This used to a great place for dog grooming. Over the last year or two, it's evident the grooming department needs new management. They can't keep the groomers content enough to stay and work there anymore so everytime we go, it's a different person, which means a different result. To start off, they were very helpful when I came with my dog! Multiple staff asked me if I needed help with anything and were all very friendly, gave me a good impression there. Customers in general were friendly as well but that was probably because of my dog haha. They actually had a bag of dog food there but it was 90% off! Crazy right? We come here for our pet food, dog treats, etc. Today we brought in our two mid-sized dogs for grooming. It had been a while and the larger one is usually terrified of the groomer. Cristina and Zayra did amazing work, our dogs came back looking great and it is clear they feel like a million bucks. On the report back they said both dogs did a great job and that was clearly because the groomers took the time and were attentive to our pups. I drove all the way to this PetSmart location because it was the closest one to where I live. I had to come into the store due to one of the cashiers forgetting to email me my second receipt for a previous purchase weeks ago, and I didn't realize it until I got home and days later as I did receive one receipt. When I went back, the cashier helping me was not able to pull up the receipt from my previous purchase. Due to the glitch PetSmart rewarded me via email points and redeemable for a certain dollar amount. I received the email from PetSmart a lot of bonus points to be loaded to my account and redeemable for a certain amount that was valid only through a certain date - today. The points were not uploading into my account when I selected to activate offer. I made several attempts and still no cigar. Therefore, I hand no other option except to go into the store because that was the only option as their was no number to call should there be any issues with the offer not getting loaded onto your account. When I went in the store, the cashier upfront was not sure why the points were not loading into my account, and she had to get the store manager to assist. When the store manager came to the register, I showed him the email and walked him through - clicking on the activate offer button and pulled up my treats membership, and he saw that the points did not add onto my account either. I asked if he can still honor it since I'm already at the store and the offer is only valid until today. He said no and that I have to call their technical service because something like that is a technical issue, and they can't do anything in the store. I was shocked that he wouldn't just honor it when I'm already there in the store and the offer is only valid until today. I've worked in retail years ago and always believe the customer is right and put customers first. To me, that was bad customer service. He turned a customer away and lost a customer over something so little like bonus points that I earned. I earned those points for a mistake one of their employees made, and yet I still came back to purchase something else from that same store, and he couldn't just honor and redeem the points with the email proof I had. Luckily, I lived close, so I was whatever about it and didn't want to make a scene. Plus, I did not want to be that person today and throw a fit and argue over something small. Due to his demeanor and firm stance in not wanting to honor it, I was not going to waste my energy and breathe over him. PetSmart us to be my go to for everything. For obvious reasons I only use them on rare occasion. (curb side pick up for groomers) if you do curb side service to drop off your dog, it's way slower than going in. The staff doesn't consider your appointment time. My wife tried dropping off my dog at very first time slot 9am. We have a baby and she can't leave the car. 9:14 am my dog was just picked up curb side. There were others walking there dogs in before ours got picked up, although we were the "earliest" scheduled for the groomers. Don't waste your time, just go in. They don't have enough staff to make curb side pick up work smoothly. read more

The customer service here is frustrating.....and confusing. Some of the employees here are just fantastic . Like happy, smiling, go above and beyond GREAT customer service. Everyone so far in grooming is top notch. Usually most of the employees that are out and about throughout the store to help with questions are also very helpful. Then you go to the cashiers. Ugh...the cashiers. If someone from management happens to read this...the cashier is usually the last person you interact with before you leave the store and the ones that give you the lasting impression of your experience in the store. If I could just deal with the other employees....5 stars. Then you go through the cashiers. The rating drops to 2 stars...and that's a shame. For example, the cashier that rung me up today. He asks me if I found everything I was looking for. I told him that actually it was really hard to find any dog toys that weren't made in China. He says that it's a smaller store so they don't carry everything. I told him that it was more of a safety issue and every store no matter the size should have toys made in the U.S. He then decides that it's his place to start debating and arguing with me on the safety of toys made in China like he's an expert or something because his dog uses toys from China and nothing has happened to him so far. Seriously?? Dude. Seriously? DUUUUUDE. Ok. Good luck with that.....and why are you arguing with me about it??? It's not your place to defend China and argue with customers when you obviously know nothing about safety issues with dyes, materials etc. made in China for dog toys and food. Duuuuuude. Seriously. This is a great location because there really isn't any other pet stores in the area. I have 2 kids so I do a lot of dog shopping and I really like to spoil them. This PetSmart really has a lot of dog apparel which is really cute. I like this location because every time I come inside they greet me and that is always nice. They have tons of toys and dog treats that are pretty affordable. The dog food that I like is Merrick but PetSmart does not carry it so I have to go to Petco for it. So overall PetSmart is not too bad and they have band field which is a vet hospital in the back of the building. read more

