We're pretty avid PetSmart shoppers and after many years in Glendale we live in Tucson now and get our girls groomed there often. The groomers are like family and they love them almost as much as we do. Then we go into the 91st location in Peoria after many years, with my mother-in-law as we were visiting. She has a veritable zoo the the family house and shops and windowshops the Peoria Petsmart all the time. She went to get some fish as she does often and was excited to take advantage of the well and multi posted sale. Once she had her fish and the one that was supposed to be free they said the sale was expired and started taking the signs down around her. She thought of course they would honor a posted sign for such a small savings for a loyal customer but nope, they made her feel wrong and uncomfortable as they charged her the regular price. She will be shopping elsewhere. Not great, indicative of whats happens to customer service lately. read more

We go to this location often as it's the closest Petsmart to our house and usually it's a very pleasant experience. However, this time it was not. We found a set of bowls with a mat that sticks to the floor on clearance for $5.97, originally 19.99. I looked at the tags and saw that it was only the pink version that was on sale, which was fine with us. After bringing it up to the front, it rang up $32.99. I let the employee know that it rang up incorrectly and they proceeded to try and call for help to check it. After calling for help for what felt like close to 20 times we finally walked back there together with the cashier. I showed him the stack of five other sets that were in the exact spot as the sticker, which he then compared the UPC's. The numbers did not match and he surmised that another employee must've stocked it incorrectly. We went back up to the front to pay for the rest of my goods while he called for a manager to check the issue and ask if they would price match. The manager finally went over there after another few minutes and came to the same conclusion that it had been stocked incorrectly. I asked if they would honor the price and they quickly said no. That was that, no compromise no percentage off the original price, just no. I paid for the rest of my things and obviously didn't purchase the bowls. The cashier gave me my receipt, gave a quick apology before turning away to start helping the line of people that was now building because nobody wanted to come up and help. Word of advice don't trust the clearance signs and just know that if they mess up, they will not make it right. read more

I paid for PAWdicure PLUS $26 per dog (2 dogs) Which is supposed to be Nail trim & grind, light feet trim & pad shaving, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, cologne spritz & more (bandana). But each time I bring the dogs in they forget the bandana, do a terrible job on ear cleaning, and often forget to do the teeth. Not the different between plus and regular is the ear cleaning and teeth brushing. I shouldn't have to remind them about the bandanna or bring them home and redo their ears and teeth. But it seems like each time I do. This time i actually asked for cotton balls so i could clean out the ears at the store... they should have said let us redo ghe ears... but no they didnt. I rewiped the ears at the store and got home and used (photo) qtips to wipe the outer (not inner ear) there were more qtips but this is unacceptable. The nails on one of the dogs was not done short enough. How can they get away with not doing their job?! Im disabled and on a fixed income so picking up the dogs is difficult, working with the dogs is difficult for me. And paying for a service that is not done properly is just stealing. Unfortunately, I tip when I drop the dogs off because you can't add it to the bill when paying Also, I've asked about the tipping policy and I was told by the groomers... it's so that they don't have to pay taxes on the tip income. So Petsmart, yeah I brought my dog here for veterinary care. I would say it's 50-50. You really have to vibe with the vet that you get assigned to. It's OK if you don't like that Vet to ask for a different one Lord only knows I did twice until I finally found the one that I liked, but the services are great. The prices are reasonable and I would definitely suggest this prepaid medical vet care for my dog for anyone and their dog it's a great program. read more

This isn't the first time I've experienced this at a PetSmart location and if I wasn't in a hurry I would have checked before leaving. The discount tags all over the store don't reflect when ringing up. I intentionally picked out a certain number of things because of the buy 3 get the 4th at whatever discount it was. This location isn't my usual and isn't close to home but was in the area of where I was today. I called to see if they could look up my receipt in their system and adjust the price and charge to my card and was told they could only do something if I came all the way back into the store and wouldn't do it over the phone. I used to work retail long ago before all kinds of fancy POS systems and back then we were able to look up a transaction and make an adjustment. Not great customer care when your system doesn't ring up correctly and the customer is charged too much and ALSO has to go out of their way to fix a problem on the stores end. Just be mindful when being rung up to make sure everything is registering the price it should and discounts are being applied. read more

The store was great. Never been to this location before. I was needing dog food. Ours has been out of our food for a month so that is why I came here. They let me know they are phasing it out. I will have to have it shipped from now on. They had the cutest chameleon ever! He saw me and ran up to the window reaching for me. I talked to a gentleman and asked if he was starving. He had just fed him. He has thw cutest personality and just doesn't want to be in the cage. He might be taking him home with him he is so special. We took our dog to get her PAWdicure at this PetSmart today. There was one dog ahead of her so killed time by walking around and buying a few things. The wait was almost 30 minutes and my husband had to remind them that she was still waiting. Once they realized they took her back immediately. My husband wanted to go back with her to get her settled since she gets nervous at times but they said it was against the rules. Regardless the 2 girls were great in handling our fur baby and got her nails perfect and there were no issues. She was happy and smiling the whole time. The services are cheap as the PAWdicure is only $20 I think is what we paid. Either way it's worth it to pay and get her taken care of. We will be back soon for another spa day! ;) read more

