I really hate leaving bad reviews for small businesses but I had already talked to the owners about how someone shaved my dog's ears and the hair never grew back. Now she has short ears and doesn't have the beautiful face she always had. They kind of shrugged it off and said something like "that happens." Anyway, I wasn't complaining to them because I'm not sure who did it but I wanted them to know I didn't like her hair shaved and I wondered if there was anything that could be done about it. So, I brought my dog in to be groomed. Her hair was getting long, NOT matted, just long, and she desperately needed a bath. She is a Havanese so she has hair and not fur. It looks beautiful on her tail when she runs or wags her tail. My husband picked her up and when he got her home, 3 of us here all said in unison "WHAT HAPPENED TO HER TAIL??" They shaved her tail and it seriously looks like a rat's tail. I'm so filled with emotions, anger, frustration, sadness; I just can't even find the words. All I know is that I will never bring her back there again. Especially after we had the conversation about shaved ears. They've been grooming her for 7 or 8 years!!!!! What happened????

I've worked very hard to get her house trained (we still have accidents but that's to be expected) Thirdly- "oh you're dog is probably a rescue dog" WHY DOES IT MATTER IF SHE IS OR ISN'T? Yes, she is a rescue dog, i got her 2 hours before she was going to be euthanized. Fourth- "she tilts her head so she might be uneven" umm okay, the other groomer never had an issue with that And last BUT not LEAST- they razor burned her paws all 4 of them.. I just noticed this when she was laying down. When I touch it she yelps in pain. What kind of groomer says that kind of stuff?! I am OUTRAGED! my baby means the world to me! When I picked her up, Ruthy let me know that my dog would keep turning around and didn't like her paws being touched and so she needed to hit her to correct the behavior. I was shocked to learn this and floored that she was so comfortable admitting this to me. She then proceeded to try to tell me things I should be doing to better train my dog. Never ever going back.

This place won hands down. They are friendly and make sure to send a text reminder a day or so before the appointment. They also text you when the pooch has finished being pampered. For a dog groomer, it's pretty clean. The dogs all seem well cared for. Knox always comes home handsome and smelling amazing. I like their holiday spa specials. $12 bucks for several extras including teeth care and nail trim/file. We have to take Knox, because of his breed, every month or so. A full groom runs us about $75. It's not cheap but it's worth it considering the less competent places aren't much less expensive.

This was speaking to someone of their business and then miss quoting price miss booking my appointment for what I needed done and then they left. Which was probably just as well. Barkley got razor rash once & had a problem after his anal glads expressed long ago at Pampered Pet which resulted in vet visit both times, but other than those two episodes, I was satisfied and just wrote those two problems off as flukes until....I took my teacup Maltese there last September (2025). His first couple appointments were fine, but the last, he looked terrible, like a different dog. People who saw him afterwards thought it WAS a different dog, an old dog, not my cute little 9 month old Maltese. When I brought him in, I told Michelle I didn't want his face touched much at all, to leave his "mustache" and wanted his ear hair trimmed shorter, like a puppy. Well, they did the exact opposite; they left the ears long and SHAVED his face. He wasn't matted or anything. I paid the bill, including a $20 tip BEFORE they brought him out to me. I was in shock when they handed him to me. I left and on the drive home, I couldn't even look at him. But the more I did, the madder I got. When I got home, I immediately called Michelle and said, "you know I'm not one to complain and never have, but I was furious on the grooming job. That they did the exact opposite of what I asked and that he looked terrible." She said I could bring him back in and they'd trim his ears shorter, like I had asked, but the damage was done. I knew they couldn't glue his cute mustache and whiskers back on. All I saw when I looked at him was a dog that didn't look a thing like my cute 9 month old puppy that I had brought in. I told her I was too mad to bring him back in and I was just furious. She just said oh, okay. No offer of any compensation or anything. I had been a customer for over a decade. His fur, of course, has since grown back and he looks cute again. He is now a year and 5 months old and I take him to Muddy Paws on 10th Street now, where we have been extremely pleased AND they are a little less expensive and we've had much, much better experience every single time and much better cut than he ever had at Pampered Pet. Sorry, but it's the truth. I won't go back there. I don't know if there was miscommunication between Michelle and the groomer or what because I did tell Michelle the cut I wanted: face left alone, only cleaned up a little, leave his mustache/whiskers and trim the ears much shorter and the exact opposite was done. He was the first appointment of the day, maybe she was still half asleep, I don't know.

We had an appointment yesterday and I was worried he'd have another seizure. They called in advance and had a plan in place to make sure all went smoothly (which it did). Dr. Olsen is amazing and has helped walk us through this new journey of having a pet with epilepsy. She has helped put our minds at ease and educated us on how to care for him if he has another one and we will continue to monitor him in case he needs anything else. From the moment we scheduled the appointment, Jules' team was kind, sincere, and incredibly accommodating. When we arrived, someone quickly guided us into a private room, giving us the space and privacy to say our final goodbyes. You could feel the empathy in the room -- the staff genuinely understood how painful this moment was for us. Epic wasn't just a pet; she was part of our family. We spent nearly an hour holding her, reminiscing, and even helping our almost 5-year-old daughter begin to understand the cycle of life and death. The vet was gentle, detailed, and respectful, explaining the process with so much care that it helped ease some of our grief. They gave us the option to keep a piece of Epic with us -- clipping a bit of her fur and offering a keepsake paw print, which arrived a few days later for pick up. It was beautifully done and means so much to us now. While no goodbye is ever perfect, and there are always little things you wish could be different in hindsight, the team at Jules made an impossibly hard day just a little softer. They treated us -- and Epic -- with dignity, patience, and love. We weren't just another family. Epic wasn't just another dog. We've been bringing our dog here since she was born in April 2021 and have never had an issue until…read morenow. I scheduled a vaccine-only appointment and specifically did not request an exam. Because I have a disability, my adult daughter is authorized on our account and brought our dog in for the visit. Instead of a vaccine appointment, my daughter was checked in for an exam. After answering routine questions from a veterinary technician, the veterinarian came into the room and performed an exam. My daughter was confused because previous vaccine appointments involved simply taking our dog back for vaccinations. We were then charged $74 for the exam and $130 for a fecal/heartworm test. The fecal charge was especially frustrating because we did not bring a sample, and I had already told the office the day before that I would not be doing that test. The office later refunded the $130 because no test was actually performed. When I called to discuss the unexpected exam charge, Susan, the office manager, told me my daughter had requested the exam, which is not true. She refused to remove the charge because the service had already been provided. I also found her dismissive, unwilling to listen, and she repeatedly spoke over me during the conversation. I am still waiting for a call back from Dr. Wallace. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled has caused me to lose confidence in the practice. I have requested my dog's records and will be transferring her care elsewhere.
