When I arrived to the residence the dog decor helped confirm I was at the right place. They have a great and professional setup at the residence with nice decor. I did enjoy that the expectations for time were accurate. I was so happy with the photo shoot pictures provided! It definitely made it an experience that exceeded my expectations! I have definitley found my place for my dog's grooming.

My main worry is who is watching these dogs? And how no one was able to give me a straight answer on why and how my dog got hurt. Poor baby was anxious and scared the whole day. Went back to cancel the doggy day care plan that I had purchased, once again the girls at the front desk were understanding and cooperative but i just wouldn't risk bringing my dog here again.

Her room was a good size, well kept and clean. We usually don't keep her with other dogs and they made sure she could stay separated when having the outdoor play time and using the bathroom. Play, feeding, and bathroom were included. Very grateful for the fantastic/attentive staff and reasonable care. We would definitely book again in the near future.

Ms. Beth took wonderful care of our fur babies (we have 4). She was honest when I brought one of mine in for a grooming and he was matted beyond grooming. I'll admit, I brush my dogs but definitely not as often as I should (life happens and we get busy) and for that I couldn't blame Ms. Beth for having to take his coat down shorter than I'd have liked but I totally realized that was on me. My fur baby was much happier with a short haircut than the knots up against his skin.

Leah does such an excellent job on both of them. They both always look and smell glorious when I go to pick them up. I also love that I drop each of them off and receive a call as soon as they are done. No sitting in a locked crate for hours here! Leah is a true animal lover and a big advocate for rescue. She works with the dogs no matter where they came from, but since both of my dogs are rescues, I so appreciate the patience and understanding that she exhibits when my dogs are there. Both of my spaniels get great cuts and they look like show dogs when they leave. I would not go anywhere else to get my dogs groomed. A locally-owned small business that always goes the extra mile. Highly recommended!

Before she went, I'd worked with her on sit, down, take it, leave it, and some spins with decent success. Brian took what she had and built on it, adding heel, come when called, turn, and stay. He returned a noticeably different dog. When we hit some bumps shortly after, he came back out and spent a solid hour with me going over what was actually happening...not just commands and corrections, but why she was behaving the way she was and what she needed from me to feel secure. (Spoiler: she needed me to be more confident and consistent.) He has a way of cutting straight to what matters without overcomplicating it, and more than once he said exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment. What struck me most across both experiences was how much genuine wisdom he brings to his work. He's clearly someone who has learned his craft through deep experience and observation, and it shows in every interaction with the dog and with the owner. On top of all of that, his pricing was incredibly reasonable; boarding and training combined for what many trainers charge for training alone. We felt genuinely taken care of. Kind, patient, perceptive, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.

They have recently renamed to Barks and Wildlife Retreat, but the great service and friendly staff remains the same. I love my senior dog Bryn like my child and she is very particular with who/what she likes, however I never have to worry when I drop her off for extended boarding and they take very good care of her. They have gone a great job at giving her medication, vitamins, and one-on-one playtime, since she's a feisty girl that doesn't like other big dogs. I have boarded her at this location countless times over the years and she actually really gets excited when arriving. For added peace of mind, all of the suites come with cameras at no extra cost, that can be accessed through an app so that you can check in on your fur baby at any time while you're away. They also do a fantastic job at sending me photos of her during playtime so I never question whether she's getting individualized attention. The staff will gladly give new owners a tour when visiting for the first time, and likewise allow pet owners to walk their dogs in to the suites when dropping off for boarding to ensure pets are comfortable and know how to use the doggy doors. Overall, I feel you get what you pay for at this location given other locations will nickel and dime you for playtime, cameras, AC controlled kennels, medication administration, or have restrictions on bringing in personal items. I am able to bring her big comfy bed for her to lay on in case she's not feeling the provided hammock style beds. They have also recently added grooming services, so you can pick up your pet freshly groomed or bathed, since they do tend to get a bit dirty running around and playing in the courtyards. I will continue to use Barks and Wildlife for however much longer Bryn is with us, so don't hesitate to trust them with your pets on your next getaway.

We were looking for the place online to call and ask, and it turns out they are closed on Mondays. We got our fish on a Sunday. Then I checked their return policy and they only have a 24 hour return policy. No fish, no interest in going back. For everyone else: don't go on a Sunday if you are planning on buying fish.

