I've been taking Hercules to DogSpot since he was a pup. The staff are outstanding and treat him like family. I especially like the fact that when I board him there, there is an attendant on duty all night-and he's sleeping cage free. The best decision I ever made was to take my shy Boston Terrier to Dog Spot to learn social skills. I received that and so much more. Shea has a second family that loves her and has her best interests at heart. They treat her like one of their own and she loves going to play and burn off energy. I adopted a dog with serious behavioral problems. He went through lots of training with little to no progress. His previous trainer said that the dog is unlikely to become social and that I need to put him on anti anxiety meds. The dog is very reactive to other dogs and aggressive to people (except for my family and close friends). He can't be walked on leash in public places if there is a chance to encounter another dog or be close to people. I wasn't ready to give up on him so I went to Carlene. After 1 training session with Carlene and e-collar my dog significantly improved his behavior. First of all he let Carlene pet him right away, I was very surprised to see that! Then Carlene taught him to heel and ignore distractions (including myself!). It was magical to watch his transformation. Then we were able to go for a walk with 2 other dogs and my dog was behaving surprisingly well. Now I have a hope that my dog is not a lost case thanks to Carlene. The rest is history when we pull into the parking lot, Eddi knows exactly where she's at and does she pull she wants to get inside so she can play with all of her friends. I've been taking my pup to dog parks since she was 10 weeks old. She is confident and playful. She high-tails it when dogs are rude, and she loves to roll-over in play. Breed specific legislation is a major issue within the dog community, and it breaks my heart because reinforces preconceived notions about this beautiful, ever changing breed. We bring our 1.5 yr old 60 lb female chocolate lab, Lady, here twice a week for doggy day care & she LOVES it! Lady's come to learn which days are 'school' days and will hop right into my husband's truck with her tail wagging eager to go see her friends. The best part is how knackered she is after a day of play. She normally falls asleep in the car on the 15 min drive home and is down for the count for the rest of the night and into the next day. My favorite part is that I can log into the 'daycare cam' from my desk/mobile and watch her play with the other pups in the yard. The team at Dogspot is great at what they do! Though we haven't had a need to board her as we have plenty of family willing to puppysit, I am very happy knowing there is a place that we'd feel comfortable leaving her if there was ever a time we needed it. I've waited for about a month to see how I felt about what happened, and I realized that I think people should know. They hit my puppy. We used to leave our puppy there 5x a week bc we bought the monthly unlimited for a few months. One night, I came in to pick him up and I saw a staff member forcing my 6-month old puppy's face into a pile of paper on the floor (as he whined), shoved him in a kennel, then smack him on the snout 2 times. If you want to hear more, hit me up. I have emails and texts to prove this incident. I'm sure they'll try to refute it here, but it is what it is. They made good with a refund, a staff training on not hitting puppies (you'd think they would have already done that BEFORE), and apologies from staff to owner. Dog spot is amazing I started taking my dog Sandy there two years ago. Dog spot has great customer service and people that work there are amazing and really like dogs. After a week everybody that work there knew Sandy name and the time, she usually comes in. Another benefit of Dog spot is that you can watch your dogs through cameras when they are at day care. Also, there is always multiple people in the yard exercising the dogs. The overnight boarding is also amazing my dog Sandy has to take medications every 12 hours and she spits her pills out. They had no problems and where able to give her, her medications. That is not the only benefit of dog boarding they are also not in cages and have people that watch them overnight which is great.
