My friend dropped his animal off here for doggy day care. I have never used this service but it is nice to know it's there. When his dog came out she was all bouncy and happy so it shows they do a good job. They offer a great grooming service on the property, I have used that, always a pretty pooch. Good selection of toys and biscuits and anything else you need. read more

PetSmart - Doggie play room - Pet Stores Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

King Louie is strictly a Petco dog but PS has items that Petco doesn't carry so every once in awhile we make a PS run! This is my first time coming to a PS out here in Nevada so everything is new to us again :/ I came in looking for a new collar and something for his tear stains, I've noticed since moving here 4 months ago he's developed a bad tear stain on one side of his face, my go to Blueberry facial isn't even touching it! It's sad because he never had such bad stains living in California :( This store has a huge selection of goodies for your pets but I don't like is that they put the grooming products in the same aisle as the cat adoption is so it can be a CF, lots of people wanted to see the cats and were in the way of the grooming aisle that I was in. I'm very through when it comes to KL's grooming products because he is very itchy and has developed the tear stains, I was disappointed they only carried ONE tear stain product! The only one they carried was a Martha Stewart and it was $11.00! I heavily debated buying it or going online but my mom pointed out that by the time you pay for shipping and the product it's the same price. I didn't feel like going to Petco either so it was now or never LOL! I always find more than what I'm looking for and spoil KL! This is close to me and will be my go to location ^___^ read more

My family and I have been customers of the Stephanie St. PetSmart since we moved to Henderson. It is typically an underwhelming experience like you would have with any shopping trip; get in, get out and get home. The store itself has always been clean and the staff has been courteous with no notable sway in either direction... That is until we met Jillian! Santa gave our children gift cards to pick out their own hamsters after Christmas. Jillian was there the day we picked out Jelly and Meatball, as well as the days that followed and I was fortunate enough to see just what an invaluable employee she is! My daughter quickly chose her hamster, Jelly, from the selection on the floor, but my son had really wanted a white and blond hamster which they did not seem to have. Jillian, without pause, directed us to the back where she had three more that were just about ready to go out. Here, my son instantly fell in love with Meatball. Despite it being very busy that day, she never once made us feel rushed and ensured that we understood everything there was to know about this adoption, and even gave me a couple little "quizzes" (such as how many cages we had- since hamsters can be very territorial) to be sure we were "ready". This speaks volumes to me as a pet owner and pet lover. These employees, Jillian especially, actually care for the animals they adopt out and want to be sure they go to GOOD homes. Now, the very next day, we happened to notice blood in Jelly's hamster ball. I panicked as I could not find the source of the bleed and worried it might be a uti or some internal damage. I knew the store closed in five minutes but I called to see when I could bring her in the following day. Jillian was there and told me to come by and ring the bell even if they were closed so that they could take a look at her. I was panicking and Jillian set my mind at ease almost immediately. She looked Jelly over and said she believed it may be a small cut on the paw that was bleeding because she did not see "wet tail" or other symptoms. She still offered to keep her overnight for observation and to be sure she was correct. The following day I called to check and lo and behold, Jillian was there! This poor girl never stops! Jillian remembered me well and assured me that Jelly had been looked over by several sets of eyes ad it seemed she was healthy, albeit with a minuscule booboo on her tiny foot. Despite feeling silly for overreacting, she assured me that its always better to be safe. All in all I must say that while I have been a half-hearted customer for many years, Jillian and my most recent experience with the PetSmart staff have made this an experience I needed to share and put Petsmart way ahead of the game. I commend EVERYONE at this location and hope that Jillian will get recognition for her outstanding customer service! read more

Petsmart in Henderson on Stephanie street is very incompetent and rude. We had reservations for boarding our dog there during Christmas to New Years week. Incidently our dog was boarded here before they did not read the vaccine information correctly stating vaccine was expired refused to board our dog. They caused undo stress and confusion during what should have been a happy vacation. We scrambled around to find another place to board her. I was beside myself due to our resort does not allow pets. Upon arriving home I made a vet appointment to get her vaccine updated vet advised no vaccine required until April. Petsmart miss read the date of vaccine for expiration date. The supervisor Ashley was very arrogant and did not offer an apology at all. Her demeanor was that of no big deal and should be fired. I asked her who the associate was she said the computer does not say only that associate called my vet and was told vaccine was expired. This associate needs to be fired too she was very rude and argumentative. I asked for a manager was told she would same the same thing. She asked me to leave as I was holding up the line. I told the associate who posted this information did not post her name which I find hard to believe. I told the vet what happened I was advised NEVER to board my dog at any Petsmart. A vet assistant use to work there and states they are very bad, charge alot, and do not treat dogs well. If I could give a minus 10 I would.... read more

