We've had our dogs at several different doggy daycares over the years but Pet Paradise has been by far the absolute best!! The staff is excellent in every way imaginable! They deal with so many dogs everyday but they still manage to remember every owner and dogs name. The place is incredibly clean, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They gave indoor and outdoor play areas, grooming, overnight boarding, an onsite vet if you choose to use them. They even have an awesome bone shaped in ground swimming pool for the dogs to play in. Rates were reasonable but customer service was not. They forgot to give me the items I checked in with at the time of pick-up: food, collar, medicine and treats. I realized this to following day. I was only concerned about the meds and collar because of a sensor on it and medical tags. I called and left a voice mail message for the manager. One of her staff called me 3 DAYS LATER because "they were too busy". She said I can pick-up the items and I let them know this was their issue and to mail them. She said she'd have to ask the manager for permission and said she'll call me right back. It is now one week later and I have not heard from them. read more

Highly recommend Pet Paradise if you have a super hyperactive pup! Our family followed Shanti (the assistant manager at Pet Paradise) from her previous location because she trained our pup there and was so friendly and caring. Pet Paradise does not offer training but the amenities offered are top notch and the staff have been super helpful with setting us up. I like that they have an app for you to book appointments and upload materials like vaccination records. I imagined the pet yard to be ground level but it's actually raised so I do like that it is a secluded and secured. There is also plenty parking spaces! Through the app, I was also able to check in on Chingu (my pup) mid day. Shanti gave us a tour at the end of our puppy's free trial day. The facility is super clean and there's even an indoor walk-in beach entry pool. The fans outside have a mister to keep the pups cool. I highly recommend taking advantage of their free day and taking a tour to see the types of rooms and features available. Chingu came home from his trial day very calm and passed out all night. I think that's a great sign that he had lots of fun at Pet Paradise and I can't wait to bring him back again! read more

