I am so upset. I took my dog for a groom to this groomer today, and he came back with three horrible cuts. His skin is very raw. I will never take my dog here again. I should've never left hi because the groomer Amy was calling him ugly from the time we walked in she was very mean and I should've never left him there and I came back and he was cut in three different places. I will upload pictures here please please do not take your dog there if you care about your animal read more

Follow up, I'm so upset that I didn't read prior reviews. It's been about 3 days now and my poor girl hasn't been herself. She is still traumatized from her visit to this groomer. I feel so bad for taking her. My friend told me to go to the dog lodge in La Habra next time. If you care about your pet, do not leave them alone at this groomer. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR FUR BABY HERE !!!!!! If I could leave 0 stars, i would. My dog has been traumatized ever since I brought her here a few days ago. The groomers are very rude and aggressive. They were very friendly and did a wonderful jobs on my animals ! Highly recommend them !

Best pet grooming in town. Our golden loves coming here and we enjoy taking him. They DO NOT disappoint. I've tried numerous others and we always come back to AMI. Sometimes they are so busy they can't take him that day so we have to find alternatives. If you call early enough they can accommodate. But no other can compete with how well they clean our Charlie. He loves to play on the dirt and mud and gets dirty fast. Sometimes I have to make sure that's our dog we're getting back. Always looking fresh & clean. read more

Horrible experience!! We asked for medium and it's super short. They messed up his tail. DONT COME HERE!! RUDE OWNER. How could this place improve by going to another groomers. They did a horrible job on cutting our dogs hair. We are in winter and our doggie is going to be freezing due to poor grooming. This cut is not acceptable, I recommend going to another groomers. Terrible hospitality and bad service.I'd advice if you love and care about your fur babies not to come here read more

I have a Bijon dog from Haides who fights and snaps just getting a bath. He was a rescue at about a year old, and evidently didn't get baths very often. He was matted, so his first cut couldn't have been very gentle. Now he's with us and goes to Ami's Grooming. They are very patient with him, and somehow they manage to bathe and groom him beautifully. I always ask how he did, and they say something like, "He's getting better. He only tried to bite me three times." They deserve a medal of valor for grooming my dog. I'm very happy with the consistency of the cut I get from Ami. Other places I used before going to her, I was never sure if I even got my dog back because he was cut so different every time. Ami also works hard at getting your dog out within about three hours. Other places had my dog all day, which is an unacceptable time for them to be crated. I have arrived for pickup to find him in her lap, with Ami loving on him. Also, my daughter has a large husky mix (about 70 lbs.) and she took him to Ami. They did a fabulous job debulking his undercoat and trimming him up nicely. I am very happy with Ami's Grooming and trust her with my dogs. ***I've seen reviews complaining about shaving the nose/eye area. These areas get the most mucked up from eye drainage, and it is typical to shave off the long, stained hair to grow back fresh. And this breed of dog has pink skin, so yeah, they look a little naked when cut short. Good news - it grows back quickly! read more

We took our three little dogs to this groomer. Our little one year old puppy came back with a huge wound in his back left paw. We heard the puppy scream and cry from our car parked outside! She never mentioned anything when she called me to pick him up, or even when I showed up to the business. The puppy seemed sad all afternoon and we could not figure out what was wrong. He kept licking his paw but would not let us touch him or see him. read more

Ami Pet Grooming - We asked for a medium cut and they cut our doggies hair short. - Pet Groomers Near Me - La Mirada, California

Workers were kind , however they did not give my dog the cut I asked for . I asked them to not shave him short and I wanted him to stay fluffy because he's a maltipoo and they did the exact opposite and I had to pay $80 for my dog to come out looking worse then when he came in. They also shaved down his nose soooo short you could see his skin, this is a week after his cut so it looked way worse. read more

They did an awesome job!!! We were worried because we have a mini-aussie and if you ever cut/shave wrong on an Aussie, the fur doesn't grow back as well. But he came back better than perfect after we described what we wanted. Thank you! read more

