Our doggie Kaili working w Gary, look how focused she is...amazing!

We enrolled our 2 yr old Black Labrador in the 30 day private dog training. Oh my goodness, Gary is an amazing trainer...Last fall our dog broke my collar bone & pulled my 6.2 ft husband down to the ground w her excessive LACK of FOCUS & 70 lb strength. The 30 day private training was worth every dollar because we were not going to be able to handle her and we knew it. She is now absolutely wonderful . We picked her up last Friday and we r both so excited to experience her calm & focused. Also, she looks healthy, bright and alert. Over the weekend we continued to train on the basics... heal/sit; sit/stay (we went out about 20 ft and returned) she did not move; go to your place (bed) and she calmly lays down and stays until we take her out, for me that is just magic; we also can take her out to go "Potty" and we now can train her to go in a designate area...oh my, that is just wonderful. On heal, she never pulled once which is not the story 30 days ago. If she got a little ahead of us, we corrected her and she immediately listened & got right back into position. Amazing & Excellent work Gary!!! After our 1st weekend, on Monday we started working w Peggy to "Train us" so we don't untrained our doggy. I think Peggy has the difficult job, hahaha. She has been great to work w, she answered all our questions and tomorrow we return for our 2nd private training session...Yay! The key is to train us to lovingly reinforce all the skills our doggie has learned. One final comment: This will now be where we board our doggie on our longer vacations. I noticed when we returned on Monday for our training, Kaili wanted to say hi to everyone, was so excited to see Gary her trainer, and she wanted go inside to the kennels...signal to me, she liked being there. We are absolutely grateful to Gary and Peggy for giving us a dog we can be excited to work with and thoroughly enjoy.

    One of my dogs.

I've taken my dogs here for boarding and training. It's a family run business who knows what they're doing. It's nice to be able to call a human if I have a question, and not deal with a recording or some teenager who knows nothing about dogs. I adopted one dog that I eventually had to take back to the shelter. Gary was upfront with me that no amount of training was going to fix this dog's prior abuse. He didn't want me to waste my money or put my kids in jeopardy. Long story short- I found another trainer who would take my money, but turns out Gary was right. Shoulda listened to him. They're old school and very knowledgeable. I'll be bringing my dogs here and nowhere else from now on.

Wonderful training center. I took my German Shepherd here when he was a pup. The trainers know what they are doing. I highly recommend.

When my family dropped her off, they were told she could not leave her blanket or toy with her. However, the website clearly states that dogs are allowed to bring a blanket and a toy from home to help them feel comfortable. That is exactly why we brought those items, so this was confusing right from the start. The following day I called to check in and was told she was doing fine--eating, drinking, and adjusting well. I called again and was told the same thing. I asked if they could send me pictures of her, and when I received them I noticed a cut on the bottom of her chest. If I had not asked for photos, I don't believe I would have been notified about the injury at all. My dog has never cut herself before, so naturally as a dog parent you start worrying and thinking the worst. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at home, so it is normally her safe place. When I asked about the cut, they repeatedly told me they checked the kennels to make sure it was safe and suggested it could have been from a handler's collar getting stuck in her hair. However, my dog has very thin hair and the cut is nowhere near where a collar would normally sit, which made that explanation hard to believe. Another major concern was that their website advertises "all day play," yet in every picture they sent she was on a collar and leash. I was also told that they do not allow dogs to play with other dogs due to safety concerns, which directly contradicts what is advertised. Additionally, in the photos my dog looked very sad and withdrawn, when normally she is very happy and loves to play. This made me concerned that she may have been kept in a kennel and on a leash for most of the time she was there. Because of this, I immediately called family to pick up my dog early. The entire situation made me very uncomfortable and I did not feel confident leaving her there for the remainder of the stay. I chose this place because of the positive Google reviews, but after this experience I truly wish I had paid closer attention to the Yelp reviews as well. I will not be leaving my dog here again.

She was there during a hot streak and when I picked her up she was bloated to twice her size and they said she had just begun to act odd 20 minutes before pick up. I rushed her to Standiford Vet and they performed emergency surgery for GDV (stomach bloat). They said this happens when dogs are walked in extreme heat and are then fed food or given water. The dog will gulp water and also air which causes their stomach to inflate. This will affect their organs, mostly the heart. I spent $5k on this emergency surgery and my dog didn't make it. I'm not placing blame nor did I seek for any damages but I would have expected a boarding place to be better educated on how to prevent GDV or at least recognize the signs to call me to come get her to take her to the ER. I am sharing this so that everyone makes their own decision about boarding their dog here.

Back in March, I was told that my dog Shadow could be scheduled for a refresher in June due to one of the trainers resigning. I understood the situation and was more than willing to wait. I even responded promptly, confirming that June would work and asking to be placed on the calendar. As June approached, I reached out again -- multiple times -- to follow up and get a specific date set. My messages were never responded to. It's now the end of June. At this point, I just want my money back so I can take my dog elsewhere to someone who's reliable and professional the least you can do is communicate and issue a refund.
