I have two dogs I bring here. 1 does the grooming because he needs fur cut and the other I exclusively use the self wash since he is a handful and only needs blow out and wash. The team is always super helpful and my dog always looks great. Price is solid. They are also great with scheduling and flexible with my schedule. Pup always seems happy and well taken care of! Self wash is great price and they have great tools for my shedding husky. Appreciate the towels ! Sometimes self can be a bit busy and hours close a bit early so just pay attention. Took my dog there for a standard grooming, and they claimed he had fleas. When I asked them to clarify, they had already "dipped" him. I asked them to stop the grooming, and he was still wet when I picked him up -- including his head. I was not given the option to pick him up and deal with the fleas in a way I was comfortable with. When I got him home, he would not open his eyes. After a visit to the vet, he has ulcers on 80% of both of his corneas from whatever they used on him. When I asked for a refund, I was told repeatedly that the groomers did not do anything. I dropped off a healthy dog and now I have a dog in pain. read more

So, the two stars are for the woman at the front who was welcoming. Originally, I had come last Sunday because my little doodle needed a bath and we had JUST gotten her a groom a week before. *she loves to sniff & roll IYKYK. They are CLOSED!? I was super annoyed. Does everyone who washes their own dog not work during the week or are kid free to come in the evenings? Sundays seem like an obvious day you'd get business. All that aside, I decided I'd give it another try this week. Voila, It's Saturday, here we came! Before we got within 20 feet of the door both my pup and I could hear the dogs tipping and barking. I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue, but we pressed on. (Maybe it was a super fun doggie dance party and they were all excited???) My girl started refusing to go in... again, I should have just turned around and called my groomer. Alas, I did not. When we opened the door we were warmly greeted by a woman who was smiling and kind but whom I could barely even hear over the obnoxious barking and high pitched squealing of almost a dozen mini yorkie and chihuahua puppies. It was NON-STOP. There was another chance where we could have just cut and run, but no. The woman was so nice and I'm a sucker for trying to not offend people, so I smiled and entered the little booth. The tubs are nice and it was pretty straight forward to go hi re out how to use the water sprayer. There's a little harness to keep the dogs from jumping around too much. I felt AWFUL for making my girl stick it out in there with all the noise. I, myself, had a hard time keeping my heartbeat regulated. The yipping was dizzying. There were two towels sitting on the gate that i used and a blow dryer that felt a bit hot but I think you could adjust it? There was no way I could have asked for help because we couldn't hear our own thoughts let alone instructions on how to use something LOL. The brush was wet and dirty from the last use. There was hair in it. Not a huge deal because it's a bit weird to use another dogs brush on your own dog, right? Or they should be clean. Anyway, I feel like it's important to note that all those dogs were NOT customers. As I was checking out I asked why they were there and said "it messed with the ambiance and experience for sure!" I was told they are the owners dogs she is trying to sell. Ha! I told her that I'm sure they could sell them faster if it was nice and quiet in there and they had a lovely wall of photos saying puppies for sale. So, that's it. My review. I hate leaving bad reviews and I'm not sure I'll go back to try and do a good follow up and add some stars: my pup and I were pretty traumatized by it all. Notes: nice lady Should be open Sundays Please clean the brushes? And for the love, it would be awesome to have more of a "spa" experience instead of feeling like we went to the puppy mill. Repeat customer here. Scheduled appt, arrived on time and I asked for the cost up front. Front office admin advised that the service package was $110 for a full package (wash, blow out & nails.) I agreed and added $10 for teeth brushing. Was quoted 3 hours. What I got: 1. Washed and de-shed (fine) 2. Nails cut but not buffed (fine) 3. No blow dry (reason stated was short staff (eg. only one groomer available.) so +1 hour to crate dry. What got me: 1.When the from admin brought my dog out, my excited pup barreled into another nice golden in the entryway. There were three people in the front area struggling to control the animals. Not unusual but while that struggle was happening the front desk admin kept asking me over and over (4 times) if I was satisfied with the services provided. It was really weird to be asked that while the struggle was happening. I had square off and tell her that I haven't had a chance to look yet. I then had my son take my dog outside so I could engage with this employee. 