I am genuinely stunned by how we were treated at this location, and particularly by an employee named Rachel. We brought our dog, Pippin, in for his appointment with our children in tow. During check-in, we were told his vaccination records needed to be emailed from our veterinarian. Fine -- I immediately called the vet and was placed on hold while trying to get exactly what PetSmart was asking for. Apparently, being on hold with another business was taking too long for Rachel. Instead of showing even basic patience or professionalism while I actively tried to resolve the issue, Rachel was extraordinarily rude, condescending, and openly hostile toward us. I was standing there juggling my phone, our children, and trying to comply with her request while being spoken to in a way that was so unnecessarily nasty that I was nearly in tears. We weren't yelling. We weren't causing a scene. We weren't refusing to provide anything. We were literally trying to do what she told us to do. Despite that awful beginning, we remained polite, Pippin stayed for his service, we were told that he did great, and we even tipped. Imagine our surprise, then, when we attempted to book again and discovered that Rachel had apparently placed us on a DO NOT BOOK status. For what, exactly? Our dog wasn't reportedly aggressive. We weren't told that he behaved badly. We weren't abusive to staff. We didn't refuse to pay. We didn't create a disturbance. In fact, we left believing that, aside from Rachel's astonishingly poor treatment of us at check-in, everything had gone well. I called the store after discovering the ban, hoping there had been some misunderstanding. Unfortunately, my interaction with Rachel only reinforced my impression of how she communicates with customers. If there is a legitimate, documented reason that Pippin cannot safely be serviced, I am completely willing to hear it. His safety and the safety of employees matter to me. But if a customer can be quietly blacklisted because an employee became irritated that obtaining veterinary records at her request took longer than she wanted, that is an alarming way to run a business. I have rarely encountered someone in a customer-facing position who made me feel so unwelcome while I was actively trying to cooperate with them. Management should review exactly what happened here, including who authorized the do-not-book designation, what reason was documented for it, and whether that reason is consistent with what the grooming staff actually observed and told us about Pippin. We were kind. We complied. Our dog did well. We paid. We tipped. And somehow we walked away banned. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

She dumped all the contents from the basket on to the belt and started slamming items. If you check cameras, you literally can see me flinching because it was so unexpected. Don't know what was up. Today, 06/16/2026, I had my Lab and English Springer Spaniel in the grooming salon for a bath and haircut. The Spaniel came back with issues but I accepted it. The Lab however, I could not accept because of the poor haircut. There were streaks down here back where the clippers did not overlap leaving slightly hair creating the streaks. The back of her head and neck area was irregularly cut. Her chest area irregularly cut. The young lady that brought out the Lab and the slightly older lady told me it was because of the coat on labs. Also, my lab kept wanting to sit down. The older lady did tell me that I did not need to bring my lab back again. The previous time rendered similar issues. What is frustrating about this, is that I have used the Gtown store for probably 7 years. I know they can do better work because they have in the past. Beware of the quality of service at this store because they will probably give you a story if you complain. read more

