I moved to a new place, and my dog Tyson was slipping and sliding all over the vinyl floors, a sure sign that his nails were getting too long. I was worried he was going to get a serious injury! I usually do his grooming at home, but the situation is less than ideal currently. He's a bit reactive so I am picky when it comes to vets, groomers, etc. I found Dash Pet Pawlor online and the reviews were positive, so I wrote them a message to see if they would take Tyson. They assured me that they are comfortable with reactive dogs and would be happy to take him in. The day of his appointment, he must have snagged his nail on something and his paw was bleeding, so I was worried they wouldn't be able to assist him anymore, but they took him and told me they'd be patient and see what they could do. Tyson came back to me in good spirits, fully groomed with nice short nails. I have no idea how they did it, but it was a miracle and I am really so grateful. I had planned to resume grooming Tyson myself once I'm fully moved in, but because they did such a good job, I am pretty sure I will take Tyson back again. read more

HORRIBLE place for short haired dogs (I can only speak for my short haired dog's experience) First time there & they were extremely unhelpful right off the bat. They said my dog "already looked clean" I brought him for a cut & bathe. They left him extremely choppy & did not cut his hair evenly or at all in some spots. This place is very horrible to drop your lovely animals at my sister groomed, her dog here, and they had a choppy haircut done on her dog and cut the nails too short, one or two nails bleeding along with a bloody eye. When I arrived, they clearly did not want to work on my dog because he was older, and gave several excuses and raised the price significantly. They were not kind and looked at my dog with a look of dismissiveness, or even disdain. Overall, it was a stressful and upsetting experience. They did not seem like dog lovers to the point where I did not feel comfortable leaving my dog with them. I drive from Venice Beach to get my girls groomed in Whittier. The groomers do not take any shortcuts when it comes to the the styles I want. We originally started attending their Pico location and have frequently been able to be seen same day although an appointment far in advance is highly recommended. I think the price is beyond fair and they groom both my dogs in less than 3 hours depending on the cut. I love how the girls leave looking and smelling incredible! Their online Appointment booking system is amazingly convenient, clear and easy. Super grateful they are open on weekends; especially on a Sunday! Not a lot of dog grooming places are open on a Sunday, so that was super helpful with our schedule. I took my two small short haired dogs here on Thursday and everything seemed good. The place was clean and very cute but ever since I brought my dog home she's been acting lethargic, she has small cuts on her arms and she's been in pain. She hasn't wanted to eat anything, she has no energy she weeps when I try to pick her up, she can barely walk up my steps!!!!! Like what the heck happened to my energetic dog??? My dog is short haired so the clippers or scissors weren't necessary, I just wanted a bath. I won't be coming here again. read more

Our boy is a huge agouti husky with long fur that's easily prone to mats and tangles. Not many groomers will service huskies, and of those who will, they just can't handle the amount of work he requires. Dash Pet Pawlor is a godsend! If you care about your pet's wellbeing, please read this before booking. I was really excited to try Dash Pet Parlor after doing weeks of research and reading so many positive reviews. Their concept seemed promising, and even though their prices are on the higher side (with no photos during the process or seasonal photo shoots like many other groomers offer), I decided to give them a shot. When I picked up my pup, June, she looked beautiful -- I even commented on how well the flower accessory on her head was staying put. But when I got home and went to remove it (like I always do so she can relax), I discovered the flower was glued to her fur. GLUED. No warning, no consent, no disclaimer. I immediately called the groomer, and instead of an apology or acknowledgment, I was met with a dismissive response from someone named David who told me I "need to remember that hair grows." As if that excuses gluing something to my dog without permission. There was no form, no verbal warning, nothing to suggest this would happen -- which makes this not only negligent, but incredibly unprofessional. I don't take leaving negative reviews lightly, especially when it comes to small businesses. But pet owners deserve to know what they're signing up for. This experience left me feeling frustrated, disrespected, and most of all, concerned for the safety and comfort of my dog. Sadly I will not be returning. After I gave instruction not to shave any part of him, they proceeded to do so. He's an Aussie, with a double coat, you never shave, you scissor. They did a great job on my doggie and he's a tough guy to groom. He's been booted out of several other pet grooming places and I told them that up front. They said they take all the dogs no other groomers will take. They were very kind and gentle with my dog. They let him sniff around and take his time to get accustomed to his surroundings. I cannot recommend this new place I tried yesterday enough I am extremely happy!! I'm always anxious trying new places in general but even more so for my fur children that can't talk lol but they made everything so smooth from beginning to end. Fantastic perfect job on the grooming of my babies which photos will be attached, but the place was clean as when I picked up my dogs they were cleaning and closing up (of course but nice to see), was greeted by the owner in the beginning who seemed nice, closed out paying with owner as well and I really liked his energy so it made me feel comfortable choosing this place. Another plus is that they text you updates throughout whole grooming process which I so appreciated because no where else really does that! I took my dog here bc they said $20 for a flea bath so I booked an appointment. When I got there the lady met my dog and I asked for the price she said it was $40 because my dog weighed 30 pounds , 20 for wash and 20 for flea bath. I was like fine I mean i'm already there so I left her. When I came back I was like how much? she said 65. I was so startled and I asked why so much first you said $20 then $40 then $65?? she said bc the wash was 45 and the flea bath was 20. We were walking our dogs in uptown and we stumbled into this place. We decided to drop our two German shepherds off for grooming and de-shedding. When we picked our dogs up later that day, our dogs had a great time and most importantly their coats were absolutely beautiful/soft. They did a fantastic job de-shedding both of our dogs. I took my 3 dogs to get bathed with one dog getting de-shedded. I enjoyed that the groomer hugged my large labrador who weighs about 120lbs as soon as he came in the business as if she knew him all her life. The de-shedding came out perfect. It has been a week since the de-shedding was done and my dog is still not shedding. As far as my smaller dogs, they were bathed, cleaned, and nails clipped beautifully.
