    New Roborovski dwarf hamster

Yesterday my husband and I got new hamster from PetSmart. This store was the only place that had hamsters. We got ourselves l another Roborovski dwarf hamster. She's a little shy but very cute looking.

This is the photo they took for Christmas with her paws filthy that my family and I was wondering what she had gotten in to.

I wish that a no (zero) star was possible. I am not even sure where to begin with this review but it certainly needs to be heard. My family and I decided to spend Christmas in Las Vegas and I have 2 PSD's (Psychiatric Service Dog) as a combat veteran. My oldest dog will be 13 next year and my newest one turned 2 this past August. I can admit that my teen fur baby is a spitfire, she is also still in training but loves to play and is full of energy. My senior fur baby is just that senior, she is super chill and prefers to lounge most of the day. We live in California so we decided to drive to Las Vegas because initially my babies were going to be staying with me in the hotel, but we decided that since we'd be in and out a lot it may be good for them to board and play with other fur babies. BIG MISTAKE! My fur babies were dropped of on December 23, 2024 to be picked up on December 27, 2024 at the time of check in I paid for some package that included Christmas photo and some other what knots. On the morning of December 27th we arrived to pick up my fur babies and the young lady takes their carriers back to put them in and bring them to us, upon her return I was speaking with her colleague about some of the things we'd done while in Las Vegas. One thing that could have been problematic upon our arrival was an issue with a coupon but they seemed to work it out amongst themselves. Nothing could have prepared me for the blatant negligence I was about to encounter. When I got them to the hotel room we immediately took them out of the carriers to feed them and neither of them would eat that was a semi-red flag for me because my babies love to eat and will even twirl to let me know if I've taken to long to get a meal out. But then I figured maybe it's the excitement of being back with us. However, neither of them were super excited like they are normally when I pick them up from the private sitter when I do not take them with also another red flag. As I was preparing to get everything packed so we could check out I noticed when my teen was getting back in the carrier she had something on on rear end, when I took her out she was full of matted fecal matter that appeared to have been on her the entire stay at this hotel. I was livid as my fur babies are groomed every 2 weeks like clock work and they'd just had a grooming before going to this ratchet place. They did not have the decency to wash her ass before returning her back to me. The biggest mistake I made was going into cleaning mode before taking pictures, I did take pictures but it was after I stared getting the largest pieces of fecal matter off of her. This hotel should be shut down and everyone working there should NOT be allowed to work with animals. It is clear that those individuals DO NOT love and appreciate these gentle souls. I am attaching photos so that everyone can see the neglect that I teen fur baby had to endure. On the Christmas photo my entire family was wondering why her paws were so dirty and we were initially thinking it was from play and then realized it was fecal matter. If they come out in order the first photo is what my fur baby normally looks like in her natural environment, every photo after is from the ratchet hotel. Then to top it off both of my fur babies now have kennel cough this place is THEE ABSOLUTE WORST! If you truly love your fur babies you will steer clear of this particular facility, I can't speak on any others as this is the only one I have used and I WILL NEVER, EVER USE THEM AGAIN NOT EVEN TO BUY PRODUCTS. I WILL ONLY SHOP AT PETCO FROM THIS DAY GOING FORWARD! Fur Parent Be Aware you have been WARNED!

Unfortunately Pawsitive Difference pet rescue doesn't have their own page so I have to leave my review here since they host events at this Petsmart location. I do not recommend supporting Pawsitive Difference. My girlfriend and I have fostered multiple times, and we recently found a dog we truly connected with -- one who seemed like the perfect fit for our family. Unfortunately, the way this agency handled our experience was incredibly upsetting and unprofessional. From the beginning, there were red flags. At our first visit, we were told by the owner that we couldn't take the dog out of the kennel into the play area -- yet just minutes later, another family (with a child) was allowed to do exactly that. The dog also wore a pink collar and had paperwork showing for his already-adopted sister. We were later told this was intentional to make him seem more appealing by presenting him as female. Still, we looked past all this and decided to foster him when that family chose not to adopt. During the foster period, everything clicked. Our typically shy dogs loved him, and he loved them. We became quickly attached and knew he was the one. The following day, we were told we had to bring him back to the next adoption event. When we arrived, we expressed we were certain to adopt him -- though we were surprised by the $650 fee. We were told this included neutering, vaccines, and PetSmart training. Since we already have a trusted vet and experience training our dogs, we politely asked if the fee could be adjusted. The owner was dismissive and rude, flatly saying no. Despite that, we stayed near his kennel, trying to make the numbers work. One staff member even snapped at us, saying, "No one else can see him if you're standing there," despite the fact that we were already fostering him and trying to finalize the adoption. Eventually, we decided we were all in -- we'd make it work, no matter what. I approached the adoption coordinator (Joel) and told him we were ready. He acknowledged that, as fosters, we had first choice, and informed a staff member named Cindy of our decision. Cindy abruptly contradicted him and loudly announced we couldn't adopt him because another family was now interested -- even though they hadn't started any paperwork. Her loud reaction caused their young daughter to cry, and the situation escalated unnecessarily. To make things worse, one staff member (I didn't get her name but she is in the photo attached) physically grabbed my girlfriend when she tried to gently apologize to the other family. We were shocked and heartbroken. We were told, in no uncertain terms, "You're not adopting him. They are." It felt like retaliation for simply asking if the adoption fee could be flexible -- as if that somehow disqualified us as potential adopters. We ultimately wish nothing but the best for the dog we grew to love, and truly hope the young girl who adopted him gives him the amazing life he deserves. This organization's behavior was deeply disappointing. They were unprofessional, combative, and seemed more interested in money than the well-being of their animals or the families willing to love them.

