I found Mary through an initial search in Modesto, and felt good enough to make the call after seeing her website, Facebook page, and online reviews. I live in San Francisco. My sister lives in Modesto and needed immediate help while recovering from major surgery. Mary was a superstar. She came in three times a week over the course of about a month to take care of my sister's three small dogs, two indoor cats, and two outdoor cats. Mary also watered the plants and wheeled the garbage and recycling bins out and back in again, and other minor things, as needed. Mary is reliable, communicative, swift and no-nonsense, get the job done and done well, but also friendly and warm and personable and trustworthy. Found Mary here on Yelp and reached out about pet sitting our 2 dogs and 2 cats. When she arrived for our initial meeting she was very professional, organized, personable and thorough. She asked questions about our animals that I hadn't even thought to share with her. We had a test run this past weekend in preparation for a bigger week long trip coming in a few months. Mary was great! While we were away she sent photos to put us at ease and texted to let us know how all the fur babies were doing. It's not only cheaper to hire her to pet sit than putting our dogs in a kennel, we know all of our animals will be happier and safer being at home. Mary has been a lifesaver! My first experience was a last minute trip we had to go on and had no idea what to do with our two dogs and cat. Wasn't so worried about the cat since he's so self sufficient for a few days but had no idea what to do with the doggies. Mary came to our rescue and met our fur babies and immediately bonded with them. They were happy to see her and we were happy to know they would be in good hands. Pictures were sent and peace of mind was certain. The second time we needed her was a doozy. We had a trip planned for weeks and the day we were sent to leave, our A/C broke on the hottest day of the year so far... 104° outside and our inside temp was 97°. The unit couldn't be fixed for 2 days! We couldn't cancel our trip so ended up leaving with lots of worry and uncertainty... once again Mary to the rescue! She took extra time to check on the doggies and make sure they remained comfortable. She even brought them an extra fan to help ensure there was sufficient circulation for them. I'm a foster for a non-profit animal rescue, and I have more than the "normal" number of dogs in my care at any gIven time. I had planned a week vacation, and all of my friends/family also had plans during the same week. Mary is amazing! Mary began caring for my babies in May of 2014. She'd cared for them just one time before my home burned in mid May. I had a business trip planned for later in that week so wrote to tell her that I'd cancelled my biz trip...house burned...still desperately looking for several of my babies...would get back to her once everything returned to 'normal'.
