I went into PetSmart during Covid-19 because I adopted an American bulldog, as first time dog owners my wife and I didn't know where to start. We thought shopping online would be safer so we did and our order was never confirmed so we went in to discuss the issue. Craig the store manager took care of us and the online order issue. Not only are the staff really friendly but they genuinely care for your animals. They knew exactly what we needed and took care of our dog Kane. Grooming salon So this is our 1st at the GROOMING SALON. And I must say my baby girl Niya Was taken very good care of. Really made me feel good to know that I could bring my dogs here to get groomed and especially being that it's my baby girls birthday tomorrow. Mrs.Peggy made us feel very comfortable. I'm not sure but I think there's a young man they are being trained and as I observed she was very patient with him and was good at explaining how to interact with the dogs that were coming in. This review is not for the groomer. Destiny gets 5 stars as a groomer. The 1 star is for Petsmart and the scam they're putting on their customers. I scheduled a full groom for my dog online for a specific time 4pm when I called to confirm they told me that my dog wouldn't be seen until 6pm because other people paid an express fee of $15 to bump my pet into being there longer. This is an absolute dishonest way to treat your customers. If I schedule a 4pm appointment I want my pet to be seen at 4 not 6 because someone else was willing to pay an extra $15 that's rediculous. I also wonder how many people pay the extra $15 not knowing that no other pets are scheduled for that time and petsmart just keeps the money without telling them that there was no need for paying the extra fee. Change your evil ways petsmart I see a lawsuit in your future. read more

I had to get food for my dog Chico. Ordered it online and picked it up curbside. I love these guys. Thank you for staying open and thank you for your curbside service. Awesome people! But I have grief with the store operator(s) the owners and the decision makers. Why are you not protecting your workers? Why are you allowing people get in and out the way you do? The answer is simple: everyone should order online , and the workers can deliver curbside. No customer should go inside the store. Last night antelope valley sent emergency order to stay inside until 4/19. Was I the only one who received this emergency order? Made an appointment for bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, and anal glands to be expressed. While making the appointment over the phone, I was informed that they do not express anal glands only clean them. When I entered the salon for my appointment I spoke to the lady at the counter who stated they kind of express the anal gland but mostly just clean the anal glands. She said they don't want to hurt the animal but if I wanted to get the anal glands expressed of all fluids I should take my dog to a vet. Either they express the glands or they don't. Kind of misleading on their website. The other issue was I was still going to give my dog a bath and have her nails trimmed, but when I asked how much, she increased the price 5.00 because it was the weekend. I had made an appointment online for 22.00. The ironic thing is there are two signs on a black board as you enter the salon advertising the same service for 22.00 "today only". I took a picture but was unable to load it to this website. They have lost a long time customer for misleading the consumer in believing their dog is getting their anal glands expressed when all they are doing is cleaning it. In addition for being over charged 5.00 because it is the weekend. Even though they had signs posted on that day that read "Today Only" in front of the salon. I wasn't going to argue with her, just never going back, too bad. read more

I generally have great experiences at this location. I had to pick up a lot of random things for different pets and had an order to pick up. The shooting in Santa Clarita had just happened, and the cashier was too busy talking about his 2nd amendment rights than to ring me up. The previous customer stayed, I even ran to my car to grab a return I forgot, and they were still talking. Kids are dying and I just want to pick up food for my kitten and praying mantis. I had to ask multiple times to be rung up and by the time he stop ignoring me I had already lost my patience. I don't give a rats arse about your right to carry a gun- you work at PetSmart, it a customer is waiting there you shouldn't keep ranting about your freedom. How many kids died? Ever since I moved out to Palmdale two years ago I've been going to PetSmart on East 47th street. First out of convenience because it's 2 minutes from my house, but quickly it became my number one preference because of how amazing the associates and managers are at this location. They are always polite and friendly. Always willing to answer questions and help find what I'm looking for. Always efficient at the register with hardly any long lines even when the store is very crowded. Unfortunately I don't know any names to give specific shout-outs and praise but I know all their faces and they all deserve praise. I've never had one bad experience at this store location. And no matter how busy it may be sometimes with customer waiting to check out they never make you feel like they're rushing you out. They're quick and efficient but still make the extra effort to engage in conversation by asking about your day etc.... They flow so smoothly like a well-oiled machine. read more

I was given a puppy who I named Honey last week. I was not prepared now that her arrival was not anticipated. Clueless I decided to go to petsmart to purchase puppy essentials and Sharon approached me for assistance. She was extremely helpful on getting just what I needed for my puppy. To make it better she was so knowledgeable, she gave me tips on puppys nutrition, care, and even potty training. After I left the store I felt more comfortable taking care of the new puppy. I set up an appointment for my adorable Chiweenie dog to get groomed, not because I am personally incapable of grooming him, which I do often at home- but because I'm not willing to trim all the "areas" that need trimming. So the grooming cost $20, and they spent about 2 hours on him, which is about $10/hr. Not bad. The girls at the grooming section were super friendly and helpful. They offered recommendations for which grooming service would be appropriate for his needs without trying to upsell us. One star just for that. Our groom included a wash, dry, clean eyes and ears, "hygiene trim" (manscaping), expressing of glands (please Youtube what this is if you want to lose your dinner), and a great brushing. They complete the look with a little bandanna for boys and a bow for girls. Adorbs. My pup entered kind of nervous, but the grooming girls were giving him lots of love and trying to make him calm down. I felt like he was in good hands with people who actually loved dogs. They gave us a service call when he was done, and he came out happy, not scared or whimpering like he had been tortured. He looked awesome- his fur was clean, smelled great, and was extra soft and fluffy. He had a little bandanna, I'm such a sucker, and his manscaping looked awesome. No more peepee dribbles on his "hairs". Maybe TMI, but if you're a dog owner, you know what I'm saying... They didn't groom his area awkwardly either, the groom lines are clean and subtle. I will definitely be returning here after a few home sessions so they can "tidy him up" in all the ways I won't. ;) read more

I was very skeptical about taking my puppy to Petsmart for a groom because of previous experience with petsmart/petco grooming with other pets. I scheduled my 12-week-old pup for a puppy trim with Lauren. She was so nice and super sweet to my Mookie and he seemed to love her as well. We took our "8" week old puppy here for potty training classes. The female that taught the class "Lesly" was AMAZING and extremely patient and sweet. But as we left too check out and purchase our items; the manager was working the register and was really rude and kinda snappy with Lesly and us (THE CUSTOMERS) but Lesly handle herself very well. I go to this store often and never had a problem till I went to buy a fish that my daughter wanted.. And they slap a not for sale sign on the tank telling me they are holding it for an employee I was pretty upset to say the least but to top it off I go back 4 days later the fish is still there with the not for sale sign becouse apparently the employee did not have a tank yet ...wtf still won't sell it , I made a formal complaint with corporate and hope petsmart will make it right.. Customers should have first dibs on the products becouse we are the ones keeping the store open for business and if an employee wants to buy a fish then take it home and don't use the store as your personal holding tank, now my daughter has an empty tank becouse she sold all her fish to buy this one ..and now it's on hold for an employee , bad business and this is not the first time I have seen them empty a tank and put fish in there for employees only ***update, the manager called me back and told me when the new shipment of fish would be in so I was there to get first pick and she also gave me 50 percent off on my new fish witch happened to be a very pretty blue fancy goldfish so overall the way the situation unfolded still sucked but I was happy that the manager at least tried to make it right..
