If I could give zero stars I would ! I brought my lab to this location twice for a bath and hair cut. Both times they completely messed up my dog ! The first experience they shaved to high on back of his head . Blaming him for moving . (On Dec31,2025)The groomer Abigail C was the one cutting him . She also didn't properly blend his legs to his cut. So foolishly I thought the second time around choosing a different groomer would be a better option. WRONG !!!!! The second time I went with Rene L (March19,2026). My dog was completely done wrong . Patches of hair , to high on the back of his head , very uneven hair cut on the back of his head and his body , tail not shaved with the base uneven , legs cut in random spots and patchy as hell , patches of hair under his neck . Oh my, this PetSmart is so pretty and well-stocked. It's the first one I've ever been to with a Dog Park and a freezer for human drinks, like cola and water. I found all that I needed, like the scissors with the ballpoint to cut around the eyes and nose and the on-the-shoulder carrier in pink and in large. Lulu might be a Yorkie, but she's a big girl at 16 pounds. The store is a good size, and each aisle is well organized. I tell you, nothing was out of place. But more importantly, I was able to stock up on her food. Normally, I have to go to several stores because there's not enough, and I like to leave some food behind for the next person. But not here; I could get more than needed, and plenty was left for the next furbaby owner. The customer service was great; the salesperson asked me if she needed to read the label for me because I was squinting trying to see the tiny words... Lol. read more

For starters, I have 2 Yorkie 3lbs each boys. Both almost 2 years old now. Thier first visit was at Petsmart on Grand prky in Spring TX. They were to get a full haircut and wash. When picking them up I was told they were adding a processing fee because 1 was too active and she needed someone to hold him down. Had not gone back there until today. Today she, (same groomer as 2 yrs ago) told me from the beginning that she would be charging extra for handling. She said allow 4-5 hrs and once they are ready, 1 have an hour or they would charge an additional $20 for holding them. That was 10am. at 12:15pm, while sitting in the denist office they called and said the boys were ready. I got up, rescheduled my dentist appt and went to get them. It was right at an hr. That young lady had charged me $40 extra dollars, as if they weren't expensive enough. The cut on one of their ears was a hot mess. She had not mentioned a thing about him not letting him cut his hair, nor did any other groomer from other locations they have used over the 2 years. She has a horrible attitude, and I don't at all appreciate her mistreating my babies, because that is exactly what she did. And charged me for it. They look terrible. Shame on you!!! If they are anxious around you, it's you not them because they only act that way with you. If you don't like the job of grooming dogs, find another job for Peets sake. Always give so much attitude and waste my time going back and forth trying to satisfy their asks so they care for my pets and still won't groom them. You pay before you get your dog & I paid $161 for a 43 pound doodle and now I know why. If you see your dog first, you wouldn't pay for the horrible mess they did. This is the best PetsMart-Banfield I've used for my fur baby and I've tried quite a few. The front desk staff are so friendly and perky. They love humans and pets. The technicians are super knowledgeable, responsive and loving towards my dog. Dr. Robert's always takes good care of my dog and leaves thorough instructions. My dog had a bad abscess caused by an infection. She's had other health issues too. I know she's in good hands here and never worry. They also make every effort to get your pet seen ASAP. They also answer the phone which is wonderful. Many Banfield locations struggle with that. My dog is happy when I drop her off! She doesn't whimper or try to leave. Last monday we took our puppy to the grooming service and we asked for the full haircut. He had long hair and we wanted something cute for his hair. When I was there I showed to the grooming lady the picture of what I want it, the classic yorkie hairstyle (the second picture). So, she took a picture of this picture and told me that she got it and if she had a question she will call me (She never called). When I went to picked him up... he was a totally different dog!! They couldnt explain me what happened and the groomer was not nice at all!! I want to clarify that my dog didnt have any hair knot!!! I brushed his hair just before the appointment to be sure and I told the lady in the front desk to touch him and be sure of that because I know that they make you pay extra if they find hair knot! Wonderful, friendly, and caring staff at the Grooming Salon. We talked to Julia & Emma, who gave us a great first impression, greeting us with bubbly enthusiasm. We were running behind for our appointment, and they still squeezed us in late. They were very helpful and communicative with customizing our Bichon's cut & style. We were assigned to Kristal, and she did an excellent job. She was very gentle and brought our little girl back to us looking exactly as we expected, with no irritations on the shaved areas. While we waited, they also took our Beagle as a walk-in for nail trimming. Although he is a bit fussy & has separation anxiety, they were patient with him. And, while they got it done quickly, they did a meticulous job. We had a stellar experience at this location, and we will definitely be back in the future with our fur babies. I've had bad experiences the last few times and They are now charging a "handling fee" if your dog needs an "experienced groomer" to cut the hair. Kendriona cut my dogs hair; it is extremely choppy and uneven. Hair is longer in different places like she missed spots. Did not follow the notes at all. Overpriced. On June 26, I took my long haired ragdoll cat in to be groomed. They called me to tell me they couldn't complete the grooming due to the cats behavior. This is the sweetest, social cat. He comes up to everyone and has never hurt anyone. When I got home, I realized the groomer had cut off all his back nails until they were bleeding. She cut his paws and they had scabs on them. This woman should never be allowed to groom animals. She tortured him. I went back up there and he had to be seen by the Bansfield vet. He received 14 days of pain meds and had to get an antibiotic shot. He can barely walk. I'm furious about this. I reported it to the manager, which they refunded my money and paid the vet bill. I've taken my oldest dog to this location for a few years and have never had problems until the past two times. I've had to take her back to get her nails, re-trimmed because it didn't even look like they trimmed her nails. Went in today with my oldest dog, who is nine and my youngest, who has one they would not do my one year old dog's nails, because he was too crazy said I needed to give him medicine before bringing him in. They did my nine year olds nails in less than five minutes. They are snagged and not all of her nails or even trimmed. I will not be taking my fur babies back to there. I had my dog groomed by Emma today at Petsmart. She called to say my dog was rolling on the table and had snapped. These are highly unusual behaviors for my dog. I have watched him be groomed with no restraint on a table in the past and typically he is sweet and wants to please. Here is an explanation for his behaviors and why I will not go to Petsmart or, specifically, Emma, again: Petsmart dog grooming can be a stressful place for dogs. My dog is young and still learning to be groomed. Previously his groomer would put him in the carrier and allow him to adjust to his setting before working with him. I specified that I would like them to take their time. He was done in less than 2 hours. He rolled on the table because she was using too much restraint. Instead of trying verbal commands, she was trying to restrict his movement. If she had spoken to him, he would have listened. He snapped when she groomed his feet because dogs in the wild who had paw injuries could be in mortal danger. He felt threatened and she did not take the time through petting and speaking to relax him, putting him in a fight or flight situation. This was unnecessary. I hope this helps inform other dogs owners. I was also charged $100 for a botched groom job. read more

