Honestly daycamp is such an amazing option they offer. It's been so helpful with our pup and the staff loves him so much. They have themed days and always send us photos they do that day. Great way to keep him busy during the day when we're at work.

FISH REVIEW ONLY We have a small 15 gallon fish tank in our house and we never buy fish from Petsmart, we buy from a mom and pop place in Anaheim. But last December our plecostomus (algae eater) died so I went to this Petsmart to buy a new one. In January I found a snail in my tank. I thought that was freakin bizarre, I have had tanks my ENTIRE life and never had a random snail pop up. I sent a pic to my friend and she told me they are very invasive and I needed to get rid of it. Googling showed me this was a Malaysian Trumpet Snail. I took it out. Then I saw another one. Then another one. I started to see two or three at a time. I kept removing them. Then they died off, I wouldn't see them at all, or just see one or two. No big deal. Lately I have seen more than usual, just remove and move on. Today we deep cleaned the tank and we agitated the rocks. Within an hour there were over 30 snails on the glass. I removed them. Then an hour later, about 30 more. This went on all day. I took all the decor out and soaked them in scalding hot water to kill any eggs. I had 6 more snails in my sink when I took it all out! Overall, today I removed at least 90 snails from my tank that must have been living in the rocks at the bottom. I am 100% convinced these snails came from the pleco I bought here. I had not added anything new to my tank in over 6 months. Added the pleco and now my tank is infested with snails that are breeding. We switch out the water about every 3 months, but only deep clean two - three times a year. Today was the first time we did a deep cleaning this year, last time was right before we bought the pleco, so Petsmart pleco is the culprit. There was nothing visible in the bag I came home with, so maybe there was a baby snail attached to it or there were eggs in the bag. I will never buy another fish from Petsmart again.

On pet grooming, it's the best deal. The staff are kind and friendly with their customers and animals

Between pads was not trimmed, on two paws and done poorly on the other two.

I've been taking Tika here for a while, she used to be groomed by Gretchen, who was wonderful, but not available. Today when I went to pick her up, she was still very wet. Her nails were trimmed inadequately, (left very long) and the fur between her pads was not trimmed at all on 2 paws, and poorly trimmed on the other two. I found out that it was the first day, for the groomer she was placed with. When I dropped her off I had discussed the nail trim as being important. Tika is a professionally trained, and very responsive, medical-alert service dog. I asked to speak with the grooming manager to no avail. (My concerns about the state of her nails and the wetness of her fur were not even reviewed by the trainee's supervisor) THE DOG WAS DRIPPING WET ON HER CHEST. I paid for the services at the front register and asked to speak with the store manager since the grooming manager was not there to be spoken with. After greeting the man who came forward, I said, "I think people should be informed when it's the groomer's first day..(he interrupted me here) to say, "It was just a bath" to which I said, "I don't care if".... To which he interrupted me again, as he dramatically "flamed-out" and turned on his heel saying "Well if you don't care, we're done" he literally put his back to me and walked away, as I said, "What do you mean we're done?" He said, YOU said you don't care. "WE ARE DONE!" without turning around he walked away. I'm pretty sure the grooming department is having some issues with staffing, but it should never be taken out on the customer, or the dog...it's not a good look. I would love for the Regional Manager to review the surveillance footage of this encounter. It was Sunday, September 10th at about 11:50 am at store #2493.

I was skeptical about getting my dog groomed here but Elly did an amazing job! You can tell she cares about her work and animals! I highly recommend her as a groomer and will be back!

    Amazing grooming by Gretchen!

Hands down, best ever grooming my dog has received. Not only was Gretchen super sweet and great with my dog, she gave her the absolute cutest hair cut she has ever had! Most places I have been to in the area would shave my dog down completely and the haircut would look incredibly choppy and bad. On top of that, they charged me $70+ and added extra charges for things I did not ask for. This is my first time coming to Petsmart grooming, and I will definitely be bringing my dog back to Gretchen every time, she just gets it!

The facility itself is very well equipped, with more than 100 rooms. They also have separate isolation rooms in case a dog gets sick, which helps prevent illnesses from spreading to other dogs. I thought that was a huge plus. All new dogs are required to provide vaccination records, and they also do about a 20-minute temperament assessment before joining. Based on each dog's personality, they arrange suitable playgroups instead of just mixing all the dogs together. The staff are also very professional and attentive. They keep daily records of each dog's eating habits and bathroom activity, which really gives owners extra peace of mind. Overall, it feels like a very responsible and well-organized place for dogs.

My 54 lb Jindo does not do well with strangers, she is all bark but no bite. I was very anxious bringing her to any dog care but Wendy was willing to do an assessment prior to their stay. This was my very first time doing any sort of dog care so I was really worried about leaving them. They did really well and my other dog had so much fun (he's a social butterfly). The main reason I chose this place vs all the other dog boarding is because they offer a "home" living experience rather than a facility/warehouse. My dogs always freely roams the house and lays on our bed, couch, wherever they please so I wanted something similar and Wendy's house provided that. I couldn't bare the thought of them being kept in a narrow sleeping quarter locked throughout the day. Thank you for taking great care of my babies! This place will definitely be my go-to for any future dog boarding.

