The policy that is clearly available on the website

***This Camp Bow Wow location is NOT SAFE*** ***They DO NOT adhere to their OWN policies*** ***WHEN your dog gets injured here, they will continue to allow the aggressive dog to attend camp and the owner can't be bothered to even call*** I really hate to write this post because we've taken our dog, Lola, to this Camp Bow Wow location for quite a while. On Sunday, August 17th, another dog attacked Lola right as I was picking her up from boarding. The receptionist told me she received "just a cut on the ear" and they were cleaning it in the back, so she would be out in just a moment. When they brought Lola out, this wasn't just a cut. An inch long tear had been ripped into the side of her ear and she was dripping blood all the way to the car. I was told that Lola had gone up to the gate when another dog was being brought into the yard and that dog got scared and bit Lola. When I asked to see the video footage, they let me know that they do not give out video footage to clients, despite this not being mentioned ANYWHERE in their policies. They verbally confirmed to me that Lola was NOT the aggressor and confirmed in a text message that the other dog was not injured AT ALL. Within half an hour, we were at an emergency clinic where I then paid $1,100 to have Lola's ear stitched back together. Part of her ear was not salvageable because of the damage and had to be trimmed. Camp Bow Wow's policy states that the owner of the dog that causes damage to another pet will be held responsible for the vet bill. This policy is literally listed ON THEIR WEBSITE for everyone to see. Peyton called me to let me know she had been reviewing the footage. Now the story had changed. Apparently the other dog was already in the yard and on his back, when Lola ran up to jump on him where he got spooked and bit her. Even though these are two totally different stories, I'm STILL not allowed to view the footage for myself, so you have to just trust that they're telling the truth. When I brought up contacting the other owner about the bill, now all of a sudden they weren't sure which dog it was but they can try and call the owner and see if they will help out with the vet bill. When I picked Lola up, two girls that were working that day confirmed to me they knew which dog had done it and confirmed in a text message that the other dog hadn't been injured. Now all of a sudden the manager isn't sure which dog it was and "can try" to ask the other owner for help with the bill? If the manager watched the video and saw Lola jump on this other dog, why can she no longer be sure which dog ripped her ear in half? If someone wasn't sure if your dog was the aggressor, would YOU be willing to help pay an $1,100 vet bill? The dog that attacked Lola has not been banned from Camp Bow Wow. They continue to allow the dog that attacked her to attend camp where I no longer feel safe bringing my dog. The owner of this location can't be bothered to pick up the phone and reach out, so instead I'm getting the run around from whoever is working that day. Peyton told my husband on the 18th that the owner would be reaching out. No one has called. Peyton also told me on the 18th she would call me the next morning at the latest with an answer from the other dog's owners. Surprise - no return phone call. It's now the 20th and I have yet to hear from her. I'm assuming they don't want to deal with it and I won't be getting any sort of call back. I have asked for either a refund for the remaining daycare package days I paid for or to transfer them to another location, but of course I can't seem to get an answer about that either. I have to assume they're keeping our money and we won't get any sort of resolution to this. My dog is the one that got hurt, and instead of doing the right thing, they decided to cover their own butts and leave us high and dry. No one is wants their pup to get hurt. Is it unlikely? Yes. But it happened to my pup and the manager and owner of this location couldn't seem to care less. If it happened to their dog, I bet they would want a resolution. I understand there are always risks when coming to places like this, but this situation has been handled so poorly by management and by the owner. ***IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR DOG'S SAFETY, DO NOT COME TO THIS CAMP BOW WOW LOCATION*** Update 8/21: Within 10 minutes of posting this review before business hours on 8/20, the owner suddenly is able to call both me and my husband. Really interesting how they couldn't call us when it happened, but the minute they get a bad review, they know how to pick up the phone. I want to be clear that I NEVER would have written this post if this situation had been handled properly. The owner and manager had TWO DAYS to contact us to make sure this was taken care of. After Peyton didn't call me back like promised, the window of opportunity had closed to make this right. The reviews stay up so other people know.

The fact that the owners of this place think this could happen within an hour of us picking up our dog is laughable. 2 weeks later and his hair is barely growing back. Who knows what they do at this place. 8/19: there is no further conversation to be had. Your business has made it clear you guys are set in your procedures. At the end of the day Olaf isn't in critical condition. It is clear as day something happened at your facility based on the time stamps and whether or not it was self-inflicted, the bottom line is your employees did NOT notice his injury and give him the treatment he needed. We had just hoped as business owners you guys would've had open-minds to look into your processes and we would've been happy to continue trusting our dog in your care knowing you guys strive for improvement. Now all we will do is share Olaf's story.

    Happy Paloma!

We love this location! We came into town or a weekend and needed a place for our dog, Paloma, and the reviews here swayed us. The staff is extremely friendly and they know exactly what they're doing. They love and care for all of the dogs staying there as if they're their own. The staff is extremely attentive and they make sure the facility is safe and clean. Next time Paloma makes the trip to phx, she'll be staying here!