Christina has been Boom's groomer for over 5 years. She always does an amazing job. I love that I can take him there and know he will get a "spa day". He is treated well and always looks great. Since I have a new kitten that has been diagnosed with cat food allergies, we have to buy prescription high protein venison or rabbit catfood. While you obtain the prescription card from Banfield, they know nothing about the directions on the cat food which has to be purchased thru Petsmart. Well, since the can has no feeding instructions, one would expect the seller to know. Wrong. So, I am left with having to contact the company for that info. When we adopted kitten, we prepurchased everything we needed beforehand and Petsmart with the exception of cat litter and collar, we found no cat liter nox that was just right. They did have a good selection of cat food for which I purchased not knowing my kitten would end up having food allergies. While they have a great supply of items for dogs, they lack in the feline area. Chewy com, their co-owner or owner offers better selections at lower prices which will be my next shopping stop and it will be delivered to my door. It is a good store to shop for pets, just not enough items such as toys etc. for felines. read more

After dropping off two of my dogs here, I get a phone call saying that my dog has pooped on herself. Mind you it had been about two hours since I had dropped her off. I come to pick her up and she still has poop on her. They power wash her like she was a car and give her back to me still dripping. They tried to charge me $45 for that service - a service they did not even provide. Luckily I was able to get my refund but now my car is covered in dirty dog water and poop. This is for the grooming salon. I made an appointment with Bethany for a bath with Furminator and a nail grind. It did take a little longer than expected but that's because she started taking care of some other dogs nails (walk ins) as my dog dried. I got to watch her clip/grind my baby's nails and she was so good with my first baby. My dog was completely dry and her coat looked amazing. I've just moved to the area and took my two dogs to get groomed here. Mind you, I've been to PetSmart grooming many times before in another state. They told me it will take about 3-4 hours. About 3.5 hours later, I get a call, thinking my dogs are ready to be picked up. They told me, they couldn't finish one of the dogs. He tried to bite the groomer but accidentally bit his own tongue. He was bleeding and they had to take him to the vet to stop the bleeding. My dog's tongue sticks out, maybe they accidentally snipped it. I've never had ANY previous groomers telling me that my dog is somewhat aggressive. But Makayla, told me that it's all in the notes, stating that my dogs are biters. Funny, never have I heard any previous groomers complain about that. She then proceeds to tell me that, maybe other groomers weren't being honest with me. That they (N. Grand parkway PetSmart) will be honest and tell me the truth. WHAT?! So which one is it? Is it in the notes or others weren't honest? I did call the PetSmart that I went to previously and ask about my dogs behavior or what is noted down. They just noted that my dogs don't like their front paws being touch, but that is all. Nothing like what this one tells me. The manager told me to come back and they wouldn't charge me. But after this? No thank you. Don't trust them with my fur babies. read more

Took my husky in to get her ears cleaned and purchased the complete package to pamper her. They called me in less than an hour and said she was done. Found out they literally only washed her and when I asked the girl at the end if they cleaned her ears she goes "no sorry" so I told her I paid for everything she goes "ugh right". Took her to the back and less then thirty seconds brought her back and her ears weren't even clean. The other seven things I paid for weren't even done. Great work lol. Hurricane Harvey, had left my little bear in a mess. I decided to go to this location since I could just take 99 down. They staff was extremely nice, and there was incident that happened they reacted quickly. One of the groomer was crying. You could tell they really love their fur clients. I was worried about my Bearstien bear because he is really friendly but also very anty. They did let me know he would be at the groomer for sometimes due to they were busy. They called me once he was ready. Erika did such a wonderful job, but also she looked like she really cared for Abearrie. I felt, I could trust her with my little bear. She was very nice, sweet, she even let me take a picture of him. She told me was a good boy, I was worried Abearrie might cause her issue. But she said he did great, just on nail he was fidgety. I have been taking my animals to the Woodlands location for a number of years and I have been well satisfied. As I live much closer to the Grand Parkway location I decided to try it. We dropped our animals off and received a call from the Dr saying that she had found some concerning masses on our dog. We agreed to tests that cost over$600 We were told we would get a call with the results I called at two weeks and I was told I would get a call soon. Three weeks went by and I called , they had the results, and they said the Dr would call me in two days on a Thursday after 3. No call. I called on Saturday and they told me it was a priority and the Dr. would absolutely call me that day. No call It has now been a month. They have absolutely no empathy; hearing that our beloved pet may have cancer was bad enough but the waiting for the results is agonizing and it's taking its toll on the whole family. What a horrible way to treat your customer's I will be returning to the Shenandoah location. read more
