    A very filling Meatball Sandwich
    Michelle M.

We're visiting Boston, and we found this hole in the wall diner to grab a quick bite near our hotel. My Sicilian pizza was large, tasty, and filling. My husband didn't expect his meatball sandwich to taste so good. He said the bread was awesome too. My son, who already had a quick bite earlier opted for a blueberry muffin. They grilled and buttered it, and it was amazing! It's been here since 1982, and locals who work in the area seem to like it as well. It was full when we walked in to order, and now they are back to work.

Great foot and efficient service. I got the seafood linguine and there was more seafood especially lobster than linguine. The fish and chips were huge and my son said it was the best fish and chips he has had. My other son had the mac and cheese lobster and it was good but not great. The location is nice and the inside had the nautical vibe.

Wanted some seafood, but were told no lunch on Veterans Day, only breakfast. And no seafood of any kind for breakfast, not even fish. Don't come if you really want seafood, might not have on holiday. The Pete's special wasn't that special anyway

Kinda tricky to find with all of the surrounding construction. Looks like it's attached to a warehouse. They serve breakfast, lunch and even pizza by the slice. Really friendly service. Small seating area. Fairly quick service and reasonable prices. Food was good. Haddock from the fish sandwich was a pretty nice size and crispy/cooked to perfection.

Most definitely not a tourist trap. This North Boston establishment is located in an industrialized neighborhood where it seems blue collar workers like to frequent for a satisfying lunch. My friend and I were very hungry so we both got the seafood platter that included fried haddock, shrimp, and scallops with fries and slaw. The batter on all the items was so light and flakey it didn't feel heavy after finishing it. The dining area is not super fancy but it's not supposed to be. I really got the sense this was an authentic meal locals get and the staff were very polite.

Where can you have breakfast for two for $20.00 and free parking while you eat in the Boston Seaport district? Pete's Dockside! Order your food at the counter at this no-frills eatery. Don't let the hole in the wall by a loading dock setting turn you away. The cheese omelet was cooked well as requested; the bacon, eggs, and toast were as expected and the home fries were delicious. The servers were friendly and took the orders expeditiously. We'll have to come back for pizza; it looked delicious!

This little gem is kinda tucked in a corner we almost missed it. Food was delicious and the portions are big. The ambiance is like eating at a dockside diner, the staff is friendly. And the service is quick.

    Blueberry pancake, only $1.25!!

Ironically, I discovered Pete's Dockside on my last day living in Seaport. It's definitely in a random location compared to the actual neighborhoody part of the neighborhood, but that makes it a hidden gem. It seems the most frequent patrons are the construction workers who work nearby. The menu is surprisingly broad--I ordered a few things, including eggs and a pancake (which was huge). This is more homestyle food, so don't expect any "artisinal" fruit preserves and such here, but you know that is not the vibe here so it's not a problem. My blueberry pancake was only $1.25, which is totally unbelievable to be in/near Seaport! A lady brought my order out to me once it was ready; I actually didn't realize in the beginning that they had table service. Word to the wise: The hot water dispenser for tea is like scalding, melt-ya-skin-off-for-real level hot, so be careful! The friendly guy behind the register warned me about that, which I appreciated. I hope Pete's stays around for a long time.

Went for breakfast but missed the window! 11am. Instead had an early lunch and it was fantastic. Grilled Haddock Mashed potatoes and gravy on the side Steamed vegetables Serving for an army and the price was $20 for plate and bottled soda. Easily could have split/shared. It is hard to find but we kept going passed the dock area and discovered a stair well on the corner. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

We tried 4 different types and every single one tasted super fresh, clean, and just really high quality. You can tell they know what they're doing here, even the way they shuck it is nice and clean, no shell pieces or anything. Their menu actually has like 10+ kinds of oysters, highly selective and premium. I really wish we had more time (and stomach space) to try more. But we already had like 3 dinners planned that night lol so this was more like a "stop by and eat as much oysters as possible" situation. Honestly I'm pretty sure the other food here is just as good, based on what I saw on other tables. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Boston.

(I'm certain the staff are aware that many of their diners express shock, once the price is disclosed...) Many folks simply make an assumption or a guesstimate, as to the price, when they see 'MP' on a menu, and this is usually based upon their prior experiences, ordering such a menu item. So, for example, I was thinking the lobster roll might be in the $40-45 range. So imagine my utter shock, when we received the bill, to see a charge for $69?? I have never in my life had such an expensive lobster roll. Yes, it was delicious, and the housemade potato chips were also great. The slaw was also good (though it was a very tiny amount...I would have liked more). But boy, did that price shock me. I would normally never have voluntarily ordered a $69 lobster roll. It simply never would have occurred to me, that a place would ever charge that much....