2. Here we go. Pay time. Surprise! This is when I got the bait and switch pricing. This front admin said that she had to charge me $140 instead of $110. No apology even though I explicitly asked what the fee would be at drop off and the only explanation from her was that my pricing was discovered in the system after the fact. Too bad for me. Thought I'd take my last review down and give them a shot to make all right. Nope. Still no call after they did nothing I asked when I took all three dogs in. Wrong haircuts. Cut ears and bleeding when I got home. When I first dropped them off, the old lady with grey hair and glasses upfront did something to my dog when she was trying to get her in the cage. I have never heard my dog yelp like that before. They will not call you back to solve the issue, but they will text you and asked if you called. What a sham business. They hire children to cut the dogs hair as well. Makes sense why not one thing I asked on all three dogs was done. Run as far as you can if you care for your dogs. Oh and not to mention to price. $360 for three Cockers to be shaven. Y'all should be hiring professionals if you're gonna charge that much. Not sure why I saw a young female (looked maybe in middle school) through door cutting dogs hair. Wild. Will be contacting this city to see what's going on with this company. I have been coming for the last several months and can say my dogs truly enjoy coming here, which is big since they are not comfortable with just anyone. My dog was traumatized and injured at Dog Wash Spa Cedar Park under new ownership .... when I took her last Tuesday June 22. She has scissor cuts around her vulva, razor burns around her ears and her bottom is strangely swollen as if she'd had puppies recently. She is fixed and never has. She acted very lost when she got home and for several days afterward. She flinches when I go to pet her on head or back area. I noticed that they had CUT HER WHISKERS OFF! I was horrified! When I brought all this to attention of the owner, she was confrontational and belittled every concern , saying that my dog had heat rash ??? I've spent the last 4 days getting Kaya to trust again. If you love your pet please stay away from this facility. A few weeks ago I was in desperate need of a grooming for my doodles and was referred to the Dog Wash Spa Cedar Park. Once arriving to the facility the staff were not welcoming nor did they interact with my doodles much. I was hesitant with leaving them after my first impression was disappointing but my doodles were in such need of a shave. First problem was they promised to have both dogs groomed within 4 hours which led to over 8 hour grooming session. I was offered free items to compensate the time lapse but nothing could prepare me for what I was about to experience in the following days. After bringing my doodles home they were not behaving their usual selves with whimpering, crying and irritability towards each other which is unusual as they are so loving especially towards each other. The whimpering carried on for several nights not understanding why; while trying to console them but with no relief. It was several days before scabs started to appear which explained why my doodles were behaving in such an unusual way. They were cut in multiple areas on their little bodies during the shave at Dog Wash Spa and was in distress which is what caused the behavior and all the whimpering. It breaks my heart that my doodles suffered those days without me knowing why and knowing how it all could have been prevented had I followed my first mind and not leave my doodles with the Dog Wash Spa. My dog (Hank) has a history of not always enjoying haircuts. We went to daycare groomer on ANDERSON MILL and 620. He traumatized Hank. We turned to DOGWASH SPA. I thought I MADE IT CLEAR that he had been mistreated. I was trying to communicate that I would like someone to be nice to Hank from here on out. I understand that no dog hardly gets excited about a haircut and we shave our dogs. It seemed like when we first started taking Hank there, we found someone that cared. The more we took Hank, the more frustrated he got when he figured out where we were going. If they were being nice to him and taking their time, this SHOULD NOT have been the case. Hank is nice. Yes, he is opinionated. Dog behavior is pretty straight forward. If they enjoy something, they get excited time after time when you communicate the concept of what we are going to do. If they DO NOT enjoy the experience, when you effectively communicate what is going to happen, they get nervous and scared. Hank always seemed like he never enjoyed it. The last 4 or 5 times we took Hank to get shaved, it seemed like there were more n more spots missed and I was getting charged more. At one point, I did request they take him back and take more hair off on his underbelly that had been missed. The groomer came out and I communicated with him about the hair. (I thought?). When he came out, Hank lunged , growled, then barked at the groomer. THAT SHOULD Have set off alarm bells because Hank doesn't normally do that with people he has already interacted with. By this point in time, I was