Today was my first time taking my cat to Ami's. I just moved here so I needed to find a new grooming establishment. This was an awesome experience. The groomer told me two hours, and called me almost exactly 2 hours later. She took very good care of my baby. My cat left happy and had a beautiful smooth lion cut coat. I will be back next summer. This groomer raised the price on me each time I came to visit. And the last time I got my dog groomed there she allowed him to chew through my expensive leash and then demanded I pay full price. I would not under any circumstances bring my dog to this groomer again. And I would warn anyone how doesn't like having prices change from when you drop off the dog to pick it up, not to go to this business. read more

I've been taking my 2 dogs here. Sadly 1 passed away 3 years ago. I recommend calling in advance to book a time to come in. This place gets really busy. I love the doggy door and play area as you walk in. They recently increased their prices. Overall, great service! They take their time in making our pets look and smell good. I love the bandanas they use, our dogs always would have a cute bandana once we pick him up. read more

Ami and her team is the best. They do an excellent job and always greet my baby with a warm smile.

They don't do cats anymore unfortunately. It's not easy to find a cat groomer. I hope they return to it.

This was my first time taking my cat to a groomer and I was extremely nervous. The staff was the greatest and made me feel better about leaving her. The staff took great care of my kitty and she came back home happy and clean. If you are looking for somewhere to take your cat to get groomed, look no further this is the place for you! I will definitely be back. Thank you Ami's for being amazing and taking care of my sweet Gizmo. read more

Called Ami Pet Grooming to make an appointment to have my cat groomed based on all of their good YELP ratings. I was told that because they have never groomed my cat, they would not make an appointment for him. When I asked why (?), I was told that they are just "too busy". My thinking about business and your customer base is, the bigger your customer base, the better. For the record, I was told the same thing a few months back when I tried to get an appointment for him but thought I would try again, hoping that things have slowed enough to be able to get my cat in. Nice that Ami has so much business that they need to turn away new customers but unfortunately, this will be my last ever attempt to do business with these groomers. Ciao Ami! read more

Love brining my Pom here she always leaves happy and not stressed out, not picky with the cut as long as my dog when I pick her up she isn't a anxious wreck as a pet owner you can tell I always pick her up and she's in a great mood read more

They are not good at what they do at all... the cut is not clean and trim. I told them to keep my dogs' faces round, but they just shaved them from head to toe. Looks like that's all they can do. read more

Regret taking my dogs there. Both of my dogs came back sad and in pain. My dogs nails were bleeding because they cut it too short and my other dogs eye was droopy and closed for hours. It seems like they irritated her eyes with soap or something but when I come near her eyes to wipe it, she wouldn't let me. Her eye also has a thick discharge coming out of it and she was perfectly fine before this! I will be reporting this business!!! This isn't the first time my dogs seem unwell, and I will not be bringing them back. The groomers did not tell me what happened, but after further inspection at home I noticed all these problems with my dogs. Do not go here!!!!! read more

Stay with your puppy when he/ she ate getting groomed here. They burned my puppy's genitalia. The same day I picked her up. I notice her private area a bit red and enlarged. Ami Pet Grooming - My little girl and her medium summer cut - Pet Groomers Near Me - La Mirada, California

Ami was my go to spot for both of my dogs pet grooming needs, however lately, we've felt like everytime we've gone in it's just been an inconvenience for her. I understand that they are two big dogs and that can be a lot of work, but we've been loyal to them for 4 years and have given them business for two dogs once a month for 4 years straight. Every single time I've gone in to take my dogs, she always turns us away because she is too busy. For the past year we've had an issue everytime we've gone with her telling me to come back another day. And I have always been patient until today. Yesterday I called ahead of time and asked if I could take my dogs in and she told me no, to come tomorrow instead (today). I understood and told her I would bring my dogs in today at 3pm and she told me that 3pm worked perfect. Come today, my fiancé took my dogs at 3pm and she told him that she wouldn't be able to, to come Saturday instead. My fiancé expressed to her that we called and she said 3pm would be good for today and she told him, "I know, but it was slow so I sent my help home and now it's just me". We're very nice people, so he just thanked her and he left. I don't understand what she was thinking. We do not live close by for her to waste our time like that, and this isn't the first time she has scheduled us and then backed out as soon as we get there. My dogs are the sweetest and she's always told us they are so good so why does she not like grooming them? read more
