We have been seeing Drs. Heimlich and Schmitt for nearly 40 years. Over the course of that time, we've adopted, rescued and lost a number of dogs. Without a doubt, this is the best veterinary practice that I've ever come into contact with. Recently I needed to speak to a vet - pronto - due to the fact that my daughter had a hold to adopt a dog from the Harris County Animal Shelter. The dog had a reaction to anesthesia during his required neuter surgery. Full details were relayed to me by the Harris County vet, but I wanted to consult with one of MY vets prior to proceeding with the adoption. Drs. Heimlich and Schmitt were not available, but Dr. Wolff called me back within a very short period of time. After explaining the situation, she gave me her professional opinion, spending quite a bit of time with me on the phone. We did decide to proceed with the adoption and promptly brought him for a check up (and for vaccines and meds that are not provided at the county shelter). As it so happened, Dr. Wolff was the only vet with an appointment late that afternoon, so we grabbed it. What a wonderful experience! Great manner with this new dog and with me - a client she had never met before. Visit was thorough and never rushed. I was very pleased. When we brought this new boy in for some boosters several weeks later, she had relayed all of his info and our discussions to Dr. Heimlich. I was grateful that she was so detailed in her notes regarding my phone call with her and our subsequent visit. Our dogs are truly members of our family. It's so nice to have a staff of vets that treat them with such care and concern. They are, simply, the BEST. read more

Dr. Wulf, Dana and Velez were all phenomenal and helped my Saint Bernard, Wendy and I feel at ease! Dana was easy to talk to and up front with the different expenses of our visit. I knew exactly what to expect before meeting with Dr.Wulf. Dr. Wulf was professional and thorough. He was warm and explained various options for Wendy's specific medical concerns understanding my love for her and the tender topic of the expense of different options including medication. Velez was awesome as well! Great team! Also while waiting to check out, an emergency happened, they received a call for a very sick German shepherd. We saw Dr. Vandemeer (sp?) on our last visit. She, along with the techs and the front desk staff, were incredibly compassionate, kind, and warm. My dog is my only child. She means the world to me. I've tried a few other places in the area since moving up but never got the feeling that it was the right fit for us. I had another dog who lived to be 15yo. He went to the same vet his entire life, but I made I career move soon after that took me 2 hours away, making that drive unreasonable. I have been with this veterinary clinic off and on for a couple of years for a couple of our pets. We have gone to another vet for twenty years and have recently been taking my Sadie baby, my 11 year old Shih tzu, to Stubner Airline. Sadie was my love, my shadow. Ok, you get she was my dog. I loved her. I took her on a Monday and she was so sick. I truly thought we would have to be put her down. Dr. Ulloa said she needs these tests, this shot, these steroids, and she may feel better, and she may need need a transfusion, and she may die. I brought he home. I had hope. She ate, drank water she she even played. I was happy. By Thursday night, she was fading fast. I called the vet Friday morning and asked for an appointment late in the afternoon so my husband could be with us. When we got there, we were taken to an exam room. It was cold and hard. At My Family Vet, they have a room to help with the end of life services for a family pet that feels cozy, warm, and inviting. The lights are low, and they have a couch and a recliner. Our doc even prayed with us. You almost feel like you can be in your grandma's house. You feel love, and you know before it's all over your furry family member will be waiting for you when you get to Heaven. All in all, Stubner Airline Veterinary Clinic is awesome , we love Dr. Ruff, she is the best. Sweet and caring. So tender. Dr. Schmidt is so cool. He is very knowledgeable and my he is my daughter daughter's cat's doctor. They just need to work on their end of life room/ area, making it feel less cold. You guys are top dogs on everything else. THIS PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF. Had an annual check up for my Dog yesterday. Set the appointment weeks in advance & asked for a documented estimate via email which was $300. During the visit with the Vet I find out there is one shot my dog DID NOT need which was $60 of the $300 so I'm naturally expecting a bill of around $250. My bill was $460! Due to blood work that cost over $350 alone and NOBODY in the examination room told me that's what it would cost. I even went as far to show them the estimate I received prior to them administering the scheduled annual shots so we were all on the same page. BAD BUSINESS. read more