Beware* Our small dog 14lbs was attacked by a large dog (unknown size & we will get to that) on Wednesday January 22nd 2025 at 4:07pm we were notified by telephone that our dog was attacked at Camp Bow Wow by a large dog ‍. We jumped in the car to go get him and thankfully we had called back to see his condition because when they had called us initially nobody knew any details ‍ of the attack which is very odd. (we will get to that) Calling back on our way there we learned that the large dog the "aggressor" was left in the same play room with our small dog after the attack hiding and trembling. We had to ask them to remove our dog to somewhere safe. This should have been done immediately after the attack ‍ When we arrived they had explained to us they had looked our (small dog) over multiple times for any injuries and told us they found nothing. Minutes after we arrived i found blood and what "looked" like to be wounds immediately on his neck. They also explained when we arrived that the large dog was the "aggressor" and they knew this because on our way to pick up our dog they had looked back on the video footage (camper cams) they call them and they have these recording in every play room to the best of my knowledge. They explained after looking at the video our dog was apparently sitting in the corner alone when he was attacked by the large dog . Okay this is where things get interesting. We immediately ask to see the video footage and we're immediately denied! We also asked to speak to whomever was the supervisor/attendant for that specific play room and we're denied! You would think the videos and the camp attendants are there for your dogs safety and well being and they would give you access to any videos or information possible for the safety of the animal. At this point we had to leave immediately to get our dog treatment from a Vet professional and did not have time for their lack of transparency. Our dog was treated for Level one wound care and we were told from our Vet that our dog had received bite wounds with puncture wounds and soft tissue trauma on his neck. Camp Bow Wow is supposed to seperate small dogs under 40lbs with the larger dogs over 40lbs. Our dog "may" have been in a play room "unsupervised" and with a large dog over 40lbs ‍? Remember we were denied the video footage of the attack. We completely understand that these things may happen and do happen but when it does happen we should be able to trust our dogs are safe. Lack of transparency and & Spoliation of Evidence is not acceptable. They deny us to view the video footage that they promised us will help keep our animals safer under these circumstances. For whatever reason we were denied any real evidence of what happened it seems very unprofessional & not very genuine. Seems fishy! My dog deserves better than this Please do your homework before leaving your Fur Babies with the people you are supposed to trust them with the most... Nigel

My dog absolutely loves Camp Bow Wow North Phoenix. Not only was the staff friendly and communicative, but the counselors in the yards gave Lola so much attention, I feel very comfortable leaving her in their care.

Camp Bow Wow North Phoenix was a blast for my little pupper! I have to travel occasionally for work and I take my dog. I was visiting clients all day and needed a spot for my dog to relax and have fun! I highly recommend this doggy day care for your furry friends!

Just moved to the area and love that I found Camp Bow Wow! My doggie Neva comes home tired from a day of play. The staff is caring and friendly and love their doggies!

Benji had the time of his life at camp. The staff surprised me with these cute baseball cards that they personally made. This was the cutest idea. Every time I pick up Benji, he doesn't want to leave because he has the best time. I know I can always trust the staff leaving my baby with them. They treat him as if he was their own. I will always recommend this location to my friends and family.

It was scary for us, but we called Mindy and she was so polite and let me ask all the questions I needed! She brought us over to do an evaluation and see how our dogs get along with her Lab and a couple other dogs staying there. Mindy and her husband do such an amazing job at sending us updates with pictures and communicating in a timely manner. It's also nice to know that groups are more intimate so I know my dogs as well as the other dogs staying with them get all the affection and attention they can get! We took him a few times for daycare before we left and he loved it. They were very attentive and he got to play with other dogs and still got his scratches and pets. He wasn't all that excited to leave. We will continue to bring him for daycare so he can see his new doggie and human friends. Enzo boarding experience was just as great as daycare. They continually send pictures and let us know how he was doing but we could see from his face he was having a grand time. We are so relieved to have a place to leave our precious little boy knowing that he is safe, happy and very well taken care of!!! Thank you House of Mutts!!!

I was referred to this business by a local Boston Terrier Facebook group. Their reviews were…read morestellar, so I reached out to them. I needed to board my pup while I went on vacation and passed their initial free assessment and complementary play date, filed his health records with them etc. A week later I dropped him off for his week of boarding. When I arrived home I quickly dropped off my luggage and immediately went to pick him up. Once I arrived, excited to see my little dude they brought him out. He was not himself. Not excited, and lethargic. I figured he was just tired from his week of playing with other pups. As soon as I put him in my car he fell asleep, and once home he did the same thing, which for a 6-month-old Boston Terrier is unheard of. The following day was the same, I chalked it up as he must have had a great time playing and was still exhausted. The next day he was extremely ill, coughing, diarrhea and weak so I rushed him to the Vet. Their diagnosis was an upper respiratory infection a fever and Kennel cough. My pup is completely vaccinated and was perfectly healthy when dropped off. I understand things happen, but this was infuriating to me. When I picked him up I was curious why he was just handed to me and shuffled me out the door, now I understand why. That same attitude was received when I called to inform them of his condition. The young lady just said "I'll tell the owner and hung up" and that was it. I wanted to like this place, but on top of their boarding fees, I now have medical bills due to their facility and lack of action when he was clearly sick while there, due to an illness he contracted while there, and hopefully, he recovers soon. The photo attached is him once loaded in the car after picking him up. Clearly not a 6 mo old Boston excited to see me after a week away. I am beside myself, and angry to say the least.
