Absolutely love this groomer! I have taken my Shih Tzu's to other places and they've been traumatized by the lack of patience of the groomer just trying to get another dog done. Ms. Beth took wonderful care of our fur babies (we have 4). She was honest when I brought one of mine in for a grooming and he was matted beyond grooming. I'll admit, I brush my dogs but definitely not as often as I should (life happens and we get busy) and for that I couldn't blame Ms. Beth for having to take his coat down shorter than I'd have liked but I totally realized that was on me. My fur baby was much happier with a short haircut than the knots up against his skin. read more

I contacted this groomer for a first-time visit for my 6-month-old puppy, because I had heard good things and because their website indicates that dogs are not left sitting for hours waiting for a groom. I requested that my dog not be crated during the grooming process. Honestly, I don't know how you can groom a crated dog. My puppy does not like enclosed spaces, we don't crate him, and I did not want his first grooming experience to be frightening. Rather than contact me by phone and discuss my concerns my appt request was declined and I was told via text to look elsewhere. Yes, a Text! Professional, right? I certainly won't be recommending this groomer to anyone I know who owns a dog simply because of her insensitivity and lack of profesionalism. read more

Driving thru and needed to get the doggo cleaned up a little while on vacation. Stopped in and was super impressed. Friendly clean place. I would very much frequent here if I was closer. I used Spa La Paws as I was new to town and was referred by many friends who have small dogs. The dogs looked beautiful but it was the most expensive grooming I have ever seen! I paid more for that grooming than I to have them groomed twice in LOS ANGELES! In addition, I took them from their appointment to the VET for a checkup and the vet was appaulled with the ears. He said they had DEFINITELY not been cleaned and were definitely not plucked (service promoted on the Spa La Paws website). So the VET charged me $40 dollars on top of a $250 grooming charge. read more

We have brought my Maltese for 5 years to Spa La Paws and we love it. We drop her off and spend a little time in Old Town Spring and before we know it she is ready. Today they took a Christmas picture of our sweet pup and gave us a card with a copy of the picture. Highly recommend them! read more

What an amazing service. The place is by appointment and sometimes they get booked for a good while so beware to leave you appointment for last minute. They are always on time for your appointment and are accurate on the estimated time is going to take. They not only do an excellent job at doing a good grooming they also put little details to their work. Their drop off spot help a lot too for a quick in and out. I just had my Morkie groomed here yesterday. He's been here several times and they always did a great job before. Today was different! I am so sad and angry, I dropped him off and spoke with both Beth and her daughter about not wanting his 1-1/2 inch eyelashes cut. Well she cut them all off but left 2 skinny long lashes at the very end of his eye that look ridiculous now. I'm still in shock of why she would do this when I said not to and she never cut them before???? I didn't pick him up or I would have talked to her about it then. I called and she hasn't returned my call yet. So very sad as it will be a very long time if ever, that his lashes will grow back. Very unhappy customer! read more

I went to three other groomers before going to Spa La Paws. My neighbor even takes her dog to Spa La Paws now. I love the fact that I can drop the two dogs off, run around Old Town Spring, shop or go have lunch, and pick the dogs up two hours later. What I don't like about other groomers is that you have to drop the dogs off early in the morning and leave them there all day long in cages and stressed out. The set-up Spa La Paws has is so much better and less stressful for the dogs. Not only that, Beth does a fantastic job! She listens to what I want and delivers it each and every time. She gives the best Schnauzer grooms of all! So much so, I'm willing to drive across town from West Houston to go see her every few weeks. I just took my mini schnauzer, Bunny, to Spa La Paws for the first time today and they did a great job on her!!! The ladies greeted us with smiles and attention. Hair cut was exactly what I was looking for and Bunny was in very good spirits when I picked her up. I'm still cracking up at the little stick on rhinestone earrings they put on her ears. I have been looking for that perfect groomer in the area. I hate the retail chains, they don't seem to care like the groomers at Spa La Paws did. I was wary of the building but you can never judge a book by its cover. Great staff and very caring! My pup loved her cut and all her bows in her hair. Great grooming place! I like the mini gate they have upfront so the dogs can't escape. I showed a picture of how I wanted my baby groomed, and he came out looking perfect and smelling great! The grooming lasted an hour and just a couple of minutes like the nice ladies said! read more

When I first found spa la paws I thought they would be amazing groomers. I loved all of the pics she had posted online of the dogs after they were groomed. The first couple of times that I brought my THREE little dogs there I thought they did a good job. But that all changed after the third visit. ( which by the way, they claim they have only seen my dogs two times....not true at all. They have been there 4 times) I wanted them to be bathed and have their faces cleaned up. They were bathed and that was it. No trimming around the face. I thought to myself, well they usually do well they just must have been busy. So I booked my pups for another grooming about two months later. When I dropped my dogs off for the next grooming appointment I told them that my pup was slightly matted and if they could brush her out great...but if not let me know. About three hours later I got a call that my babies were ready to go home. Upon picking them up the groomer then proceeded to tell me that since they had to brush my dog out she would matt up again faster. (If I had known this prior to them grooming her I would have simply instructed them to give her a trim instead, but they never called me or even mentioned it until it was too late) two days later, my poor little dog was fully matted all over her entire body! I called the groomer to let them know what had a happened and that I was not happy. I expected them to rectify the situation. Instead they chewed me out! And now my poor puppy is going through the traumatic experience of being groomed all over again only a few days after she was just groomed by spa la paws! The new groomer also informed me that brushing out the matts is a painful experience for the dog. When I asked the groomer at spa la paws during a previous visit they told me not to worry....that it doesn't hurt the dog at All! I would NEVER have had her brushed out if I knew it was a painful experience! Needless to say, I will never bring my three dogs back to spa la paws! They obviously do not care about he comfort of the dog or the satisfaction of the parents! I also always tipped them very well! I am new to Texas and would have brought my dogs here for many years to come if we had had a better experience. read more

In the 18 years we've owned schnauzers we've tried lots of groomers. Spa La Paws is by far the best in town. It's clean and well run by a caring family, and my pup always looks great. Best of all, I can drop him off and pick him up an hour or two later instead of having to leave him there all day. Great excuse for a little lunch and shopping in Old Town Spring! read more

Beth, thank you so much for being such a good groomer. You are the best. My dogs are always beautiful when you are done. I so appreciate the care you take in not traumatizing your clients. They are in and out within a couple of hours or less. Also, I noticed one lady mentioned something about matting. Something wrong with that. I know I have brought my dogs to you, and you absolutely will not do anything but shave them down if they have matts in their hair as you say you will not put them through that Even when I have begged for you to go ahead and do it, you have refused.