already grooming my dog, (tater) and my mom's dog, (Toby). I noticed the difference in my dogs and Hank after the process was done. My dogs seemed like they were normal and Hank always seemed like he couldn't wait to get out of the door. I am aware that dogs act according to their environment. I observe Hank and Tater, ALOT. I listen to them express their needs. I watch a spectrum of dog trainers. I have seen miracles happen and watched sad situations of animal abuse. I understand behavioral patterns in dogs. I love my dogs and want what is best for them. I decided to try to shave Hank. The first time, I gave him some calming meds that the vet had prescribed him. NO MUZZLE EITHER!! My husband also helped me. Hank wasn't excited about it and paced while I cut his hair, I gave LOTS OF VERBAL PRAISE and ALSO gave him LOTS OF CRUMBLED treats. He seemed to get tired about 3/4 of the way done. That was ok. I let him off leash and stopped. The next time I gave him a haircut, my husband was not there. It was Hank and I. As long as I kept the treats coming and crumbled up, AND LOTS OF VERBAL PRAISE, Hank didn't seem to mind what else I was doing. When he was done, I bathed him. When he greeted my husband, he seemed excited like he was showing him the haircut. This past time, I left the ball and treats while we got a haircut. Of coarse there had to be LOTS OF VERBAL PRAISE. Hank didn't mind AT ALL. The ONLY THING was I had to keep some source of reward out if he was going to let me groom him. Again, when it was done and he was bathed, Hank was happy and showed off to my husband. Observing Hank is how I KNOW he wasn't ok!! I didn't know how bad it was until a former employee saw me. She had shaved Hank once and took her time. She ALWAYS bragged after how he calmed down AFTER she respected him demanding respect and space. Isn't that what ANY breathing being should have? Respect, empathy, and treated humanely? Now tell me again how nice you were to Hank with a straight face. Do you have video footage you can present of how nice you were to Hank when you bathed him and squirted water in his face and hit him with dryer hose? read more

Not Terrible, but not great. You get what you pay for, while they are not the cheapest we have had for our dogs, they are not the most expensive either. My husband and I dropped our two dogs off, we noticed the place was really dusty (not a huge red flag) but just noticed a build up of dust. They did do good on time (we were told 2-3 hours and they were done within 3 hours), no injury to either dog, but they were both eager to get out. Here are my pros: Cheaper in price No harm or injury As for cons: Poorly cleaned/up kept Cut is uneven on dogs (I have personally cut them better myself) The only specific thing I asked for was to cut the ears short on the smaller dog and they did not Dogs were scared and wanted to get out Left dog unattended in grooming stand (it was not our dog, but if that dog moved or tried to jump, would have strangled itself) Our larger dog was free roaming, we don't know other dogs and he is a puppy, could get into something dangerous Overall: it was not the worse but was not the best, we will not be returning, but that is due to higher standards from previous locations. Moral of the story: you really do get what you pay for. As a response to the owner: thank you for the response, however we did not need to be fit in today, we were calling for any availability and had no rush. We appreciate the quickness of being fit in, but it was not a request on our behalf. The fur is acceptable and expected, but the blanket of dust that covers the vents, walls, light fixtures, etc. can be seen as not have been clean in months, maybe even years. Also the dog free roaming as a puppy is a risk in addition the the dog left unattended on the grooming table with the leash around its neck, one slight misstep from the dog and that poor dog would have been strangled. I understand it is busy and hectic, but with us not needing a groom urgently, we would have rather have been told to wait if, as you say, Christmas week is hectic and a lower quality if grooming is given during this week. read more

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice?!? It's my fault . I am beyond disappointed and disgusted with service my pup and I received from this establishment. I went to this dog wash originally a few months ago, my dog had an accident (mated) and required a low cut, my initial reaction was shock because my puppy (cockapoo) walked in so fluffy and cute and came out looking like a dog I didn't recognize and when I started to further investigate I noticed how bad the actual cut was. There was no consistency throughout the cut and vowed to never go back but life had other plans *sigh* . I ultimately forgave the first hair cut and returned for a second time this past week because I actually liked the way his nails were trimmed and filed the last time, which brings us back to my I am disgusted with this place. I walked in shortly after 1 pm and the receptionist (a person I didn't see my first visit) seemed a bit frustrated with my coming