Unfortunately, I've been really disappointed with how my dog has been treated here. They regularly keep him separated from the other dogs because they say he is "too hyper." He is a high-energy, playful dog, but we've taken him to other daycares without any issues and have always been told that his energy level is completely manageable. I understand that every daycare has different policies and that staff need to keep all of the dogs safe, but it's upsetting to pay for daycare and find out that my dog is spending his time separated rather than being allowed to play and socialize. If they don't feel they can accommodate an energetic dog, I wish that had been communicated to us upfront instead of continuing to accept him for daycare. Overall, I just don't feel like my dog is welcomed or treated kindly here, and that's not how I want to feel when leaving him somewhere that I'm trusting to care for him. We'll be taking him elsewhere going forward. I would recommend looking into other options. I highly recommend Pet Play House or Second Home Pet Resort. read more

I waited two years to write this review, but I think other dog owners should know about my experience before trusting this company with their pets. My dog was involved in a serious incident with another dog while in their care. I was told by 24/7 Dogs that the incident was not my dog's fault, but despite my repeated concerns, they would not allow me to see the video of what actually happened. That was a huge problem for me. If something happens to my dog while he is in your care--especially something serious enough to involve another dog--I believe I should be able to understand exactly what happened. Instead, I was expected to accept their explanation while being denied access to the footage that could have shown me for myself. When I pushed the issue and spoke publicly about my concerns, the response wasn't greater transparency. I was served with a cease-and-desist letter from an attorney. Two years later, that is still what bothers me most about the experience. Dogs can't tell us what happened to them. We depend on the people caring for them to be transparent when something goes wrong. I'm sharing my personal experience so other owners can make their own decision. If you're considering leaving your dog here, I would ask very specifically what happens if your dog is involved in an incident, whether you will be allowed to see available video, and how the company handles owners who question what happened. Based on my experience, I would never trust my dogs to this company again. read more

Skyler was wonderfully friendly, warm and engaging. I felt confident my pups were in great hands and was comfortable leaving them for their 4 hour eval. It was very clear I was speaking with a genuine dog lover! Both immediately fell asleep on the ride home so seems safe to say they played their hearts out. I wish there were windows to see the facility and playrooms; will keep my eyes open for an opportunity to tour. read more

Decided to give this place one more try....my puppy came back with burned paws. Manager never contacted us apologizing. Now stuck with vet bills and an injured pup. Although staff is nice, it's hard to believe they cared about my dog while she was there. I love this place. so convenient when I'm visiting Phoenix. they take care of my baby Louie. he's not stuck in a cage he's played with and socializes with the dogs. best of all I can pick him up anytime I have dinner with friends and can grab him after. I will leave this for paradise dog too as I go to both. total peace of mind when I want to goof, shop or meet friends. read more

My dog Lemon has been going here for about a year and a half. Some weeks she's there almost every day and other just a couple times a week. The staff clearly adores working with dogs. She is always excited to go. Usually I see at least one photo per day of her on their Instagram-- with all her buddies. I wholeheartedly recommend this daycare. They do a nice job grooming her as well -- her coat does not required trims, just lots and lots of brushing. read more

We took our terrier mix rescue, Pennington to the Phx location for 7 months, we only stopped because we relocated to TX! The staff is AMAZING!!! Our little guy was previously abused & very timid at first, he warmed up quickly to the staff! He is a ladies man, Hannah, Brittney , Hannah & Madison were his favorites! I always felt so comfortable leaving him in their care. We boarded him on nice for a getaway & he did great! They are so caring, compassionate, kind & love our boy as much as we do! We highly recommend PHOENIX DOGS 24/7!!! We had a tough time saying goodbye.... Try them, you will be glad you did! They deserve 10 STARS!!! read more