The featured photo shows Amber with my little old man. Amber was kind, gentle, and patient while I was trying to figure out how to size my dog's paws for booties so his paws won't burn. She worked with him and me on trial and error. Thank you for hiring her!

Elsa loves her fresh mini schnauzer cuts!
    Lynneve N.

I adopted a mini schnauzer from the animal foundation just over 2 years ago and she came with a lot of trauma responses, from what seems like obvious abuse prior to me adopting her. She was terrified of people. After talking to a few groomers around this area, I entrusted a Petsmart groomer named Brandy and she's done such a great job with Elsa, that I've been taking her to see Brandy ever since. She's so kind and gentle and does a great job on her "schnauzer cut".

LOVE LOVE LOVE Carol & our obedience classes! My Bernedoodle is a puppy and these classes have helped & have been monumental for my little man to obey and listen. I'm grateful and can't wait to sign him up for his next series of classes. He's enrolled in the puppy classes now, next up is intermediate! Worth it! Thank you, Carol! You're a rockstar! *The class is hands on! Show up, be prepared and make sure you follow directions. Practice at home and train your pup! Worth it!

Nestor is very talented and we're very pleased.

I tried for 45 minutes to load my K9 into my car and she decided she was NOT GOING. I have never experienced this with my dog. I called the veterinary to let them know I couldn't get my dog into my car. They recommended I call Paws& Claws NV. They sent me a link and they were at my home within 35 minutes. This was a total cold call. They came and of course my dog was excited to meet new friends so she got up. Kenneth & Emery came and actually picked up my poor dog and put them into their dog/cat ambulance. My dog peed in their vehicle because she was scared but they had no problem and were not upset with me more so, they were not upset with my elderly dog. I'm physically unable to do what I used to and to have these people come and pick up my stubborn K9. . The pure guilt I feel for not being able to transport the most loved breathing critter in my life fills me with guilt. This duo of angels were here to help in our time of greatest need. I love my dog so much but am physically unable to get her out of this house because of her ailments and my own. The ambulance was pretty, clean the couple of handlers were all smiles and seriously could not have been nicer. I will always call them from now on and I I'm sure thankful they were available today. I can just make an appointment with them the same time I make an appointment for the love of my life, my sweet rescue dog. Don't hesitate to call paws & Claws NV. I swear they are angels especially to come at the last minute. I wish Paws & Claws the best always and hope they grow to be the huge company they deserve to be! Being disabled is so difficult for owner and pet. Having a lovely couple come last minute to help in the time of absolute emotional distress is PRICELESS!!! Please never hesitate to call them and if you're unable to get your sweetest earth angel from one place to another, call Paws & Claws. I swear , my dog never has to take the back of the line now that I truly have help. It's a terrible feeling to not being able to get your best friend the care they need. The prices is exactly in line with transportation for a human going back and forth to a Dr apt or day surgery. I joked with them and asked if I could have them pick me up after my next day surgery. I love this company so much! Do NOT hesitate to call them. They take credit cards and will send a link to your cellphone so the money was very easy for me to figure out,