This particular location for grooming really needs to be restructured! Their process of making appointments, drop offs and pick up are very disorganized. They not only ignore you while you stand and wait, they deliberately talk to each other while you're right there arguing about who's going to help you. I should of took this as a clue to walk away but I was desperate to get my dogs nail clipped and teeth brushed; it took them around 10 minutes, if that, to brush my dogs teeth, file and buff her nails, clean her ears and do her anal gland expression. I found it impossible to do all that in 10 minutes but they claimed it was all done and without any comments or anything, gave me the paper to pay, almost $50 for nothing! I honestly feel they might have buffed her nails a bit and maybe wiped her ears but teeth brushed and the anal expression, doubt it! My dog is flat faced and they didn't give her water or tried to cool her down with them stressing her out while supposedly do what I brought her in for. She was exhausted, breathing heavy and panting when I grabbed her. I was going to ask if they could give her water but the girl walked out before I could look up. Don't take your dogs here for any type of grooming, the gal who I would normally go to, no longer works there and the groomers there now do not like their job and it shows. read more

We've been here so many times. If you want to buy fish, I recommend not to here. Every fish we've bought have been sick with ick. The "Fish expert" has given us many ideas to deal with this. We've spent over $100.00 on things to use in our fish tank to help cure it. We have just lost a second round of fish. The fish expert sold us another heater on top of it. It's supposed to get up to 78F. But the one he gave us is lower than the current one we have. We've had our water tested many times before we've bought the fish and it was perfect. All together we've lost 8 fish. Again, after spending over $100.00 on products that are supposed to help with this. read more

I thought I could like this store. On the surface, I thought I was getting good customer service. But the reality of my 2 subsequent visits have proven otherwise. Fish: The fish area employee was very knowledgeable about fish, and helped me carefully and purposefully choose the right fish for our tank. One fish I bought was $20, and she told me that it was possible it might be too agressive for our tank, and if that became the case then they would take him back from us despite their regular fish return policy. We gave him a very fair chance in our tank, and it became clear he was too agressive for the culture in our tank. I brought him back, and they refused to accept him back. Dog food: I saw a sign saying BOGO 1/2 off on a certain brand of dog food. Great - that makes it more affordable, when I'm buying multiple giant bags for my multiple big dogs. But the cashier refused. She brought someone up who showed the super-fine-print, which indicated if you bought the giant bag, you got some tiny thing for 1/2 off. That's not cool. Very poor signage. It felt very deceptive to me. So I'm done. I can't trust their customer service. I can't trust their signage. And their prices are certainly not low enough to keep me there, even if I could look past the other things. I'll drive farther for a much smaller chain that does give good prices and excellent customer service. read more

I made an appointment for a groom service for my dog, as I'm waiting to get her checked in I notice a big dog being groomed slipped off of the table and the lady grooming it got impatient and goes "DUDE, stop being a brat" like how unsettling and unprofessional. I shouldn't have proceeded with this place but it was the only location open to take my pup this day. I showed up with her rabies tag for proof of vaccination, and very flatly, the lady who checked us in goes "we don't take tags as proof you need to have her paperwork" I go okay, well we can reschedule sorry to waste your time, as I didn't want to drive back and forth. Her whole demeanor was just very snobby. She told me I can go to the banfield in the back of the store to get a copy so I did and when I came back in they took her back and I just see a couple of employees giving me weird looks. I decided to go ahead and let them take her but I will never return with her here again. As someone who's worked customer service for years, I can understand we're all human and have our days, but their attitudes toward us were just completely out of pocket and I don't recommend anyone come here. read more

