Been coming here for a little over a year. I've had no complaints. Staff is great. Nicole over at the grooming department is amazing.

Just adopted a dog and came here to drop a hundred bucks on all the essentials. The store was very clean and well stocked, and the associates were super helpful. The cashier even instructed me to the back of the store where they had coupons and saved me quite a few bucks. I even stayed for a couple minutes asking random dog questions and chatting it up with the cashier, great customer service. read more

The horrible, unconscienably unqualified groomer (Paige) at petsmart shaved my 18 year old blind and deaf dog George down against my specific instructions not to. He's been wrapped in a blanket for 24 hours because he's freezing and traumatized. In addition to irritating his ears to the point where they are horribly red and painful to the touch, (and still not getting them clean) she kept him locked, wet in a cage for hours and took a lunch break in between. All in all he was tormented for nearly seven hours. I set up an appointment for cat grooming with Paige. She was very helpful and patient with my questions - I had brought my cat there before but I had given him a bath myself recently and his hair matted :-(. I took him in first thing and Harvey and John did a great job with Jake and the grooming. Always a clean store with really friendly employees. There is always someone with a trained pet making their rounds. I have only used the grooming station once, but the prices were fair. I had one of my dogs enrolled in their puppy school and that was great! learned a lot and they really try to help with the dogs development. They have a lot of pets to choose from from fish to gerbils and everything in between. They also host Halfway to Home for adoption of rescues! amazing. They have everything i would need as a mother of 4 pups. read more

My wife has a saying for this place when I walked in this morning.."You could shoot a cannon through here and not hit anybody" I was looking at the fish for a while and decided on 2 of them. I went looking for someone to get them for me and there was nobody around, nobody at the registers, I walked all the way to the back of the store before I found a worker stocking shelves to ask. He called for someone in that department and as I walked back the fish guy showed up at his work station. This is what really got me..instead of walking over to me he says from across the floor "did you want something?" I said "I've picked out a couple of fish", he says from over there "which ones?" I said why don't you come over here so I can show you?" He seemed, disgruntled but he came over. This is not the first time I go in there around 2-2:30 pm and they're noticably busy I see and they give me every excuse on earth to turn me away.basically I wanted to get a basic bath and haircut for my long hair gsd before placing her in a foster home for a few days because she was in heat and I didn't want accidental breeding with my intact male. They first told me they can't cut her hair because it won't grow back or something stupid like that than that she might be aggressive or whatever or cause problems if there are other males there that are in tact.... I should've recorded it but I'm not that kind of person and I normally don't look for trouble anywhere. I just wanna post this so whoever's hiring these people should know that they don't care about the actual business and they're just there to do their time and get the hell out of there. Ive been going here for about a year now and its been ok but with their new policy comes horrible customer service. They're express"new policy" for small breeds is bullsh***. I dropped off my puppy and they said it would be about an hour. I went to a Dr appt and it took an hour and 20. I got back to petsmart and they said they called 3 times I apologized that I forgot to update my new phone number and then she continued to state that they would stop seeing my puppy if I did it again next time. Seriously??? You would rather me NOT bring in my puppy for a grooming than hold him for an extra 20 minutes for me to get over there?? I highly doubt everyone with a small breed will be waiting anxiously in the parking lot for you guys to finish the grooming process. The grooming attendant was very rude and I will not be coming back or buying my dogs food from here anymore. read more

Majority of the workers here are clueless about everything. I have gone 3 times for different items to each time I've been told they don't have or don't carry. First time I went to get my dog a dog tag. I asked for assistance on how to work the machine to engrave my pets name and their respond was " just read the instructions", it was a customer who previously engraved their dog name tag who helped me and they too said they asked for help and was told the same thing. Second time, I went to get medicine or ear drops for ear mites. I asked them if they had any and they said no, they don't care hat kind of medicine that's something you have to get through a vet. I decided to go see for myself and long behold there was ear mites drops. When I went to the cash register I told the lady and all she said was oh. Today I went to get some meds and shampoo for my dog to cure or better help with my dog yeast infection. Once again I asked them to guide me to the section where they had these products and the first girl told me she would call someone who can better help me. Once the 2nd lady came, she too knew nothing. She took me to the shampoo aisle he said they had nothing for yeast infection with tree oil in it. I again looked on my own and found the shampoo and then I asked about any vitamins or tablets or ear wipes with witch hazel and they said no, the DONT carry that with those products on it and I would have to go to a vet for that I said thank you and they let me be and I decided to once again do my own search to which I found what I needed including wipes with witch hazel. Every time I go I just feel like I'm on my own, doing my own research online for things and trying to find them in the store. I go here cause it's the closest to my home, but I just know now that I'm on my own when I go there for help or advise. read more

Bought a cat toy for almost seven dollars as soon as my kitten began to play with it the head popped off the mouse shaped toy three stars for cheap products even being allowed to be sold in a place specialized for pets but three stars because the employees are lovely once an employee helped me carry a heavy bag of cat litter to my car read more

This review is solely for Isabelle K, our groomer at the east Palmdale PetSmart!!!!! She is absolutely wonderful. Our dogs are always excited to come to the salon to see her. She does a wonderful job with both our chihuahua and our lab/Great Dane. She's very sweet and kind when we talk to her. We always recommend her to our friends and family! I have to say I've had good experiences in the past but I had to share this last experience. I've been bringing my dogs here since we moved here every month. We depend on the grooming department to do a great job to avoid fleas and ticks on our fur babe! We booked a appointment on a Sunday at 3:30pm , I got a call saying that our dog was in great shape and that they recommend the oatmeal shampoo vs the flea and tick shampoo we normally get. I said ok no problem, once we picked her up we took her home and really thought nothing. During the week I was out playing with our baby and observed a Tick on her neck area. I started to be more thorough at checking and found more inside her ears, under her collar area, and arm pits. We called to complained to the manager and they informed us that they would give her another bath with flea and tick shampoo. They also told us they can only remove 6 ticks maximum according to their rules. Now you tell me if that is good service? Ticks crawl on pets that have a dirty coat like lice on humans. If you keep good hygiene or in this case a clean coat you won't have a infested pet with ticks right? Maybe one here and their on occasion... We always get her groomed, and use natural collar deturants to help keep them off. Now I'm dealing with an infested fur baby because of the poor job they did the first time. Again my baby has been seen here for the past 10 months no problem. We never had a issue when Bree our last groomer worked on her at this place. Now I'm looking for a new place to take her. A place that can own a problem and find a way to pacify it instead of looking for excuses. A placed that won't say "Well maybe it's your yard"... My yard is clean, and my home is clean! I've never felt so unsatisfied with service as I feel about this place now. read more

I love this place for my dogs, they have positive groomers and my dogs alway come out nice and clean.

The staff was nice enough but they gave my dog razor burn and an ear infection. When I took him to the vet we had to pay over $80 to get a shot for the infection and inflammation from both his ear and the razor burn. Once we came back to ask our money back they tried to lie and say he had the ear infection beforehand and they told us when we picked him up. They didn't say a word and we take very good care of our dog, he never had any problems with his ears before this. The store manager Donna was trying to blame us and convince us it wasn't razor burn when our vet explicitly said it was. She said she would make an "inquiry" and call us back but I guarantee noting will happen and we'll have spent over $60 on a terrible experience on top of an $88 vet bill to correct it. Do not trust these people to take care of your dog. Take them to ACTUAL professionals, not people who won't admit they made a mistake and take care of it. Worst customer service I've ever had and I promise I will never bring my dog back or buy from them again. If you want your dog happy and healthy, avoid this place at all costs. read more