Glad we had Bo neutered a few weeks ago or he would not have been able to go to daycamp here. It's one of the newest places for dogs in Cedar Park & it's massive! I think they have at least three pools they also board dogs &cats as well as offering daycare programs for half or full days. They have a vet there, they can do grooming there and an abundance of other add-on services! It was Bo's first time there. They offer a free assessment and day if you've never been there before. They advised that if we did not hear from them, that was a good thing, as it meant that Bo met the criteria of "playing well with others", and could stay for the rest of his day as planned. They are very flexible schedule wise -we had originally planned to bring him from 9:30 to 5 PM but I decided that I wanted to pick him up at 2:30 instead , as with all our dogs when they go for the first time I get anxious as I'm hoping they'll have a good experience. We did not get a tour in person of the facility. I did ask and if we do decide to board at any time we can go and see that area of the facility before we make a decision, they have a lot of information online including videos. One of the things I love is that they have multiple live cameras that run the entire time the daycare is operating and you can switch around until you find your dog to see what they are up to. When we went to pick Bo up, He was running around the main pool, which is in the front of the building near the reception area, he was with a pack of several dogs and was obviously having a good time. I could tell he was wet, but wasn't sure exactly what he did in terms of going in the pool. There was an attendant inside the pool area with the dogs at all times and she was helping to keep the peace if there were any issues. Overall, it looked like the dogs were fairly well behaved for that many. The lady who checked us out was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and very friendly. After moving to Austin from the Houston area, we decided to book our two dogs for boarding at Pet Paradise Cedar Park. We had nothing but great experiences with the Houston Hobby location - their staff was always VERY communicative. We have a 10 year old boxer and 2 year old Frenchie, both of whom are still intact (even though our Frenchie only has one descended testicle and will be getting neutered very soon). Since our boarding options are limited, we were looking forward to a similar experience using the Pet Paradise Resort in Cedar Park. Our dogs do not get any sort of social play, but they have 2 hours a day of supervised play with the two of them and a staff member. After a 48 hour stay, we were charged for to go baths for both dogs. Immediately when we got the dogs into the car, we were overwhelmed by the strong smell of urine. Since both of our dogs are brachycephalic, we had the A/C at full blast, but the whole car literally reeked. In the past, when we have picked them up after a go home bath, there was absolutely no smell whatsoever and their coats were always smooth/soft. This time, both of their coats were crusty and rough. So, either they were not bathed and we were charged for them OR they were bathed....which leads to my second concern.... Our frenchie's chest, penis, and testicle were all inflamed and appeared to be nearly raw. The tip of his penis was crusty when we picked him up and his testicle was clearly inflamed, the skin on his testicle was definitely raw, and there was long matted hair stuck to it (which had to have come from another dog). So, if they were groomed, my concern is that the groomer did not tend to the area, nor did they care to mention the obviously irritated skin to anyone. In the past, when we used Pet Paradise facilities in Houston, and the staff has always been very communicative, which is why we have been customers for so long. Now that we are in Austin, I was hoping that we would receive the same type of customer service but I am shocked at this level of negligence and disappointed in the lack of care. If the dogs get 2 hours of play time a day while they are staying the the one-on-one suite, did no one notice the large, inflamed testicle? Was he rubbing his chest and underbelly? Is there any sort of explanation from the staff and/or groomer? Pet Paradise's fees are by no means the cheapest in town, but that is a premium we have been happy to pay in the past knowing our family is in good hands. While it seems apparent that this location is understaffed, I do not believe that is an excuse for this type of negligence. I am including photos of the areas before and after I had to bath him (sorry for the visuals). After taking my dog to the vet, they confirmed that there was some sort of trauma to the area - both of our dogs testicles appear to have a full chemical burn. They are both visibly uncomfortable. THE WORST PART IS PET PARADISE HAS HAD ZERO RESPONSE!!!!! Initially, the manager responded 2 days after my initial email saying, "I want you to know I have reached out to all staff members who were part of their care and reached out specifically to the staff who did theirs baths to find out what happened, to ensure we used hypoallergenic shampoo as requested for their baths. I have also requested information regarding their kennel behavior and am pulling their run card and play charts from the files so I can have a full run down on their day." Since then, the management has not responded to our multiple attempts to speak with them. We never received a follow up call or email! It is now 11 days after picking up our dogs, and their testicle skin is STILL scabbed and causes discomfort when we have to clean the area. Poor pups have been on anti-inflammatory meds, ice packs, antibiotic ointment, etc. We had additional reservations reserved but cancelled them, including one that we lost a deposit on, still without any response or resolution from management. Wow! I cannot say enough about Pet Paradise! We boarded our two pups over Halloween weekend and they blew me away with how awesome they are! I loved being able to see my girls on their cameras having a blast! My little girl, Valkyrie, is typically very shy and not super playful, but watching her cut up and play with the other pups was awesome! Cannoli, our bigger girl, was a recent shelter rescue so I was so worried about how she would handle the separation. I was so thankful they let our girls stay in the same suite so that Noli didn't feel abandoned. And she had a blast! We paid for a bath before they came home and it was so refreshing to have them smell so clean after 4 days of boarding! and their nails were trimmed great! They only thing that I was a little disappointed in was that we had requested the daily "furever connected" texts, but there seemed to have been an issue with the program, so we didn't receive the text updates :( They took off the charges though and explained the program issue so i'm not super bent up about it! Was excited to try this place out however I will not be taking my dog back and will never recommend them. Firstly all staff that worked were unfriendly. I was told when I arrived because my dog wasn't spayed she would not get to play with the group and would have to be 1 on 1. There was no place online that mentioned it and also l've never been told that at other dog day cares. My dog was there from about 7:30-3 and I was constantly checking the cameras every 30 min and never once did I see them play with her. When I came and picked her up she smelt awful like she had been standing in her own pee. I feel awful that I took her to this place. So if you bring your dog here please watch the cameras and make sure they are actually playing with your dog if they are doing the 1 on 1. Do better and hire employees who at least act like they like their jobs especially when it's someone's first time and your wanting to make a good impression. read more

Trustworthy, friendly and communicative staff. I use their services for 1 on 1 care with my dog and they take great care of her.