The price of there grooming service is good but the lady did not listen to me or my wife. I ask her 3 times when dropping him off not to cut any hair on his nose or chin because we are trying to grow our dog a beard and mustache. Both were cut, a lot. I know it's a small gripe but I did ask several times not to trim those areas. Won't be going back for grooming not because they do a bad job but the lady would not listen. read more

I took my Doxie to their groomers to have his nails cut. I sat and watched while one girl held Oscar instead of putting him on the table and the other girl cut his nails. I explain to them he's going to squirm. They dropped him and broke his back. PetSmart did not pay any of the vet bills nor did they pay me anything. They were uncooperative and rude. It took all of my savings to save my dog. They took him to Banfield to be x-rayed and they didn't even pay that bill it ended up on my credit bureau. It's now off but it took me two years of learning how to do therapy myself to get my dog to be able to walk beware of their groomers read more

Took my Boston in today for a nail grinding and watched the girl drag my dog across floor with the leash. When I asked her to pick him up instead of dragging she said they have to walk to the station because of the cameras. (?) what? You watched him walk in, correct? That's no way to treat an animal resisting you walk with you. You do not drag across the floor. I will not be coming back here. read more

Meow, woof, chirp... The animas all love this place. I have been to several of the other Pet Smarts and this is a keeper! 1. Hours - What great hours. Always open very early. 2. Service - Very excellent and often times, they have teams walking around the store asking if you need assistance. These staffers know their stuff! 3. Prices - Hmm, I priced a dog food canister here and at Petco. at Pet Smart, it was 30% cheaper. Both were NOT on sale. 4. Doctors - this one has a Banfield Hospital attached to it, and it is mighty convenient. 5. I like t his place! Check it out. You will feel taken care of here! read more

Had to get some little container of food for my little one. Petsmart is a little pricey on certain items, just have to look like at target and other venues for sale on those items that you may be looking for. milk bones are way cheaper at target especially for the mini flavor bones my kids like. Cesar food containers a not carried at other store locations but petsmart will have all the flavors and varieties my kids like, especially one of mine can't have any potatoes, pork and rice products, so I have to be careful on what is in her food. If your looking for something hope you'll find it on sale. read more

I went to this PetSmart location with the intention of buying my daughter her first "fish" and I left very disappointed. I waited more than 5 minutes for someone to appear in the fishing department to help me. Then, since no one came, I decided to seek help on my own because I had few questions about some articles. I finally found someone who works there and it was one of my worst experiences. All I have to say is that your staff needs to be more qualified because their customer service is very, very poor. There is no respect towards customers. What a horrible experience! I would never step to that store again.. OJO!!!!! The blonde lady that rang up my items was extremely rude, and I was surprised because normally the staff is so friendly and helpful which is why I usually shop here. I asked my brother who I was shopping with which phone number we were using, since he didn't have any points on his and she abruptly cut in with "HOLD ON PLEASE." I left it alone at first because I figured she didn't see me looking at him, and not her. But then when she asked for my number and I gave it to her she kept claiming it wasn't pulling anything up, and after a second attempt (my brother later pointed out she wasn't typing the number I was saying he just didn't want to make it anymore awkward) I told her it was fine, but she asked me with an attitude if I would like to claim the number as my own, which I said no and tried to tell her I know that's the phone number I use. She got even more agitated and cut me off with "Would you like to claim that as YOUR phone number???" I just laughed nervously and said no, got my receipt and left. It was extremely awkward. I've had the same phone number for years, and I even checked my app when I got back to the car to make sure and it's still the same for my Treats points which I have also been using for the past 3 years. Maybe she was having a bad day? I don't know. I don't leave reviews often but this experience sucked. There's no reason to attack a customer over nothing. ‍ read more