in and informed me that "they were appointment only and she could see if the groomer would take me) full disclosure when I walked in the second time I only wanted my puppy to get a bath and a nail file! The groomer 1 (the woman who took my dog from me) told me that a sanitary cut and eye trim was included. Foolishly I agreed because my baby wasn't mated so there should be no issues right? WRONGGG!!!!!! Not only did they half bathed my baby (he still had dirt in his ears that left a residual odor) they gave him a full cut!!! Something I specifically listed on the green card for them not to do!!!! They recklessly and deliberately shaved my dog down in areas they were not supposed to touch and did a terrible job I might add. His sanitary cut around his bum is also by far the worst! My baby's ass crack is literally out! The shaved him down to his skin. I'm not entirely sure who cut him because when my dog left my possession he was with a woman groomer and when he returned a man gave him back. The receptionist really was the cherry on top. She was rude and argumentative with me from our first meeting to the time I walked out the door. If I could give this place 0 stars I would! (How cliche but it's the truth!) please please please, don not take your baby there! The baths were fine my dogs shed so they don't get trimmed just a bath and nails. I used to go here when there was different owners now the new owners are terrible. They have tripled the prices practically have to pay an arm and a leg for 2 dogs to get a bath and nails done. No hair cut just a bath. When I ask about some things like online there prices say one thing, but he wants to charge more than double after the service is done. The male owner made sexist comments to me which was very disturbing and un called for. He was so rude and depreciating of me I will never return. New owner. I wanted to schedule a time to bring my dog for a nail trim and wash. It was stated to me that I didn't need to wear a mask because owner was hospitalized with COVID last year and is now "immune". Okay. First red flag. I mentioned that I was fully vaccinated and she asked me when I'd received my last shot. When I told her, she said that she had to be careful of ME because the vaccine would be shedding and would affect her health negatively. (This is a conspiracy theory online) Red flag number two. I'm really sad this place is in the hands of an anti-masker and conspiracy theorist, as I really liked the previous owners. Needless to say, I'm never going back to the Dog Wash. I have never reviewed a business on Yelp before (I've reviewed one individual that was a friend)but felt compelled to share this info. in the hopes it will help others and maybe the owner can reevaluate owning a business during a pandemic and check the science. read more

We absolutely love this place for our dogs. The staff who are usually the owner and family are extremely nice and friendly. The place is clean and they do a great job trimming Bailey's nails. We went here twice when our normal place fell through. They will now be our usual place to go to wash the dogs and have their nails trimmed. read more

I give them 2 stars simply because this was the first bad experience after probably 4 times... but a bad enough experience that we won't be returning. I took my boys, Wrigley & Pablo yesterday - July 15th- for a grooming session. Pablo has been once or twice and Wrigley a few more than that. Pablo is a schnauzer-poo & Wrigley is a cockapoo. The ONE thing every doodle owner loves is their fluffy head and tail. When we went in, we asked for the doodle version of a summer cut. The girl mentioned to the groomer that they'd both be 7... (which is what we usually do for them both). We also showed them a picture of the day we picked up Wrigley the last time and stated that we'd like the same exact length/cut on him. They had me send the photo to them & we mentioned to them that we'd like the ears a bit shorter this time. WELL - to my surprise when I asked how much longer they'd be and which one went first and was sent a photo of Wrigley with his finished groom. Y'ALL. He was UNRECOGNIZABLE. They SHAVED every inch of him (including his head and tail)& guess what... he looked NOTHING like the photo we sent them from last time and his ears weren't even cut short. They left them long... So at this point I'm furious as to why no one thought to pay attention to anything we had mentioned we wanted and the fact that my sweet precious doodle bug no longer looks like a doodle AT ALL. I sent a text back saying "we requested the ears to be shorter. I also sent the photo we sent before, as well as mentioning that we requested the cockapoo (doodle) cut, shaping his face, head & ears. They did end up cutting his ears shorter. But that doesn't make up for the fact that nothing I requested was done. So here I am picking both dogs up. Pablo's head is completely shaved as well... WHAT THE HECK is wrong with these groomers??? I was so disappointed. My boyfriend was with me and the lady at the front desk was getting the machine ready for payment... I stopped her and kindly