SHORT STAFFED AND HAS TO TURN AWAY BUSINESS. GROOMING HOURS GET CHANGED AND ARE NOT ALWAYS ACCURATE!
I recently moved up to Fallbrook from El Cajon in December and was in need of a new groomer to trim my dog's nails every month. I decided to give this Petsmart a try since we have always received amazing service at the Petsmart in El Cajon. I have to say the service my dogs received was fine, this review is mainly about the lack of staff at this location after multiple visits and hopefully management reads my feedback and will make some needed changes.
First time we came it was well before closing time during the week and they were slammed. Almost turned us away and started turning walk ins away after us saying they were short staffed and would have to come back. Next month it was the same thing except I called in advance like i was told. They said they were closing early because of being short staffed and to come before 3pm. I got off work early, did the 20 minute drive there while calling them and the person told me they close at 3pm but they don't accept walk ins after 2:30. She luckily still took me because I was already on my way and clearly no one told me that when I called before. The staff told me they should be full staffed by my next appointment. Came for my next appointment only to be told that there was a 40 minute wait because they are backed up on scheduled appointments, still short staffed and I would have to wait. That was the last straw for me.
I completely understand being short staffed for a few weeks, or having a slammed day once in a while but I get an excuse EVERY time I come to this place on why they can't service my dogs or how they are making an exception for me just this once when I am not even asking for anything outrageous. My dogs nail trims take 20 minutes max, I've been told appointments take priority over walk ins, I've been told to call in advance and check house busy they are but I can't make appointments since nail trims are walk in services only and I have called only to be told the same thing over and over. If you are short staffed for 4 months and, I am assuming everyday, then that is an issue. It isn't fair to your staff who are spread that thin and it isn't fair to your clients who have to try and leave work early because you decide to close at 3 instead of your normal time. I drive 20 minutes to get there and I have left work early to accommodate your limited staff, I try to go during the week to avoid the busy rush on the weekends, but I just seem to get a new excuse every time. If you are really that busy all the time, having to turn away business regularly, and you're still not hiring more people to help out, then I guess I will just take my business elsewhere. read more
