We dropped off both our dogs, a German shepherd and Doberman. Paid $5,000 for each dog. They were to teach Shepherd to stop barking and teach the Doberman to socialize with other dogs. Our dogs spent 4 weeks-plus at this facility. Neither dog had improved at all. The shepherd has since pasted away and barked until she died. The Doberman to this day wants to attack every dog he sees. There teaching involved an E-Collar which the Doberman came home with bald spots on his neck where he had been shocked so much. The owner of the company came to our house one time to help access the situation (we lived more than 2 hours aways), she could not understand why the dog behaved differently at home. It is no surprise that people all over the United States (from east to west coast) have their puppies trained here. Not only that, but picking up my puppy was a treat as we got to practice some skills with police officers that were having their PD pups trained as well. Kristi and Wesley in particular will make you feel like you have hit the jackpot on dog trainers! I had originally sent my dog to K-9 games when it had Kristi and we loved it... My dog had some regression and needed a new session that was a part of the lifetime package and the new K-9 owners said for another fee she could fix it. We went along with it, bad decision.. This not only increased the regression but caused more fear and then we were told that they were no longer going to train. Thankfully Kristi and Wes stepped up and took Dexter under their wing! They came in when we had lost hope and helped us. While Dexter is a very difficult case, Kristi and Wes agreed thy wouldn't give up on him, even when he had to be rehomed to be in an only dog home. I had a very bad experience with this company. Once I found out that they use shock collars I was very hesitant about using them. Kristi came over to my house and showed me how they use them and reassured me that they do not use the shock mode on the collar. I was still very hesitant about moving forward but she assured me that she would work with me so that I could feel better about the process. I did pay her the $4,000.00 to enroll my Golden Retriever into their 5 week boot camp. Kristi took my dog with her that Friday evening. The very next Monday I was wanting to check to see how my dog was doing and texted Kristi to see if I could visit. She said yes, but I couldn't arrive till 5pm. I arrived at 5pm, very excited to see my dog, with my grand daughter. They escorted us to the visiting area on the side of their house. When Daisy arrived, she didn't seem to recognize us and didn't even greet my granddaughter. Instead she went to the other side of the visiting area. It almost seemed like she was drugged or scared, I am not sure. I left that day really not feeling good about this process. The next morning I texted again to visit, but this time Kristi denied my request. With the denial, I immediately texted back and said I was cancelling the training and I was picking up my dog at 5pm. I was able to get my Dog with no problems. However, I believe that I should get a partial (pro rated) refund because Daisy was only in their care for 4 days. She refused to give me any refund and didn't even give me the collar I purchased for $275.00 (I believe) that is correct. I am seeking to get a remedy in small claims court. I hope you have a better experience than I did. I am not saying that her or her company did anything wrong. All I am saying is that for me, the change in Daisy was very dramatic for such a short period of time. I felt very uncomfortable. In my opinion, good customer service would have provided a partial refund. read more

I cannot recommend Dog Trainer US (specifically Wesley) enough!! I have a 9 month old Australian Shepard, who began showing signs of fear and reactivity to strangers. I was worried she would become aggressive, and was anxious to find a trainer to help me. Wesley came to my house the day I reached out and did a full assessment on Cosmo to fully understand and see her behavioral issues first hand and answer every question I had. Wesley was so kind, encouraging and knowledgeable that I knew I wanted to work with him right away. Within 24 hours of our first training session, I felt like I had a new dog. Cosmo had her same sweet personality, but understood what I was asking of her 100000x better than ever before. In just a few lessons with Wesley, I can proudly and comfortably bring Cosmo into nearly any situation, from restaurants to work to busy streets, which I could not at all do before due to her reactivity. Wesley was so patient with all of our questions, so attentive to Cosmo's behavioral cues, and really encouraging of our progress. I was so stressed out about Cosmo's behavior before working with Dog Trainer US, and now I am overwhelmingly excited about her and our future. I can't wait to join the group classes! I had a healthy 2 month old puppy when she went to be trained as an Emotional Support dog at Dog Trainer US. My puppy was returned to me 3 1/2 months later with the worst case of Giardia, an intestinal parasite, my veterinarian had ever seen. A few minutes after her arrival to me, and her forever home, she had explosive, bloody diarrhea. The delivery trainer mentioned, after her explosion that, "They noticed she had a couple of loose stools earlier that day." However, almost every time I visited my puppy at the trainers she had diarrhea. I was told it was just her developing digestive system. I am so very deeply mad at myself for blindly trusting that answer. Two months and thousands of dollars later, she tested negative for Giardia, but too much damage had already been done by the parasites when she was so young. I kept our yard and house bleach clean, our other dog and our cat did not get infected. Giardia is highly contagious. However, my puppy died at 10 months old because she had 3 loops in her intestines, a condition caused by parasites, which blocked her food, among other things. The emergency veterinarians did everything they could including major surgery to repair her intestines. She barely survived this surgery. She needed another aggressive surgery that had a 50% chance of survival. If she did survive, her quality of life would not have been a quality life. I've reached out to Dog Trainer US to discuss this directly, one phone call and text were returned, my last messages were not. I sincerely do not want another person to lose their puppy this way. Be careful when choosing a trainer. read more