We had Nestor try to groom our puppy. We have been here before and had ZERO PROBLEMS. The past lady said our dog was such a good boy. Nestor called me within 15 min of dropping off our puppy stating they could only bathe our puppy because our puppy was trying to bite and barking like crazy so he couldn't do the rest of the grooming. They charged us 17$ for a bath. Nestor proceeded to say that the manager even said the puppy was bad last time. But why didn't they tell us that last time and why did the girl say he was a sweetheart? So we went to PETCO and the groomer had zero problems grooming our puppy and said he was such a sweetheart. I just think Nestor was being a lazy groomer and didn't want to take the time to treat our puppy right. Because of this bad service, I will definitely be going to Petco for now on. read more

While I don't buy my food here, the grooming service was rather excellent for a last minute trim. Took in my 2 year old Terripoo for a cut and loved the result. He was gone about 2 hours and came back smelling good and happy as ever, they even sanded the nails for no additional charge. I typically do privately owned groomers (only the best for Silas) but this location was surprisingly good. Will be returning in the future if my regular girl is booked. 4 stars as it wasn't extremely clean and staff could have been a little nicer. read more

We absolutely love the staff at this Petsmart location! They take excellent care of our furbabies!

My dog doesn't usually stay at this Pets Hotel but our normal one was booked and this was the only available room so we took it. Upon check in Christmas Eve things were disorganized, computers weren't working or slow, dogs had peed in the lobby and hadn't been cleaned up yet and it just wasn't a very good first impression but the staff seemed nice. Again on pickup a few days later the place smelled of urine but there were no dogs out today so maybe that's just how it smells inside. The computers were slow/frozen but the staff was very pleasant again and my dog seemed pretty happy so that's the important part. read more

On 4/4/2017 I previously reviewed the Stephanie Street Petsmart Pet Hotel, giving it a glowing review. Fast forward to January 2018 and unfortunately we had a completely opposite boarding experience with her. DO NOT board your pet here if they are on medication (s). To keep it brief, my senior dog was not given her medication properly, resulting in a reoccurrence of her health issue. Her bedding was completely soiled upon checkout, and when I inquired as to why her bedding was ruined I just got a shoulder shrug from the young man working the front desk and a "maybe it fell into the drain" (!) he then proceeded to procure a black binder from a drawer and scan a ten per cent off coupon. It's taken me a full week after her stay at the Petsmart Hotel to get my dog back on track with proper eating and her incontinence issue. We will never frequent this facility again. read more

I'll disclose I am an employee at this petsmart but I want to leave my review as I have been coming here for years prior to me starting work there last year... my dogs all go to the pet hotel few times a year... I've always been able to call and check on them and family can see them also in case I want them checked on... the kennels are very roomy... there is always staff there 24/7... Alexis is the manager in there and along with the whole staff including other manager Brad they make sure my pups are loved and taken care of... now as I started working there I get to see how much these people truly care about the animals even more so than you may see... I trust this pet hotel location with my babies!!! read more

I have taken my dog many times to PetSmart for training, grooming & a ton of doggie day camp sessions. However, at the end of July one night I went to pick up my dog from day camp & got home I noticed my dog had a small area of blood on him. Two days later it still was not better so I took my dog to the vet. My dog had been bitten multiple times on the side of his back & the area was infected. My dog had only been in PetSmarts care & wasn't being looked after properly. My dog had to be on pain medication & an antibiotic for the bites he had gotten while at day camp. Of course no one is willing to own up to what happened & no one has offered to reimburse me for that days camp and/or vet bill. I will NEVER take my dog to any PetSmart ever again & highly advise everyone else to do the same. read more

