Please do not let AMANDA B, groom your pet. I see another complaint from a person by name Molly about a month ago and I unfortunately didn't see it and assumed all groomers are good in this location. My golden looks fairly skinny now, and terrible cut/trim. I don't think my pet had a good experience either during the salon experience and I ended up spending all my time to get him back to feel fine. I've added a couple of pictures. Very very unprofessional cut and I don't even know if his natural curls/straight hair would come back. Praying it should sooner. I'm just very upset from this experience. I don't think this groomer should get any closer to dogs with good hair. I'm heading over to the store today to raise a complaint.

After...

I took my beautiful Golden/Collie mix girl in for grooming yesterday. I've taken her here before and have chosen different groomers depending on the time that best works for me. She was groomed by Amanda B yesterday and it was the worst grooming experience ever!!!! As you can see from the photos, she simply butchered my beautiful girl!!! It was 6 hours before I got her. I guess Amanda was trying to fix her screw ups and it kept getting worse. I did get the Manager and Assistant Manager involved and they were horrified also at the terrible grooming job. The sad thing is that I still see Amanda as a groomer to choose from on their website. Whatever you do, DO NOT LET AMANDA TOUCH YOU DOG!!!!!!!

We've tried to give this location multiple opportunities and it's been a disappointment each time.... Be sure to check their pricing and your receipt! We lost $16 and they simply said there is nothing they can do about it. Did not offer any solution. Just took our money and said it was their mistake. We have also taken our dog for grooming here and always received complaints from the groomers and unfriendly service, along with up charges in service. (Our dog has done well with several other groomers.) it's disappointing because we've always been loyal to Pet Smart but we will look elsewhere now. * update Pet Smart customer service via phone call was extremely helpful and we're thankful for their quick response and support.

I brought my Boston Terrier, Ranger, to get his nails trimmed as a walk in. Morgan greeted us and was immediately so sweet with Ranger! I will definitely bring him back! Thank you so much to Morgan and the team!!

I felt like my dog was close to being finished so I went early to stand and wait and looked through the window to watch and saw the groomer HIT my dog in the face hard!!! :( The manager and I confronted the groomer who admitted to hitting my dog. I'm saddened beyond belief. PEOPLE THAT HIT DOGS DONT NEED TO WORK WITH THEM!

Will not honor pet prescriptions unless it's their banfield prescription. Absolutely absurd. Use chewy. So much better.

We went to a couple of places, one even where you can watch on an app that was closer to us, but when we went to visit the place, we did not like the "vibe" of the place. When we took a tour (just call, and they will let you take a look at the facility before hand) of Paws Landing, we immediately felt great! We had our puppy for an half day "evaluation" with Durenda, which also made us feel at ease. She is marvelous!!! When we picked her up from that, she went over everything she did, and how she thought our puppy would do. They had her in a small yard first and let our puppy feel safe before they had her with the other dogs. I really like too, how they have the dogs separated into "small dogs", " large dogs" and "very active dogs". She has a great team working with her, watching over them, and most importantly taking care of them all day. They will always send you a text and email to confirm your reservation, which is great. They go inside and outside to play all day. If they go "all day" they will get a 2-hour rest, so they get a break from all the fun! But, believe me, when you pick your dog, they will be tired when they get home, which is "good thing"! Pam will send you pictures later via text of your dog, which is great to see at the end of the day. Now, that my dog has gone for awhile, she gets excited when we get there, and she is excited to see Pam and her team when I drop her off. Look no further for a great place for "doggy day care", Pam and her team will take VERY GOOD care of them, like they were one of their own!!!

Pam is hands-on, attentive, and clearly dedicated to their care. We'll definitely return for future stays--highly recommend! I was told they hadn't even started working on my two dogs but they where about to in a little bit because they where backed up . So I call at 5:22 to see how much longer being that they close at 5:30 and was told they where still backed up and hadn't started on my dogs yet and also they would be done in a while . Ok so I don't care what the excuse is ,I have no clue if the dogs are in cages with water or have been able to use the restroom outside their cages for at least 8 1/2 ho I've avoided places like PetSmart foe this same reason . They say oh your pets just fine we have water and we walk them when in fact they don't leave their cage for like 6 hours straight and don't have water bowls either . Even with water sitting in a cage waiting to be groomed from basically 9:00 am to past 5:30 is insane . At this point I'm within reason of being upset to a certain degree . I get they are behind maybe lack help or whatever but damn if you had too many cuts lined up for one day all you had to say was sorry we are booked and left it at that . I appreciate taking my dogs in but don't understand how a small poodle and Shih Tzu take 9 hours to get groomed . Even with doing one dog an hour which i doubt is the case you'd had to have had 15-18 dogs or more all before them if you had two groomers at the least . Even if you had only 12 dogs before them that's way to much do offer to cut in the time you guys open and close . If it's not then why is taking so long?

The price was now **$77 per day--over $600 total**, even though we provide our dog's food\. When we asked them to honor the price they quoted, we were told there was **nothing they could do**, so we had to cancel\. Mistakes happen, but increasing a confirmed customer's price by more than $200 and refusing any reasonable resolution certainly **feels like bait and switch to us**\. It raises serious concerns about **transparency, accountability, and ethical business practices**\. They have lost our trust and our future business\. **I recommend looking elsewhere for a boarding facility that stands behind the prices it quotes\.**

This isn't just gross; it's dangerous. Secondhand smoke isn't only harmful to humans, it's been proven to cause serious health issues in dogs, including respiratory problems, allergies, and even cancer over time. The fact that the employees think this is acceptable shows a complete lack of professionalism, common sense, and basic compassion for the animals in their care. If they're this careless about something as obvious as keeping toxic smoke away from dogs, what corners are they cutting when no one is watching? I would never risk leaving my dog here. There are far better facilities that actually prioritize the health, safety, and comfort of the pets they're paid to protect. This place is a hard NO for any responsible pet owner.

Enter Hounds Town. Yesterday was our first day: my boy got a full day of daycare, where he was able to socialize and play with six other dogs around his size. He also got a bath (with a blow-dry and the cutest branded bandana ever, which is perfect for my obsessive dog-mom scrapbook). While I did qualify for their lovely first-visit-free promo this time around, even if I hadn't the price for both of those would have STILL been cheaper than what I usually pay for just his bath. Overall, prices are extremely reasonable and competitive with other animal care facilities in the greater Austin area, but honestly I've tried quite a few places and it just feels like you get *more* at Hounds Town. The staff clearly love animals, and their jobs. Everyone is so friendly. I really can't understate the amazing impression I've gotten of this establishment, just from the first day! My boy came back to me relaxed and happy, with no signs of stress or anxiety. They've definitely earned a regular customer in us.

Somehow, he seems younger: more energy, more interest in his surroundings, and noticeably more alert. On his walk, he had a new spring in his step (he's usually stiff after sleeping most of the day) and was focused and eager to move forward. He typically barks at strangers, but this time showed no interest--and dare I say, he even seemed better trained. At home, he wasn't food-focused in his behavior, and I truly believe he thinks he's still going to get the same level of activity and stimulation he enjoyed at Dogtopia. One of the best parts of his time there is the professional, supervised interaction with other dogs his own size. I never second-guess taking him to Dogtopia. The results speak for themselves.