Our experience started out bad, but ended happily. We bought a Beta and it died the next day. My 16 yr old went to get a replacement since it died so quickly. The cashier turned her away because she didn't have a receipt. However, Luca (the manager) helped us tremendously. I called and he remedied the situation immediately. If I could put zero stars, I would. Dr. Dawn Love, is a she devil. She allowed my poor cat to remain having ringworm without notifying me he even had it. She only gave scar cream to help his problem and said it was an allergic reaction. I spent 300 dollars for zero help from this office and had to spend another 300 to get the proper help for him. She endangered myself and my other animal for failing to let me know what was happening with his skin. read more

I have taken my dog here to the grooming department for nail trimming before a few times. I figured that I would try and take him for a bath today. I called and was put on hold, so long that the phone started ringing again. No one ever answered so I booked online. It confirmed that they had an opening for a bath today at 5 PM. I went about my business and 2 hours later get a phone call from Ashley saying that she doesn't know how it allowed me to book because she would not be able to bathe my dog today at that time. I think that they over book and don't pay attention to who books online. Something doesn't sit right with me and maybe it's a good thing. I will find somewhere else to take my dog. The manager girl here is reallllly rude she acts like she knows everything when in fact is completely wrong! I had a budgie I purchased and it died but the closest peat smart was this location so my daughter who is 10 and was very upset about her birdie dying when we did everything they instructed me to do. Then when I walked in to get another I was attacked right off the bat "oh you have a dead bird how did it die what cage is it in why did it die" I explained this is my first bird and I did only what was told by the PetSmart team! Well her employee chimes in that we won't be able to return it and so on not sure why when it has a 14 day guarantee. Long story short they refused to help me with my dead bird and had to drive 40 min away to the original store of purchase. No where on the contract did it state take back to the exact store it was purchased not on the receipt not on the contract. The fact that they argued with me about a dead bird! And made my daughter that much more upset realllllly took this to a whole new level. They need to be trained right!!! What if I got the bird in a PetSmart out of town then moved ? What I have to drive cross country to return my dead bird that they guaranteed??? This was wrong on a ton of levels and the fact that they make you feel like you did something wrong is just very upsetting. I'm really only reviewing the grooming section because the store is a typical PetSmart. Clean and organized with a friendly staff! The grooming department has always been lovely to us! For the longest time we had Christina specifically groom our pup and he was so in love with her! He'd get so excited to see him and she was just so amazing with him. She ended up moving away and since she left last summer we haven't really found a specific groomer to call ours. Which is completely fine! They all do an amazing job. They're always very nice and great with our pups. Definitely go here! Warning though, they are getting very booked on the weekends so book in advance! read more

I used to bring my Boston Terrier here to get groomed, for the last year. I really liked the people, and he always looks great when he is done. It's always been convenient to book online. Recently I received an email saying that French Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, and similiar squished faced dogs will now be considered an "express groom". So I called to make an appointment since I now cannot book online, and they said they couldn't fit me in on any date or time I requested. When I brought up the fact that they are the ones that changed the appointment procedure the girl told me they had some "issues" at other stores. Very disappointed in the customer service. When I purchased a parakeet I had the wings clipped or so I thought. A gentlemen was getting trained on how to clip wings during my purchase. Come to find out they didn't get clipped and our bird flew out the door. This being the second time this has happened from the same location is a little bit upsetting for my daughter. I am updating my review. Last time I went into the store they were out of the items that I had needed. I took the survey they sent me and mentioned how unhappy I was at some of the prescription food items that I needed for my cat that were not available. I got a phone call back from Keith at the store giving me more information as to what the problem or situation was with my vet prescription food needs. He was very kind and very informational as to what was happening. I really appreciated his reaching out to me personally on the phone to explain things to me. So I have a 7 year old German Shepard and a 6 year old chiwawa (go ahead, judge me). Anyways they were able to get a whole premium grooming package done last min, $120.00 well spent! Clean dogs made it look like I had my life together for my mom. They did a fantastic job, scarfs on the dogs, came back super clean and tail wagging.
