At a year and a half he was a handful to work with on my own. Despite having significant experience with dog training, I learned just as much as my dog did during his time at Smart Dog Training School. They are extraordinarily dedicated not just to training your dog, but to their health and happiness. Steve's dedication to each and every dog and owner is blatant. I went from an uncontrollable dog to an attentive obedient one, and after boarding training was complete Steve came and helped me establish ground rules at my home to get me and my dog off on the right foot as we transitioned him to training with me. I felt like I was set up for success, and he answered every question I had and encouraged me along the way. I cannot recommend this place enough. They won't just train your dog, but they train you! And I learned even more about dog psychology and my specific dog's psychology and how to handle him so that we can continue to bond through training and beyond.

Our dog was only 2 and a half years old. We are going to MAKE SURE everyone and the police knows about this and we plan to figure out how exactly he died at the veterinarian. When she arrived to pick up my BC she brought a mob of dogs with her -- we have space, and they just ran everywhere. Woody has a magic touch with dogs, genuinely cares about his work, and is incredibly well-versed in several methods of dog training. Before working with Woody, my husband and I hadn't slept in days and our arms and feet were completely bitten. After our sessions, we couldn't be happier with the results. We shopped around for trainers quite a bit, and one of the reasons we went with Woody is that he asked about our lifestyle and expectations for our puppy. He was responsive, asked questions, and gave us a plan to implement right away. We believe in positive reinforcement rather than "tough love" (which can be difficult to do with a GSD) and Woody listened to each one of our concerns and addressed them. Not only does Woody have dog ESP, but he also provides a structure and routine for training sessions. It's very clear he knows what he's doing. Seriously, if you're looking for a trainer, look no further. You will see the difference in your pup right after your first training.