NOT A PLACE FOR LARGE BREEDS…read more I took my two dogs here today and I am honestly appalled by how they run this. I took my boys here because their usual daycare is closed on sundays. I have a husky and a golden Retriver both around 1 years old. They are extremely active. On NO daycare days they require AT LEAST 3 to 4 hour of outside playtime at dog park or hike. Not including all the training, interactive puzzles we do on a daily basis to keep them stimulated. A half day here is 5 hours or less. They do an hour in yard then hour of independent play in separate room... that is the default. So I'm paying for 5 hours of play for maybe 3 hours. But I checked on camera every 30 minutes for the 4 hours they were there and never saw them... They explained the one hour on and one hour off is to make sure other dogs don't get overstimulated. Which I completely understand and respect. But I feel that it should be assessed which dogs need time away not forcing two very hyperactive dogs to stop playing because of that policy. I did mention this to staff they said they said they will put a note in their file to keep them in yard. Which I appreciate. But I honestly don't think I would go back. I think this is a place more for senior or small dogs to socialize. Not large breeds at all. The staff was friendly I just wish that wasn't the default policy. I work night shift and my boys NEED to be tired by the end of the day and I feel this is just not the place to accommodate that.

This camp does not separate dogs by size, so small dogs share space with big dogs. My yorkie sustained serious injuries. He had to have costly surgery, and although it's been well over six months, he's still recovering from this accident. It's sad to watch him struggle to simply walk. And he still cannot run. He use to love playing fetch. Bottomline, if you have a medium or large dog, I would recommend this place. But if you have a small dog, you might want to reconsider. My pup might be the first small dog to get injured in their care, I guarantee he won't be the last.

I booked the Luxury Suite because I wanted her to be comfortable. I also added the "Daily Report Card" to get daily photos and updates. She's 12 years old and we just rescued her last March so we were really worried about leaving her with just anyone. I saw the high reviews on google and yelp so I chose LV Dog Resort II. Staff was really friendly. I called to check up on Mochi once and they did answer my call and assured me she's coping well - that put my mind at ease. I appreciated how nice and friendly they were. There are three things that bothered me a little though: 1) On their website, it stated "We are so confident and committed to providing such a high level of service that we invite you to tour the facility any day between 9 am - 3 pm. Transparency is our middle name!" A few days before our trip, we dropped by to see the rooms but we were told that they don't do tours anymore. If it is for the safety of the dogs, I completely understand but maybe update the website? I was advised to do the virtual tour on their website, which I did and that was cool. I still wish I was able to see the upstairs rooms though to get an idea of how clean they keep their rooms. 2. I paid extra for the "Daily Report Card" which really made me happy to see her photos. However, for some days they only uploaded 2 pictures. Some shots were blurred and really close up. Some days would have the description of her demeanor which was really nice but not all days had that. We only had them on Wednesday and Thursday. I would've loved to get some more context too like "She ate breakfast. Went out for a walk around ___ time." Would've loved to get photos of her room too but the pictures were really close-up. Special shout-out to Mariah for providing 10 photos on Sunday. That made me really appreciate her. It was so nice to see our dog from different angles. She did such a good job! Grace and Jessica gave the description of her demeanor on Wednesday and Thursday. Thank you for that! 3. I chose the Luxury Suite because of the description and the photo on the website. It stated on the website "Our luxury suites provide all of the basic amenities to keep your dog as comfortable as possible and feeling right at home during his/her stay. Each suite is stylishly decorated, as you would expect in a 5-star hotel." Since we did not get to see her room when we dropped her off, we had no idea what to expect but I hoped that it would match the website description. From the uploaded photos of the Daily Report Cards, the room and her bed looked nothing like the website. I think the Royal Suites and Pawhouse Suites matched the website (those rooms are on the first floor so we could see them) but unfortunately, the Luxury Suite did not look anything like the website at all. -- Our dog was fed and I was happy that on one of our Daily Reports, I saw that she was taken to go outside to pee and poop. The staff was very friendly and nice. I just wish we knew what the Luxury Suite really looked because maybe I could've upgraded her to the Royal Suite or something. I also hope the Daily Report Card photos would have more context and have the same amount of photos as what Mariah did. It really helps pet owners feel less worried.

But after the third visit, my dog came home injured and passed out for the entire night, which I don't think is very healthy. I got mixed responses on why he might have come home with a limp that lasted about 4 days in the end. It made me think that they weren't watching the dogs properly and there's very little down time for these dogs. Since I can't trust them to watch my dog and make sure that he doesn't get hurt, we've moved on to another place. By the way I've been to several other daycares in town and this never happened so having it happen on only day three of coming here is pretty concerning. Plus it should probably be a red flag that any place charges extra for you to watch what's happening on a webcam so you know what's happening at this place. That would have been very helpful for me to understand what happened to have to keep my dog at home for 5 days to recover.
