Oh my goodness, I'm blown away! I've had dogs most of my life, and I've always thought I've done a good job teaching them how to be good dogs. However, I recently took on a project when a friend was unfortunately having to relocate and couldn't continue homing their boy. I'd met Buster a handful of times, and I knew he was a bit much, but I thought it was just my friend's lifestyle. After about five weeks with Buster, I realized why they named him that! Not only is this guy an escape artist, but he was absolutely out of control, running at full tilt at all times, in every direction, over and under, and around, nonstop. His energy was unbearable! He would literally drag me down the street while trying to take him for walks; whatever direction Buster wanted to go was the way we went, and I had very little control. He would jump on every person in sight, feeling that he deserved attention and love from everybody. I was fortunate enough to run into Kit with Evolve Canine Academy while I was out shopping at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga. If you know this location on a Saturday afternoon, it's quite chaotic! Kit seamlessly flowed through the crowd with a very large Mastiff; the dog was so engrossed in looking at him and doing the things he was asking, nothing else seemed to matter. I knew instantly I needed to get this man's information. After talking to Kit briefly, he explained their process and how they could get started. From there, the process has been easy and seamless. Chris and Kit have set me up for success, not only in their training but also in the follow-through and coaching that they're continuously giving me. Their availability when I reach out is always returned in a respectful time manner, which is huge as we continue our training process. If you've been considering dog training, I highly recommend Evolve Canine Academy! We chose their boarding training program, as our schedule was very busy with work, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results I got with Buster. Buster is now cool, calm, and collected while out in public. Choosing Evolve for my dog's board and train was the best decision I've made for my dog and me. My dog Bruno Mars who is a rescue and he had a particularly severe case of reactivity and anxiety. Because of this, I was overwhelmed and at a loss with how to train him. After comparing multiple board and train facilities, I settled on Evolve. The people at Evolve are the absolute best. They truly care about what they do and about what is best for our dog us as the owner. Bruno mainly worked with trainer kit and Chris the owner was very good I'm keeping us up-to-date with the progression as well as videos of his daily activity they did such an amazing job (honestly, they worked miracles). Everyone in my life who had known Bruno before and after training has commented about how he is a different dog, for the absolute better. He had so much reactivity and separation anxiety, and it was creating a lot of anxiety for me as well. Bruno is now so much calmer, but is still his goofy self and is much more confident. Kit and Chris helped me to learn handling skills with Bruno to continue after the board and train program ended. I loved having the weekly sessions while my dog was in training so I could see his progress and learn how to implement what my dog had been taught. This has helped me to transfer these skills when bruno returned home. The staff at Evolve emphasize training the owner in handling skills, which I did not see at other training facilities. Like others have said, you also have to put in the work once your dog comes home, but it is totally worth it! I cannot recommend Evolve enough if you are looking for a board and train facility for your dog. I absolutely love all the report cards and updates they share.
