Hello I went to see Dia the very first day walking up to the counter. We got very shrug faces almost unwanted faces from your employees or your volunteers. We got to see Gia the meeting went great. We told them we will be back tomorrow to grab Gia and to do a meet and greet with our dog Kobe, Kobe showed no signs of aggression. The lady that was holding Gia did not even want Gia to meet Kobe. She kept a leash really tight she did not allow them to like interact, the place that we were supposed to do the meet and greet was very unprofessional. It was in the back of a store where there's so much noise and so much going on that Gia's attention was somewhere else. They came across as if they did not want us there. They did not want us to adopt a dog. They were your staff when I say they were very unfriendly and rude. I felt discriminated against. I felt like they didn't want their dogs to go to a black family I felt Hurt that they would rather leave Gia in a jail skinny, starving and hungry then to send her home with a good family. We have a big backyard. We have a doggie door. Gia would've gotten the best love and attention that she could've wanted and yet your staff was so racist that they wanted to leave her there . It was awful. It was an awful experience. You guys had me bring my dog which has never left the house to go meet another dog in a very uncomfortable situation all the way around the experience was horrible your staff, rude and disrespectful. The only person that was nice to us was a gentleman that showed us Gia on the first day , when we came back to get Gia they were rude and very unwelcoming. I really feel like it was a racist situation and I don't like it I don't like the feeling I don't like the way that the whole thing went down and all I wanted to do was take Gia who is in need and give it a better life but because of the way that your staff acted, I would rather go out and pay for 5000 for a dog didn't have to feel the way that they made me feel trying to help shelter dog Unprofessional races experience, and I am going to do a yelp on this that Petsmart was racist like it was horrible to walk in there they didn't greet you. They didn't say hi to you. They frowned that you they acted like they were too busy to even look up to even speak to us and I just called and said I was on my way in if they didn't want us to take the dog, they should've just said that but to act like my dog was going to bite Gia And act like they didn't even want my Kobe to meet Gia it was crazy. The whole experience was crazy. It was horrible. Never again I'll go to a breeder. read more

Jessica is the best and most patient dog trainer! my pup absolutely loves her. We love this location, it has doggy day camp and pet's hotel. read more

We took our puppy Wicket in to get his first groom yesterday. Mickinley was absolutely fantastic! He had never had a grooming before and she was super sweet. She explained everything to us-- which was awesome for us as new pup-parents! She also did what she could with his eyes since he wasn't very happy about her being hear there, but we love what she did. He is normally kind of squirmy with new people but he was great with her! It was evident that she cared and he seemed to like her. We will definitely be coming back to have her groom him again! (-: read more

PetSmart - Pet Stores Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I used to love coming to this location but recently the change in staff has been disappointing. Isabella was extremely rude and was giving me false information during my last visit. Every time I have an encounter with her, it is very unpleasant and unprofessional. read more

Super disappointed in this pet smart have been shopping here for several years and I will now not go back to this location, and no longer use them to groom my five dogs. Had an appointment for my heavier aussie with hip problems. She is very difficult to get around and desperately needed a trim. Got to the grooming salon 15 minutes Early, and had to have some paperwork I forgot run up to me. The guy at the counter told me it was fine because my groomer got a flat tire and was going to be late anyways. Me wanting to make sure my dog was take on care of told them about her hip problems saying the area was sensitive and she has problems jumping onto surfaces. I mentioned that she might have had a pill which would help her but probably hasn't taken one. Then a lady in the back working on a different dog yelled at me saying they couldn't take her now. She stated that she had to see the bottle or she cant be groomed. I got confirmation from my mom that she did not have the pill and the lady rudely continued to tell me she couldn't take my dog. First of all why would you tell a customer that your employee is going to be late. Second the lady was extremely rude and since she had not had a pill there should have been no problem taking the dog. Lastly this experience was a huge inconvenience to me and completely wasted my time especially since it's so hard to travel with my dog. worst experience I have ever had in a store and I hope they learn to do better. read more

I honestly dont know how to review this location. The customer service/retail part is good... cashiers were very nice and always welcoming. But the grooming area, NOPE. I paid 105 for my dog only to be returned patchy. Big patch line by the neck area, just bad! They said it would take 3-4 hours, brought our pet at 9am and they waited EXACTLY at 1pm to call us. Call us crazy but we believe our pet was done before that. I didnt see no sweet talk or friendly attitude coming from the groomers. Horrible grooming service, not returning with them. read more

