Ive taken him to another groomer before that could never get his cut right or trim detail areas like the paws. This place was wonderful, Took around 3 hours and they were so thorough! They even had him on the table still so i could examine him and make any changes. They gave me a full rundown of what they did to him, they even found foxtails in his paws that I had no idea were there! They took all the foxtails out, and trimmed his paw fur down perfectly!! Yeah, this was our first experience and will be our last unfortunately. Was definitely hoping for a better cut. They were good about getting him in last minute though. We have a cavapoo and we know what type of cuts look good on him. When I dropped him off I let them know they can trim, cut but whatever they do, don't shave him. I was pretty clear about this. Well, two and a half hours later I went to pick him up. And.... he's shaved. He looks like a freaking rat. For whatever reason they left his head hair longer so now his head looks huge on a body with no fur. They also left his tail super bushy like a squirrel. I really have no idea what they were thinking when they cut his hair. No mention of anything when I picked him up and I was just in shock. Wish they would have brought him out to me before asking for a tip. His name is Max and he was in on Wednesday July 10. read more

I'm SO happy I found this place! I've had so many bad experiences with groomers where you make an appointment and they keep your dog for 6+ hours and they come out distressed, dying for water and have to go potty several times. This is NOT one of those places. Both times I've dropped my dog off at 9am, he goes right back (trusts them), and then I get a text around 10:30 that he's all done. For reference, I have a medium 30lb Aussie mix rescue, almost 10 years old. He's always been pretty touchy with grooming, especially his feet, so the first time I let them know if he gets over it at any point, it's fine to leave off some of the extras. They listened to my requests, noted what I wanted, and said they'll try to get as much done as they can but would let me know if they skip anything. When I picked him up they said he was really good with everything, just got a little nervous with the blow dryer, so they just went slow on the lowest setting and he did fine. I really appreciate that they care about the dog's comfort and will take their time to ensure they're not stressed out. He had some matting in his tail the first time I wanted them to take care of and I was worried he'd come out looking like he went to sport clips with a coupon. They cut out all the matting, and even had it up front to show me how much, but you couldn't even tell by looking at his tail (meaning it still looked full and fluffy and no obvious chops). Also wanted just light trimming down the back of his legs where sometimes accidents happen due to the long fur. They cleaned it up perfectly. They trimmed up his scraggly grinch paws (and nail trim) so he looks like a puppy again. Sent him home with a bow on his collar for the holidays. He comes out happy and fluffy, smelling great, and their de-shedding treatment really works! No more piles of fur after petting, for like weeks! His spa day came to about $105 before tip. Worth every penny knowing my dog is comfortable and happy. Thank you to your awesome staff! read more

Terrible cut on my toy poodle. I provided a photo of him with the cut I wanted and they gave me back a choppy, uneven cut with straggly hairs all over his face. I wasn't sure when we picked him up but he was fluffy so it was a bit hard to tell. This photo is from the next day when his hair settled and it was very obvious. I had to take my scissors and try to trim him myself because it was so awful and amateurish. I did ask them to shorten his facial hair when we picked him up, showed them the image to match again and they still didn't get it. Maybe they are good at certain breeds but I wouldn't trust them for poodle cuts. read more

My wife took our Lily, a terrier mix in to get a spa treatment for her first time. The groomers were very in tune with what we wanted and what might be best for Lily since this was her very first visit to the groomers (she is only 6 mos old). First time bringing my puppy to a professional groomer and first time with Bark Bath N' Beyond. With that said, I was very impressed with their services! My puppy is very skittish and cries easily. He doesn't like getting groomed at home, so I was nervous about bringing him to a groomer. I had no issues scheduling my appointment. When the day came to bring him in, I brought proof of rabies vaccine like they had asked and they explained the process and what the grooming session entailed. They asked me how I wanted his hair to be cut, and I told them, "Whatever might be flattering," since I knew he had some matting, especially on his ears. I didn't have high expectations for his look because I just wanted an initial grooming session to prep him to be on a regular grooming schedule. With that said, I've had some experience in the past bringing our other dogs to other groomers and was bracing myself for a short, not-so-cute haircut because bad matting usually has to be cut out, but when I went to pick him up, I was floored with how great he looked! They gave me a run-down of how the grooming session went and provided tips on how to continue to prep him for future sessions. I'm so thankful for the work that they did. I know my puppy can be a tricky one to work with, and the fact that they were able to give him a good haircut given all the moving and snipping he does says a lot about their talent. We've brought our 11yr old poodle-mix here a few times & the quality of grooming has been great. But our dog acts exhausted after each visit. We ask for the typical list of grooming tasks (shampoo, 1" haircut, nails, glands, caution with skin 'bumps')& are charged $80 for our 38lb dog, which seems high but they do good work. Sometimes it's 4hours from drop-off to pickup even with an appointment. Last time we brought him, he dug in his claws and didn't want us to leave, whining. This is unusual so his behavior & apprehension made us find another groomer. read more

Dropped off my Yorkie and had a conversation with the intake lady that I wanted to let the hair on my dogs head grow out and didn't like it too short. My dog was ready on time (so efficient service) but when I picked her up she had the same short, lame hair cut that I expressly asked that she not be given. I feel like there were a lot of family members behind the scenes helping to groom and my request was either not passed along or they only knew how to give one haircut to Yorkies. I've taken my puppy here around 3-4 times to get groomed, and the first time it was great, but it got worse each time. The every other time, but the first, my puppy (a 7 month old Westie) goes in weary and leaves scared. She was overdue for a grooming & this time they didn't even shave her legs saying she was "moving a lot" but after closer inspection it looked like she wasn't even conditioned. Her ear are still yellow, & the area around her eye is very closely shaved to the point where her bare skin is showing. We also got charged full price for only half of her body being shaved, which is ridiculous. Last time we took her in there was a line shaved near her eye, it looked like they lost control of the razor and just barely missed her eye. Our large dog loves everyone & when we got there she tried to sprint out the moment the groomer let her go to me. She's a really happy puppy & though normally doesn't love bath time she gets genuinely frightened and got in a fear position when she saw one of the groomers as we picked her up. We were recommended this place from another westie owner and gave it multiple tries (with our puppy and our larger dog) every time we were more disappointed than the last. I hate leaving reviews, especially bad ones, but when I see both of my dogs in literal fear multiple times while being I definitely got a little worried. read more