I LOVE THESE GROOMERS!!!! I have never written a review before but a friend of mine was taking her dog to these groomers today and told me that she had read some bad reviews. I was surprised to here that so I looked them up today. Here is my experience and trust me, I am VERY picky about who I choose to care for my girls!! I have been taking my sweet baby doggies to Spring Klein Pet Salon for more than a year now and I love the service that they provide!! I will continue to refer these groomers because my dogs LOVE them and they have never been stressed out after a day of grooming. A few months ago I walked into Spring Klein Pet Salon to pick up my girls and the groomers were giving special care to another dog that was there for a groom. I asked what was going on and found out that the dog was in labor. The dogs owner had casually mentioned "oh, she might be pregnant" on her way out the door when she dropped off her dog. So I get there to pick up my dogs & I watched these ladies lovingly care for the little mamma and her new puppy in what was a very stressful time. It was this little dogs first time at the salon and here she was... having pups. It was for sure above and beyond for these groomers to make sure that mamma and baby were doing well and comfortable. The mamma wanted nothing to do with her new pup and these ladies at Spring Klein Pet Salon were working with the mamma and helping the new born. These people care very much for those four legged family members we trust to them. I 100% know that these people care for my dogs like they are their own. They take the time and care to do the job right and I appreciate that touch. I don't ask my hair stylist to rush through my color and cut because I have a prior engagement and I don't do that with my girls either. Spring Klein Pet Salon is growing fast, no surprise to me! So there may be a few growing pains that happens with any new business but I have never had an unpleasant experience here, and I know several people who feel the same way! As far as the 2 negative reviews that I read here, make sure you scroll down and read the good reviews as well. Who ever you choose to groom your pets, make sure you allow time for them to be pampered! Just my view! read more

The owner, Bonnie, and her wonderful staff have been grooming my dogs for years. I got her recommendation from a friend who uses her salon exclusively. I'm so proud and pleased to have their grooming services so readily available to our community. They are an asset!!! I am shocked that any person (Sandy) would have the nerve to dictate exactly what they want a groomer to do and then complain about the results. If you are not pleased with their services go somewhere else. The choice is yours. If you have not been happy with a dog's haircut, then I suspect that's not all you are unhappy with. Plus, people should treat their dogs for fleas and bathe them frequently. You cannot take in a stray and expect it to turn into a show dog. We will always use their services and support their business. We have 1 Pomeranian, 1 Yorkie and 1 Shitzu. We are always pleased with our results at their establishment. read more

I just saw this post about a yorkie that the owner name of Sandy didn't get what she asked for, and I am APPALLED by the review she gave these wonderful groomers. I have been going there for 6 years with my retired show yorkie that has a thick coat of fur unlike the picture that has been uploaded of Jelly Bean and the thicker yorkie in the referred picture. My Yorkie loves going to Spring Klein Pet salon, the employees and owner love her and she gives them kisses all the time. The owner of Jelly Bean must not have eduated herself about yorkies and the different types of fur that they have. She could have possibly gotten her dog from a back yard breeder or a pet shop that gets their dogs from puppy mills. All I have to say is I love Spring Klein Pet Salon and I will stand by them and not take Diamond anywhere else because they treat her like she is their own. read more

My husband and I took our 10 year old cat in to be groomed. We normally take her to the vets office and they knock her out for the grooming. Well, the vets office flooded and they don't know when they'll reopen, so we began our quest for a new cat groomer. Now understand that I am "one of those pet mommies" that wants to make sure that my fur-baby is not being mistreated! Eve, our cat, was heavily matted due to her hair not growing in right last time she was groomed at the vets. The owners and groomers did such a fantastic job! Our cat wasn't knocked out, she wasn't mishandled and she came out looking beautiful! Funny thing is our cat actually did the mishandling!! Anyway, from now on we will be taking our cat and our dogs there. I don't think I'd be comfortable taking them any where else!!! read more

My experience is not like the other two that have posted on here. I have been taking my 5 large dogs to Bonnie since she has opened and never once had a problem with getting appointments and with the way she grooms my dogs. They are always treated like they are her own, never scared to go in. When I pick them up they look the way I want them to and are very happy. She is very well priced, and believe me I know I spend a bunch when I go here. I have never have had a bad experience with Bonnie or seen her treat her customers without the upmost respect. I defiantly would recommend Spring Klein Pet Salon to everyone that has animals that need to be groomed or need anything else done with them. read more

