For dog sitting, in our home, we've used Michelle several times now and she is great. Our 3 dogs love her and she clearly loves them too. We have 2 Great Danes and Beagle/Boston Terrier mix who are getting up there in age. Our male Great Dane has a number of health issues and Michelle handles it all so well. There's a laundry list of medications for the dogs and she does a great job keeping up with it all. She doesn't mind when I'm that helicopter dog mom and I check too often on my sick boy. She's a sweet girl who's transitioned wonderfully from a quiet rescue (at 9 months) to a fun, playful, obedient (well, mostly), and happy best friend. We set up four training sessions with Mike M. and had such a good and productive time that we did four more, and Murphy-Lou is doing great! She's mastered all the basics (i.e., sit, come, down, heel, off, place, etc.) and she no longer just ignores me when interested in something else, but turns to me glaring, "I am a Coonhound, you oaf, just one moment, there is a leaf here and I must give it appropriate consideration", and when finished she'll walk over and sit next to my foot. Unfortunately I trusted the Zoom Room website that their trainers would ensure a safe environment…read more My 11.4 pound puppy attended a puppy playgroup and less than 10 minutes into the session was stepped on by a very large Great Dane puppy. My puppy screamed in pain and the "trainer" started yelling at me to "get out!" and as I carried my screaming puppy out he mockingly shouted to all the other owners "She's just a drama queen!" My puppy would not bear weight on the injured foot. X-rays showed there were no broken bones, so the veterinarian bandaged her leg and we waited a week until the bandage was removed to find out if she needed an MRI to assess ligament injury. Fortunately when her bandage was removed she was no longer lame so no ligament injury. We had an almost $500 veterinary bill from her injury at the Zoom Room and the owner/manager never contacted us. The "trainer" said he would refund our $25 puppy play group fee and did not.

We and Gatsby are always learning something new with each class that we never would've picked up from online or trying to train by ourselves. These two babies were rescue dogs that apparently had been raised together but had very little social skills. When I first went to Kim about my dogs, it was because one of my dogs nearly killed the other. Kim's response was, "soon enough they'll be happy together." I didn't believe her. I thought I was going to end up the victim of a dog mauling. I didn't have much hope. She taught me how to gain control through absolute follow through and correction timing. Today, their struggles are a distant memory. They get along great! Since training together with my dogs in the sport of K9 nose works, we've gained a connection I didn't think was possible. I now feel like my dogs speak English because I can read their body language. I worship my dogs and they worship me, and it's due to having fun with them.