Given the choice, however, I now prefer the modern, polished, almost clubby feel of this location in the Seaport. The restaurant isn't particularly large, but it's a beautifully designed space. For larger groups, they have a few round tables that work especially well, including one that perfectly accommodated our party of seven. You can always count on a great dining experience at any of Chef Jamie Mammano's restaurants. His commitment to the highest quality chow, attentive service, fine wines, and an elegant atmosphere has made him one of Boston's most respected restaurateurs. Our meal here was spectacular. The cocktails were perfectly crafted, and it's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. Standout starters included the Wagyu Beef Dumplings, Tuna Tartare, and the Dry-Aged Bolognese Lumache. For entrées, we shared several different cuts of steak, all expertly prepared and presented sliced for the table. The Beef Wellington is also fantastic here. The sides are uniformly excellent, but don't miss the Char-Roasted Heirloom Carrots with Honey and the Yukon Gold Potatoes. Desserts are equally impressive. Highly recommend both the Milk & Cookies and the Bananas Foster. I'd like to especially thank our waitress, who provided exceptional service and helped make the evening truly special. We were celebrating my son's graduation, and her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail enhanced what was already a memorable occasion. I also appreciated the excellent service from their new sommelier. Mooo continues to set the standard for the modern Boston steakhouse experience. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The reservation process was easy and a group of 5 was easily accommodated on the day and time requested. We arrived together after a short walk from the office. Bonus points to Moooo for not only having complimentary coat check, but also safe bag storage knowing much of their clientele on a weeknight is in transit from the office to home. Please people, don't forget to tip the coat check girls, it is only the right thing to do. Seated at our table the restaurant was initially fairly empty, but filled up nicely while we are already enjoying cocktails, wine, and appetizers. The long bar followed by tables of various sizes filled the restaurant, but it never was too loud and there was plenty of space between tables that you did not feel like you were sitting on top of each other or listening to their conversation more then the person across from your own table. Like most fine dining experiences, the complimentary rolls were served warm and lathered in melted butter. Sinful!. We ordered several appetizers for the table to share including tuna tartare which was very tasty and recommended. I also recommend the Japanese wagyu beef dumplings which were both delicate and savory. Lastly, the calamari was crispy and hot with the right amount of heat from the lemon and herb aioli. To accompany the entrees we ordered the broccolini, Yukon gold potatoes and the highly recommended tater tots. The only issue we had was with the tots which we collectively thought were both slightly over cooked and tasted "different". Said another way, I have never had a tater tot that didn't leave me wanting to eat them one after another until they were all gone, but this one was more than enough and more than 3/4 of the serving was left for the bus-person. Three of us ordered the 8oz Omaha filet which were cooked to perfection and delicious. Why is there not a 12 oz offering like most steak houses? Literally mine looked like it was 4 oz on the large, stark white plate when served. Thankfully being cooked to a perfect medium rare and accompanies by a bordelaise sauce which is also a rarity to find offered, was a treat. The prime New York sirloin and prime ribeye were equally cooked perfectly and delicious. We passed on dessert or after dinner drinks, but certainly enjoyed our visit. I have eaten at the Beacon Hill location previously, but this was my first experience in the seaport, but it won't be my last.

I had been craving fish tacos for a really long time, and I was delighted to find a whole section of the menu dedicated to them. We started off with margaritas - one of the best companions to fish tacos - and I ordered mine spicy with jalapeño. For food, we shared the lobster empanadas and chorizo and potato taquitos. I ordered the tempura fish tacos for myself. Our margaritas were brought out shortly - mine was refreshing but lacked the kick from the jalapeño that I was hoping for (there was only one thin slice of pepper). Our food was brought out shortly, and I found it a bit overwhelming when our appetizers and tacos came out together. I started with my tacos, and these were excellent. The fish was flaky and fried to perfection, and I loved the rainbow of sauces and toppings. Plus, the tortillas were nice and sturdy and didn't tear. The lobster empanadas were super decadent, and I appreciated the substantial amount of lobster stuffed inside. I was too full to eat much of the taquitos but took a few bites. These also had good flavor but weren't standouts. The Seaport space is just as stunning--decked out in pink, super aesthetic, and definitely a fun, photo-worthy vibe. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. For drinks, I ordered a pitcher margarita with jalapeño, and it was disappointing. It didn't taste fresh and came across more like artificial jalapeño flavoring rather than real infusion--and it wasn't spicy at all. For food, we ordered a variety of small plates to share. Everything was decent, but nothing really stood out. It felt a bit underwhelming compared to the atmosphere. The biggest issue was the service. It was very slow throughout the night, and getting the check was especially frustrating--it took about 30 minutes, and we had to ask multiple times before finally receiving it.