I bring both of my cats here (Benji and Nugget) after I moved to this area. Before they even got a chance to meet Nugget, he was admitted into an ER due to idiopathic cystitis. I scheduled a post op visit weeks out with them but the day after he was admitted to the ER, they called to check in on him which I thought was absolutely sweet since they never met the fella. Benji was a patient a year before Nugget since he's my old man that requires dental surgery and had seasonal allergies that caused him to be seen a few times a year. They called and updated me throughout his dental surgery (for progress updates and approval to move to next steps) and followed up days after he was already home. I definitely recommend bringing your furbabies here, I drive about 30 mins to get here and pass so many vet clinics along the way and hands down I wouldn't choose any other place to care for my babies. Their prices are affordable and they are transparent. They have the sweetest and most helpful staff. First off, I wrote a book about complaints on the internet. Heck my book chapter is mentions Yelp. So this is hard to do, but important to stop the what I sence is a terrible pattern of mistreatment and abused by this clinic. I hate the fact that we live in a world where people do this to each other, but injustice is an injustice, and I have to share my story with you if you are contemplating going to this vet. If you read this review and understand, please comment, or like to push it to the top, this vet will try to silence my story. First, if you have an emergency, I highly recommend Blue Pearl Vet ER in Spring! Now to the unfortunate evil that is Stuebner Airline Vet and Dr. Solna. The phone receptionist was charming, half the reason, I stopped calling and "screening" vets were her voice, she was a gem, almost in hindsight, a little too good at "selling the clinic." Upon arriving for my first appointment with my Golden Retriever, I was told that the vet has all the records. It seemed odd because they had just sent out an email saying their phones and internet were down, but I trusted the situation. My first comment to the front desk staff was how quiet the clinic seemed. "Where are all the patients?" I gleefully shared. "Oh it's surgery day, so it's quiet." I thought it was odd that a clinic this large had THREE people at the front desk and NO A SINGLE person in the waiting room. Back in the examining room, the vet tech immediately gave my dog cheese from a can. My golden has never had human food; I was shocked he didn't ask, or offer to explain to me what he was doing. I swallowed my pride and kept watching my three-year-old dog, break YEARS of training without my consent. Next, I explained I had moved and needed support from a local vet. When the vet (Dr. Solna came into the room 20 minutes LATER), She spent about 10 minutes with my dog. She didn't ask if she could treat him, she just started cleaning out his ears. I said nothing. To make conversation I mentioned my husband and I, and she stopped up and said "Your husband?". Again, I ignored the mountain of odd things happening at this clinic. When it was time to leave the vet tech encouraged me to make an appointment "WHILE THEY HAD THE TIME" for my cat. I told her my cat was fine and I didn't need an apportionment. She said, "We will make it a meet and greet." To just get out of the office I said "sure." Oh and what a surprise, the clinic had an opening for the next day. When I got to the counter, the clinic had charged me hundreds of dollars for ear cleaning, exams, and other services, none of which I agreed to. When I challenged the charges especially the new ear drops, they said they would check. I left feeling humiliated and abused by their aggressive sales techniques, harm against my golden retriever by giving him food he shouldn't have and harassed by the snide looks and sneers about my husband (homophobia hides in so many places) The next day I wanted to cancel, I felt horrible, but I didn't want to let myself let fear of this clinic get to me, so I boxed up my cat and took sunny the dog back to the vet. With the extra time I asked to see the records for the dog and cat, and guess what, THEY DIDNT HAVE THE RECORDS. Upon reviewing the records, for sure my cat had ALL the shots / she needed. When I got back to the examining room, the same vet came in and started to ask questions. I told her, my cat has everything, I'm not sure why we are here, I was told he was for a meet and greet. Dr. Solna said, "I thought your HUSBAND would bring the cat" with a smirk. Evil, just pure evil came from this woman and her hatred of gay men. She examined luna and another couple of hundred dollars I was on my way. Three days later no one calls or messages me, but I get a certified letter, firing me as a patient. The moral of the story, this is not a vet clinic. It's a front for vacuuming cash out of people, and they are homophobic (at least Dr. Solna). Nobody should be able to do business like this in 2019 and stay in business. Be good to people, be kind to animals and KEEP accurate records so that organizations like this will be held accountable. read more

I don't think I've ever been happier to pay for an urgent care bill! I can't recommend this place enough they are amazing, loving, kind, and well staffed. I brought our three month old puppy here after a horribly traumatic experience with our X-vet across the street. Our little puppy somehow found a large plastic hair roller and stuck her head through it and couldn't get it out. She was stressed and was screaming and crying and when we took her to our original vet he refused to see us and made us wait over 30 minutes with our dog in pain screaming before telling us that she would need anesthesia and an overnight stay and he wasn't going to do it. I took a chance and came here and they took one look at me and my six year old in tears and then one look at our puppy and rushed us into a room while they whisked our puppy away to help her- they had it cut off in no time and Dr Schmidt gave her a check up and brought the plastic tube back cut in half and told us he had never seen this situation before but our baby was ok. They let us fill out the paperwork while in the room they didn't make us wait and the relief that me and my daughter and especially our little puppy felt was priceless. Dr. Schmidt was so personable and kind and has the same breed as our puppy so I felt like we were in even better hands. Every single person here loves animals and their owners and I can't compliment them enough. I even got a call the next day to see how our puppy was doing! That was the icing on the delicious cake! I brought our puppy next door to the grooming place a few weeks earlier and they cut our puppies sharp claws and didn't even charge us. I should have gone with my instincts and used them from the beginning but I learned my lesson! 10 out of 10 stars - thank you for treating new pet owners with understanding and compassion. read more

I left my pet at the boarding facility next door, and they took him to the hospital for a checkup & vaccinations, per my instructions. The doctor's handwritten notes on the resulting exam form were illegible. The woman at the hospital's front desk couldn't fully decipher them either. We finally narrowed it down to needing either 1 or 2 teeth extracted, and the estimate ranged from $1,400 to $1,700. When I got home, I discovered an empty pill bottle for a sedative among the items brought back from the boarding facility. I assumed it was given to my pet prior to his Vet visit, but then noticed it wasn't his name on the bottle. I have no idea what my pet was given, if it was given at all, or who made the error... the vet's office or the boarding facility. Overall, not happy with the experience and the cost. read more

