Came here tonight and was assisted by PAUL. My son wanted a hamster, so we came here tonight and was lost, we grabbed a few things and went to check out with Paul and he HANDLED BUSINESS. He showed us what we exactly needed, referred us to a different PAIR of hamsters. He told us how they should be with another and how to handle them and gave us an amazing experience. THANK YOU MUCH PAUL.

This review is for the doggie day camp and training only. We take our puppy to doggie day camp every so often, I am usually able to call the day before or the morning of to schedule an appointment. The employees at day camp are always very welcoming and friendly to my pup and always comment on her growth lol Last but not least is a big shoutout to Rebecca, she is one of the most patient dog trainers we have interacted with. Our puppy loves her and is always excited to see Rebecca in passing. When we did have an issue with grooming, management contacted us and made it right. This store has made us feel welcome and we enjoy interacting with the staff and continuing with the services they offer.

Skin was so irritated and red pilling off himself flaky biting his legs . Bad reaction.

The first time I took my dog to the groomer it was ok . Then when I brought him at the end of June, I had upgraded it because they had a recommendation. I even paid more, and my Dog got the worst reaction dried up his skin, biting himself. He was so irritated, which I didn't understand when they shouldn't know what to do. I was super upset. I couldn't even called back. So then I decided it to go to a different location which was in Cerritos and the girl says she would've never recommended that, and that they should've gave me my money back, which they didn't, and when I took him to the Cerritos location. They were a lot nicer. He still had a small reaction, but not as bad as he did in June. I definitely would not recommend the Whittier location.

One of the worst daycares to take your dog to. I had two separate incidents at this location and their employees and manager do nothing to help you. I only brought my dog for day care and the first time they forgot to take my dog out for play time (which they admitted) and all they did was not charge me for the play time and offered a free play time for my next visit. The 2nd time I dropped my dog off she was fine but when I picked her up immediately I noticed 2 bumps between her eyes while still checking out which none of the employees or managers knew how it got there. I demanded to see the footage of my dogs stay and they kept sending me to different managers (Jess and Joel) which still didn't have an answer for me as to why I can't see it nor were they able to give me a reason why my dog had two bumps. I don't recommend this place. They don't take care of your pets here and just forget about them so please be careful leaving your animals here. My dog will no longer be returning to this POS!

I would give a zero if I could. Took my small dog a couple of times for a couple hours for doggy daycare just so he can try to get used it since we were going to leave him there for 5 days for our vacation. I picked him up 3ish hours later after dropping him off and he couldn't jump on his back legs. I didn't notice it until I came home and was giving him a bath and I saw the bruises. I called them and they said they would look at videos and that I could take him to their vet at no cost. So the next day they called me and said they didn't see anything in the video and would not let us see the video. I was so disappointed and felt horrible because I left him there and thought I could trust the staff to care for my dog. I felt like they basically implied it happened at home but that's impossible . My dog is an indoor dog and never goes outside without supervision. They obviously do not have good cameras, maybe someone kicked him or he was injured by another dog. I will never go back.

The store is always clean neat and organized but above all I take my pets to the veterinarian there inside petsmart vet check see Doctor grant. AMAZING TEAM

Kona's grooming report 4/2024

Pet smart Whittier training classes and groomers are the best!! Kona our medium size golden doodle likes coming to this store. Kona loves the training classes with Rebecca. He quickly became more comfortable being around other dogs after her classes. Kona also enjoys going to the Whittier Pet smart groomers. Kona comes here monthly. All Whittier Pet smart groomers are friendly and treat all dogs with caring compassion. This is evidenced by Kona wagging his tail the minute we open the groomer room door. He is not scared to enter the grooming area and they do a great job every time! Recently, they are giving dog parents an added picture to the grooming report, which is a nice touch for all dog parents. Come to Pet Smart Whittier for all your dog needs. You and your dog will be happy.

My puppy completed his puppy training!

My puppy just completed all his shots and I am thankful for all the staff and great service we got. Thank you Dr. Grant, Amanda and all the wonderful staff that helped us. We even signed our puppy up for Puppy training with Ms. Rebecca and my puppy went from being afraid of people and other pets to being so confident and friendly. Now he is too friendly. Thank you once again to all the wonderful staff and services from PetSmart at WHITTWOOD.

