Love this local pet supply store! Everyone is so friendly and they are always hosting rescue cats and dogs for adoption events. For Christmas they are taking donations for local shelters and having their Pound for Pound Challenge to help local rescues with food all year long. So glad when we moved there was a Tomlinson's near by. Talk about consistent friendly customer service. SO helpful with helping me choose adult food since our puppy grew out of puppy food. They grow so fast. They recommended a healthy chewer-they have already gone thru it. lol. And new kibble to put onto the new dog food. Complimentary too! This store is great if your looking for natural options for your pet. Their prices are a little high but like most things that comes with higher quality items. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and the stores are always very clean. The do offer curbside pickup as well which is super convenient. read more

Very good locally owned pet store. This store carries high quality food and supplies for both cats and dogs. Tomlinson's as a reward program that gives you a pretty good discount what does MP on a regular purchase and didn't even bigger discount if you buy a case of food at a time. I have always found their customer service to be excellent basically saying if you don't agree. They are knowledgeable and friendly. The first time I went to the store, I was happily overwhelmed with all of the wonderful things that they have that you don't find another stores, such as fabulous cookies for our fur babies, these are quality , human grade cookies without any harmful ingredients for the doggies. And , they're not very expensive; they're 3.99 average. My dog, Lady, absolutely loves them! While I was there, I noticed that they do not carry the food that my dog likes to eat, so I asked them, can you order this food for me? The people who work there were so nice, they looked it up on their computer and asked the manager if they could purchase it, that was two weeks ago. Today, I went back into the store to get my Lady a cookie! The person who works there saw me, and said Laura, right?? We got your food! I was so happily surprised! Now I have a resource to get her special food. I also bought a couple pumpkin treats that I'm anxious for her to try. I will be visiting the store regularly! Thank you very much!! read more

This is a very cute pet store, their stuff is pretty pricey but the people working there are awesome and we got a squeaky ball made out of recycled materials that was 30% off and some chews from their bins which my dogs inhaled. I also got a treat that was a replacement to toothpaste and a toothbrush for dental care. Seems like they have a little bit of everything, even a small freezer full of raw bones and primal pet food. They do offer a discount on their pet food if you order on a subscription basis, we already do auto ship otherwise I would have gone for that as well. read more

Great natural pet supply store. They somehow always seem to have the dog food we need in stock - most other places don't carry the brand and type of dog food we want (Tucker's frozen patties), or if they do, the flavor we need somehow tends to be out of stock more often than anything else (which is important for us because our dog has food sensitivities). They are also significantly cheaper here than the place we used to get them at when we lived in California, and the discount that comes with the membership is an extra plus. We haven't bought anything else there yet, so I'm not sure how the pricing is for other products compared to other similar stores. But the facilities are clean and organized and the staff are always friendly and love to greet furry visitors! read more

I already knew Tomlinson's was great (High quality brands, kind staff and they have kitties from Wilco Shelter for adoption!) But when we had an incident with a high-end brand of food, i knew they were impeccable. I walked in with my dog's food asking questions around it's coloring and what to do - immediately they safely discarded the bag and notified it was mold, followed to remove any remaining bags of the food in their store with a similar lot # and called the manufacturer. They provided us with a full refund, the bag was half-ate! And suggested we file a complaint with the manufacturer - we did, and we received all of our vet bills paid by the manufacturer because they also had reported the issue. Albeit this is rare, and not fun - they were swift to respond and kind in the process helping me through the store find what would be right for our pup! read more

The staff are super knowledgeable and always very welcoming to any of my foster pups I bring in, hard to walk out without spending $100+ as I find something new each time I go! I tried to purchase online for curbside pickup and it wouldn't allow me to use my pet partner discount, so thankfully the girls were able to accommodate me by placing a phone order, honoring my pet partner discount, and allowed me to use curbside (I would've gone in but I had all 3 small pups in the car). read more

Small, overpriced chain pet store with extremely limited selection of anything but dog bones, which I assume is their primary seller since they put them at dog level. I asked for unflavored dog treats (for a hamster to chew on) and they were confused and didn't have any. I asked for hamster chews, and they had exactly 5 options, all from Kaytee, which is the cheapest, crappiest brand of small pet stuff you can find, and they charged $6 for a small bag of chews. The staff were mostly polite, if completely unenthusiastic, but the guy stood RIGHT NEXT to my dog (as in touching her) as she begged for attention, and almost refused to pet her until I said something about it, then said something about his own dogs getting jealous when he gets home. If that's really a concern, why in the world is the guy working for a pet store!? Go local or go Petsmart or Petco or whatever, but don't go here. Pointless place altogether, and I really don't understand all the positive reviews. read more