I took my dog into PetSmart, Georgetown, Texas today for grooming. I had taken the dog in yesterday for a flu shot, and for a rash. The person that was sitting at the reception desk in the grooming salon was nasty arrogant, and it was obvious that she didn't want to be there at her job If They treated me that way, imagine how they would treat my dog when I am not there. The arrogant 27-year-old first looked at my dog and says what's wrong with my dog, then we had forgotten the latest rabies documentation. She said she couldn't take the dog unless it was up-to-date and she had a copy. I asked her if she would mind Contacting my veterinarian and we could get that information. She said not likely because the veterinarians won't give the information out. I called the veterinarians office and ask if she would give the rabies information and I could give it to their receptionist. The receptionist said, no I need to talk to her. I handed the phone she asked about the rabies then she started asking about my dog condition, etc. etc. and I thought the hell is she doing sticking her nose in my dog business, she had enough problems just conducting her own I asked her if I could see the manager and she pointed across the way that's her she stated. Since we had been using this PetSmart for somewhere between seven and eight years, we knew who she was and I asked her I said did you listen to that? She said yes, and she started talking and talking defending the the employee, never once letting me say a word. Finally, I had to ask her to please be quiet and I will stay by concerns and I told her that in dealing with customers it's always nice if you listen to what the customer says first and what they're wants and needs might be and then you can answer them appropriately, but all you start doing is talking nothing it's accomplished, she told me to get the hell out. I said are you kicking me out? she said yes get out now. Remind you this girl is probably 25 years old and we have been bringing our pets to this PetSmart location when she was still in grade school. I said you're really going to tell me to leave and she said yes and I got pissed. I asked her what kind of a cupcake she was and she said all kinds and kicked me out. The younger generation today has no respect for the customer, no respect for other people, and are so self-centered that you would think there should be a light coming down from heaven because they are so special I talked to the manager, and she apologized and said that there wasn't much she could do because corporate won't let them terminate them and there aren't that many groomers available. Well, there aren't that many customers either so if you read this, I understand that if they treat a customer the way they treated me beware of How they're treating your dog. Took our dogs here to get groomed for years. Not sure what has happened recently but the service is terrible. Spoke to Vanessa the manager and she could be the problem. However to speak to her manager I was told to put a complaint in online or call into the customer service number. Once I do that they will see it, send it to her, she will review it and call me back to discuss. Explains a lot of why this place has taken a turn for the worse. Georgetown PetSmart has an issue with pricing. What they advertise on the shelf is not what is being rung up at the register. I've had to get refunds a few times because they charged me more than what is advertised and these are not sale prices just everyday prices. This last time it took 2 cashiers to try and figure out how to refund and it went on for about 10 minutes. They gave me some cash back but not the tax that I paid. They couldn't figure the tax even after I told them how to calculate it. I just gave up and left. I'm done with this store and the way they try and take your money. read more

I no longer shop here. The staff are too busy to help - and they ARE under staffed with one very chatty cashier. Also, their picking cart for customer orders is too small to fit down the isles so I don't feel like I can really shop and look at everything- always in the way here. I have changed my review from a 1 star to 3 stars after a representative from PetSmart reached out to me and helped me regarding all of my concerns. My rating would be a 5 star for the representative who dealt with me, but I decided to keep it at 3 as it is representing my PetSmart experience as a whole. After explaining what happened, and submitting vet bills, I was quickly reimbursed. The checks were sent to the location, and when I arrived to pick them up, I noticed a change in the attitude from the store manager. She was respectful and professional when passing me my checks, which was a change in attitude from our last interaction. PetSmart reached out to me after I wrote a 1 star review, and seemed genuinely concerned about my pet and experience at the store. They checked on my bird over the next few weeks, and stayed in contact to try and remedy the situation and lessen the frustration I had from my purchasing experience. Been there multiple times and once a 3 hour grooming took 6 hours, which is very stressful to a dog kept in a cage. The second time my groomer was a no show. So waited for another groomer that could take my dog. Some staff are rude and entitled, like they are doing g you a favor. So in my experience it's a 30 percent chance you get good service and a 70 percent chance you will get very very sub optimal service and treatment. read more

