Pro train dog service is what the doctor ordered for my naughty but nice dog. Michael explained every service that pro train provided and followed through with a home run. My dog cane into his kennel an unruly dog and left an obedient one. Michael and staff thanks again for making my best friend Daisy the best obedient, caring and respectful dog out there.

Our dog "Never" is an American cocker spaniel whom we took to training classes at another school-Petcoach which opened her up to bad habits of treats and jumping up constantly and nipping the kids hands for treats. Trying to unwind the bad behavior wasn't working with many consultants. We reached out to Pro-Train and did board/ train. Within a week no more jumping, she's got all her basic obedience / on and off leash. Her manners are incredible. She came home last night after training, going to the office was a dream she greeted everyone- no jumping. At home in the kitchen she sat on her mat while cooking. Absolute dream dog. Can't recommend this training enough

We had a great experience with Pro Train. Our 2 female dogs were having aggression issues with each other so we decided to put them into the 3 weeks training. The dogs are much more behaved overall. Now it's up to my my husband and I to keep the training up at home but it's nice to know they offer free refreshers for pet and owners! Also love the fact that we can board them and they will get a refresher training as well.

Two off duty service dogs doing a "down-and-under" at the restaurant while I eat.

Shell was our trainer and she is amazing. I am Deaf and have a service dog. She not only trained my dog but also taught me how to work with service animals and educate others. Shell became less of a trainer and more a key part of our family. She connected us to a second service dog as well. The two dogs are incredible and we could not say enough about how amazing Shell has been through the whole process. The professional environment and the level of expertise her staff brings to any dog owners is amazing. I constantly get strangers on the street asking me where I got my dogs trained. My dog comes with me to teach middle school and she is exceptional. This training facility is amazing and Shell is brilliant.

We adopted our 4 year old pit mix Chanel 2 years ago. She was a rescue and not socialized much by the previous owners. She has been attacked a few times by some neighborhood dogs out here in Vista Ca when we go on walks. She is overly aggressive with large dogs and wants to fight. We brought her to Pro-Train to get some discipline and get her over some of her insecurities towards other dogs. The staff did a great job working with her and teaching us how to properly reinforce positive behavior and correct her aggressive behavior. She is so much better on leash now and we understand her triggers and how to correct them quickly before she over reacts. She is still a work in progress but after 4 weeks at their facility she has made so much progress. My wife is now confident that she can take Chanel on walks and handle her without concern. We highly recommend Pro-Train if you dog is not behaving properly, you will learn so much and become a better pack leader. - Paul & Mary Jane

the first session

Such great trainers, my puppy definitely came back a whole new mature way! Something that i love is that his goofyness is still there. Nico used to jump on people while greeting them, pull on the leash, never listen or come to me whenever i'd call his name out. But now all of those things are so much better. Clearly it's a work in progress and training needs to be continued after training but this program was so worth it and i mean it. i was soooo scared leaving my pup at a board and train because i've had him since he was a baby and would be with him everyday but i knew it was the best for him and us and in the end he is so happy with more freedom that he gets from listening to recalls and just being a good boy in general! Also the e collar that goes with the program is the best in the game! it's called mini educator and his trainers actually let us try it on our palms and it's crazy but we didn't feel a certain level but our pup Nico does. It's just amazing and I would highly recommend.

She gave clear examples, helped us understand the challenges that came up, and always approached training with such positivity and patience. She made it easy to ease into the process by providing supplemental reading and exercises that gave us the fundamental tools we needed to keep building Tanner's training at home. Every class was truly a joy. I loved watching the other dogs and owners succeed, and it was so encouraging to see major progress from each dog and their family. Tanner will absolutely be continuing his training with Kate. Karin was also such a pleasure to have in class, and we loved the adorable photos she took of all the pups. Everyone we met at Kindred Spirits was kind, understanding, and patient. Their ability to problem-solve, adjust, and customize each dog's training based on where they were at was incredible. We cannot recommend Kindred Spirits enough!

