I can't express how thankful and grateful my senior doggy and I are for Dr. Singh and his team !! My dog had an appt scheduled at his normal vet weeks out for a big mass removal but his mass got irritated and things started escalating pretty quickly :( Sisk vet was able to get me in that same day for the removal and got him right back out in a few hours in good spirits and quick healing !! Hasn't even been a full month and he's already pretty much healed , nice straight stitching too . Stitching was removed about 10-12 days after and the scar is already kinda faded . Overall , Very pleased with our visits and how everything turned out . Thank you Dr. Singh and team , forever grateful !!!! Im giving them a 1 star because I can't do less. My daughter had taken our collie mix to Salida Sisk Vet for several years I stopped taking my dogs since the Vet was sold to Singh ( don't trust him) So we took her in because she wasn't acting like her self the assistant said they would have to put her to sleep to take X-rays and do blood work it would be 1,300 and something so we said that's fine that they would have to keep her for 2-3 hrs. Daughter went to pick her up, they told my daughter that she had lesions possibly bone infection or even Cancer or Vally fever ( my daughter called me so I was talking to the assistant) because they wanted another 1,700 and something to test her liver due to inflammation ( luckily I have medical knowledge so I said well the liver must be inflamed due to what ever she's fighting right? ) so the assist said yeah that's right so I said then that's not necessary then she said she also needed to be tested for Valley Fever and a biopsy due to the lesions that may be cancer. Didn't trust them so I told my daughter to bring her home to have them give her meds. They gave her 17 pills for pain and that was like $78 and said to keep her comfy! A week went by she was still acting different so I tolld my daughter to make her an appointment that I would pay the $450 something for the valley fever so we took her in again exactly 8 days from the 1st visit she was running out of meds so my daughter asked for RX so she can buy it through CHEWY cause she can get 78 pills for $24 dollars and they also wanted give her Gabapentin. After asking several question and being told that if she had valley fever she probably would have to go through extensive tx so I ask what would be the prognosis, she stated that she would probably pass away. So I said then it's pointless to pay for the Valley Fever. I asked the assistant if she could please have the Vet come in and talk with me that I had some questions she went to go get him and all I heard was my fur baby's name but he never came in to talk to me and sent her back in with the same BS. So before we left my daughter again asked for RX for Maya's pain meds it took them 3 days to send it to CHEWY even after we told them she only had 2 days left. A pt of mine happen to be a Vet téc. she referred me to Monte Vista I called them they asked Salida Vet for all medical records. She got worst on April 24 rushed ( she never got pain meds on time) her to Monte Vista and Vet came in with SALIDA VET MEDICAL RECORDS and X-Rays and told us she had a big mass of Cancer in her abdomen that had spread to her lungs and something with her heart she had to be put to sleep that same day. How the hell did Salida Sisk Vet NOT see that when it was their medical Records Monte Vista gave us the diagnosis from! They don't care about our pets money hungry bastard she was my whole world had they told us the truth we would have taken time off to be with her on her last days. Btw every time my daughter took her to her Vet visits she was told she was too fat that we needed to put her on a diet. All these years she had Cancer. I can't express my anger and all the pain I'm going through she was my WHOLE WORLD. This place is shady and all the so called Cracker Jack box vet licensed they purchased need to be revoked and shut them DOWN. I've talked to other people and they have had similar stories. My precious little kitty had an irritated/red eye on Monday night. I called all around to emergency vets and the wait time was insane, luckily I was able to get my cat in at Sisk right away. The vet tech/nurse? Idk what she was, and the doctor were so sweet to my girl and very helpful and communicative on how to use the treatment/medicine properly. I thought it was so nice of the hospital to follow up with me to check in on how my cat was doing a few days after my initial visit. I cannot say enough about the care and patience of this vet. Dr Singh deserves shoutouts and praise for his quality of care, patience, and clear communication. We live in Hayward and drive out to Salida just to meet with him! The first time I came to Sisk, Dr Singh, helped take care of my dog who had pneumonia and was not getting good care at other vets. He showed me where my dog would be kept, observed, and how they would diagnose what may be going on. This really helped me feel at ease and comfortable. He also prescribed some antibiotics which really effectively helped my dogs recovery. The 2nd time I had to get some xrays and do a dental cleaning for zeke. He spent time before the appointment examining his teeth, and addressing my questions about zekes health. Based on that, he suggested we wait for the xrays and more information and then determine next steps. Our girl Daisy had a episode on a Sunday afternoon. Although she had never been seen there, they told us to come right in. She was hospitalized for 3 nights and the staff and Dr. were amazing. She could have come home sooner but we were very anxious and the Dr let her stay another night. She was a mess as far as needing a good bath and nails done. Dani, the groomer, and other staff tackled her nails and then bathed her before going home. During the whole experience, the Dr and staff were understanding and very helpful. I had an extremely disappointing and distressing experience at this clinic. I visited because I needed urgent care for my pet, who had not been eating for several days. When I explained that she had recently undergone oral surgery (all her teeth were removed about six months ago) and that her red throat was likely due to that, the vet completely dismissed my concerns. Instead of addressing the obvious inflammation with a simple steroid or antibiotics, the vet insisted on charging me $800 for blood work and testing for leukemia and FIV. I informed him that my pet had already been tested by our regular vet and that her condition did not warrant such extensive and expensive diagnostics. He even suggested a meal stimulation to encourage her to eat, which was unnecessary given the clear context of her previous surgery and symptoms. It became clear that he has no sympathy for pets--his only concern appears to be money. I believe a vet should listen to a pet owner's insights and prioritize the animal's well-being, not impose excessive fees for unwarranted tests. I paid $75 for the visit with no help from him--they just wanted me to pay for tests that weren't needed. Seventy-five dollars is money I could have used at a good vet to get help for my beloved pet. I feel I was robbed--not everyone has money to do all the unnecessary testing, especially not in this day and age. I have been working with veterinarians for many years, and this is the worst practice I have ever encountered. Caution: They just want your money, not to help your pet. read more

