We brought our 170-lb mastiff, Louie, in for a routine heartworm test. The tech attempted to draw blood from his front leg but couldn't get any on the first try. Instead of using a new needle or properly cleaning the area again with alcohol, she reused the same needle in the exact same spot. When that didn't work, they eventually drew blood from his neck area. A few days later, we noticed a growth on the same leg where the attempted blood draw occurred. At first it was small, and we thought it might be a hygroma since Louie is a large dog who tends to drop his weight on the floor. But by Saturday morning, his leg had suddenly swollen to three times the size of his other legs, and he could not walk at all. We rushed him to another vet because this clinic was closed. That vet took X-rays (which were clear) and told us the swelling was not a hygroma, his leg was filled with fluid and could be an abscess, soft tissue sarcoma, or another serious issue. They immediately started him on medication for infection and pain. On Monday, I contacted this clinic to inform them of what had happened after our visit. They asked for photos, which we provided. They then asked for more pictures, and we even sent the X-ray from the emergency vet. Several days passed with no response until we finally received a call, only to be told that it wasn't their fault and there was nothing they could do. They also tried to convince us that reusing the same needle in the same spot without re-cleaning the area could not cause an infection. I'm not sure what veterinary school teaches that, but basic medical hygiene says otherwise. What makes this even more frustrating is that no solution, no concern, and no accountability were offered. Even if they believed it truly wasn't their fault, the complete lack of responsibility or willingness to help was incredibly disappointing. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. Louie suffered significantly, and instead of helping or even acknowledging the issue, the clinic dismissed us entirely. I strongly urge other pet owners to be cautious and consider seeking care elsewhere.

Instead they made my family wait an hour in the exam room. Even then we had to ask someone to come in and help us. At that point the Vet came in as arrogant POS. Then proceeded to try and charge us $400 to put my dog down. $65 for the exam that wasn't necessary and $100 for the meds. So where did the extra $235 come from? I feel they just want to take advantage of a grieving family. Trying to get every dollar they can while you're obviously upset. All of that said, your pets deserve better. Don't take them here for anything.

Upon arrival, we were required to pay a $700 deposit before our cat was even evaluated. After payment, he was taken to the back, but instead of immediate treatment, we were instructed to call an animal poison control hotline ourselves which also required an additional fee. We were not informed that the clinic would also charge an even higher fee to consult with poison control. We spent about an hour on hold with poison control while our cat waited in distress. After completing lot of paperwork, He was treated with antibiotics and anti nausea medication, we were sent home with just antibiotics, despite the fact that he was still experiencing severe labored breathing. The breathing issues continued throughout the night. The next day, Dr. Goodyear called and said she regretted not administerina a steroid to help his night. The next day, Dr. Goodyear called and said she regretted not administering a steroid to help his breathing. We returned immediately to pick it up. Tragically it was too late, after giving the first dose at home, our cat vomited, began convulsing, and passed away. We later took him to another veterinary clinic for a necropsy and were told that the prolonged respiratory distress likely led to cardiac arrest. We are very heartbroken. We brought our cat in for urgent care and trusted that he would receive immediate, appropriate treatment. Instead, we feel critical time was lost, and key decisions were delayed. And unfortunately our beloved cats life was cut short.

Forest Crossing was recommended to us by Forest Shadows Pet Resort after we discovered our current vets could not help us in the international transport process. Finding a USDA approved Vet who is familiar with AND willing to do International Health Certificates is difficult. It's a tricky process, and due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, is harder than ever. We absolutely LOVE Dr. B!!! He and his staff, especially Ms. Brandi, Ms. Samantha and Ms. Abby, have been wonderful to work with. They were caring, professional, detail oriented, and worked patiently with us -and with the boarding place, relocation company and my friend who represented me- despite changing circumstances and multiple frustrating delays in our relocation process. Dr. B went above and beyond to help us, working beyond regular hours and on his days off in order to complete the vital health certificate exam - certain exams/treatments must be done within a specific timeframe, some within 10 days, and the deworming within hours of the flight. Our GSD's special needs were unflappably met every time. Dr. B's expert advice helped us navigate the process when our first relocation company dropped vital communication, and even gave us information that prevented a costly mistake. At that point, he offered us hope when he recommended switching to PetRelocation. Dr. B and Ms. Natalie at PetRelocation worked together seamlessly; we are so very grateful for their dedication, creative thinking and willingness to problem solve on our behalf in order to reunite us with our furkid. The kind professional courtesy they consistently provided is extraordinary and we will always remember them fondly! She wanted $1600 to sedate him just to take a look at what was going on. I mainly brought him because he was shaking his head a lot showing signs his ears were bothering him. She never looked in his ears. Said he was being to difficult for her to swab them to test. Then when we finally got the swab done she said their machines to test it were down but that he has a yeast infection in his ears. Charged us $70 for that test that they weren't even able to run. The discharge papers say "possible ear infection" "vitals were unable to obtain" we paid $700 basically for some medicine we could have got on Amazon for $50. I had to take him to another vet the next morning. Just avoid this place.

I read the description, and the hours and location were convenient since most vet offices (including our regular vet) close anywhere around 5:30-6:30 PM, and it had just turned 6:30 when we decided it was time to take Sunny in for a visit. I made an appointment online, and there were many available time slots open. When I pulled into the parking lot (which had plenty of parking in the small strip center), I noticed the business was well lit, welcoming, and clean. There was a coffee and cellphone charging station in the waiting area as well. There was convenient self check-in on tablets, and no sooner had I hit the check-in button than a vet tech was ready to welcome us into one of the clean exam rooms. I was even offered a beverage, which is something I've never been asked before. The vet tech was extremely friendly, patient, and thorough, just like our regular veterinary office. Sunny was handled with such care, and any questions I had were readily answered. The care suggestions and pricing were given after my consent, and they offered multiple options without being pushy or judgmental whatsoever. The prices were really reasonable, almost the same as a regular vet visit and not the outrageous emergency vet clinic prices I expected. I also gave permission for records to be sent to Sunny's regular vet office, and they did receive them overnight. Sunny was handled with such care throughout everything, and she was made to feel very comfortable. Both the vet tech and the vet eased my mind so much. Every question I had was explained thoroughly, including the blood test results that were printed out for me. My husband wasn't present, so when I had him on speakerphone, they were just as kind and thorough with him as well. We were given great guidance, very detailed overview notes, and at-home treatment advice. Hopefully Sunny or our other two cats don't get sick again, but if they do and their regular vet isn't available, we'll most definitely come back to UrgentVet. The following day, the vet from UrgentVet even called to check in on Sunny's progress. Since we had to work the following day, we decided to take Sunny to her regular vet for observation, and their office was impressed that UrgentVet gave the exact same treatment they would have. Having all of Sunny's records sent overnight by UrgentVet was also incredibly helpful. Sunny is back to normal now, and we're so very thankful to UrgentVet for all of their care.
