wild, she was a biter, she jumped on everything and everybody, she didn't respond to commands...she was an overall mess but we love her dearly. Since first leaving our Chocolate Lab Daks with Bethany and Jean Luc for training he has been a different dog. It's amazing the work they do with these wonderful animals. Daks is our baby and our first that we ever boarded. I was always hesitant thinking he wouldn't get the love and attention he needs. They have lots of dogs for him to play and romp with. Bethany is great at posting to Facebook and sending a short message to us with his picture. I'm greatfull we found them. Bethany is AMAZING! She truly cares about your dog and their progression in training. I was a little nervous at first because I had never sent a dog to K9 training camp and boarding but am extremely happy I did! Bethany took such great care of my dog while she was there for boarding and training and made sure she got lots of love and attention. I rescued my dog from the shelter and when I first brought her home she was scared of literally everything. She was scared to go up stairs, doorways, even sidewalk curbs, and wouldn't listen to me at all but thanks to Bethany my dog Etta has completely changed for the better. There were a few things that helped us in our decision to choose PHDogs to help us with our very fearful Malinois, Alice. One was that Bethany and Jean Luc were not fixed on using only one type of training tool as in just a prong collar or just a slip collar, they adjusted the tools based on Alice and how she responded. They also worked at a pace that was adjusted to Alice. In other words we didn't end up in a standardized 4 week program that we knew would be too short. Alice's training plan was tailored for her specific behavior problems at a pace that would push her but not push too hard. Also, it was a fluid process, if she needed more training time Bethany and Jean Luc would recommend it, and I have no doubt the opposite would happen as well, that if she progressed quicker it would have been recommended that she go home early. Bethany and Jean Luc were also great at training us, teaching us how to better react and correct Alice. They're incredibly patient with us and great at answering our questions and providing suggestions. We know they're also interested in Alice's long term progression and well being.