Just wanted to update this, our dog needed an emergency treatment so we went ahead and signed the invoice and paid what you asked because we were concerned that we would not be able to get her to another vet that it would not be safe. Come to find out it was wildly overpriced. Preying on people for money when they need help is not the right thing to do. Also, we resolved the infection in her eye first then the eye ointment was used so please don't say nobody would do that when we did one than the other and it's correct. I don't care what you say. Honestly, it doesn't really matter because I won't ever bring a pet to your office again and I hope that nobody else will either, I think that you may get business out of necessity and that's probably the way it'll always. We have two dogs and have moved around a lot, it's hard to find a quality, caring, compassionate, and communicative vet but Dr. Singh was all of those things. Our Golden had been fighting respiratory issues for a few months, we had seen a few vets but it wasn't until Dr. Singh that we felt heard and a thorough work up had been completed and our boy was diagnosed and treated appropriately. He was patient, took time to educate us, show us images, and help us understand what to expect. Hey clearly loves what he does. The only downside was the front office staff did not seem as passionate about working with animals or providing great customer service. Overall absolutely would recommend Dr. Singh. We have since moved away but still drive back to Salida for our dogs to see him. read more

We've been taking our dog since last year. They have good package deals that save you money for vaccines and appointments. We recently took her to get spayed and had a good experience. When she got spayed the vet also noticed a rash and also gave her medicine for that too. The lobby is pretty spacious and clean. The parking lot is pretty small. I would give this veterinarian zero stars if I could. I recently adopted a kitten from the shelter who shared a kennel with another kitten that had ringworm, confirmed by the shelter. I immediately brought the kitten to the vet office and he prescribed an anabiotic for a respiratory issue and some eye cream, even though I repeatedly told him and showed him where the ringworm was and all of the spots missing on both of my kittens. Flash forward to two weeks later and the spots are getting bigger the same concerns I brought them here for I have not gone away and they're getting sicker and sicker. The vet told me to bring them back, proceeded to tell me that they would have to test for everything they had already tested for and charged me a brand new exam fee, even though I had already brought them for these same exact issues two weeks prior. The vet is very aware that they have ringworm and won't prescribe the medication until I agree to pay for new testing all over again. I got scammed big time and my kittens still aren't receiving the treatment that they were supposed to receive because I've already paid for this treatment please please please take your animals anywhere else, I've never seen this level of unprofessionalism and blatant. Disregard for taking peoples money however they see fit and not caring that your animals are extremely ill. read more

Today Sandra D needs to get an ( possible soon to be but luckily I caught it in time) infected ingrown nail cut that grew into her skin. She's almost 16 years old and doesn't groom as much as she used to So I do it for her I noticed this ingrown nail that already started to Scab but not smell. I attempted to take care of this on my own but then it started to I called Sisk because I had brought Jade Marie here during the pandemic to get an annual check up. They were doing curbside pickup then and are still doing it now Our appt is at 4pm. I come froM Stockton to bring my babies here . It's traffic. We arrive at 4 20 ( go figure) lol I call. They come out to get here , 15 to 20 mins later. Np I'm late The vet tech that checked my baby in , is so sweet We had her last time also 15 mins later.... The Doc calls . She talks to me for a bit . Sandras ingrown nail has been removed It grew into her pad . Poor baby It's bleeding . They will give her an antibiotic shot. That being said, the entire staff was beyond empathetic, understanding, making what I was thinking would be my dogs last day. Thankfully he slowly came out of it and has made almost a full recovery. We brought our little shiba when she was a couple of months old after noticing she was urinating more than the average pup. They up the price without telling you, they add things to the Well visits without asking. They DO NOT give you paperwork for your Visit You have to call and call. When days later finally received summaries, after multiply calls and them telling me to drive back to Salida to pick them up, after telling me they would email me because obviously they couldn't be bothered to print out summaries the same day I came in. The summaries had multiple questions that I never answered that they just put whatever they wanted. At one point there was 5 people in the room it was like a circus. They all looked confused. I had to correct the nurse as she gave the doctor the wrong weight on one of my puppies. They are extremely unprofessional, rude and the DOCTOR was the Worst. BEYOND Unhappy. read more