Helped out in every way possible. Shawn was helpful in the store as well as the parking lot. Young girl w red shirt in the doggy hotel also was a big help she had just got in and was able to help out right away read more

poor grooming service and kristina was extremely passive aggressive which caught my family and i super off guard. 10/10 won't recommend

I took my puppy there.. They cut his hair too short blade must of chipped his eye brow it was swollen for a month.. And they cut his nail too short made him yelp... They need more training because 5 people to hold down a puppy to get groomed is too much.. Workers smell like cigarettes... Its a dog groomer they need to be clean also... read more

Love this location! Nice and clean, and very nice people working there. The only down sides are that it's a little hard to find things and sometimes the prices marked are higher than what they ring up as. Not too bad of a downside though; it's like a surprise sale! lol read more

I love the pets hotel here! My husband and I adopted 2 labs, and they have a ton of energy. I knew the petshotel had a day camp, so I took my lab pups there. They loved it, and I loved that they came home tired! We've been a bunch more times since, and I've gotten to know the crew there. The associates absolutely love the dogs and really enjoy doing what they do! We boarded them just recently, and one got sick. The care and love they gave to him was incredible. I will for sure keep going there with my pups! Thank you to the amazing crew, read more

Stay away from their grooming! After years of bringing my dogs here for grooming we brought them in for an unscheduled nail grind. They took them to a table with a new groomer and new manager. One of my dogs was tail between the legs scared, which I've never seen, and yelping/trying to get away from the new groomer. One of the groomers that's been there a while took over and my dog calmed down. The new manager then came over and informed me that since my dog was "a bad dog" she wouldn't normally be allowed back, but since she behaved for the one groomer she'd make an exception so long as we asked for her. My dogs have gone there for three years, we're always given good pawgress reports. When we entered several of the groomers exclaimed their love for our dogs and came to see them. Because one manager called my dog bad after one encounter where she was terrified of a new groomer they will never see my dogs again. I recommend you do the same. read more

First time getting my puppy groomed and I don't know if I'll go back. Their prices are a bit high considering what was done. $50 for a top dog patriotic wash and some portions weren't finished. The staff was polite but I was told when I picked my puppy up she didn't do well getting her nails cut. Umm, she's young and I would think other puppies have similar issues when having their nails worked on. I brought her home and checked her over. There's dirt in her ears still, her fur feels "filmy" and her nails look as if they were barely trimmed. read more

Grooming was super rude today and the lady that helped me was gone when I went to pick up my dog so I didn't get her name. My Aussie was scared to go in right off the bat, so I was easing him into the salon and giving him treats along the way. No one asked to help or hold the door or anything. There was some miscommunication when I called on the phone they told me to come in tomorrow when I showed up the appointment was set for the next week. I understand that that's not the her mistake but she was rude to me about when asking if he could just get a trim on his nails instead. Her tone of voice was very demeaning in that I know we can't cut the nails but if he's breaking skin then his nails could use a grinding. She was sassy and said if he lets me then I'll do it. I am reluctant to go back because even if there was a mistake they should want to make things right and be nice about it. read more

I had my Bichon Franz here just around the 4th pf July. We got excellent service, heardclots of options for his itchy skin condition and got the Apprentice Groomer discount. I'd never heard of that before. Franz was treated very well and we will be back with Hans, his chubby brother. read more

I have been taking my Reese to this facility for over 5 years. She is a member of Banfield medical and they have always given her tip top medical care. Especially since she had knee surgery 5 years ago leading to her 1st visit. It was so successful nobody sees an effect on her walk. Customer service is awesome. They have helped us with our pampered princess picky appetite and dental treatment. Nichole (designated groomer) has been dutifully trimming nails, brushing hair and teeth, and precision haircuts for a few years now and Reese is smitten with her. I honestly don't know why anyone would give less than 4 stars to this place. They must be having a bad day. Cheer up people read more

If you truly love your dog, you will avaoid this place like the plague‼ DO NOT ‼bring your dog to get groomed here. My dog was perfectly fine prior to his grooming. He came back home not like himself and he was dragging his bottom all over the house. It almost seemed painful for him to walk. The groomer failed to call me after she was finished, bc she "didn't have the time " my dog was created for God only knows how long after his grooming and without food and I assume water, bc he came home and drank water for a good 10 minutes... I could honestly go on, I feel bad for my dog and now need to spend extra money for a vet visit to see if his bottom is okay. read more