Schmitt and dr. ammons are all wonderful! my most recent visit was for my sweet senior kitty who fell ill and was seen by dr. French-Kim. I was very impressed by how thorough her exam was and she was able to find an issue to go by. further testing was able to confirm she was right. she's so compassionate about animals and their proper care. I felt like my cats well-being was just as important to her as I feel it is. she was very patient with me to answer all of my question. I went in recently and worked with Dr Corona and a vet tech and two veterinary assistants in regards to my dogs and making sure they are all set up for when we have to move. When my dogs came in my boxer wanted to play so then he would be hyper and they staff very nicely escorted us to our room right away!:) I have a Jack Russell mix that can be really feisty with her nails and she's going up in age too which doesn't always help but the staff was very understanding with her and wanted to make sure they didn't stress her so when it came to tell me they recommended a sedation nail trim I asked about the process and they explained it and also gave me a estimate due to knowing sedatives aren't always the cheapest but my girl was fighting her trazodone so she needed it. After the appointment, her nails looked great and slept for and hour-woke up and was all happy again! A day or so later I had the vet appointment the tech was nice and understanding of both of my dogs personalities, my Boxer was a little weird for his blood draw so they offered cheese on a stick and it was easy peasy! Dr. Corona was the best! I told her the reasoning of the appointment and the issues I saw in my dogs and she did a very thorough exam and we even got cytologies on some bumps which ended up being excess blood and a benign bump. The visit overall was great even with my special pups! One staff member even helped with the door! 11/10 recommend! P.S. they are also attached to a dog park :) read more

I decided that I needed to start getting my dog regular check ups after finally getting a job that meant I could afford to do so! Honestly they made it feel like I was taking my dog to his first day of school. They were so welcoming and very patient with my little guy (who has severe anxiety issues). They explained everything so thoroughly and even helped me learn about problems I hadn't even considered. Much cheaper than I expected as well. My poor cat was coughing and sneezing so much that I had to take her to the vet. I googled "vet" at 8 pm and they were the only place open. I arrived and was promptly greeted by a very friendly receptionist. She told me about her pet insurance and although I didn't qualify , it was really kind of her to suggest it. I was quickly taken to the examination room. The nurse took her vitals and was really kind.There was an emergency and they had to tend to that pet first. However, the nurse came in and apologized for the wait. Even then, it only took 20 minutes to be seen by the vet. She was really nice and treated my kitty very gently. She diagnosed her with an upper respiratory infection and was very reassuring. She explained everything to me and made sure I completely understood. I really wish I had not needed to go to the animal hospital at 8 pm but they made the experience less awful. I will definitely make them our go-to vet for any further kitty medical needs. read more

This place saved my dogs life!!! I was in great financial hardship and my sweet sweet dog Bear had bladder stones and needed emergency surgery. We took him to Blue Pearl hospital at midnight because they were open 24 hours. They told me he needed surgery and couldn't offer any payment help except Credit Care which we were approved for $1,500. That only covered the less than 12 hours we had him at Blue Pearl just for testing. Their second option- putting him down cause I couldn't afford it. I called vets all around asking for help until I landed on Stuebner Airline. I had been praying for God to help me and help Bear and give us a break and he answered my prayers when I found this place. I immediately picked him up from Blue Pearl and transferred him to Stuebner Airline myself. They did surgery that same day and saved Bear's life. They helped me financially letting me make payments since it was such a big surgery costing way more than I could afford. It literally felt like a break in the storm for us. Bear is only 2 years old with so much life left to live and putting him down was not even in their vocabulary all they wanted to do was get Bear healthy and home as soon as possible! I could never thank them enough for what they did!! Liz the manager has an amazing heart and is the perfect example of what vets should be! We love this place. When Our boxes cassius had heart issues they took wonderful care of him we also used their boarding facility when we left town and they were wonderful with him with meds and love. He was 12 when it was time to put him down. The staff at Stuebner Airline Vet clinic were awesome. We were given a puppy 3 Willie. They are fantastic with him with shots and care. I have been with SA Veterinary Hospital for 4 years now and we absolutely love them! We have 4 dogs one being a fragile senior pup that needs lots of special care. The staff are very polite, professional and caring. Dr. Heimlich is simply my favorite vet. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. He takes time with my pets and is invested in their wellbeing. Amazing vet. We had to use them for first time about a couple weeks ago when our dog became ill. Their front desk staff is really helpful and always so nice to us the 3 times we had to come in for follow up appointment. Our dog became ill and this place is located nearest our house. They were thorough and determined issue quickly with a plan of action. I didn't feel as if I was being given unnecessary tests for extra charges, they were straight to the point and main concern was for our dog not money. Within a few days of diagnosis and showing us home treatment our dog is doing amazingly well. Their vet techs are really great and knowledgeable.