It's been nearly 3 weeks and my dog's illness hasn't gotten any better. Still not eating and waking up random hours after midnight to pee. 1st visit to the vet , they gave him antibiotics. Though his diarrhea had stop, but it did not end there. Doctor said he seemed to be under stressed. He's still not eating. 2 visit to the vet, blood work was done, everything checks out. Prescribe him medication so that he would eat... at this point , we've already spent over $700 on medical bills. Still not eating ... still waking at random hours. The doctor asked us to get a sample of his urine for some testing... next in line if they can't find anything wrong with him, would be ultrasound ($600). 3rd visit to the vet ... just to pick up some meds so my dog can sleep... still not sleeping. Already trying to schedule for an ultrasound. At this point I am utterly furious. Pet paradise never reached out to me as they claimed from their reply. I need a full report of my dog when he was in your care. Like I mentioned in my previous review ... I did not catch my dog on camera in the yard the entire week of his stay ... at all. His behavior and loss of appetite has changed ever since we picked him up. read more

Let me start by saying I tried to call and handle my issues privately, but kept getting the run around from management. I'm not after anything. The managers need to know the staff is not taking care of other peoples' dogs, and they are putting themselves at risk. The staff clearly does not have any real knowledge of how to take care of dogs. They blatantly ignore behaviors and the basic rules of dog interactions. This was our first visit, and we were excited for the all day play and socialization. The photos and reviews of this place seemed like they would be a perfect match for us. Before I dropped her off, I was under the impression that I would be able to leave her for an all day eval. The staff kept saying that I should get her after three hours, but wouldn't tell me why. I was told that if she got overstimulated, she would be put in timeout. I was happy with this, because I know that it can be overwhelming in a new place. I was not given any other information about how she would be introduced to the yard, or where her crate would be located. I even called to ask where she was after I left, because I couldn't find her. They told me she napping in a suite. This was the second camp environment she has been in, so I was watching the cameras to see if she made friends. She makes them easily at dog parks. I am very aware of my dog's body language and I could tell immediately she was nervous. Understandable; new environment. My issue is with the pool staff member. She spent the entire time I was watching sitting down. She only got up a few times, and never for more than 2-3 min. Dogs were constantly crowding around her in the corner. Davey was still nervous, and had spent most of her time trying to hide. Anyone with training would have seen this and stood up. Dogs were crowding her and getting annoyed. This behavior would have stopped if the staff would have kept moving. After a few bad interactions, the staff member decided to leash Davey, while still sitting in her chair. You do not allow off-leash dogs to interact with a dog that is unable to get away. Davey was forced to sit next to a staff member who was not paying attention, while a boxer kept trying to initiate play. It was VERY clear that Davey did not want to play, and she lunged multiple times. It is ridiculous that after Davey lunged at the boxer the staff member just sat there and pulled on Davey's leash, allowing the interactions to continue. She should have immediately been put in timeout. She should have been removed from the yard so that she could self-soothe and forget about the interaction. Instead, she was forced to stay there, lunging at dogs, for three and a half minutes. When Davey was finally removed from the yard, she was placed in a pen that was right next to the yard for 30min. She was given a suite to sleep in for her first nap, but for some reason she was placed in a wet room where she was STILL being bothered by the dogs. The staff member was up long enough to clean up a mess, and then sat back down on the other side, not paying attention to Davey getting more annoyed at the other dogs. Davey also came home and developed a skin rash and warts, which warranted a vet visit. When she was let out, she stayed calm for a few minutes but pretty quickly became annoyed when the staff member led all the dogs right back to that box she was sitting on. They allowed Davey to lunge at another dog twice before deciding to put her up again. It was at this point that 1 picked her up. I had already been en route because it was clear that she was uncomfortable in that environment and was acting out. It was also clear that the staff were not paying attention to the dog behaviors. When I arrived, she was brought up by the staff member that had been sitting in the yard with her. She called her a boy, and said "he" did great the whole time. She did not mention the lunging, the time out, or any of the nervous behaviors. When I asked the front desk about her time out, I was told that when a dog acts out they are given a five minute time out, and that for every subsequent issue they are given an additional five minutes. I went home and reviewed the camera footage (I started recording before I left) to confirm that she had been in that kennel beside the play yard for just over 30min. I have no issues with her being in time out. I DO have issues with being lied to about my dog's behavior, and about the business' practices. Either the dogs get 30min naps, with additional time added later, or my dog was in trouble so much that she warranted six different time outs (for a total of 120min??) that I wasn't told about. I NEED to know about these issues as a parent. If I hadn't been watching the cameras, I would never have known about these behaviors and may have brought her back here, making her miserable, and putting other dogs at risk. They care more about making money than the safety of their staff or the other dogs in their care. We are done here. read more

