We brought our 3 year old rescue here for board and training after experiencing unsettling behaviors at home. We interviewed several other trainers before choosing Andrew, and are so grateful for his expertise. We received a comprehensive training for Luna and us. He dialed in to our specific needs and many concerns His dedication and love for dogs is apparent. He helped us understand why she was behaving certain ways and trained us how to help her. Now my dog is calmer and follows commands. His training is relevant and effective. We received follow up calls and home visits for training support. If you are looking for a top notch trainer-dedicated and professional- then these are your people. We are impressed and ever so grateful!!!

Andrew and his team are great.. We did a board and train with our 2 1/2 year old Golden, Woody .. who needed to be reminded of his manners... we feel completely comfortable with them that we are going to board him there when we go on vacation.. The follow up sessions have helped us be the best parents.. Thank you so much for your help.. Highly recommend....

Our boys "staying" in public?! How can this be??
    Shaina C.

Ten minutes into our first training session after they had our boys for a week I looked at my husband and said "we should have done this a long time ago." The thought of taking our big dogs into public places triggered my anxiety (followed by wine drinking... so not ALL bad I guess lol). For some context, we have one Pit/Boxer and a Ridgeback mix who were mild nightmares on walks, (especially if there were other dogs!), complete nightmares in public places, pretty well behaved at home, the ridgeback has anxiety with new people so bringing people into the house was an issue, but they had gotten into a few fights and the last one that ended up in a midnight urgent care was the final straw. They're older boys, 8 and 7, so for us progress and improvement was what we were looking for. Not perfection from the second they came back from training. You know the saying. :) Well it turns out these old dogs like learning new tricks... or at least they tolerate it! A few days after the 4 week training completed I took our biggest problem child to Home Depot and I got stopped at least 5 times by people telling me what an amazingly "good boy" I had there. It sounds stupid, but I got misty. We are excited for the weather to break for hikes, patio coffee, and to live our lives with them in tow. There are some situations that Andrew and his team can not replicate, like the territorial behavior and the fights. But, people coming into our house is something that we have the tools for now. We now have dogs who we can communicate with and we need to make those events more of a consistent, normal thing and PRACTICE it, like anything we learn to do well in life. So it isn't perfect, which would be impossible to expect. If you're looking for magic you won't find that anywhere. We and our boys have to work to ensure the changes progress, become more consistent, and eventually second nature. I'm excited to see how much further they can go with just with how far they've come. Thank you Andrew and your team for absolutely everything!

Our two, 2 year old Labrador Retrievers, recently completed the 2 week basic obedience course. They had typical dog misbehaviors, including but not really limited to rushing to greet people, crowding us in the kitchen, barking incessantly, general annoyance type stuff :/ They returned to us with such a huge improvement that we are absolute fans of this place. Lauren worked with us afterwards, coming to the house to oversee our handling and has been texting to check in as well as answer any questions we have. As others have said, I only wish we'd done this much earlier. Obedient dogs are such a pleasure for us and our friends who visit. I highly recommend Destination Dog Training

Lily in her "place" position, relaxing!

We got Lily (American Bulldog) from the Maricopa shelter in October and was given minimal information regarding her background. Around December we began noticing more anxious and aggressive towards my family and strangers. We received Andrew's number from another trainer who felt he could help us best. I am so grateful we got in touch with Destination dog training! Lily stayed with them for 4 weeks and is a whole new dog! We learned how to help her relax and have consistency in the home. My kids have gotten involved in the training and we have a calm, obedient dog now! Andrew is responsive in phone calls and emails, thorough with his explanations and so knowledgable!! You will not regret reaching out to Andrew at Destination Dog Training!!!

For dog sitting, in our home, we've used Michelle several times now and she is great. Our 3 dogs love her and she clearly loves them too. We have 2 Great Danes and Beagle/Boston Terrier mix who are getting up there in age. Our male Great Dane has a number of health issues and Michelle handles it all so well. There's a laundry list of medications for the dogs and she does a great job keeping up with it all. She doesn't mind when I'm that helicopter dog mom and I check too often on my sick boy. Regardless of his illness, Michelle sends many pictures and text updates on how things are going with all the dogs. As a very protective momma, I trust Michelle completely with my furbabies and home. We love having Michelle take care of our babies... so much so that when we were planning the August trip we just completed, she wasn't available on our original dates, so we moved our trip to make sure she was available. I appreciate the freedom Kristie and Michelle offer us to get away several times a year. I completely trust them. Give them a shot!

