just nowNEW I brought my pup here to the pet hotel for labor day weekend and paid for the welcome home bath and the nail grind. I specifically asked if she got them before I paid. They told me yes. We noticed them spray something on her before coming out the door,, but didn't think anything of it.. When I picked her up she was so excited to see us and was jumping around. When we got home we realized that she smelled like dirt and did not even get the nail grind. Definitely taking her back in the morning. BEGINNER TRAINING! Rebecca does an absolutely amazing job as a trainer. She truly loves her job and teaching the young pups. My 6 mo Husky mix rescue would not listen to any commands whatsoever prior to these classes. Rebecca was extremely patient with my husky and gave me tips on how to get her attention better. By the end of the 6 week course, my dog was able to sit, stay, lay down, and were still attempting paw and leave it. But i am overall thrilled at the results. I have been recommending friends to bring their fur kids here to do training with Miss Rebecca because they surely will not regret it. I have signed up to take the rest of the course levels with her bc she is just that amazing!! read more

She came home with a foreign object in her intestine and had to undergo surgery to get it removed. Pet supervision is non existent here. Nothing has changed at home and the only other place my dog has been besides home was the pet hotel at this location. Who wouldn't be anxious having to leave their 5 month old pup at a Pet Hotel for the first time? But Liza over the phone was so reassuring so by the time we were done with our phone conversation, my anxiety level was virtually non existent. She was very informative as far as their daily activities that were standard/included in the rate and several other care packages they have available like individual play time, nail trimming/grooming, extra snack, private suite, etc... There were two other employees at the Pet Hotel we checked in with / checked out with and they were very patient and efficient with all of my questions and concerns. Thank you. I chose a private suite for Charlie to stay in. It is a small enclosed room with a glass door and a tv. The only drawback (why I gave them a 4 star) was they didn't allow me to tour the inside of the hotel. The reason was because they didn't have any staff to give me a tour at the time when I dropped off my pup. Anyway, Charlie seemed happy when we finally picked him up. Thanks Petsmart for making this fur baby mama feel at ease for Charlie's first sleepover. Hopefully next time it will be uneventful again. We recently dropped off our 2 dogs (lab and pit) at the pet hotel for 5 days! They were so great and reassuring, we had never left them that long before. They even suggested a bath/nail trim before pickup and they would waived our late checkout fee since they cost the same. So not only were my pups well taken care of but they were clean and fresh upon pickup. I will never worry about booking a vacation and leaving my pups behind again. The two girls working were very rude and it was obvious that they didn't care about what I was requesting. I stayed polite but I knew the grooming wasn't going to turn out well. I purchased a 10 day doggie camp and you get one day free. Well they give you a business like card where you have to bring it each time and they stamp it. They don't keep it in the system so if you lose your day camp card you lose all your remaining days you have left. That is just crazy! If I would have known I would have never purchased it. Also this same lady helping me at the register charged me full day even though my dog was there less than 6hrs of day camp regardless if you pick them up in the evening. Even after I explained to her that two of the previous employees told me it's half day. I take my dog to Cerritos and the employee told me yes I should have only been charged half day. At this point the only reason I come here is for the rare need of a flea treatment for my small animals. Everything else is over priced. Today o picked up a flea treatment from the display (it's a decoy box that needs the actual meds replaced). There's a long line and one register open. That's fine. I am patient. We finally get to the register and the cashier has to go get the med. she comes back and says they are out of it. There were numerous decoy boxes in the display. She said I can try a different one. I go back to the display to see if anything else will work. I noticed the line has doubled in size. I look at the other options and think, what if I pick something else and wait in that stupid line only to find out they don't have that one either? So I went on Amazon, found the one I wanted originally, it was 3 dollars cheaper and would be delivered same day with no charge. So congratulations petsmart, you officially lost me. I lost my dog and was found at the PetSmart at Whittwood town center parking lot and people asked PetSmart workers to help my dog. So people have informed me that my dog is at Petsmart, so I went to pick my dog up and apparently a groomer from PetSmart took my dog with her to her house. So PetSmart said they will try to contact her and let me know. No response all day, so I went in