I have been coming to this shop since they opened. I have never been treated with anything other than, respect! She does a GREAT job with my babies! I have never left the least bit unhappy! My animals are treated with the upmost respect! I have been searching for years, to find a groomer who cares about the animals and the clients needs as much as they do! I have had nothing but great experiences with Spring Klein Pet Salon. I have a very big dog that is not the easiest to bathe or take care of. He also has high anxiety. They have been nothing but kind to me and my dog. My dog, Patton, has always been very well taken care of and looks great when I pick him up after his grooming. After being evacuated by Hurricane Harvey, they took in all 3 of my dogs and took great care of them. Spring Klein Pet Salon picked them up in the rain when they were wet and dirty; they cleaned them up, clipped their nails and treated them wonderfully for two weeks until we were able to get them back home. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is in need of pet services! You will not be disappointed! read more

We took our precious 3 month 3 week old Yorkie here for his first puppy cut! We had a photo in mind and showed them what we were wanting! I picked up my dogs on Friday, and when I finally got a closer look at my fluffy corgi, I noticed she looked almost like my standard corgi. A significant amount of her fur had been cut from her butt, legs, and mane area. Normally, when I drop my dogs off, staff ask what type of grooming or cut I want. This time, no one asked, so I assumed they would follow the usual grooming notes they keep on file for my dogs. I was rushing to pick them up before closing and had to get back on the highway, so I didn't notice the haircut until I reached my destination. The before-and-after difference was very noticeable, and not only did I notice it, but several other people commented on how short her fur had been cut. What upset me most was the lack of communication. No one contacted me to confirm cutting off that much hair, and I didn't receive a call or text before the grooming was done. When I called and asked who groomed her, the manager told me it was the same groomer who usually works on my dogs and said she didn't know why the cut was done this way. At the same time, she mentioned seeing my dog on the grooming table and noticing she wasn't fixed yet and had already gone to daycare without anyone realizing--again, without any confirmation or communication with me. I've been a loyal customer and consistently leave 20% or higher tips because I appreciate good service. Unfortunately, this situation didn't feel like it was handled with genuine accountability or concern for what happened. I'm very disappointed with this experience. I trusted that my dogs' grooming history and preferences would be followed or, at the very least, confirmed with me beforehand. Sadly, this experience makes me feel like I may need to find another place for grooming.

I have been there a few times to be sure I gave them the benefit of the doubt…read more Only one was I satisfied. 1) the prices for the grooming goes up every time I go even though the cut on the poodle stays very basic. 2) the quality of the cut is poor; uneven ears, gouged parts where hair is extremely botched. 3) incomplete work, don't do hair in ears or have obvious uneven areas. 4) the price for dog groom doesn't include basic things like trim face and feet, if you want your poodle to have shaved face and feet you'll pay extra. 5) if you're dissatisfied, don't bother bring dog immediately back to show them, they make it worse by trying to fix it. Don't go there!! Unskilled workers and unexplainable pricing.

Without a doubt, this is the best veterinary practice that I've ever come into contact with. Recently I needed to speak to a vet - pronto - due to the fact that my daughter had a hold to adopt a dog from the Harris County Animal Shelter. The dog had a reaction to anesthesia during his required neuter surgery. Full details were relayed to me by the Harris County vet, but I wanted to consult with one of MY vets prior to proceeding with the adoption. Drs. Heimlich and Schmitt were not available, but Dr. Wolff called me back within a very short period of time. After explaining the situation, she gave me her professional opinion, spending quite a bit of time with me on the phone. We did decide to proceed with the adoption and promptly brought him for a check up (and for vaccines and meds that are not provided at the county shelter). As it so happened, Dr. Wolff was the only vet with an appointment late that afternoon, so we grabbed it. What a wonderful experience! Great manner with this new dog and with me - a client she had never met before. Visit was thorough and never rushed. I was very pleased. When we brought this new boy in for some boosters several weeks later, she had relayed all of his info and our discussions to Dr. Heimlich. I was grateful that she was so detailed in her notes regarding my phone call with her and our subsequent visit. Our dogs are truly members of our family. It's so nice to have a staff of vets that treat them with such care and concern. They are, simply, the BEST.