My puppy screamed in pain and the "trainer" started yelling at me to "get out!" and as I carried my screaming puppy out he mockingly shouted to all the other owners "She's just a drama queen!" My puppy would not bear weight on the injured foot. X-rays showed there were no broken bones, so the veterinarian bandaged her leg and we waited a week until the bandage was removed to find out if she needed an MRI to assess ligament injury. Fortunately when her bandage was removed she was no longer lame so no ligament injury. We had an almost $500 veterinary bill from her injury at the Zoom Room and the owner/manager never contacted us. The "trainer" said he would refund our $25 puppy play group fee and did not.

The facility itself is so clean and organized. We were impressed with how clean the place smelled. Most places involving dogs, there is always a faint or not-so-faint smell of dog, but with zoom room, you never could tell dogs were in there when it came to smell. Also a bonus is their amazing selection of dog treats and toys! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We met Colin, the owner and trainer, for orientation and he was awesome at explaining everything from training to their philosophy to what is expected of dog owners and what we need to do to see results with our puppy. With our schedule, we have been mostly in training classes with Ray (sorry, if I misspelled that!) and she is amazing! Gatsby loves her and so do we! We and Gatsby are always learning something new with each class that we never would've picked up from online or trying to train by ourselves. The trainers are very passionate about dog training and it definitely shows in classes. The best and most important part about Zoom Room, that we love the most, is their philosophy on only using positive training techniques and avoiding negative ones at all cost. We highly recommend this place if you're looking for a clean, safe facility with friendly and kind staff, and passionate trainers for your pup!

I could not figure out why nothing was working. A colleagusuggested that I try a dog trainer named Bob Solomini that he had used in the past. His passion and confidence in Bob convinced me and even though I was very skeptical and worn out I decided to give it one last try. I am excited to tell you about my invaluable experience and what I learned from it: -my dog was only a small part of the problem, but the majority of the behavioral problems stemmed from me. Dogs aren't born knowing how to behave the way humans would like them to, so we as responsible dog owners need to teach them. -we don't automatically realize what we are doing wrong and unless a true professional who really cares can teach us the correct way we can't be sure that we will ultimately have a happy relationship with our pet. -after four years of pulling my hair out and stressful walks with my dog I wound up moving to a new neighborhood, and my dog was totally out of control when I walked him. When he saw people with dogs, he went crazy and I could not stop him from barking and pulling. In fact, he pulled me down a couple of times where I sprained my ankle and another time where I hurt my knee. In fact, most of my neighbors walked the other way when they saw us and complained about my dog's bad behavior. After the first lesson, I immediately knew that I had found something different. Humane, focused,, professional, and results driven. I am so lucky that I found all American K-9 and especially Bob Solomini. I love walking my dog now, and all of my neighbors have praised the incredible transformation that they see. This was literally a life-changing experience for my dog and for me. I am so thankful that I found somebody that really knows what they're doing and really cares -not only is Bob a great person, but also the Best dog trainer that I have ever met. He came highly recommended by a close friend but was not the first trainer I contacted! Not only did he come to my home and listen REALLY listen to what I was experiencing with my young pitbull puppy, he seemed genuinely interested in learning my specific needs. Many of the trainers I interviewed seemed to have a very "blanket method" approach; some weren't even interested in meeting my dog first which I thought was odd. A lot of our sessions were just discussing issues or challenges and then addressing those on the spot. He taught my dog the basics and me, how to continue training those things. But he also was very caring towards my dog and always customized our time together based on what I was needing out of it. He also took the time to explain the "why" in a lot of what he taught me so it wasn't just a command but rather "here's why this is important to learn" I wish I could afford more work with Mariano; he's hands down the best! We have boarded once too but that was hard on ME so have not been back for those services yet! Lol. Keegan is a happy mostly well behaved 2 year old now and if we ever can use the training again-this is the only place we'd go!!