at night after work to see what was going on, and the manager got very defensive and told me I just have to wait for her to call me back because they can't give me ANY info about this person who took my dog or what happened. NO PHONE CALL from this person or PetSmart all day all night. So I went to the police dept to report this incident, and right then the girl who took my dog home texted me saying that my dog ran away. (But what I don't understand is: Does PetSmart have any protocols for lost dogs? I'm sure my dog was not the only one turned into a pet store. Can an employee just take any dog home like that? ) So I went back to PetSmart with the police and we tried to get hold of her again, but her phone was OFF. and I was just texting her like an hour before. So she vanished all day again and the police started an investigation and got in touch with her and she said she didn't think that the dog had an owner and didn't know that the owner was looking for this dog. (But, she is a groomer at a pet store and how could she not think that the dog owner might be looking for this dog?) So that confirms, she basically took the dog home to keep the dog and PetSmart just let anyone take any dog home. This groomer even showed her place around to the police (but she didn't show up to the site she had her relative show her house around) and explained where the dog ran out to and stuff. Then the next day, the girl called me again and said she found my dog, and my dog just showed up in her backyard that morning so she's bringing the dog to PetSmart. (Is it a coincidence that my dog just showed up to her house after missing a couple days????) So I finally got my dog back and PetSmart didn't let us meet the girl who stole my dog and matter fact she might still work there. So if you have any pets or have lost pets, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO PETMART!! Or be cautious because they might steal your pet and act like nothing happened. Very unprofessional and unethical of PetSmart! read more

FIVE STARS FOR REBECCA IN THE FISH DEPARTMENT! DEAR MANAGEMENT, YOU ALMOST LOST A $60.00+ SALE DUE TO A STAFF MEMBER BUT REBECCA SAVED IT! But TWO STARS for the store in general. And here's why: My home PetSmart is in Garden Grove, i truly ADORE the staff there. They are helpful and we always chit chat and update each other on our babies. However, I had to come to this location as mine was out of Leopard Geckos because of the insane sale that PetSmart (company wide) was having. The staff told me that that would be getting a shipment of them AFTER the sale and to try other stores to take advantage of the 50% off. After calling multiple stores, this location said they indeed have a couple Leopard Gecks in store. I was determined to add a new member to my family so I drove 30 minutes to this beautiful location. When I walked in, there were a few staff members running around as they were going to close within two hours. I quickly located the reptiles and waited for someone to help me. After 10 minutes, no one came so I decided to flag someone down. An older staff member with glasses happened to walk by and I asked her if the Leopards were still on sale (my location had signage indicating that it was the last day, this store HAD NO SIGNAGE AT ALL) and this was the communication between the older lady and I: Me: Hi, are the leopards still on sale? Old lady: (glances at price under them) No Me: Okay but your company does price match and they are listed online as $15, will you honor that? Old lady: No, we dont sell live animals online Me: Yes, I know. I understand that, but it says on the PetSmart website that they are on sale for $15. (I show her my phone) Old Lady: Well it says a different location, its not ours. You have to select ours. Me: Yes, it is set to my home location but PetSmart does price match and the other locations are having the sale. Why is your location different? Old lady: Im not sure but they arent on sale. I legit walked away from her because I was mad. I drove all the way to this location for nothing. I went in search for my boyfriend who happened to be in the fish isle.... Lo and behold a beautiful aquarium goddess walks by with a cheery smile and I think to myself, why not ask her to help me....Thank goodness that I did because she was clearly informed on PetSmart promotions and policies! She didnt even need to look at my phone or look at the reptile display. When I asked her if they were still on sale, she happily replied, "Yes, do you need some assistance? I can get it for you". She walked me over to the gecks and asked me which one I wanted. She was so friendly to me and very gentle with the geck that I picked that I decided to get TWO leopard geckos and also two African dwarf frogs from her. I could not believe that I almost walked away with nothing. She also took the time to draw cute characters on the cup that was used to transport my gecks home. Although I love the staff at my home location (Shout out to Alicia, you still da ish girl) but I am very sad that Rebecca is here. If I ever need to come to this location (which I am hoping that I wont) I hope that Rebecca is working and I will definitely not seek help from staff that are unaware of PetSmart promotions or policies.