August 11th The Day We Lost Louie…read more Our six-year-old French Bulldog, Louie, died from heatstroke just two and a half hours into what we were told would be a four-hour trial day at this daycare. We were told the purpose of the trial was simply to see whether Louie could get along with other dogs. We were never told that he would be taken to a dog park or participate in strenuous outdoor activity. We chose this daycare because the owner told us she owns a French Bulldog herself, and because the daycare had very good reviews. We trusted that our French Bulldog would be understood and properly cared for. What happened that day is something we will never forget. 9:00 AM -- We dropped Louie off for his four-hour trial. 9:30 AM -- Just 30 minutes later, Louie was taken to a dog park for outdoor activity without our knowledge. We had never been told that he would be taken off the daycare premises or to a dog park. The temperature that day ranged from approximately 77°F to 85°F. 10:18 AM -- According to the daycare, Louie vomited after the activity. We were not informed when it happened. 11:30 AM -- More than an hour after he vomited, we received a photo of his vomit. At the same time, we were communicating about payment and completing a reservation for his future stay. We were given no indication that Louie was experiencing a potentially life-threatening emergency. 11:45 AM -- We received a phone call telling us that Louie was not breathing. 12:00 PM -- Louie was pronounced dead from heatstroke. Our dog went into the daycare alive and healthy at 9:00 AM. By noon, he was dead. What is especially devastating is what we learned afterward. We were told that they had never seen Louie breathing so heavily before. We were also told that they had tried giving him water, but he was vomiting. For a French Bulldog, excessive panting, vomiting, and difficulty breathing in hot conditions can be serious warning signs of overheating and heatstroke. French Bulldogs are particularly vulnerable to heat because of their shortened airways and difficulty cooling themselves efficiently through panting. Yet during the critical period when Louie was apparently struggling, we received no immediate warning and no update about his condition. The owner was also not present at the daycare at the time. We later learned that she had a doctor's appointment, which contributed to a delay in communication. While the adults were dealing with schedules, appointments, and communication, Louie was suffering--and we knew nothing. This was supposed to be a simple four-hour trial to see whether Louie could socialize with other dogs. We never agreed to have him taken to a dog park in temperatures reaching 85°F. We never imagined that he would be subjected to strenuous outdoor activity in hot weather. We are devastated that Louie was placed in this situation while in someone else's care. We trusted this daycare because we believed they understood French Bulldogs. That trust was shattered in the worst possible way. Louie was in their care. We trusted them to keep him safe. We expected him to come home. He never did. Louie was not just a dog. He was part of our family, and we will never get him back.

We brought him in at 13 weeks to the EveryPup Program, where he is in a clean and disinfected facility with other safe and healthy pups and he gets training every day by Dave. Almost from day 1 we started noticing huge changes, and he matured so rapidly it's like we have a different dog! He is very calm, polite and attentive, and has been able to self-regulate so well. Dave is always available for our questions and follow ups, and he sends over progress notes and photos every day from training sessions. We also would ask him about problem behavior such as counter surfing or jumping up on people to greet, and Dave would target those specific behaviors as well. We also appreciated how fast and quickly they acted on our puppy swallowing something he shouldn't have, and immediately gave him some hydrogen peroxide to get him to throw it up, which saved us from extremely expensive and likely traumatic vet visits and possible surgery. Very grateful! Every day we pick up our puppy he is so happy from a day of playing and getting love from all the staff, and is tired and ready for some cuddles and naps when he gets home. Chelsea recently passed away at 17, almost 18. She had such a long, happy life because of the care she received here. Chelsea was my baby, and I know how hard it can be to find a good vet. Pets can't talk, but you can see when they are genuinely cared for--and Chelsea got the best care at OC Veterinary. From the receptionists to the doctors, she was loved by everyone, and I am so grateful for that. Chelsea saw both Dr. Horn and, mostly, Dr. Nikki--both are exceptional veterinarians. We saw Dr. Nikki the most, and we had a very special connection with her. After Chelsea passed, Dr. Nikki even reached out to check on us, which was incredibly kind. She is practical, compassionate, and everything you could want in a vet. Chelsea also saw the groomer, Heather, who was very gentle and careful with her. Chelsea had back issues and was an older little lady, so it was comforting to know she was in safe hands. Sandra and Steve also made a big impact on Chelsea's life, especially Steve. They cared for her like she was their own family. Steve even called to check on us after Chelsea passed, which meant so much. I'm sorry this review comes so late, but I feel Chelsea would have wanted me to write it, and I want to honor her memory. No one enjoys visiting the doctor, but I am so grateful that we found such a wonderful facility to care for Chelsea. I loved her with all my heart, and after our family, OC Veterinary loved her most.
