Best pet store in town! The staff is the absolute sweetest. They're so kind and helpful. I think we have practically everything they have recommended! My little Luna loves the gals there. So happy to have you so close to us! So far we are getting our monthly food here and all of her treats + broth , just amazing options all around! Legit. I've had this shop bookmarked for a pretty long while. It's quite out of the way for me, but finally had a chance to stop by today. Located in the same center as Ralphs and CVS, there's ample parking! Walking straight in, you'll be faced with the cashier area. Going left will be the toys/supplies (leashes, collars, bells, etc.), and further down is cat treats/food. Going right will be dog treats/food. They honestly had every main brand that you'd want to feed your pet. For my pup, I was happy to see food from Fromm, Orijen, Taste of the Wild, Stella and Chewy's, Nulo, etc.; treats from huge variety of upper-label brands, and toys from Kong, West Paw, etc. They do have a raw bar available (e.g., thoroughly dried treats with no other additives), and essentials (poop bags, first aid kit, dental bones, fur wipes, etc.). They do have a freezer/refrigerator section, as well. Overall, anything that you could really need you can get here. I didn't get a great look at prices, but it wasn't too outrageous for the items that I did get. I also had asked a few questions, and the employee was able to help me out with it. 10/10 for their customer service. Would be happy to visit if I'm in the area. For the space there is a good variety of options. It's a small family owned shop so if you shop here that's one nice plus. Staff was ok. I love this store! I've been getting my pet needs here for about 8 years now. Every single employee I've encountered is super friendly and has gone above and beyond to be helpful! I have a bad back and they always help load the giant bag of dog food I buy. I don't even have to ask, they offer to. I'm sad that they will no longer be carrying Naked dog food tho. Management here is awful! They don't care about customers or people in general. Any attempts to talk to a higher up manager or supervisor was denied. They only care to take your money. And how dare the manager yell at my 2 year old daughter for noticing and reading letters on their sign. The point of a sign is for it to be read. Prices here are competitive with other pet stores and the selection is typically better for our furbabies than some of the other stuff out there. Looking for a homeopathic remedy? CBD oil? Goats milk? They've got it here. The staff here is very knowledgeable and will take the time to also help and educate you on how to understand what your pet is eating and how it is affecting them. Have an ailment you want to treat? Ask them! They actually know more than we think. They were helpful in recommending a diet for our dog with renal kidney failure. I'll be back! read more

Love it! This pet store just opened down the street from my house. It's a small store that carries mostly food, but also has a selection of treats, toys, collars, shampoos, etc... We have been feeding our dogs Merrick brand food for a couple years, so we were happy to see they carried it here. Even better, it was over $5 cheaper than Petco! The employee helping us said they price match, so if you bring in an ad that something they carry is cheaper elsewhere, they will price match. Checkout was fast and friendly. They had a special going on where you got a free bag of treats with your purchase, which was awesome! They employee offered to carry the big bag of food out to our car, nice touch, but my BF carried the bag. If I go in there on my own though I will definitely take advantage of that service. This dog food store carries the best brands of dog food available. I have been coming here for some time and tonight I heard the associate talk with a customer about his choices of dog food, which food might be best and was impressed how much the associate knew about each food. I decided to inquire about the food we had been buying, arcana, and exploring their new line of single source protein and why people buy single source versus a mixture of protein sources. In the end I decided to try the food. What I love most is if your dog doesn't like what you buy from here you can take it back even though it's open and tested. This is my second to go place for buying raw dog food. The employees are nice and often have samples. Price is only a little bit higher than my usual place. Location is conveniently near Costco. Their local delivery service is convenient too, but if you ordered something frozen, there's a chance that it might be partially defrosted by the time it arrives at your door. Good dog food, but management is a total shit show. My dogs got sick from their dog food after we switched to a different kind, anyways I went to take it back without the bag, and management claimed that on the bottom of the receipt it says you needs a bag to return which it doesn't. He claimed I was arguing with the employees, but I was just trying to get a different type of dog food that my pups could actually eat, management then decided to yell at me to get out of his store or he was going to call the cops if I ever came back, all over a bag of dog food. Again never had a problem in the past this was our local dog food store and they always treated us well and helped us in picking out what we needed for our dogs, I don't know if the manager Joseph was just having a bad day, but that doesn't excuse how you treat a customer who is just trying to understand a situation and get the right food for their dog. Alabama, which is the name of a cat who lives at the same house as I do, has an easily upset stomach. At his urging I set out to explore the offerings of pet food shops in my area. This is because he really does not appreciate the fare provided by the local corporate groceries. His pallette, he would insist if he could talk, is much too refined for Big Brand Name Cat Kibble. Protein for Pets (P4P) is the closest-to-home non-grocery, non-big-box-pet-food-store that I could find. Proximity was serendipity because it turns out I quite like this place. Even though it is in a shopping center, it feels very "Mom & Pop", and that is always a plus in my reckoning. The parking is safe and very close. The shopping center is clean and it has many other nice shops to check out, including Rosine's for dinner and Baskins for desert. Upon entering the shop I was greeted by a friendly but not pushy "pet food provider" (PFP) who engaged me in a quick convo about my pets and the reason for my visit. She recommended some canned foods and asked if I had tried their P4P brand of kitty kibble, called Naked Cat. I hadn't, and neither had my cats. She then gave me a bag of salmon-flavor and then a second bag (chicken). For free. This shop is more interested in giving the customer a good shopping experience rather than they are in squeezing all of my dimes out of me. They do a good job of sounding genuinely concerned about your furry fellows, too. This is a business and they are here to make money, sure, but I sure do like it better when they do it by giving me free stuff and by listening to me while I talk about my pets. I did some research and it turns out that this is not in fact a Mom & Pop shop, it is one of 12 (so far) stores in the chain. But they come really close to making you feel like it is. In fact, on subsequent visits they always remember my name. read more

I would be ok with this if I had a small dog, but my guy is going to be 8 months and is about 75 lbs. The workers handed me a few samples and informed me that if I by food from them and my pup doesn't like it I can return the food.