We found this place through family members and also looking up on yelp, Dr. Singh has fantastic reviews. We took our puppy Captain here for his first check up! The place itself is easy to find. It's right infront of In N Out, and right next to the old savemart which is no longer open. It is a very clean office, and has a homey feel to it. You can just tell that they take awesome care of their customers and the little furry ones! We have had Amanda help us several times when we have gone in and she is awesome. She always answers our questions with confidence and great knowledge. She is very friendly! And Dr. Singh is a very good doctor! He does a thorough examination and and explains everything along the way. The best thing I like is that he is flexible. Yes Dr. Singh. We dropped our boxers off and had their vaccines updated. We called at almost 5PM and asked how much it would be if we kept them there overnight. We were told $108.28 for each dog, including vaccines and overnight boarding. When we went to pick them up the next day you added on an extra $100+. Had we been told that it would have been that much when we called on Friday, we wouldn't have boarded them overnight. I believe that you should have honored the quote we were given. However, you did not and that's okay, we will not be returning. Thank you. read more

Singh definitely is not Dr. Sessa. He's a thief. $800 to look in nose for foxtails for my 30 lbs dog. And no aftercare. In and out of office in about 2 hours. Over the counter medication at 550% markup from what I'd pay at drugstore. Asked if I could give mine and he said no I'll give it to you. I thought he meant free. God knows how much of a markup from his cost. I've never paid over $200 to have foxtails removed from my 90 lbs dog. They check BEFORE putting her under. This doctor refused to do so. Dog is worse, wheezing and sneezing. Asked dozens of times for pets medical records as I lost mine in a house fire. Nothing. Asked Vanessa to send records to another vet, she refused. read more

WORST practice, don't bring here unless you want to loose your puppy in the long run. I took my puppy in Tuesday AM kept her there until Friday, evening Dr Singh and the other DR Suda are not on the same page at all about on the pets care. I just spent $1,500.00 + the money to put her down. They failed to mention that my puppy might have a liver issue after they did 2nd blood work on Thursday they stated :the results are going down, because the Parvo is going away" she never stated they would need to be redone or we need to watch the levels for potential future issues or that it was still in danger zone and she stated that she didn't need to tell me that since she wasn't discharging me. Leading me to believe that once parvo is gone the liver issue is also gone once parvo is gone. On Friday when I was picking up my dog Dr Singh stated right before I paid & picked up 20minutes before closing that I'd have to go back 10 days after to re-do blood work, and I looked extremely confused, because thats not what I had understood Thursday from Dr Suda. I decided to keep her instead of the breeder taking her back Thursday after my call with Dr Suda since she made it seem like the liver issue was going to be gone. They allowed my dog to come home Friday knowing her liver levels were still high, and when I called Saturday to give updates on my dog who threw up Dr Singh didn't seem concerned. But when I spoke to DR Suda on Monday when she called me she questioned if Dr Singh had asked me to take my dog back in on Saturday or not. Monday morning she was barely breathing and we took her to an emergency vet who put her down, since they stated all life saving measures would be 5,000 and at least a 10day stay based off previous blood work and her parvo issue. Dr Suda called me Monday after hearing the dog had gone, and stated that she was sorry and that she did not mean to make It sound that the liver issue was gone when it wasn't. Tuesday, Marrisa called me after talking to Dr Singh and offered me a refund of up to $500 if I took down my YELP review & also stated that some of the things I wrote were not correct, I told her that I would revise it with the partial refund or they can 100% refund me for me to take down my review. Once we hung up I edited this review to add some specific details of calls/interactions. My main issue is I was mislead by them on Thursday about the results, and I would have not kept her or brought her home over the weekend to put even more emotional stress on my children over the weekend. Marissa was 100% honest, straight forward, and the most helpful of all staff any other vet would be blessed to have her. When we spoke Tuesday we did go back and forth a little but I hold nothing against her the doctors failed here. Marissa stated she called Stan vet for my dogs records, which I'm confused since I never authorized for Stan vet to release anything. I also stated I'd be filling a formal complaint with California Veterinary Medical board. read more

We needed an after hours emergency appt for our puppy who was having an allergic reaction to 2nd set of vaccines. We were taken in pretty quickly due to our puppy's age. She was given a Benadryl and a steroid shot. Vet recommended we tell our regular Vet to give these shots at each vaccination appt.