We were very happy taking our Golden Retriever to this Pet Paradise. From the check-in to check-out it was handled top notch. I was surprised how organized they were since they have not been open very long. We watched our girl throughout the day on the web cam and the staff paid her and all the dogs within her group Special attention. This was our first time leaving our girl anywhere and we were concerned how well she would adapt as she is very much a "home body". We will be visiting Pet Paradise in the future! read more

Awful for small dogs! I dropped my small dog off for a trial at Pet Paradise Cedar Park today and have kept an eye on the cameras. It is 2:15 in the afternoon and not once since I dropped him off at 9 have they let my medium-high energy pup out of his small kennel. This is NOT why I wanted to try them out. I wanted him to socialize and maybe expend a little energy. Large dogs were prioritized and the small dogs were left to languish in kennels all day. I can't believe I gave them another try. I had my dog there for a week. He came home skinny and red and discharge eyes. I got all the food I left back.I had to reboard him the following week. So I took my dog to the onsite veterinarian. They gave him medication for his eye. I went over instructions and they are listed on the prescription. They didn't allow any play time. When I got him back after another week,I noticed the medication was never opened. I can't believe they did not treat him at all. So disheartening. I am so thankful for the entire staff at Pet Paradise Cedar Park -- and I appreciate them SO MUCH. My dog (and me, lol) suffer from separation anxiety and this was the first time I have ever boarded my dog. (He is six years old.) I started by taking him to doggy daycare once a week for six weeks. Each time we arrived, he was happy to go through the doors. He's a vocal dog, but the staff told me that was never an issue and in fact, they told me "they like to think he's just making his presence known like the King that he is." He just stayed for five nights and I was able to see him on camera playing with his friends during the day. I also received very cute pictures and progress reports throughout his stay as well. The staff also put up with me sending them emails asking about him and were extremely responsive and kind with me when I was really probably worried about nothing! I can tell that he was very well taken care of and loved on. All of the OCD instructions I gave them (including his daily medicines, bringing my own shampoo for a bath and not blow drying) were followed to a tee. I was able to enjoy my own vacation, and I think my dog truly enjoyed his vacation in paradise as well. I'll continue to bring my dog for daycare visits, and I will not hesitate to board him again if needed. If you are a worried dog Mom or Dad, I promise you that your dog will love Pet Paradise! The folks there will treat your dog as if they are their own, and they will also put your own worries and anxiety at ease. Could not be happier with my experience. read more

