Tank loves hanging out at K-9's on the Move!
    Mary B.

Our 9-month old retriever/spaniel mix dog, Tank, has stayed here three times so far. Once for one-day boarding for a day trip, then for a 3-day stay over Christmas (we were having some older people over and weren't sure how he'd act), and recently for doggy day care. When I picked him up, they mentioned how much fun he'd had. Cynically, I thought, "of course they're going to say that! They want him to come back." Well, the next time I brought him for doggy day care I found out they weren't kidding! The second he heard one of his dog buddies barking, he realized where he was, and he was DRAGGING me to the office to play with his pals! He couldn't wait to get inside. The people who work here are very thoughtful. My husband loves the app they use to keep records of visits and send updates/photos during the dog's stay. They even had Santa visit the pups for pictures during Christmas! Another positive that I've noticed is that the socializing with other dogs and people has really mellowed him out and improved his behavior at home. And just between you and me, their prices are totally reasonable for the level of service that they provide. K-9's on the Move is definitely our go-to dog care spot!

Great service and care of our two dogs. Our dogs came home after boarding better behaved than when they went in.

Around 8pm on march 21st my cat started having trouble breathing and she started convulsing. She wasn't breathing until my brother would shake her to start breathing again. We rushed her to this emergency clinic but she sadly passed away in my brothers arms in the car just two minutes from the clinic. The team was fantastic. One of the members there who took my cat to the back let us stay there for as long as I needed and didn't judge me for crying loudly. My mother paid $600 in total for my beloved cat to be cremated and to have a clay print of her paws which in my opinion is a great price. About a week(ish) later we got to pick up her ashes and the clay print we were promised and I believe the team went above and beyond. I received a card with the team's signatures and a certificate of cremation.

Following a minor miscommunication regarding pricing from other staff members, an older employee became confrontational and began calling my husband names being racist to him!!. She even went as far as making inappropriate comments about our family and children. Regardless of any misunderstanding, there is never an excuse for staff to speak to clients in such a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. Instead of addressing the situation professionally and taking accountability for the confusion, the behavior we experienced was unacceptable. We entrusted this facility with the care of our pet and expected to be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this clinic to others who expect professionalism, respectful communication, and accountability from veterinary staff.

She does not like being picked up or touched by anyone except me, and honestly, even I can barely pick her up. She also absolutely hates riding in the car, so taking her to the vet is a very stressful experience for both of us. I first brought her in because she had started licking and pulling her fur out so badly that she was getting down to her skin. I was really worried about her. The doctor handled her so well. Even though Lola was very unhappy about being there and was definitely letting everyone know it, he was incredibly kind, patient and gentle with her. About two weeks later, Lola developed an anal gland problem that required another visit. I was worried about bringing her back because I knew how much she hated being handled, but once again, the doctor was wonderful with her. He was calm and gentle and handled her without any problems. I really appreciate the care and patience he showed Lola. Anyone who has a difficult or fearful cat knows how stressful a vet visit can be, and I felt like she was in very good hands both times. I would definitely recommend Hilmar Veterinary Hospital.

Despite his reactive nature during visits, the team consistently makes appropriate accommodations by clearing the area and promptly escorting him to a private room. Both the staff and Dr. Hulse demonstrate remarkable patience. In contrast to my previous experiences in the Bay Area, where a multitude of medications were often prescribed, Dr. Hulse offers only firm, well-founded advice and administers solely the medications he deems essential for my pet's well-being. I genuinely regret not discovering his practice seven and a half years ago when my pet was a puppy, as I believe his health outcomes would have been more favorable. I am confident that with ongoing treatment from Dr. Hulse, my pet will receive the highest possible standard of care. As an individual who experiences significant anxiety regarding my pet's health, I deeply appreciate that Dr. Hulse and his staff consistently take the time to explain all procedures and information with kindness and patience. I am convinced that with continued care from Dr. Hulse, my pet will maintain a healthy and fulfilling life. My sincere gratitude to Dr. Hulse and his team for their outstanding work.

The owner, Lisa, even picked up a prescription for my dog while he was boarding and I was out of the country. With my dog Riley, they take extra care with getting him settled in and adjusted because he developed a bit of separation anxiety after the pandemic. They always have him looking his best after his every six weeks grooming. To make it easier for me (not having to call for an appointment) they've been booking him out every six weeks for the entire year. It is so easy for me to remember, and they do such a great job with him. I cannot say enough how much trust I have in Lisa and her team at Top Notch. If he needs to be boarded, I know he is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

It was a short blond lady that had agreed to come to and see our dog in person for $100. She saw our dog through the patio door and our dog growled at her (hence why we were looking for some training). The first thing she recommended was euthanasia. She then went on to say that if we decided to keep her, her world would have to be very small. We asked again about the training. She stated that our dog would need a muzzle and that she would return with literary information. We never saw her again, no call, nothing. Our dog is now 7 and lives a full life. She is playful and affectionate. I guess our dog is a good judge of character. I think this business cares more about the dollar than the dogs. I do not recommend this business.