WORST store ever. The employees don't give you the time of day. Stood at empty registers for about 5 minutes. An employee with a long gray beard came by, looked at me standing at the empty register, turned back to see if anyone was available, made eye contact with me, never said a word (no greeting of any kind), and then just walked out of the store leaving me standing there yet again. When a cashier finally came to the register, absolutely NOTHING. No conversation. Nothing. If zero stars could be given....: read more

Jessa is the best she has taken care of My Syberian Huskey (Demon) and he aways looks amazing when she gets done with him Thanks Jessa!!

My husband and I are regulars in this store. I mean every other day at least. I just never thought about acknowledging them in a review until yesterday when I truthfully realized how much I appreciate everyone in this store. We have 5 puppies, which as you can imagine is a handful. We wanted to take them to all see Santa yesterday, so we figured let's just try. When we brought them in as you can imagine all eyes are on us looking like crazy dog people, but the staff is always so welcoming, know us by name, as well as our dogs, and ALWAS wait on our hands and feet. They all got our pups organized to sit with Santa and the picture turned out adorable. I just would like to say the staff here is by far the most wonderful, I don't ever take my puppies anywhere else because they are always so excited to be loved on by everyone in this store. Todd the Store Manager has gone above and beyond out of his way to help us with everything, weather that's a price match or figuring out a coupon! They are great and we look forward to more trips to PetSmart. read more

This is a letter I wrote to PetSmart and sent to the store in question as well as so the Headquarters. Thank you for your services in these past few months. It is quite difficult to entrust one's pet to someone else's care, but what happened today goes beyond the issue of pet care. I learned at 11:45 today that my dog was ready after her bath. Although the person who helped me when I took in my dog verified my phone number and said I would receive a call when my dog was ready, I did not receive any call, but I headed to your store as soon as I saw the email. I came in, paid for the services, and walked into the grooming facility to pick up my dog. I waited a few minutes while phone calls where answered, no one asked me anything, no one replied to my greetings, but I waited patiently, seeing that everyone was busy answering calls, even though there were three people present and waiting. When I finally got someone's attention, I asked for my dog, who came in shaking and wearing a red bandanna. I asked whether something happened. I felt worried for her. The person told me nothing happened. I asked why I was not called right away and was told that something might be inaccurate with my contact information, in a tone that suggested to me that it was my fault that I was not called, and I pointed it out. While this conversation went on, another customer inserted herself into it. When I told this customer to stay out of my business, the customer used foul language: "You can kiss my ass." A store in which a customer is allowed foul language is not safe and cannot be considered a trustworthy place of business. I trust you will do whatever is in your power to prevent such behavior from being tolerated. The appropriate behavior from the Pet Smart employees present at the scene should have been to call security and have the offending customer removed and isolated to insure anyone's safety. While the customer in question looked relatively inoffensive, for she seemed a woman of a certain age, her words were not. Her violent words suggested dislike of my Italian accent. She could have been armed and the situation could have escalated had I been less than civilized. Stunned by the lack of appropriate action from the employees present, I limited myself to repeat "I am horrified" and walked out of the grooming area. I spoke to your manager and obtained a reimbursement of what I paid today for your services, for which I thank you; but I confess I am still shaken. My dog seems fine and everything ended well. However, I hope you will take this letter as needed feedback, because what transpired today in your store could have been much, much worse had I been the kind of person who could have reacted less civilly than by speaking to your manager or writing this letter. read more

AVOID PETSMART. If I could give absolutely no stars I would. I walked in to buy three small fish (tiny) and they legitimately refused to sell to me. I frequent this store multiple times per week but will never step foot in here again and will be sure to tell everyone I know to avoid as well. A low level floor worker making prob $12/hr. does not need to tell me what fish I can and cannot purchase. And the boy playing manager needs to learn his function too. Your jobs are to sell me the merchandise I come in to your store to buy, not to tell me because you do not feel I should buy those that you are going to refuse to sell to me. I have never in my life had any pet store employee anywhere I've ever gone tell me I can't buy the fish that I want. They may make suggestions or recommendations but to tell me they will not sell me three tiny fish just because the girl wants me to listen to her suggestion is ridiculous. You should send your employees to shadow workers (true fish experts) at Ocean Floor so they learn the proper way to treat your customers. Note: while this store refused to sell me three tiny fish because I did not have a large enough tank in their opinion, it's ironic that the tank they had these fish in is no larger than mine AND they had more than a dozen fish in it, while my tank had 6 fish. #anypetstorebutpetsmartatthispoint read more

