Maggie loves to visit the store!

Maggie is a lovely gal who won't let mom trim her nails ‍ I bring her to the grooming salon and they do a fabulous job with her! She hops right up on the table for them now, but when we first started coming and she was still a bit nervous the groomer would have an extra person come stand next to Maggie and help talk to her and keep her calm while her nails were getting buffed. Fabulous service and wonderful people. Maggie's gives them five of five tail wags

We came in for grooming services (a few times now). The first time we came in we made an apt with a woman who we thought did a great job grooming our Bichon at a different location. Bichons are typically groomed a specific way and can look like a poodle if not groomed correctly. When we arrived we were told the woman we booked wasn't working and someone else would do the grooming. Long story short, she didn't groom him properly and we were very unhappy. We received a survey afterwards and I filled it out honestly. The store manager responded to our concerns and refunded our visit. We returned to give them a second shot and our pup was groomed by Brandis (I believe she is the manager in charge of the grooming services). She knew exactly what we wanted and did a fantastic job! While our first experience wasn't ideal, I think this could happen to anyone and was very pleased with how they handled the situation.

You know, some groomers have done some pretty erroneous things to my dog. But SASKIA, what you've done is downright egregious!!!!!!!!!!! We asked for a simple trim of his BEARD, and I got a dog with no ears. My dog is 7 years old and I have never seen his ears. Saskia, if you had done a simple google search of Maltese, you likely won't find one picture of one without hair on their ears. Then she left all this hair on the top. He looks crazy! Pissed doesn't even cover how I feel. I am so upset. Honestly she needs to be retrained. She will never touch my dog again. Beware.

First the location is remote and the grounds are very well kept. There are plenty of training areas outdoors, space to run around, as well as a splash pad pool area for pups to swim and play. Training classes were both hybrid indoors and outdoors and Briana is truly amazing at what she does. She has the best approach when it comes to training your dog and I love how thorough and informative she is. Almost every session you attend, at some point you have to demonstrate in front of the class things that you've been working on with your dog. What I love about Briana is if you do something incorrectly she does not make you feel bad, she simply corrects, redirects and then compliments once it's done right. Luna loved going to "school" and learning new things as well as playing with other dogs after the training classes were over with for the day. These classes were so important and really helped us better understand her and furthermore I think she loved wanting to learn as well. We have seen such improvement in her demeanor and behavior and will continue to reinforce what we've learned at Dog Joy. We hope to sign Luna up for more classes in the future.

Owners were confused and just zapped away without proper training and guidance, I pulled my dog out immediately. If you truly love your dog, and want to learn proper communication, consider positive reinforcement. The only situation I 'maybe' consider this is a pup with aggressive behavior. Otherwise, I would NEVER recommend this type of training. NEVER.

The owner does need to be diligent with taking their dog to the trainings (we kind of fell off at the end but it was okay) but as long as you stick with it, your dog will learn new skills and will be better behaved than before. We can literally walk our dog without a leash now, I never thought that would be possible. She will sit in her place when people come over and we are always getting compliments on how good she is. We can do things in the front yard and have her stay in the garage and she won't run after other dogs that walk by or other other people or children. She has learned to stay in her place for as long as we need her to be. It's funny because she was a really wild dog before and now that she's trained everybody loves her. overall the training here was worth it and we are really happy that we did it!

When I picked her up, she was limping, and since that day she has not returned to normal: she does not walk, bark, or play, and her behavior has changed drastically. What concerns me even more is that, according to the staff, there is no evidence of the supposed incident that caused this situation. On top of that, my dog showed signs of having been medicated without my authorization. Customer service has been terrible. The secretary, Emilie, demonstrated a lack of professionalism by interfering with my communication with the manager, acting as if she owned the place. The way this case has been handled gives the impression that they are hiding information instead of providing clear solutions. My dog went from being a happy pet to a sad one with mobility problems after being under their care. For these reasons, I absolutely do not recommend this daycare: they showed a lack of transparency, responsibility, and proper care for my pet.

She has excellent dog skills but lots of people can say that. What she also has are excellent people skills and a lot of enthusiasm and energy that she brings to the table every single lesson. She makes dog training FUN incorporating games, competition, and rewards that can be traded in for prizes to practice the skills that you are working on.