I just wanted a wash and nail trimming for my dog. I suppose I did get that. You could say the wash and nail trimming went fine. It's just that what came after was horrible and unforgivable. We can agree that many people are scent-sensitive, right? And we can also agree that dogs have particularly acute senses of smell, right? These are known things that are not in dispute. So why would PetSmart spray freshly-washed dogs with powerful stink juice? I went to pick up my freshly-washed dog and he smelled like toxic chemical waste. (Understand that we're scent-sensitive and in our house, we don't use perfumes or scented soaps or ANYTHING with an artificial odor. It's repulsive to us, and we're not that different from MILLIONS of other humans all over the planet. And by the way, hello - DOGS ARE EXTREMELY SCENT-SENSITIVE TOO!) So why does PetSmart think it's okay to take a freshly-washed dog and coat him in the most repulsive stink imaginable? It took way too long, but I was able to get them to (mostly) wash out the stink. But I should never have had to go through that, and my poor dog should never have been subjected to such odiferous cruelty. (Imagine what my dog was thinking: "What did I do to deserve such stinky punishment? I'm a good boy! Why do these people hate me?) PetSmart, shame on you. At the very least, if you want to coat your customers' freshly-washed dogs in toxic waste, you should ASK FIRST. "And would you care like to have Fido bathed in our patented 'Repulsive Puke Aroma' before you pick him up? There's no extra charge!" Arielle, (my pyr's groomer) was unprofessional and had an attitude the moment I dropped my pyr off. Upon picking Denali up, I paid/ gave tip prior to seeing denali. Arielle, was much more 'friendly', when she saw her tip. Upon seeing denali, she still had dirt on her head, however the rest of her body looked clean/white, but definitely not groomed. Her body fur was not evened out, nor even a trim. When asking about this-Made false statements about my dog not being cooperative. Basically just making up excuses for terrible service. Denali, is a well behaved gentle giant- there is no way, she was uncooperative and lets people do whatever, to her! I've gone to many petsmart grooming salons in Colorado and they were all GREAT. I've never had such poor service, as I did here. After speaking with another dog owner at the round rock dog park today, it sounds like she had a similar situation and the groomers will do whatever they can to get out of grooming a big fluffy dog. Will not be returning. To "rectify" the situation, Arielle had us return at 1000 (according to texts sent to phone) the next day; upon arriving, was told we were supposed to be there at 0930, as she was "fitting" us in as a "favor". She again, had attitude. We were trying to be super nice and understanding and said we could do another day, if it was too inconvenient to squeeze her in this week and she said "well, you were supposed to come at 0930 today. I'm already fully booked for the next few weeks, so regardless of what day it is. I already have to "squeeze" her in. I don't know how much I'll be able to get done since I have to fit her in". She re-booked us for 0830, the next day but just combed her out. Stayed for her grooming and watched through the window, and denali was sitting still and being very cooperative throughout the whole process. I contemplated writing this review and then began to read the other Yelp reviews and thought I, too, need to share about the terrible experience I had with my dog. We recently relocated to Georgetown from San Diego. I have been a loyal Petsmart member for years with our three pitties. I made an appt on line for one of my dogs for a nail trim. In the notes I wrote that he really doesn't like his nails done. He had a bad experience where someone had clipped the quick and he bled very badly. The quick is black and hard to see so we prefer to have a professional do it vs. us trying to do it ourselves. I also wrote that he would be coming in with a muzzle because of that. I walked in with my dog and they immediately said they could not do his nails because he was muzzled. I re-explained why I had muzzled him and took off the muzzle. He is not a mean dog by any means, he just doesn't like his nails clipped. They said I would have to reschedule the appt because the cameras already saw him come in with a muzzle. EXTREMELY frustrated, I rescheduled the appt for the following day and noticed about 4 hours later that they cancelled the appt. I called the store only for them to tell me they are refusing service on my pet because he was a SENIOR pet (he is 7). I called customer service and left a complaint. The following day the GM from that location called me. She said they have rules and I asked where are they so I could read them. Prior to our call I had searched the Petsmart website and all the small print and there is nothing that says anything about coming in with a muzzle. Clearly she did NOT care. I asked her to have her manager to call me and guess what? He never did. DO NOT GO HERE. THIS LOCATION SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. Petsmart HQ should do something. Took our pups in for Pawdicure which was a great offering. For about $25 the do clipping and grinding of nails, clean teeth and ear and give them a spritz of good smell stuff and bandana. They did a great job with our two while we waited. Took about 30-45 minutes. We will be back. read more

My dog has gone to PetSmart for grooming since he was 4 weeks old. He's now 11. Over the years their services have greatly deteriorated. Each time I bring a pet for grooming (sometimes we just do a nail trim), they have more and more excuses about why they can't provide me services. This time, they canceled my appointment because they- who schedule their own appointments- won't have time to groom him. It is their policy that he be groomed in one go because he's old and has a heart murmur. That's fine, groom him in one go. But don't cancel my appointment, which I scheduled far in advance, because you have now overbooked your groomers. Additionally, she was rude AF. She had collared my dog with their slip leash and when she decided not to groom him she just LET HIM GO. I am done with this facility. Changing the water once a week keeps the water clear. I am shocked and saddened at the conditions of their fish. I hate betta cups in general (tiny, no filter, no heater) but this pet store really disappointed me. I hope the managers will make sure that animal care is a priority in the future. Typically we take our English bulldog to another PetSmart location; but I accidentally made an appointment to this location. I dropped off my dog & about 40 minutes later got a call saying she was ready to be picked up again. Her teeth were cleaned, her nails were cut but she just wasn't cleaned properly. Especially in her private area. I called And complained & they offered to re-bathe her. I brought her in the following day & this time it took an hour, hoping they took their time this time, I checked her private area when I got in the car and it was still dirty. At this point I called back not hoping for an invite back but just to inform her that my dogs private area was not cleaned properly. Had a very disappointing and frustrating situation today at PetSmart grooming in Georgetown, TX. I had booked an appointment online, as I have done so many times before for both my dogs for grooming. Upon arrival at PetSmart grooming today (12/26/18) at 7am, I was notified that my pet required"express" service because of her age (14 years old). They were unable to take this pet because they already had another "express" appointment (my other pet) , and could only do one at a time. I was notified that I could reschedule. This is not convenient, as my scheduling of this appointment was done on my day off. It would be at least a week before I could reschedule an appointment. I cancelled the appointment for the second pet so I would not have to waste a second day dealing with grooming appointments. Why wouldn't the website notify me if f this issue? Why would the website allow me to book these appointments when they have all the information for pets? This was a total waste of my time and unacceptable. read more

