Roxanne on vacation at the ranch
    Dawn K.

So... Leaving your fur baby, it's not easy. At all. I contacted/stopped by at random after visiting another kennel. I was welcomed and shown around, no hesitation. I got to see potential places she'd be and all of the dogs I saw seemed happy to be there. I was asked about my dog, breed and age as well as experience with other dogs and kennels. My initial opinion is that it was very clean and their focus was on the dogs. The dogs were well cared for. I was told I needed to get my dog, Roxanne, a flu shot. Unfortunately my vet didn't have any in stock so I went to petco/vetco...but anyhow after getting that, we had to go for an evaluation. She is a GSD and from my understanding can have issues when their people aren't around (separation anxiety) My doggo hasnt really been around other doggos outside of she had a really old older sister (dog) that passed away in Feb. so her interactions with other dogs and even people were limited to family. Her first evaluation didn't go the greatest, she was scared and afraid of walking around the property and going through doors. I was told she didn't pass but didn't fail. We went back in a couple of days and it went much better. Then it was recommended she come do daycare/play dates for a half day to get her used to procedures and being around new people and other dogs. Finally the week of her stay came. I packed up her food and a couple of comfort items and bedding and off we went. Now look, she's a GSD and though they can be fierce they are also big babies or mine is and a beloved member of the family...so leaving her was nearly like leaving my kids at school first day. I know dogs pick up on vibes so I kept it brief and told her I'd see her soon (then sniffled as I drove down the street) I called on her second day and she had "settled in" and shortly thereafter was saw pics of her on Facebook and insta. The next day more pics she was smiling! Then I found out...she made a friend named Duffy!!!! Aww her first doggo friend! Today I went to pick her up and she was excited to see me but I think she enjoyed it because she was not sure whether she wanted to stay or go. She looks healthy, her bedding was washed and she got a report card with everything detailed. Which is nice, her minimal issues were mostly breed related (shepherd related) I guess she had a little tummy trouble while there but it was handled well. (So we had some left over snacks etc) So pet parents, rest assured...your loved pets are safe here. They take good care of them. I notice most of the staff is more geared towards the dogs, and less towards the humans (not a bad thing) but the dogs are the clients so I think that's perfect! I wouldn't hesitate to leave my Roxanne here again. I may have her come sometimes just so she can play with some doggy friends. (Maybe she'll meet Duffy again!) I wish she liked water, I saw all the water doggos splashing in pics and it looks fun!!!

I take my dog, Bella (Beya) to be boarded at CR Ranch. During intake they use their own leash to walk the dog off to the outdoor play yard. My dog doesn't give me a second glance or hesitate to leave with the caretaker - a good sign of her positive experiences at this facility. When I pick her up she is bathed (additional cost) and exhausted from playing and hanging out with other dogs. Any item of ours that we drop off with Bella is tagged and returned. The prices are reasonable for the quality of care our fur baby gets. I love seeing pictures of her and other dogs playing in the outdoor spaces on CR's Instagram page.

My furby has been coming here for almost a year now. Her previous poodle brothers also came here for play time/boarding. Seriously one of the best in town... I really hate posting this because I absolutely love the small group play & the limit on the daily dog capacity. Let me *emphasize*... just because a doggie daycare lets in 200+ does not mean they're well established or take the due diligence with your pets. All the staff have been wonderful, both in-person & through correspondence-- they pay attention to your fur child & provide feedbacks when needed. Love the different kennel & yard sizes, as well as the mixture of domestic and farm animals. There's no bad thing I can speak about this place. And if there were, they probably hide it from me

CR Ranch is basically Disneyland for dogs. We bring Whiskey here whenever we are out if town or if we are away for the day. The day care service is great. They're boarding is the best boarding service in our area. Our dog Whiskey knows where he's going the second we turn on the main road to CR Ranch. They also offer a discount if you bring your own food. We pack each days' dry dog food in zip lock bags for his daily portions. The best part, they offer bath services. We always opt for the deshedding option also. He looks great every time we pick him up from there after a few days of boarding.

We've boarded our dogs there many times and the dogs love it! They are so sweet. Our pups don't like other kennels.

