I called and they were able to get us an urgent visit time for this morning. Upon arrival I didn't even have to text the number because there was already a technician in the parking lot who did was very friendly and checked us in. We waited about another 5 minutes and then came to get my dog. When he was done the vet herself came out and explained what was wrong and what they did addressed a few other questions I had. So was very friendly and didn't make me feel rushed. After paying the pharmacist came out and gave us our meds and we were on our way. We were in and out within 30 minutes. I hope I don't have another emergency with my dog again, but if I do. I wouldn't hesitate to bring either of my dogs here for care.

From the moment we arrived, Faith, a team member, met us with so much genuine kindness and compassion. She took such good care of our boy, but she also took care of us. Every time she was on shift, she took the time to explain what was happening, answer our questions, check in on Bear, and genuinely listen to our concerns. You could tell this wasn't just a job to her she truly cared about him and about what we were going through. In some of the hardest moments we've experienced, having someone like Faith there meant more than I can put into words. I also want to give a special thank you to Stephanie, another team member who took time out of her day simply to sit and talk with us. And I absolutely do not want to leave out all of the other incredible team member and doctors who were part of Bear's care. We may not remember every name, but we remember the kindness. Every person who came into his room, checked on him, cared for him, answered another one of our questions, helped keep him comfortable, or simply showed us patience and compassion made a difference. We saw how many people were working behind the scenes for our boy, and none of that went unnoticed. To every doctor who cared for Bear, thank you for being honest with us while still being compassionate.Thank you for treating him with dignity, gentleness, and love. Thank you for answering our questions, being patient with us, and giving us the time and space we needed to make the hardest decision we have ever had to make for our boy. Saying goodbye to Bear was absolutely heartbreaking, but knowing that he was surrounded by people who genuinely cared for him brought us comfort during an unbearable moment. We know he is no longer in pain, and we are so grateful that his final days were spent being cared for with so much compassion. Following a minor miscommunication regarding pricing from other staff members, an older employee became confrontational and began calling my husband names being racist to him!!. She even went as far as making inappropriate comments about our family and children. Regardless of any misunderstanding, there is never an excuse for staff to speak to clients in such a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. Instead of addressing the situation professionally and taking accountability for the confusion, the behavior we experienced was unacceptable. We entrusted this facility with the care of our pet and expected to be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this clinic to others who expect professionalism, respectful communication, and accountability from veterinary staff.

She also absolutely hates riding in the car, so taking her to the vet is a very stressful experience for both of us. I first brought her in because she had started licking and pulling her fur out so badly that she was getting down to her skin. I was really worried about her. The doctor handled her so well. Even though Lola was very unhappy about being there and was definitely letting everyone know it, he was incredibly kind, patient and gentle with her. About two weeks later, Lola developed an anal gland problem that required another visit. I was worried about bringing her back because I knew how much she hated being handled, but once again, the doctor was wonderful with her. He was calm and gentle and handled her without any problems. I really appreciate the care and patience he showed Lola. Anyone who has a difficult or fearful cat knows how stressful a vet visit can be, and I felt like she was in very good hands both times. I would definitely recommend Hilmar Veterinary Hospital.

With my dog Riley, they take extra care with getting him settled in and adjusted because he developed a bit of separation anxiety after the pandemic. They always have him looking his best after his every six weeks grooming. To make it easier for me (not having to call for an appointment) they've been booking him out every six weeks for the entire year. It is so easy for me to remember, and they do such a great job with him. I cannot say enough how much trust I have in Lisa and her team at Top Notch. Daphne had a restful fun time on both occasions. Daphne is getting older and it's wonderful to have a place for my dog, Daphne, to stay when I'm on holiday. I know she's in great hands. Furthermore, Niki is an expert groomer! I adopted an insanely cool Chinchilla Persian cat, Puffcat, from Niki's Play n' Stay just after winter break. Chinchilla Persians are lovely! The breed requires very careful grooming every 4-8 weeks--including bathing, shaving, and drying with a special high velocity cat hairdryer. Therefore, I just had my Chinchilla Persian, Puffcat, over at Niki's for grooming and he came back looking picture perfect. After his grooming, he's sooooo puffy, smells amazing, and he has been expertly shaved & trimmed. Thank you Niki! Highly recommend!!