Round Rock location. l purchase food for my fur babies exclusively from Tomlinson's and have been a customer for over 20 years. On Sunday, October 2, 2022, l purchased over sixty dollars worth of dog food plus bulk dog biscuits that my fur babies request. Upon arriving home and unloading my purchases I found that the almost $13 of the biscuits and sleeve of Optagest Digestive Aid for my elder precious fur baby was not in my bag. I phoned the store and arranged for "delivery" of the items for the following Monday. This morning I returned the call that I missed at 7:30 a.m. only to find that the items WOULD NOT be delivered as their delivery area had been changed to include "more" of Leander and less of Georgetown where I live and had had deliveries made on two prior occasions. I was given two options, either pick the products within the next week or receive a refund. I was totally shocked as one, I only travel outside of the Georgetown area maybe once per month and only for dog food. If the dog food I feed my precious fur babies was sold elsewhere within 15 miles my residential area, I would absolutely change where I buy it. It seems that righting errors made by employees is becoming less and less important to Tomlinson's no matter if you are a long term customer or a new one, which distressing and very sad. read more

I bring my pup here almost every week. They carry my brands of grain free cat and dog food, also treats, toys, and all the other supplies you'd expect. As soon as we pull in to the shopping center, my puppy knows where we are and starts her excited crying. One of the store clerks described Tomlinson's perfectly as "the dog candy store" :) which fits well because we usually get a few marrow bones while we're there. read more

The staff aren't very friendly,I've been in several times and never get a welcome greeting,and hardly get asked if I need help with something. Their products are great but there prices a very high! There toys are doubled in mark up. I have found better prices online. UPDATE: the owner personally apologized and assured me that the issue of costumer service would be addressed. I am beyond thrilled to announce that my Tunechi boy got his very first teeth cleaning today and it went so well! Tunechi is normally quite fearful of men...& while initially a little nervous about going back with the doggy dentist - he came out at the top of his game & in great spirits! He had made friends with the doggy dentist and had a successful teeth cleaning! We will be going back in six months for his follow up. Was in the are today and thought I'd stop in for some Whimzee dog chews for our pups. They charge 50% above any other place. Get with the program guys and price match. What happened? Just 5 years ago the 49 1/2 st location had excellent prices and their pet club was actually worth it, even if it was $15 a year. To boot, they stopped selling the cat food my mom used to buy here. I took my food sensitive pup to Tomlinson's to see if I might find a birthday treat that would not make him sick. There were birthday cookies and they had a binder of all of the ingredients. Ok, I'm totally confused. I visited Tomlinson's to find food for my babies. I have a German Shepherd that is allergic to virtually everything - been through extensive allergy testing and I have a list of foods to avoid. I cannot buy something simply because it is a name brand pet food that the clerk recommends - have to read labels!!! I also have a German Shepherd puppy - not quite a year old. I want to start the process of switching her food from puppy to adult food. I have had German Shepherds for many years and I know the breed. Her Veterinarian (30+ years of experience) and her breeder (again, 30+ years of experience) have told me it's ok to slowly start changing her food. My problem and confusion come in here - the girl I was trying to talk to, gave me a lecture about big dogs, she actually argued with me that you CANNOT change food on a large breed puppy until well after a year. First off, you don't argue with a customer then - EXCUSE ME??? I'm supposed to ignore qualified professionals that I have known and trusted for many years and take the word of a clerk in a Pet Store who argues with me (I think because she was clueless and my questions didn't fit any planned speech she had seen). read more

One of our Aussies is a senior dog with early stage kidney issues. The staff at Tomlinsons in Round Rock helped us put together a plan to meet his nutritional needs, including kibble made with human grade ingredients, high quality canned food, a dehydrated meat and vegetable mix, and supplements of goat's milk and pumpkin. Not only does he seem to feel much better, but he has also lost several pounds and is, for the first time in years, at his ideal weight.