Man, seeing some extensive and unhappy reviews for this place. They seem to be about grooming. This will not be the case. I've been bringing my girl Evelyn here for daycare for a week and a half and she FLIPS HER SHIT to get into this place! I feel zero guilt about dropping her off. Actually, I feel guilty picking her up. They are open 24/7 so I can drop off at 4am when I need to and a "full day" consists of 12 hours. I am usually just a bit late picking her up (not that I'm trying to be), but they're cool with it as long as you're not taking advantage of it. A "half day" is 6 hours at this location. It's apparently 4 hour at the others. I do wish there were cameras but if Evelyn is that excited to go into this place I'm not worried. They do post photos and videos on Instagram often though so you may see your pup there. Finally, across the board everyone is SO nice, complimentary, and have yet to judge me on my poor parenting skills (Evelyn jumps and pulls still). I leave knowing Evelyn is in good hands :) read more

Don't take your dog here, unless you're cold-hearted and sadistic and want your pets to come home injured. Our small, senior dog suffered multiple injuries while she was boarded at Phoenix Dogs 24/7 from December 6-17, 2022. Her injuries included visible cuts on both sides of her mid-section surrounded by spots of missing fur, a large, hard mass on the side of her body, multiple areas of very dark bruises on her chest and belly, as well as a big, hard scab near the base of her tail and some more areas of missing fur around the scab. Our vet advised that the hard mass on her side was "indicative of hematoma"... a solid swelling of clotted blood within the tissues. In addition, the vet observed "Numerous superficial punctures/lacerations on trunk" and stated that "Pet has evidence of trauma, most consistent with dog bite or similar." The vet surmised that the injury to Mocha's tail would have likely bled considerably. So, for no one at Phoenix Dogs 24/7 to have noticed such an injury is absolutely mind-boggling. We have reached out numerous times to Phoenix Dogs 24/7 since then to find out how our little elderly dog could have acquired so many injuries in the span of just 10 days. We have repeatedly requested a virtual online meeting at their convenience to discuss and to better understand how this could have happened. It's been exhausting to try and get any answers or even a simple explanation. They don't really seem to care all that much that our dog was injured. Phoenix Dogs 24/7's mission statement touts that they "Provide a Safe, Loving, and stimulating environment for our 4-legged clients." We feel let down and saddened that Mocha was injured and traumatized during her stay at Phoenix Dogs 24/7. We are really disappointed that Mocha was not in a safe environment and came home with numerous injuries. Don't take your dog here, EVER. read more

If there's any review that you read, please let it be this one. It is not worth the risk to bring your pets here. I am a former vet tech and now an MBAc and senior strategic leader at a nationwide pet care company. When something goes wrong, we make it right, because pets are people's family. Dogs 24/7, on the other hand, has NO IDEA what they're doing. They have no process for investigating pet illnesses (they didn't even know what an ROI was to request my vet records, and had no idea what their business insurance is for), they frequently send pets home sick (according to several former employees), and will ghost you if you have a problem with how they treated your pet. When I picked up my dog after a 2 night, last-minute stay over the New Year's holiday (or else I would have just used the company at which I work), the girl at the desk commented on how tired my dog had been acting that day. I didn't think anything of it because it's an cage-free facility and she was probably getting some exercise. Little did I know, that lethargy was from a severe gastrointestinal allergic reaction that began while my dog was in Dogs 24/7's care. She continued to decline throughout the night, vomiting and becoming pale. I took her to an emergency vet, who confirmed that my dog had gotten into something and had an allergic reaction and she finally came home after a 24-hour stay and a $1,300 vet bill. Dogs 24/7 will not take any responsibility for this, and as I mentioned above, they clearly have NO processes in place for when a dog is injured or becomes ill under their care. All I got was the runaround from several extremely unprofessional "managers" whose goal is clearly to make you feel stupid. I even got an email at one point that said that they would only speak to my lawyer-- I didn't even mention legal action at that point, and I STILL haven't (admission of guilt?). All I expect is for my dog to be healthy when I pick her up from a boarding facility and for the facility to make it right when they could have killed my dog. STAY AWAY. read more