asked for the manger or owner. She gave me a weird look but proceeded to get him. He comes up to me and I just told him " look, I'm not someone who usually does this, but Wrigley doesn't look like anything we requested. We requested his ears be shorter and they weren't until we asked again through text. I mentioned that he's a doodle and they completely shaved his head... even after requesting us to send the photo from last time and having that as a reference for what to do. Could we at least get a discount or a refund for today at least on Wrigley since we didn't exactly get what we wanted?" He looked at the photo they texted to me & the reference photo of Wrigley from his last groom there and he says well... honestly I don't see much wrong with it & I said, "you don't think the face and head is a bit much" and he then responded with giving my boyfriend and I a kind lecture on how to brush our dogs head - stating that it was probably because he has matting. We brush our dog with a comb and a brush ALL THE TIME - we have NEVER had them shave down our dogs entire head??? And if you're going to shave it down, why don't you give us a call or a heads up to see if that's even something we'd want?? I get, maybe you think you should educate each person who walks through that door and complains - but maybe take a look at the reference photo and then take a look at your groomer as well as a little self reflection... I'm in the customer service industry and where I come from "the customer is always right' & I live by that. But this place obviously has a different mindset - more like "you get what you get - even when you didn't ask for it" "His head was probably matted".... Proceeds to lecture US. When he knows that was NOT the case. No respect. So now I have two completely shaved down doodles & I have yet to hear back if the groomer thought his head was "matted"... You can come in and groom your dog yourself or you can make an appointment and either Fay or Sondra Will give your pet a bath, sanitary cut and a nice blow dry.. Their pricing is very reasonable! We have big dogs so grooming is not inexpensive but thankfully we can afford to take them to the Cedar Park Dog Wash. They don't advertise it but Sondra is a dog whisperer. She just has that extra sense about her and can tune in to your pet and give you some tips about how they are feeling. I'm a strong believer in the extra abilities many humans have so I really appreciate that she is willing to share when we ask her. Quite often they have dog kerchiefs Did they have made themselves on the front counter and sell them at a very reasonable price. Usually they reflect whatever holiday season we happen to be in. My dogs absolutely love both of these women and they do a fabulous job. You have to be caring and compassionate to be in their profession and they exhibit both qualities!! I want to point out that I am giving two stars because this place at least all the necessities to properly groom your dog and the prices are very reasonable. That's about all that was good with this first interaction. Upon arriving the woman who assisted us was rude and almost IMMEDIATELY lectured me on having my dogs collar too loose. I had loosened it earlier that day because she was attacked by a dog who grabbed her collar and shook her so I loosened it to not make any superficial injuries worse. But regardless of the reasoning, it's not her business! She then began to condemn my choices of letting her be off leash (which I had trained her to be) saying that she was just a puppy and would eventually run away and i was wrong to trust her being off leash. I still let it slide although I had not asked for her opinion on my training style. She didn't greet my dog or move slowly to introduce herself. She got frustrated because my puppy wouldn't sit still for the dremel even though it was her first time with one. She didn't even follow the correct process for introducing it to her. My dog was scared of her because of it. The kicker was after everything was done, I dried her fully and took the lead off (which apparently was a no-no I learned AFTER the fact.) and my dog tried to jump out. This lady proceeded to scream at me to "get my dog," several times and My dog was literally just standing there. At this point I had had enough. Maybe she assumed because I was young with a puppy that I didn't know any better, but that is farther from the truth. You work in an industry that deals with dogs that primarily don't like to get wet. You need to have more patience than what you displayed... or you need to get another job. I didn't even ask for a brush, I paid and left. The level of disregard there was immense and I will NEVER return to give my business to this place. If you like being yelled at, lectured, and disrespected then you'll love this place. read more

Rude staff and unapologetic for wrong service! Don't ever take your dog to this place EVER! I brought my Chow with ger beautiful hair and ask them to cut it and when I came to pick her up, I didn't recognize her! I asked for a cut and they shaved all of her fur abd was unapologetic n rude!