The owner, Lisa, even picked up a prescription for my dog while he was boarding and I was out of the country. With my dog Riley, they take extra care with getting him settled in and adjusted because he developed a bit of separation anxiety after the pandemic. They always have him looking his best after his every six weeks grooming. To make it easier for me (not having to call for an appointment) they've been booking him out every six weeks for the entire year. It is so easy for me to remember, and they do such a great job with him. I cannot say enough how much trust I have in Lisa and her team at Top Notch. If he needs to be boarded, I know he is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

It was a short blond lady that had agreed to come to and see our dog in person for $100. She saw our dog through the patio door and our dog growled at her (hence why we were looking for some training). The first thing she recommended was euthanasia. She then went on to say that if we decided to keep her, her world would have to be very small. We asked again about the training. She stated that our dog would need a muzzle and that she would return with literary information. We never saw her again, no call, nothing. Our dog is now 7 and lives a full life. She is playful and affectionate. I guess our dog is a good judge of character. I think this business cares more about the dollar than the dogs. I do not recommend this business.

We waited 2.5 hours before being even assessed. But other than that I was happy with the visit. I read all the reviews and was worried about the level of care due to what I was reading. My cat bootsie came in with what seemed like she was exposed to a toxin. I'm glad we brought her in. It was the hardest decision ever but right by her. She had a fever of 106.4 and would have likely passed at home in pain. We opted for euthanasia due to the diagnosis and I knew it was coming. I couldn't afford treatment as it was. They didn't even charge me for the doctors exam for the $189 they only charged us for the euthanasia. Which I felt was a fair price for $199 to take the body home vs golden valley vet whom I called for a quote on the same thing and they quoted me $360!!! Not even for cremation The doctor she was very kind and explained the options and gave me reality. We made the right choice by Bootsie. The staff were great in helping me shave a patch of her fur and even got her paw prints for me and nose prints. I didn't even think they would get it since her whole mouth was covered in the activated charcoal I gave her. But I saw when I got home how many great prints they did of her paws and nose and it warmed my heart to have those. Thanks for helping her transition over the rainbow bridge

From the moment we walked in, she took the time to sit with me, explain every step of the process, and ask questions to make sure she understood exactly what I wanted and, more importantly, what would keep my dog comfortable and happy. You can instantly tell this isn't just a job for her - grooming is her passion and she truly cares about every pet that comes through the door. When I picked my girl up... I honestly almost didn't recognize her (in the best way possible!). Her coat has NEVER been this soft and fluffy. My previous groomer must have only been brushing the surface because Gaby got all the way down to the skin and removed every bit of undercoat. The difference is night and day - she feels like a cloud! They finished her off with the cutest little bows and a sweet feather hair extension that just made her look like an absolute princess. I'm officially a Pet Magic customer for life. Gaby treated my dog like her own and gave us the best grooming experience we've ever had. If you're looking for someone who genuinely loves what they do and delivers stunning results, book with Gaby at Pet Magic. You (and your pup) will thank me later!

When my family dropped her off, they were told she could not leave her blanket or toy with her. However, the website clearly states that dogs are allowed to bring a blanket and a toy from home to help them feel comfortable. That is exactly why we brought those items, so this was confusing right from the start. The following day I called to check in and was told she was doing fine--eating, drinking, and adjusting well. I called again and was told the same thing. I asked if they could send me pictures of her, and when I received them I noticed a cut on the bottom of her chest. If I had not asked for photos, I don't believe I would have been notified about the injury at all. My dog has never cut herself before, so naturally as a dog parent you start worrying and thinking the worst. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at home, so it is normally her safe place. When I asked about the cut, they repeatedly told me they checked the kennels to make sure it was safe and suggested it could have been from a handler's collar getting stuck in her hair. However, my dog has very thin hair and the cut is nowhere near where a collar would normally sit, which made that explanation hard to believe. Another major concern was that their website advertises "all day play," yet in every picture they sent she was on a collar and leash. I was also told that they do not allow dogs to play with other dogs due to safety concerns, which directly contradicts what is advertised. Additionally, in the photos my dog looked very sad and withdrawn, when normally she is very happy and loves to play. This made me concerned that she may have been kept in a kennel and on a leash for most of the time she was there. Because of this, I immediately called family to pick up my dog early. The entire situation made me very uncomfortable and I did not feel confident leaving her there for the remainder of the stay. I chose this place because of the positive Google reviews, but after this experience I truly wish I had paid closer attention to the Yelp reviews as well. I will not be leaving my dog here again.