This place saved my sanity! We recently moved from out of town and on the night of arrival, my girls were supposed to board at another facility for a couple nights while we settled in and unpacked. We arrived into Phoenix after the other place closed and missed our chance to check in. I found Phoenix Dogs 24/7 and called them up. Brittany was so amazingly helpful and immediately put my mind at ease that it would be okay to check the pups in around 11pm. HUGE relief after a 6 hour road trip. When I checked in, she did a temperament test and made sure my girls were comfortable with the environment (their first experience with cage free boarding). I picked my pups up two days later. And let me tell ya... they're TUCKERED OUT! Always a sign of a good boarding stay. HUGE shoutout and thank you to Brittany and the staff for taking amazing care of Jasmine and Yzma. When it was Villa La Paws, owned by Jane, AMAZING!! We brought our dogs here for over ten years to get groomed. We tried for two weeks in a row to bring our dog in just for a nail clipping!! Both times we got there they had some lame excuse as to why they were unable to accommodate us. And this last time, the girl even looked me in the eye and tried to tell me she called me and told me her Dremel was broken. First of all she didn't call me. Second of all they only have one Dremel?? Btw, as soon as you walk in, it smells like urine. Take a pass, find a way better place!! read more

Don't even know how to begin...suffice it to say if don't care that your freshly groomed dog(s) comes out looking like it got groomed with a machete this is the place for you. I was a repeat customer until now..my two dogs had been nicely groomed by Lorenzo (given specific instructions on my mini golden doodle) and all was good. I was disappointed to find that Lorenzo was no longer there, in steps Andrew. OK Andrew...here are the instructions for my doodle...understand..yes. OMG! I picked up my two dogs (mini golden doodle and sheltie) paid a handsome price for both PLUS a 20% tip, my fault for not thoroughly examining the dogs when I picked up..but hey repeat customer, specific instructions given...should be good right? WRONG! I immediately noticed that my doodle was quite shorter than the requested "trim" ...OK I guess it will grow but not what I asked for ANDREW! Well to my horror once I had them home...further examination of the doodle AND the Sheltie but more prevalent on the doodle....I noticed he was unevenly cut...chucks of hair were longer and shorter in length...seriously he looked like he was a shelter dog that got into a dog fight and had his fur chewed off. This prompted me to look at my Sheltie a bit closer and same thing, she had hair unevenly cut under her belly and paws. My concern for Andrew is that he needs assistance with both his eyes and ears...can't see his work and can't hear instructions properly. SO FRUSTRATING paid good money to have my dogs groomed to look better NOT worse. My 10 year old got home from school and said "what happened to Henry?"A 10 yr old gets it looks bad....Henry hangs his head in shame, even Henry gets it.... BUT that's not the worst of it....oh no there's more frustration coming. I call the business and request to speak to a manager to voice my complaint. OH this is when it gets silly and completely lacking in customer service. I'm told there is a 48 hour notice period for fixes offered by the groomer (ANDREW) and well it's been over 48 hours but he'll do it as a courtesy - ummm thanks but no thanks, not giving you a 2nd chance at my dog. As many times as I've been there this has NEVER been communicated but I guess I'm suppose to have telepathic powers and know this. I ask for another groomer perhaps? NOPE he's it! Uhhhh NO THANKS!!! I request a refund then- I'm not a happy or satisfied customer. "Nope we don't offer refunds (due to the delay of being notified over 48 hours), what we will do is offer you a credit for your next visit. Let us know when you would like to schedule that next visit." There, that's the company's offer to make it right. WOW!!!!!!! OH and by the way there's no "corporate office" this is as high as the escalation the complaint will reach...Savanna, Manager in CHARGE! Sorry but everyone HAS A BOSS...including you Savanna! There's an OWNER somewhere. The fact that you're refusing to furnish the information is wrong! I try to support local businesses as much as possible because it's the right thing to do as community member but this business's lack of compassion and customer service will not be rewarded by me as a return client. We've been taking our lab there since he was a few months old. Last time I dropped off my dog here to get groomed they forgot to call me and he was there for 5 hours. Clean dog but poor communication.