I only gave 1 star because there isn't an option for no stars. We boarded our pups at Pet Paradise in Cedar Park for 10 days in June 15th, 2023. We purchased the VIP package for 2,485. We left instructions not to let our two dogs play in the pool, because Zeke had developed hot spots from the life vest and pool in a prior stay with Pet Paradise, and Zoe was recently spay and the vet recommended against her being in the pool. Pet Paradise allowed both dogs to play in the pool anyway. Zeke developed horrible hot spots during this stay. Please Note: Zeke has been treated 2 times for hotspots, and both times occurred while being boarded at Pet Paradise in Cedar Park, and both vets said the hot spots were a result of swimming in the pool and the life vest rubbing against his skin. These are the only two times Zeke has ever experienced hot spots. Zoe had glue from her recent spay, for a tiny section that still needed to heal. After swimming, Zoe's incision popped open and Pet Paradise took her to her vet to reglue the small incision. Both dogs were then left in their VIP room to keep them away from the moisture. Pet Paradise assured me they would give them extra attention since they were in isolation. We watched the vip cameras regularly, and they were given minimal attention. They often had pee in their blankets and bed. We discussed with the regional manager, Chris. We asked for compensation for this horrible experience, Chris offered a mere $180. Theirs was a horrible experience, definitely not a VIP experience, and we should not have been charged the full price. I'll never leave my pups at Pet Paradise again, and I'd never recommend them. Chris said Zeke has a pre existing condition for hot spots. When I told Chris that Zeke's only two experiences with hot spots occurred under Pet Paradise care, he responded that all English Bulldogs are prone to hot spots. Why would Pet Paradise allow English Bulldogs to swim, and allow life vests to rub against their skin, if he feels that all English Bulldogs have a preexisting condition with hot spots? I used Pet Paradise 3 times, and two of the three were awful experiences. I'll never allow Pet Paradise to abuse and neglect my pups again. If you love your pups like I love mine, I suggest you not use Pet Paradise services. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! They left our 4.5 lb 9 month old puppy in her cage for almost 2 days straight. We monitored her on the camera pretty consistenly over the 2 days and 1 night she was there. Normally when we come home, she goes crazy licking us, jumping on us and when we arrived to pick her up, there was almost no recognition of us at all. They handed us to her and she was shaking and just showed no emotion. We asked to speak the manager because we knew they had not been letting her out of the cage for playtime or bathroom breaks. They said the manager was not there and to call on Sunday. We did and spoke to the assistant manager. She said she checked the logs and thought we were coming later in the day which is why our dog didn't get any playtime on the second day, but she did admit she should have gotten playtime earlier. She said she would credit my credit card $35 (never happened). She said she would review the video on the first day to see if she was let out the first day and call us back on Monday. Never heard a word from her and that was over 2 weeks ago now. If you need evidence you can see our poor little dog sitting in the cage in this webcam screen shot while all the other dogs are playing and she is forced to watch and not participate. I was hoping to settle this privately, but management here has completely ignored us and never called us back. read more

Last 2 times we boarded our dog there, she came back sick with diarrhea, very lethargic, and not herself. It took over a week for her to start coming around. We've never had this issue at other boarding places, she would always come back happy and full of energy. ***DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS WITH YOUR PET. We boarded our sweet cat with this facility and received glowing reports from them about how well she was doing. We picked her up this morning and she was limp and lifeless. We took her to the vet who did everything he could to save her but she died less than 3 hours after we picked her up from Pet Paradise. She was severely dehydrated, her temp was dangerously low, and her pulse ox was in the 70s when we got her to the vet. Pet Paradise is neglectful and doesn't care properly for the animals they are entrusted with. This review is not about trashing a business...there is nothing that will bring our cat back to us, but I don't want anyone to go through what we are experiencing right now. Stop!!!!!! Beware!!! We took our dog here for the first time for a few hrs a week before we were to board her for 10 days while on we were on vacation. She was only there for maybe 4 hours and came home smelling as if she had rolled around in urine or had been bathed in urine. I had to bathe her twice once I brought her home to get the smell off her. When you walk in the door the lobby floor had urine on it and smelled horrible and it was only 9 am. I should have known just by the first impression not to leave her there again, but I wanted to give them a second try. When we did board her in the VIP kennel with a camera for 10 days, I checked on her often( like every hr or more) the first night only to find out they left a tv on in the kennel all night and a bright fluorescent light on all night. Needless to say she was restless and did not sleep hardly at all. (Possibly because it was so bright in there). Again I gave them the benefit of the doubt, this was her first boarding there so maybe she was nervous and scared. I called the next morning asking then to turn off the lights and tv at night so she could rest at night. This is common sense to turn off lights at night so dogs can sleep you would think. The second night was the same thing but they did turn off the tv. Lights were as bright as could be and a second restless nights of sleep for her. The VIP section has a toddler bed with a sheet for her to sleep on. The sheets were to be changed daily but that only occurred one time in 10 days. Have the time the sheet was half way off the bed and not fixed when they were suppose to clean the kennel daily. If I wasn't on a cruise I would have cancelled my vacation and came and got her out of there. The final straw is that she contracted Kennel Cough from this facility. When I called to report my dog was sick 2 days after coming home, the receptionist just blew me off. I just wanted them to be aware so other pet owners could be warned in case they noticed their animal were not feeling well. Yes I understand this is a risk whenever you board a pet, but take responsibility and precautions to prevent the spread. I spent $1500 to board her only for her to be traumatized and sick the next 2 weeks. Do not take your pets here!!! Update- I still have not heard a response back from "upper management" like what was stated after my review. Additionally we never received our deposit back for the boarding reservations I had for the holidays that I cancelled. After reading more reviews since I made mine, this seems to be a common problem with this facility. read more

