The outdoor seating right by the sidewalk, just a few small tables is perfect for a leisurely morning. They're open early morning until about 3 p.m., so it's a great place for a late breakfast or lunch. Just be aware that the parking is in a large lot shared with beach parking, so you'll need to pay for it. As soon as you order, they get to work. my burrito was ready in just a few minutes. Everything was fresh, and I loved that I could customize my taco or burrito just the way I wanted. The prices were very reasonable, too. The food quality was good although not outstanding, but definitely solid. Inside, it's a bit hit or miss. the air can feel a little stuffy, and it's not the cleanest, but it's fine for a casual visit. One letdown: they don't have fresh agua fresca, and the coffee is just self-serve, sitting there for who knows how long. Still, I really enjoyed it overall especially the sweet lady at the counter, who was so kind. I love supporting this hardworking local business.

Welp, I had an urge to get a breakfast burrito and Phanny's is the first place that will come to mind. I ended up ordering a bacon, sausage egg breakfast burrito with diced jalapeños. PHEWWWW. Wow Phanny. You did it again girl. WOW. 5 big booms all AROUND. There is no salsa needed. The flavor from the meat is enough. The perfect amount of saltiness, the perfect tortilla, the right amount of meat to egg ratio. This burrito did it for me. The added jalapeños add that extra spice and crunch. I love crunchy texture so the jalapeños def hit that need for me personally, and plus its a nice kick to it if you like spicy! Just do yourself a favor and try Phanny's out. Service was swift and kind. They are fully takeout only. I am unsure if this was a conversion after COVID or not, but it's a little sad to see you are not able to enjoy their breakfast burritos fresh and hot there. I believe there is only 1 outside bench seating off Avenue C. They do take apple pay, which I feel like they did not in the past. so no cash needed! There is a parking lot being the business off avenue C which is nice so you do not need to park on PCH or in the neighborhood to try to get to this business. I got the bacon one and it was crunchy and just perfect ratio of everything in there. I never finish a burrito but I sure did finish this one. That was a 10/10 !! It also did not taste greasy at all. My boyfriend got the 3 meats burrito and that was a disappointment because it hardly had any meats in there. My bacon one was more packed. You could taste more salsa than anything, he wasn't a fan. Customer service was okay. I wasn't even done giving my tip on the screen when the girl helping me was calling the next person over in line. Excuse me? The last time we were here, it was during a busy lunch and both the service and the food were below par. But tonight, it wasn't as busy and our server, Geovani, was excellent. First, we were quickly greeted and asked to select our table (since they were not that busy). Since there was only two of us, we picked a table for two. But, after we decided that we would split an appetizer and an entree, the table for two became way to small way too quickly. Geovani jumped right on this, suggesting we move to a larger table. He helped us move everything over and, voila, we were able to stretch out and relax and enjoy our meal. We started with the pear and blue cheese salad and, wow, we could have just ordered this, split it, and we would have been full. Very flavorful, generous portion that is definitely big enough to share. We also ordered the Sausage & Leek Fettuccine and I was definitely not thinking. Totally forgetting that leeks are part of the onion family (and I have a sensativity to onions). Once the dish arrive, I immediately noticed the similarity and was slowly trying to pick them away from my portion. Once again, Geovani came to our rescue. He asked how everything was and I told him I made a mistake (noted above). He quickly volunteered to have the kitchen make it again without the leeks. I asked, "Are you sure?", and he immediately said yes and removed the dish. Very shortly after, he returned with the "onion sterile" dish and it was wonderful. Both of us were so full you could have rolled us out the door. Good thing the parking garage is so close so we could just hop in our car and go home. Time to loosen the belt! ;) In a week where we have had some personal issues, it was so nice to be treated so well and received such a great tasting meal. Came to sit down and despite the place having many tables, the person by the door insisted that we have all of party present to seat us, which is understandable if they are busy but they were not even 50% full, when I said my brother was right there walking down the street, he insisted to hold his ground. Then literally 30 seconds later my brother is here, then I tell him he is right right there, he goes "ok, I will let you know when a table is ready", why not use stove common sense & say that a table is not even ready? Sounds like steering maybe because of the 4 kids ? Maybe something else? Very rude and I'm acceptable behavior. Then to add to it, turns out I was talking to the manager "Ello", who is acting in your face and challenging you more like a night club bouncer than a "manager" at a cafe....

They gave us about 2/3 of the rice and beans we typically get and because it took 55 minutes to get the order, everything was cold. If you want great fish tacos, go to Redondo or Lawndale locations.
