The staff--Gabs, Kayla, Daniela, and Enrique--are incredibly sweet, soft-spoken, and remarkably easy to talk to, even during those 6 am drop-offs. Being greeted by Kayla's pup, Yogi, or Carlene's pup, Poppy or Ingrid's pup is truly the best way to start the morning. They're such a joy; all they ever ask for is a little love and some well-deserved tummy scratches! The service is so thoughtful; they know Bams loves fetch but also ensure she gets her necessary quiet breaks after meals. Whether I'm at work or traveling internationally, I have total peace of mind thanks to the multi-angle webcam app and the heartwarming photo updates they send. Boarding is seamless (pro tip: label your food bags!), and the Paw Partner app makes booking a breeze. My situation of a dropped pre-paid stay package record lost during Dog Spot transition to a new on line app resulted in us not being able to use what we purchased. After 2 weeks of call messages, a visit to Dog Spot to get tbe new Dog Spot app loaded by the on-air Manager, and numerous voice mails to Carlene, the owner, I received an email telling me my pre-pause stay package had expired. My learning- don't buy pre-paid stay packages at Dog Spot. Don't expect the owner to return calls or follow up on customer concerns. She has staff to do that. read more

So on Monday, I had an emergency come up that took me out of town My fur baby always stays at DogSpot when I go out of town but the typical rule is you gotta drop her off before noon for an overnight stay that's their simple policy Well, I wasn't planning on going out of town 4 o'clock hit something came up and I had to go Made a phone call and they said because they knew my dog and my dog is very good at the facility. It wouldn't be a problem too make an exception to the rule. And I understand why the rules in place they want your dog there between six in the morning and noon for an overnight stay so that the dog will be tired and all the other dogs that are staying over will be comfortable. I get it. And again, thank you for making the exception So I dropped my dog off food medication, and specific instructions I picked my little fur baby up on Thursday evening and like normal. She is exhausted. She had a great time. Boarding a dog is always risky. Things can go wrong, and the dogs sometimes don't like it much. And you can't exactly interview your dog afterwards to find out how it went. My dog is a 10-year-old terrier, and in those 10 years I have tried maybe 5 different boarding places. Until I found DogSpot, I had been boarding my Gracie at a well-known place in Mission Valley. It was ok, but it was very expensive, it was a 30-mile drive from my home in Carlsbad, it didn't have very good cameras, and she always seemed to be a little out of sorts when I picked her up. I decided to look around again, and found DogSpot. I took Gracie there twice for daycare to see how she fit in, and then I took her there for 18 days while we went to a family reunion in Maine. When you've had a dog for 10 years, you can learn a lot about how she feels just by watching. DogSpot has the best video setup I've ever seen at a dog place, and I watched her carefully for a day or two and then checked in several times a day after that. She always looked happy and active and energetic. There is a resident dog groomer and washer, in the building. Not part of DogSpot, but they certainly get along and work well together. I had them give Gracie their premium wash before I brought her home, and she looked great. When Gracie came home she immediately returned to her at-home behavior, with no "out of sorts" transition period. Gracie liked DogSpot, and so do I. I'll certainly take her there again. read more

Our dog, Dublin, can't wait to get in the door when we drop him off. The staff is wonderful, very warm and welcoming. He has been in for day care and boarding. One of the reasons we chose Dog Spot for boarding is because Dublin can sleep where he chooses--on a bed, sofa or dog bed. He can't be crated so that was a big plus. If you want big vet bills, be sure to send your dog to dogspot. The place is being run by 20 year olds who didn't notice how aggressive another dog was being toward my dog. I sent my dog to daycare thinking it was safer than the park but not so much! I had to discover the bite on my own, they didn't tell me about it. Then after I reached out, I was told the owner, Carlene, was going to contact me but she never did! I had to reach out a week later to find out what they found when they watched the camera footage. Carlene STILL didn't reach out to me. Nor had she ever apologized and that dog, who bit my dog, still goes to daycare. They tried to down play it of course. To make matters worse, my dog brought Giardia home with him and he was asymptomatic for 2 weeks so all of my dogs then had it. It's been a nightmare. When I told Carlene I wanted a refund for my package, she wrote me a long winded email about how the Giardia came from somewhere else (my dog doesn't go anywhere but dogspot) and never even addressed the dog bite. Then my refund was $34 even though I had multiple days left, but because she's arrogant, she thought it was the smart idea to refund me as if I were paying by the day. I'm currently $2000 deep in vet bills between the bite and parasites that now all 3 of my dogs have. read more

My sweet baby Fuji loves going to Dogspot!! We have checked out every doggy day care and boarding facility in the area and Dogspot is the best. Everyone knows Fuji by name and gets excited when he comes in. They have always communicated any issues they observe with me and are very transparent (they even have a window where you can watch the dogs and cameras so you can check in with your pup during the day). Carlene, the owner runs a great operation! Whenever I am in the lobby to drop off or pick up I hear her taking the time to speak with customers about their fur babies or leading the team about processes. The girls who work there are so sweet and love to play ball with him!!! When I pick him up he always has the biggest smile on his face!! I was very nervous to leave Fuji overnight for the first time. I don't know how they keep track of all of the dogs that go through there, but when we left him overnight for boarding they had notes about his stay and when he woke up during the night etc. I was very impressed!! I've been bringing my dog here for half day daycare for 2 months now and just recently converted over to their unlimited monthly package. My dog loves it here! He is a high energy dog and he definitely comes home more relaxed after playing with all of the dogs there. The staff I've encountered thus far have been amazing. They are all very nice and know my dog by name which makes me know that they actually care about the dogs there. The pricing is very reasonable. Previously I was utilizing Rover to book people to walk my dog throughout the day when I was away at work which was quite pricey by the hour. The rates they have at DogSpot is much cheaper when I compared the two. Another nice thing about DogSpot is that they have an app in which you can check in on your dog throughout the day with their live video streams. I haven't boarded my dog there yet but I was given a tour of the boarding area on my first visit and it seems great since the dogs have some crate free places to lounge around if they choose. The groomer who comes in Wednesday's and Saturdays, Monica, is also amazing. She did an amazing job on my doodle and I'm so happy. So excited to have learned about this spot as a recommendation. DogSpot definitely sets the bar HIGH when it comes to dog daycare! My girl Dini LOVED it there and everyone was super nice. When I rescued Dini she had severe separation anxiety - Carlene and team worked with her and now she's super confident and I can leave her alone at home. The team always keeps the pups engaged with toys and just running back and forth. And it's climate controlled! It's hot, it's cold, it's rainy - no problem!