I recently took my dog to Pet Paradise Cedar Park for 3 days of boarding. On her third day there, she was attacked twice by another dog. I am not sure if it was the same dog because I got very minimal information about either attack. I was told that there was an altercation earlier in the day and I should have been contacted but I wasn't. I got zero information as to why this altercation occured, where it occurred, how it was handled (other than "they were separated"), what steps would be taken to prevent future ones, and if she was checked out by a vet. There was dried blood on her ear. Additionally, when my dog was brought to me, she had THREE fresh bites on her, one of which was bleeding more than the other 2. Nobody could tell me what happened. I submitted feedback to Pet Paradise about all of this and have yet to hear from anyone. This was 4 days ago now. This is also not the first time my dog was hurt at a Pet Paradise location due to what appears to be negligence by staff. I will not be taking my dog back. read more

DO NOT BOARD YOUR CAT HERE! Their policy is even senior cats with established immunity must have a recent FVRCP vaccination despite being warned by my cat's vet how dangerous that is and against recommendations by the American Animal Hospital Association and American Association of Feline Practitioners. After getting the vaccine to satisfy Pet Paradise's requirement my cat developed a fever, unnoticed by their staff, and died 2 weeks afterward despite desperate attempts by his vet to lower his fever, keep him hydrated and nourished. He died in agony with seizures and struggling to breath because of the unnecessary FVRCP vaccination. "Pet Paradise": that's where they'll send your pet. read more

Boarded our small and large dog for 3-days. Small dog came home fine. Large dog came home with horrible uncontrollable bloody diarrhea. After two days at home it was gone. Clearly a stress reaction and has NEVER had one before. Something different here and we won't be back! read more

Dog has stayed there twice. It had been great both times. No complaints or problems. Watching the cameras is fun.

Boarded my 15 year old Boston Terrier with this group. She had a great time. She was able to be herself. The staff had plenty of stories to share plus we could watch her on camera miles and miles away. She came home without anxiety just like she had spent time with family. After having someone in the Pet Paradise Corporate office reach out to me to discuss our issues after our December 2022 boarding experience and having our concerns validated that we did not get the services we should have gotten in the VIP suite, we were reimbursed for one night's boarding and asked to give it another chance. We did finally schedule a 1 night boarding, again in the VIP suite, for our 3 dachshunds earlier this week. We went ahead of time to give updated shot records and to verify what "perks" we would be getting even though our dogs are not compatible with others and again discussed briefly what our previous experience was. I must say it was a totally different experience. We, of course, had never expected someone to constantly be with our dogs - that would be a ridiculous expectation - but they got far more attention this time. The cameras allowed us to see that employees were in the room from time to time more often even if it was for brief times to give them some attention and human contact. We could tell a difference within a couple of hours in our dogs while they were there after someone came in to bring their food and spent a few minutes with them. They seemed much more relaxed, were walking around their suite, in and out between the indoors and their outside play area. They were eating more often - which we barely saw them do the first time. This time they allowed us to bring a t-shirt from home and we noticed them cuddling up with it as it had our scent and it seemed to be a comfort for them. It was a much more relaxed time for us, too, as we felt very comfortable with the services they were being provided. They also did not seem as anxious when they got home as they were the first time. We are planning a few more 1 night stays here and there to get them even more used to it before we do more than a night and, hopefully the service will remain the same as we were extremely pleased this time. read more