I have had it with this petsmart. First my aunt brings her pup to their doggy hotel (which isn't cheap) for 7 days while on vacation, they left her dog in the kennel for 6 whole days. Only allowed out to go to the bathroom, she was advise of this by a worker they were told "she must remain locked up the whole time", when she picked her up. Then we had an appointment for our 8 month old TOY POODLE which we had to schedule 3 weeks out because they are always booked, we got a call an hour before her appointment saying they had to cancel because they were behind and wouldn't have time to do it. We tried speaking to the general manager Gage who is a total and complete jerk. There was nothing they would do, so rescheduled for the next available which was 2 weeks away. We got there and again had to reschedule I was so pissed do they got us in for today at 10:30 at almost 1:00 we get a call and I'm assuming it's to come get her because she is finished. NOPE it was to come get her but that's because they were just getting ready to start her (2.5 after her appointment time) and they claim she growled at they and tried to bite them. Which is a total crock, she is an 8 months 4 pound TOY POODLE who we have had since she was 6 weeks old. She has been to other groomers and has never been that way. She is the most loving pup around. So I told my boyfriend while on the phone them the accusations and she she starts yelling at me through the phone that she isn't a liar, that she isn't putting her safety at risk, that we need to come get our "Damn dog" and that's she is so sacred for her safety that when we get there we have to go into the back and get her out of the kennel. My boyfriend gets there again general manager Gage comes over and goes into the back to get her and the lady told my Boyfriend to follow, Gage turns around and yells at him to stay there because no one is allowed in the back. The girl said how are you going to get the dog without he and he told her "he has this". He comes out with her on a leash just wrapped around her neck, he legs were stiff because she was scared and he was literally dragging her by the leash tied around her neck. I will say this ass hole Gage I'd luck my cool calm and collected boyfriend went to pick her up and not me because shit would have hit the fan. I will never in a million years take my baby back to petsmart. They are all the same. One before I called because I had heard they cut dogs while grooming and when I questioned it the lady said "well yup it happens. We would call you AFTER we take her to the vet and make sure she is ok." No that's not happening. If you take your loved one to petsmart because you think it's a good place, it's only a matter of time before something horrible happens. My baby has been home for 2.5 hours and she is just starting to be able to relaxing, she was so upset and shaking for a while. Now so clingy and won't let me put her down. read more

They missed patches of fur in his coat trim, he didn't smell like he had been bathed and they advised he was too "squirmy" to trim his front nails. I took my two dogs in to get their nails trimmed. I wasn't allowed to be in the salon while they were being trimmed. I was instructed to pay my bill and they would let me know when the girls were ready. Afterwards they were terrified to let me touch their feet. It was a week before they would let me go near them. I took them to a new salon yesterday and they were terrified when they realized the woman was going to touch their feet. Luckily she was gentle. The moment I walked in, Ruben was very welcoming from the register, huge smile, and genuinely seemed happy to see me in store. I went in today, short on time. I noticed the line was super long and only one cashier. Looked around for another associate since I'm short on time and the like was very long at least 8-10 customers ahead of me, found one associate; asked her if there was only one cashier and she said yes, and that she was doing an online pick up order. I went looking for someone else, meanwhile line was the same, had not moved. Walked into the grooming salon since it was closer to the registers and asked if they could call a manager because there was only one cashier, they kinda laughed it off and one young lady said they were very short staffed but never even once called the manager. Was waiting in line forever and those 15-20mins I was in like no manager or any other associate ever came to open another register. Got my dog groomed for the first time. Mainly wanted it done for the sanitary cleaning and shave. When I got her home I noticed they didn't touch the hair on her stomach and private part. The sanitary procedure didn't happen so pretty disappointed because that's the whole reason I went now I have to pay to get it done again. I rescued my dog from the pound where she spent the first 5 months of her life until I got her. She is a little scared of some noises and hates the kennel. Her appointment was at 1230 then they called and said they were behind to come in at 230. I did I waited 4 hours until they called that they were done, I could hear my girl barking in the background. When I picked her up the girl which I didn't see when I dropped her off pissed me off by saying god she wouldn't shut up we were all saying man will she just shut up already. That was the last straw for me. Total attitude change from when I dropped her off. I'll pay the extra $20 and take her to the vet groomer so I know she safe and actually get done what I'm paying for. They also had the bandana so tight around her neck tied in a knot that I couldn't get out so I had to cut it off her. Also not to mention a grumpy ass older lady yelling at me to get my dog to stop barking,I looked at her and said EXCUSE ME she says I'm sorry, I'm sick....I don't care if you're that sick then stay home.