We took our cat to get groomed and to have her nails filed...and we got her back like this. We were told they didn't finish the job but that she still looked good and cute, so we went to pay BEFORE we got to see her and were horrified when we got home. We were charged full price for something that we didn't want, we just wanted her to get trimmed. And even then they didn't touch her hair that was not shaved off. It's horrible, poor thing. We are going to try to talk to the manger about it, but if they just shrug their shoulders we are going elsewhere with out business. We have had our dog groomed here before, multiple times. However, the last two times they have been trying to hose us with a 'matting' fee. We pay the higher price as our dog is large, but she is never matted. She is indoor and has no tangles or anything resembling being matted. I imagine its a new extra fee they intend to charge people who wait for the coat to grow out more than an inch. We will never go back to a Petsmart that insists on nickel and diming. read more

This would be a zero star or negative one for these groomers. I made an appointment to bring in my dogs and was told that I needed to provide proof of thier rabies vaccination being current. I brought the reciept that clearly stated what date they were due 4/9/2019 but it was not acceptable to them because it was not stamped it was hand written. I understand standards but the fact that the employee was on her cell phone constantly and seemed more concerened with what was happening in her social life that in giving customer service makes me wonder what is happening while they are grooming our dogs. read more

We were referred by the other PetSmart in Cedar Park to come here because we were looking for a Red Tailed Black Shark since they didn't have any in stock. The employee helping us in the fish section was very friendly and patient not only with scooping up our new fish, but also trying to catch some very unwilling ghost shrimp as well. I didn't explore the other areas within this particular store since we were here mostly for the fish, but the layout appears just like any other typical PetSmart. I would not hesitate to come back here if I'm in the area. read more

*NOTE: This review is for a specific groomer, Lexie, and the other friendly staff at the salon* I have taken my pup to several pet grooming business in the Austin area for several years, never quite satisfied with what I get for the cost. It's to the point where I have just started grooming her myself and only going in for nail trims (still scared to do those myself!), which are usually still unsatisfying jobs for the whopping $15-20 they charge (ex: leaving cracks down to the nail bed, snags at the ends, and often drawing blood). However, I took my dog in recently for a simple nail trim and was talked into their current special of a grind, ear, and teeth cleaning for only an extra $2 by a super friendly salon staff member (Why not? It's only $2!). I have to say that I have never seen anyone handle my typically anxious dog so gently and still managed to trim her nails to the perfect length (short enough I don't have to come back within a few weeks), grind them to a pleasant rounded tip with NO snags or cracks, a good ear cleaning and teeth brushing, and at the end of it all: my dog not shaking like a maniac when she is returned to me. And all in a quick 5 minute walk-in appointment. Very satisfied and happy to write a positive review for a chain business that I would usually avoid. read more

I just picked up my dogs from the grooming salon at Petsmart in Wolf Ranch. Because it's the weekend, I was charged an extra $3 for each dog. Apparently, they do this to encourage people to come during the week. All they've encourage me to do is not ever go back. The "manager" said he didn't have the authority to adjust the price, but I could go back Monday with my receipt and talk to the real manager who might be able to help. What a load of crap. The work quality is fine, but it's not really that hard to bathe a dog. The one star is for the shoddy customer service. read more