The grooming is horrible. I've been there several times and service was always underwhelming. The last time I went there, it took forever (though we were promised 3 hours, it took 6 hours on a Saturday) and when my dog came back home I noticed fresh razor cuts on his stomach. I will never go there for grooming again. edit: I pass by this Petsmart all the time because it is in the same strip mall as my grocery and Michaels. One night after shopping at Michaels (about 5pm) I was walking to my car in the parking lot and noticed a large dog running from the direction of this Petsmart to the Hash House a gogo across the parking lot. I tried whistling to it but it just stood there staring at me. It was too far for me to see what breed, but I think it must have been a black lab or a dark larger dog, and looked clean enough to not be a stray. I ran into the Petsmart and alerted their grooming department and Petshotel in case they were missing a dog. They had no idea if it was one of theirs but two of their associates came out with me to try to find it. It was getting dark and I had to leave but I never did find out if they got the dog or what happened to it. But ever since then I will NEVER EVER board or groom my dog there. I pray that it wasn't one of their customers dog. Can you imagine being a pet owner and going back into the store for them to say that your dog has run away into the night? read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, worse petsmart in Las Vegas! This location would not allow me to get my cats nails trimmed on a weekend , two different employees were very rude when explaining this to me. I called the Charleston location and they set an appointment day of right away. I am so torn. This review would have been a 5 if I hadn't experience the horrible service at the cash register with a young man yesterday who really didn't strike me as someone who wanted to be there. The rest of the associates were very lovely, from those in the grooming center to the dog trainer who helped me find just the right products for my dog. Let me back up a bit. I came in to Petsmart on Stephanie Street yesterday in the afternoon to have my Yorkies nails trimmed. When I first walked in I went to the front person at the cashier and told him I needed to have my dogs nails trimmed. He said "uhhh..Okayyy.." and just looked at me with one eyebrow raised without saying anything else...I asked him "So....what do I do?" and he replied "Go in there." and pointed to the groomers room. I was irritated but quickly forgot about it...maybe he was new and our communication just wasn't there. Then I walked around the store for a while and picked up a new bed and some toothpaste for my yorkie while we waited for his nails to be trimmed. Again I went up to the same boy at the cash register and he rang up all my items. At the end I asked him if I was supposed to pay for grooming there or in the grooming area, he told me "You need to go in there and get the paper and then come back out here." Again, I was super irritated. He saw me less than five minutes ago and knew that I was unaware of what to do..he could have told me at the BEGINNING of the transaction that I would need to go back in there again, come back out AGAIN and deal with him AGAIN. This time, I was getting a little more upset but still trying to just brush it off. So we rung the bed and the toothpaste up, paid for it and I gave him my pets perk card. I've had that card forever, its not too pretty. He grabbed it, and scoffed, and looked at me like I was a complete idiot. I was BOILING. After I paid I went in to grab my dog and his tab. We then came back out AGAIN, and stood in line, AGAIN. I handed him the paper which he scanned and then told me I owed 9 dollars. I told him that didn't sound right since I was in last year at the beginning of the year to get my dogs nails trimmed and with my pets perk card it was only 4 dollars. I told him it was wrong and he proceeded to tell me "We don't ever give discounts with the petsperk card." What are you talking about!? By this time I had enough. I asked him if he knew what he was doing and told him it seemed like he didn't even want to be there. He just ignored me and proceeded to talk about the survey on the reciept. I can not believe how horrible this boy was. Everyone else was great. But I'm hoping the manager of this Petsmart knows the saying "One bad apple spoils the bunch", because this boy has no business being at Petsmart. When there are so many great, enthusiastic, kind people out of a job who are looking for one and then I see people like this, I get very confused. Please choose better employees. read more

Came to this location cause it is close to the house. Every employee is busy at 700 at night the store is empty. Your walking around with a cup of coffee how busy are you. This review is in process....about a month ago, I went to this Petsmart and stopped by the cat adoption center. At that time, the cat cages were filthy. There were feces outside of the litter boxes in more than one cat cage. No fresh water. The cats looked miserable and unhappy. The smell inside the cat donation center was very unsanitary and gross. The smell of cat urine was everywhere, because it was obvious the cats' cages had not been cleaned out in a awhile. I was very upset but when I went to the store manager and sales attendants, the only answer I received was that the cages were cleaned twice a day. One of the cashiers stated that 'someone must have forgotten to clean out the cages that morning' Okay, well, then, clean it out then. I get that, however, since daily donations are made by paying customers, it only makes sense that when you see that the cats are living in filth, you clean their cages immediately (regardless of whether it was already cleaned twice that day). I even offered to clean up the mess, because no one working there was offering to do anything about it. The manager and staff were not professional or very caring about these cats. I contacted the Henderson Animal Shelter to notify them that the cats they entrusted were not being treated properly. Since then, I have visited this same cat adoption center, and the cages have been clean. Fresh water was provided to these cats with warm blankets. I just ask that these cats be treated with kindness and respect. I will continue to monitor this cat adoption center to ensure that Petsmart has continued their responsibility to these animals and that the cages remain sanitary. Next time, if I need to, I will name the manager and sales assistants. I will also take pictures of the cages should I ever witness that kind of filth in their cages again. read more