**Life-Changing. Truly.**…read more I don't write reviews lightly and I especially don't write emotional ones--but Bark Busters of San Diego quite literally gave me my life back. For years, I lived in silence and stress. I couldn't leave my home without my dogs barking, howling, scratching at their crates, and spiraling into panic. The mouth watering alone was enough to break me. So instead, I stayed home. I adjusted my life around their anxiety. I suffered quietly because I loved them and didn't know what else to do. Until one day I broke down completely. I realized this wasn't living not for me, and not for them. We deserved calm. We deserved peace. We deserved to live our "best" lives and this wasn't it. Some people complain in reviews that dog training "doesn't work." Let me be very clear: anxiety whether in humans or dogs is not something you fix by checking a box. A true behavioral therapist understands one thing above all else, "awareness". Anxiety comes from surroundings and perceived safety. The work is learning how to respond and create calm and that takes consistency. I spent three straight weeks training four hours a day, every single day. I cried. I doubted myself. I wanted to quit. But I followed the Bark Busters program exactly as taught--daily simulations, real-world scenarios, repetition, and patience. And then something incredible happened. My dogs slept. They relaxed. They trusted. Today, I can leave my home and my dogs are calm, quiet, and peacefully sleeping, knowing I'm coming back. Visitors come and go with ease. My 9- and 6-year-old Maltipoos are relaxed, confident, and happy. And so am I. Here's the truth people don't want to hear, there is no magic pill. There is no shortcut. The training never "ends" because leadership and love are lifelong commitments. And honestly? That's the gift. Once it becomes part of your daily life, it feels natural. I walk more. The cuddles are calmer. I'm no longer being climbed on out of anxiety I'm being loved in peace. And about the cost? Think about it. You've already spent more on multiple trainers, treats, wasted time, emotional exhaustion, and a very unhappy household. Bark Busters' training is guaranteed for life. If you move. If life changes. If new challenges come you're supported. That matters more than people realize. Justin and his team are beyond words. Compassionate. Honest. Direct. They don't just train dogs, they train families. Value your pet's life. Value the short, precious time we get with them. Happiness--for everyone in the home is worth the work.

As first-time dog owners, the early support really did help us. Having someone we could call during those overwhelming first months was a relief. Over time, though, I realized I was hoping the training would shift toward more positive reinforcement. The constant, harsher corrections worked at first but eventually didn't seem effective anymore and started affecting my relationship with Mimi. I noticed this during a family trip where Mimi, who is usually fearful of strangers, bonded more easily with my husband and his family. She gravitated toward them when scared, and I realized it might be because they weren't following the correction-heavy approach, while I was. I also asked for help with Mimi's fear and reactivity toward other dogs, but was told they didn't have dogs available for training and that I would need to bring a calm, socialized dog myself. As a non-trainer, that was very hard, but we tried by traveling many hours to introduce her to my husband's family dog. The experience ended up being chaotic since the family didn't fully understand what the process required, and new people and dogs kept appearing even though Mimi wasn't ready. Her reactivity came back in that environment, which made me feel like the training had only put a bandaid on deeper fear issues. Maybe I should have clarified expectations better from the start, but with a high-need dog and being new to all of this, I didn't know what to expect. Since then, we've switched to a positive reinforcement trainer who organizes structured group activities. Mimi is still scared of bigger dogs and can still be reactive, but she's improving slowly and has been able to meet a few smaller dogs. She's also still fearful of people, but she nips a lot less now, so progress is happening. Overall, Bark Busters helped us in the beginning, but long-term we found that a different, more positive approach has been a better fit for Mimi.

Our dog came back calm, orderly, and OBEDIENT! After a month long stay and many many wonderful updates multiple times per week we are confident he has made at least a 90% improvement on his bad behaviors and is able to calmly behave not only around us but his reactivity to other dogs has made a tremendous improvement. Shannon and Sierra are STELLAR! I'd also like to mention they did a home drop off for us (since I'm still heavily pregnant) and spent over an HOUR with my husband and I going over all of the new things he has learned + even took a walk with us in the neighborhood to address another issue we had with reactivity. We were left with a sheet of all his new & enforced behaviors to keep track of along with super chewer toys and treats. Excellent, excellent, excellent experience with this team and I highly recommend anyone who needs this service to pull the trigger and go for it! You will not regret your decision!

The facility is exceptionally hygienic, but what…read morereally sets them apart are their strict vaccination and temperament standards that keep every pup safe. This place was a literal lifesaver for us: the staff once noticed Bams was lethargic with faint yellow gums--a detail so subtle that even Bams vet was impressed they caught it. It turned out to be mild jaundice, which proves that Carlene and her team are true professionals who deeply understand canine health. The front desk experience is always a highlight of our day. The staff--Gabs, Kayla, Daniela, and Enrique--are incredibly sweet, soft-spoken, and remarkably easy to talk to, even during those 6 am drop-offs. Being greeted by Kayla's pup, Yogi, or Carlene's pup, Poppy or Ingrid's pup is truly the best way to start the morning. They're such a joy; all they ever ask for is a little love and some well-deserved tummy scratches! The service is so thoughtful; they know Bams loves fetch but also ensure she gets her necessary quiet breaks after meals. Whether I'm at work or traveling internationally, I have total peace of mind thanks to the multi-angle webcam app and the heartwarming photo updates they send. Boarding is seamless (pro tip: label your food bags!), and the Paw Partner app makes booking a breeze. I also have to shout out Jessica from Snips and Snuggles--she is the sweetest groomer and always leaves Bams looking like a princess in her festive bandanas. A massive thank you to Carlene and the entire hardworking team-- Kayla, Gabs, Daniela, Enrique, Connor, Tim, and Ingrid (and anyone I missed!)--for the 14-hour days you pull to care for our furry family members. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was prepared and genuinely cared about making everything go smoothly. On the wedding day, she was amazing.
