I have taken my dogs here multiple times over the years and they do a good job. However, it has happened to me twice that I make an appointment weeks in advance to show up on appointment day to them being closed with no notice. I will no longer be using Pet Perfection as I have to make accommodations with my work schedule to make these appointments to only receive no heads up for being randomly closed. read more

I have brought my English bulldog here many times. She has a club foot which I have pointed out every time I have brought her in to be groomed. The poor baby literally has a toe in between her toes. I told the owner, Henny, to be careful with it and she even replied,"oh I know!" When I got home I realized her foot was bleeding! And not just a little but a lot. So I called Henny and let her know she sent my dog home with a bloody foot. She acted like she had no idea what I was talking about and asked me to send her a picture. So after I sent the picture she *magically* remembered that her toe nail fell off before the bath... she told me not to worry and that my dog would be okay. I wasn't born yesterday lady. You or someone on your staff cut my dog's deformed toe off after I told you she had special needs and to pay attention to it. I understand accidents happen but how do you send her home looking like that? Most professional groomers would put something on it to stop the bleeding and clean her up BEFORE I pick her up. It's been a few months and unfortunately I just noticed her toe is oozing. So off to the vet we go! Also it's worth noting that when I called Henny, she didn't once offer an apology. Pretty disappointed with this place. 1. They never asked for his shot records when we got there 2. It was pretty unsanitary, they don't clean after they're done with other dogs and cut your dogs hair around the other dogs left over cut hair, so I'll be really mad if my dog gets fleas. 3 they don't let you stay and watch so I had to peak my head in the window to see how he was doing in there a few times and it from the only thing I could see they were brushing him pretty roughly. He was shaking the whole time he was there. 4 I had shown them a picture of what I wanted and he didn't look anything like the pictures I showed. I show up to my second appointment and another dog was being aggressive. They asked me to come back later. My dog did not start it so they should have asked the other person to come back. We take our Yorkie here. She does a great job not only with grooming but we were very impressed with how she handles the dogs that are in her care. Our Yorkie has health issues and she was extremely gentle and loving to our Yorkie. He loved being with her! She has earned our business for life. I have been taking my large German Shepherd here for years. While it does take a couple of weeks to get an appointment (sign of a good groomer). This is easily fixed by planning ahead and booking the appointment earlier. She has always did an excellent job of keeping my dog out of a cage by grooming my shepherd in a timely manner while I have lunch or do a little shopping in Oakdale. Very upset asked for flea dip and she did not do so so i have a flea infestation. My son is eaten up by fleas and she will not get my dog in immediately and was very rude in doing so. If you would have done what was asked we would not have this problem. She grooms 2 of my large dogs 2 times a year she will be losing 400 that's for damn sure. read more

Unreliable business! Between my mom & myself, we have had this establishment cancel on us 3 times. Let me rephrase that- they didn't call us to cancel, WE SHOWED UP WITH OUR DOGS & THEY WERE CLOSED. Most recently last Friday. The center where this shop is located has had a lot of construction going on in & around it & yet the owner STILL booked an appointment for my mom's dog on Friday knowing that she would be closed because the entire parking lot & sidewalk in front of her door was ripped up- there was literally about a 3 ft wide ditch between the parking lot asphalt & the sidewalk in front of her door. Placing a note on the door & not taking your book to contact clients of your closure is inexcusable, especially since I'm pretty sure PG & E would've notified all of the businesses in the center of the work/ construction so they could conduct business & plan accordingly. Not to mention the last time that my mom took her Lhasa Apso there, they practically shaved her- that's how short they cut her. My mom was not the least bit pleased, however she thought she would give her a second chance. Needless to say that neither my mom or myself will be taking our dogs back there. If you are okay with inconsistency & unreliability, then this place is for you. read more

pet perfection is the best, henney and her assistants do superb grooming and care of the dogs. her prices are fair. if you own a dog with hair, especially a bichon or poodle or yorkie or a malteses or lhasa, you can't find a better groomer at a reasonable price that takes excellent care of your pet. the only thing bad about pet perfection is that they are not open on weekends. henney has 4 girls at home along with a husband. the weekends are for family, oakdale is lucky to have pet perfection. read more