John is a really great trainer, and we're very happy with the results. Before training, Ghost had a lot of typical puppy behaviors -- digging, biting and chewing slippers, getting into things he shouldn't, etc. After he came home, those behaviors were basically gone. What impressed us the most is that the training really lasted. Ghost has now gone through his teenage phase, which we were honestly expecting to be a little chaotic , but he's still such a good dog. He understands boundaries, listens well, and is very easy to live with. Looking back, sending him to John at 4 months old gave him a really strong foundation, and we can still see the difference 7 months later. We're really happy we did it and would definitely recommend John!

We have four Bernedoodles, two of whom are still puppies, and at the time, life with them felt completely out of control. It felt like the dogs were controlling our lives instead of us being able to confidently manage and enjoy them. Then John came along, and within just two weeks, it felt like we had completely different dogs. They were able to be off-leash, our walks became enjoyable again, and we finally felt like we could truly enjoy our dogs instead of constantly feeling overwhelmed by them. John is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, calm, and wonderful to work with. He truly knows dogs and understands how to help both the dogs and their families. The difference he made for our dogs and for our entire family has been incredible. I would recommend John to anyone in a heartbeat! We are so grateful for him. Our dogs miss him already, and we know they will be very excited to see him again in the future for pet sitting!

I was really nervous about leaving him because you always hear horror stories on TikTok and the news about animals being mistreated. I am so happy to say that Zoomies was amazing. They took great care of my dog, and he was so happy when he came home. My dog is very, very shy, and the staff went the extra mile to make him feel comfortable. That meant a lot to me. I will definitely be using them again in the future, and I now feel confident leaving my fur baby with them, even for longer vacations. I also want to mention how clean the facility is. When you walk in, you do not smell urine at all. I know accidents happen with dogs, but it is clear they take pride in keeping everything clean and quickly cleaning up any messes. Seeing how clean and well cared for the facility was gave me so much peace of mind. I truly felt that my dog was in a safe, clean, and loving environment. One last thing. The name Zoomies is actually what first caught my attention. It is such a cute and perfect name for a dog daycare. I am so glad I trusted them with my pup because they completely lived up to the name.

His groups sessions feel very intimidate and he will address each dog so it feels like a 1 on 1 session which he does also read the room well so if there's any nervous dogs in there he will make sure everyone is safe . Keep in mind he's very vocal and advocates for the animals so if you aren't pulling your weight he will have a discussion with you . One rule was we were going to train her to be his service dog to help with mobility issues and we had to decide who to use to train her. We started off with the typical Petsmart training classes which were also great for what it was but knew we needed more. We called multiple trainers, had multiple consultations and no one we meshed with until we found Reymond. We started off with one class and even in the first class he gave us such amazing advice on training Hunny, techniques and was just a kind soul. We signed her up for private training lessons and he has helped Hunny to overcome some fears and training in real life vs a pet store. We were able to take her with us on a short Vegas trip where she was perfect. You tell me what young dog is able to lay down and settle at a Japanese Bbq place where all we are doing is grilling delicious meat and eating tons of food. So if you are wondering if you should hire Reymond and his company I am going to say yes, you won't regret it. A bonus is he also has group training classes that are very economical. With Reymond's help I know that Hunny will become an amazing service dog for my husband. Also, if ur lucky u get to pet his dog Pluto and give him some string cheese :)

The facility itself is very well equipped, with more than 100 rooms. They also have separate isolation rooms in case a dog gets sick, which helps prevent illnesses from spreading to other dogs. I thought that was a huge plus. All new dogs are required to provide vaccination records, and they also do about a 20-minute temperament assessment before joining. Based on each dog's personality, they arrange suitable playgroups instead of just mixing all the dogs together. The staff are also very professional and attentive. They keep daily records of each dog's eating habits and bathroom activity, which really gives owners extra peace of mind. Overall, it feels like a very responsible and well-organized place for dogs.