Absolutely awful. I dropped off a completely healthy dog and they brought me out a limping dog. Not a single phone call to let me know he was hurt. After three vet bills totaling 1050$ and antibiotics 180$ out of pocket and they won't reimburse me. Also had to use 12 hours of my vacation time to accommodate his vet schedule. They said they couldn't "prove it happened there" even though my dog was completely healthy prior to his stay. I don't specialize in animal medicine but i am an ICU nurse and i know for a fact he he did not sustain injuries prior to his arrival to Phoenix dogs 24/7. DO NOT BOARD HERE if you're worried about any injury that could happen to your pet. I will post this every single day to remind everyone because of the way they handled this situation. I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. read more

This place is great for the dogs because they all get to interact with each other. They checked out our dogs before they let them stay to make sure they had good social skills. They passed the test and have been staying there for vacations ever since. The place is not cheap but they don't seem to mind. In fact when I am getting their food and treats ready they get all excited because they know they are going to Villa La Paws. You can save some money if you buy their 10 packs. They used to give the dogs a report card which included their behavior and friends they made. Kind of miss that. They will give your dog a bath for an extra fee and also cut their nails too so your precious little mutts will be nice and clean. They also have doggie day care for just the day. This is good for socialization specially if you only have a only dog. The employees actually seem to like dogs and enjoy working with dogs! Probably more fun than working with people! You can also check out what's going on on their website if you have wifi available. I told my friend about this place and he and his wife were so happy with this place she made me food and she is an excellent cook! read more

Pardise Dogs 24/7 - Getting picked up - Pet Groomers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Whoa, watch out when you visit this chop shop! We took our dogs in on Friday. About an hour after we dropped them off they called to see if we should reschedule because we didn't drop them off yet. That's scary. We picked them up five hours later and after arriving home we noticed that one of them had a cut above the eye. We called Villa and spoke to the groomer who said that we should go to the vet. The (third party) veterinarian confirmed the cut was from clippers and found three other burns from irritation. The vet took photos and documented everything. Upon returning to Villa, we were told there was no need to take her to the vet, even though it was recommended by them. Despite there not being a "need" to take her, they wanted copies of everything, to which we agreed. Today, we received a phone call from Chris, who was acting on behalf of the Owner. Chris had his back peddling shoes on and was quick to change things around. Within 24 hours, Villa's story became -"You shouldn't shave dogs, it's harmful." Oh, reallly? Petsmart does ok. -"Your dog's injury happened after she left." Is that saying we hurt our dogs intentionally? -"Your dog's injury didn't happen here so it's not our problem." Great warranty, guys. -"Our groomers will ALWAYS show you if they made a mistake." Chris elaborated that 100% of the time they will be quick to show you their errors..yeah, I'm sure. There's no point in going back. We didn't ask for a refund of the haircuts, just compensation for the vet bill..you know..the one we already paid for? Theres nothing in it for us, but to not have to spend $300 (Vet bill + haircuts) for a poorly done haircut. It's worth noting that the company also posts a few awards on their site such as an AZCentral readers choice award from '08. A little googling shows they're not even in the top 10. Talk about ethics. Stay away. Even if they learn how to cut dogs right, you'll have to pray that you don't have a customer service issue. ****UPDATE**** Well, after a year of battling Villa La Paws' owner through the Better Business Bureau, they finally made an offer to cover the vet bill for my dog after they cut her. They repeatedly insulted me in the process and threatened me with legal action. Ultimately, I declined the offer because it required that I remove my online reviews which is deceiving to the Yelp community. I wish any future customer luck when they visit here! You'll need it. read more

Would give 1 star if I could. Just from 1 month of using their services there has been ears that have been chewed off and tails!!!! How does that happen I have now been at Dogtopia for 4 months and there hasn't been 1 issue. It's not the dogs it's the workers and the manager Elliot. Each of the dog rooms (the littles, and the big) have rusty nails poking out of the walls. I reported it multiple times and it still has yet to be fixed. Quite a few dog fights and with the teenagers working there they are not equipped to deal with it. I also have notified on multiple occasions the workers closing the doors on my dogs head and other dogs heads along with the dogs yelping in pain. I noticed a heavy set girl does it the most. The management is awful as well Elliot is the supposed "manager" but he looks to have just turned 18! No idea of management and no help whatsoever with any issues. Honestly just do not leave your fur babies here. I cherish my dogs and other animals and I expect good care to watch them but at this location you can't expect anything less than terrible service. If you don't want your dogs coming home wounded or traumatized do not take your dogs here. Compared to Dogtopia or any other boarding company they are garbage. They charge higher for less service. Looks like an abandoned warehouse with paint on it on the inside. Just a note as well there is zero training for the new hires. So they are doing their best but with no training and no support from the management how can they be expected to take care of our dogs in the correct way? Please do not trust this company with your family/dogs read more