I love this petsmart. They are clean and the staff is always friendly. I went here with my little brother to get a hamster. The lady that helped us was very nice and seemed to know general knowledge of hamsters. She should us all the different kinds of hamsters. We probably spent 30 minutes petting hamsters trying to pick the right ones. We went with two winter whites. Then she showed us what kind of cage to get for them. We now have two healthy, happy little hamsters. I would say this store in particular cares for their animals pretty well. I have been to a other petstores nearby and they did not have the selection of pocket pets that petsmart does. read more

I really don't like this location because the employees are super unfriendly. I had one employee refuse to sell me a 39 cent goldfish UNLESS I BOUGHT A 29 GALLON TANK FROM THEM. Also their halo rescue employees don't seem to care much about the animals considering they won't let anyone in to simply play with the animals unless they are going to buy. Also most of the items are way too overpriced and can be bought at Walmart or Target for less for the same brand. read more

This is for the vet my dog was in the ER and needed breathing meds and chest x rays I have the in house pet insurance so came here to get it done the first appt they said I'm to early he hasn't ran out of meds yet even though these are breathing meds he has to be on the second time I called twice to make sure when my appt was and they told me date and time I show up and it's a week later then won't see me then tell me oh we can't give you this medication anyway we don't carry it ? Mind you I had to have loads of x rays and a cardiologist take a look at the ER to make sure this is what my pet needs then they said he doesn't need antibiotics that the vets at the er said he does my last pet died because of them a few years ago they have a unprofessional staff high turn over rate you never see the same vet and they don't communicate or know what they are doing save your pet by not coming here ! read more

I was really nervous to leave my dog at doggie daycare but had no other choice for one day. When I dropped my dog off everyone was so sweet and answered any questions I had. I was curious when I walked in to pick my dog up how the day had gone. When I provided the dog's name, the worker lit up. I heard from several employees different stories about my dog. My dog had a wonderful day, she was exhausted from playing with all her new friends and took a nap and slept through the night. Because the experience was so good, I rebooked. Every time it's been a good experience. The employees really seem to genuinely care about the animals and when I returned I saw them actually playing with the dogs. I would recommend this location! read more

Great store. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing I probably won't use again is their dog grooming service. i've used it a few times (two Shih Tzus) and I can't say I loved the cuts. They looked a bit rushed and uneven. They do have quite a volume of dogs so I'm not sure if that's a contributing factor. No problem though. I get my supplies there and a dog groomer closer who has a little more time to do a thorough cut. read more

The whole staff at this place is AWESOME!! They are very helpful and friendly. I love that they offer so many services. My puppy is doing training right now and she love this place. This is for the dog training, directed towards the trainer Jesse. If you or someone you know decides to go to training with him, don't, choose someone else. The dude literally talks about his sex life while trying to put the training into relation. He deliberately called my girlfriend basic because if a shirt she was wearing. He made my girlfriend feel extremely uncomfortable when she would attend the classes. As far as the training itself, it is simple things that one could do at their home. Half of the time what he would say to do doesn't even make sense. One example would be "one night when I slept over at my friends house who's a girl, I told her to check her puppy for ticks but she didn't so the morning after we slept together I got up and did it myself, and I found ticks" why did he have to say what he was doing that night? Why did he have to be inappropriate and mention him sleeping with a woman? I will not refer anyone to this trainer and I sure as hell hope he gets re evaluated. read more

Everyone's very friendly but the grooming continue to try and upscale on the nail grinding.. i've trimmed my dogs nails and they were shorter to start with but i'm always being told they're not long enough- that the nail grinding should be done.... $53 total later and i'm not too thrilled with the nail grinding.. besides that, they do good, but i'll go to the one on 7th st. now and keep it at the usual $23-35(with teeth brushing) instead. read more

most of the time everyone is very friendly and helpful. I find that just when I need something and they have it-my next trip in they put it on clearance and say it wasn't purchased enough. I know that it's not a good use of real estate to have "special" diet items but on the other hand they are supposed to be doing more for your pet, so I'd love it if they'd at least say they would be willing to order the items. read more