This review is for the dog training only. Our dog is generally pretty good. Doesn't jump up on us, doesn't bark, can handle being off leash at a park when there's one or two other dogs around. Sit? She's got that about 80% of the time. Lay down comes immediately after that, whether we tell her to or not. Her previous owners taught her well enough, but this is where Villa la Paws comes in handy. We opted for a 6 week Adult Basic Obedience Group Class to fine tune our pup. Our instructor (shoot, I seriously can't believe I forgot her name. Long black hair often in a ponytail, big smile... hopefully it'll come back to me) [EDIT!! Her name is Celeste Richardson!] based her teaching on making the dog WANT to do what we want them to do. It was all very treat based and not at all about telling the dog "no", over correcting, or using choke collars. She was really patient and made us feel at ease when Tatum was just not feeling like putting her paws up on the step stool. "Keep practicing and she'll get it!" And get it, she did. After each class, the instructor would email us a reminder on what we learned in class with a youtube video of her with her dogs showing us. This was INCREDIBLY helpful because my memory is not so good for a girl my age. The classes were amazing for Tatum! When you go, make sure to bring super high value small treats (we used turkey hot dogs, but I think we should have done cut up pieces of chicken) so your dog is ultra attentive when surrounded by the other dogs. At home, we used normal treats, cut in half or sometimes smaller. The practicing also really helped her grow fonder of me, which felt really good. I do want to mention that there was a dog in our class that started out pretty crazy (barking all the time, pulling from the owner, barking AT other dogs in the class, not focusing at all). The instructor was starting to think he should be taught separately, but by the end of the series, he was a new dog! He sat, stayed, focused, and kept his barking to a minimum. Seriously impressive! read more

So glad to have found Villa La Paws My Luke loves it here I can barely say goodbye to him before he runs to the gate to go spend some quality time with his friends. He has done both an overnight stay as well as doggie day care. I love the fact that I can hop onto the webcams and check on him to see how he's doing... Sometimes it's hard to see him in Waterworld but that's ok because they have a great misting system which is part of the issue. When I went in to the appointment on my way to work they informed me they did not have a groomer it would not have until the following week. I was on my way to work and did not have time to take my dog home so had her stay for just a bath. We boarded our dog the weekend of the 4th of July at this location because the location we normally go to on Bell closed. When we picked her up I noticed her back paw was bleeding and asked the staff what happened. Staff had no idea my dog had been injured and had no explanation for what happened. Once we took a closer look, my dog's back toenail had been ripped almost completely off. The toenails on her other paws are red, inflamed and bleeding. Here we are sitting at the emergency vet on 4th of July waiting to get her treated before an infection sets in. Still waiting to hear back from the manager, but our dog will NEVER return to this place. She seems traumatized because she is not get normal happy, playful self. No offense to the big box dog stores where they offer training inside a 50x50 box near isle 5, but I don't want to learn from someone who has a Sally Struthers online training certificate. I need to trust and believe that the person who is teaching me knows her stuff, and Wendi is amazing. So patient, kind and smart, if she cannot help you with a dog issue, you are SOL. Next, the groomers at VLP are tremendous. They are sweet and really respect and care about the dogs they care for. It's pretty cool to see people who both enjoy what they are doing, AND have pride in their work. VLP has a very popular boarding program. Unlike other providers, VLP has cage free boarding. Many dogs dislike being confined in a crate, and at VLP, your dog is evaluated and put with like minded dogs. VLP is housed in a former school, and there are different converted classrooms for various types of dogs. If your dog is an old Bassett, they will be put with similar dogs, so rather than fight for their lives everyday while you're on vaca, they can relax and enjoy themselves too. Another cool thing is that every inch of VLP has cameras, and you can log into the net and see your dogs, 24/7. How cool is that? To recap, you cannot go wrong at VLP. Unless you're a cat, then you won't like it. Otherwise, if you love your four legged family member as much as me, you will be really happy with this gem. read more
