It's really frustrating when you drop your pet off to groom before 8 AM and you don't leave the salon with your pet until after 6 PM. I think it's unnecessary and unkind to the animal that is sitting in a cage or wherever for 10 hours without a real meal or autonomy. Setting reasonable time expectations with your client is key and this place does not do that. The only reason we have returned is because the end result is nice and the animal seems to feel better. I don't know if it's overbooking or poor time management but I'm a frustrated dog mom and will not bring my baby back. read more

I love this place. Does it smell like wet dogs? Yes, because it's a grooming place. That's the complaint I see often posted but that isn't an issue for me. The owner and employees are great. They treat my dog like their own. They always find time for us as well. They work long hours to make sure they get every baby groomed and I've never had any knicks or cuts on my dog. They even tried to groom my evil cat for me with no complaints. I love these people. read more

I've gone here multiple times and unfortunately I won't be coming back... The cuts are too inconsistent. The first cut she got was so cute and i absolutely loved it. The second was cute too. But the cut she received today was so bad that I cried real adult tears. Her legs are so choppy, there's random puffs of long fur, they shaved her nose bridge all the way down so she has a funny looking face. And they completely shaved her down from adorable and fluffy to unbelievably short and really just ugly. I was overlooking the smell, the dirty environment, the five hour wait time, and the screaming dogs in the back because i loved the cuts at first. i thought maybe the poor haircuts were duds. Walked in and right away place had a horrible smell. Two dogs were left on grooming tables unattended and one jumped off pulling table down with it while she held and trimmed my dogs nails. Luckily it didn't appear hurt. One dog was left also unattended in bathtub and looked cold and wet .Very unclean environment. Switching dogs on tables without sanitation in between services. Hair and urine all over ground in grooming area. Many dogs caged up alone with a large dog roaming the business. Will never take my pets here again. I took my little Chihuahua with no teeth she's 12 for a summer shaving from head to toes, it took 5 hours then when I picked her up her head and ears where not done or her paws clipped for hair, her body was so unevenly shaved no clipping to even it out, it looked horrible. Easy to get in! Julie is amazing, and is genuine about her care for and about our pets. She's given me numerous excellent pieces of advice that get my dogs the attention they needed. No matter how much of a mess my dogs are in, the staff doesn't abuse me or complain to me, and I really deserve it sometimes. I don't know how, but still they haven't nicked my fatty-tumor ridden pooch! So amazing! Their prices are reasonable. $65 for my 55lb standard poodle. If I notice something that needs to be a little different before I leave the shop, they gladly clean it up in a cheerful, not begrudging way. My only concern ever, is how long they keep my babes. I really loved the care my Lombardi received here. He was very well behaved during his stay and I could tell that they were being genuine when they told me he was a good boy and that they loved having him. Even more important to me, when they brought my dog up to me when I picked him up, he appeared very happy and he walked around confidently like he owned the place. My dog generally loves people and hates the car but she sprinted for the car and hopped right in. The ladies working there didn't even bother to ask her name and didn't make eye contact with me. I asked 3 times if they were grinding or filing and they assured me they were and did. Her nails were sharper than when I left her and pieces were peeling off. I had to file them when I got home. I have been taking my dogs to Julie for 24 years, first for grooming, then for vacation boarding, and then for day boarding when I got a new puppy. I am always 100% sure that Julie, her family, and her hand-picked employees will care for my dogs competently and caringly. My dogs love to go to Julie's shop--it's a happy day for them when they get to go. I want to say something about Kennel Cough--one dog caught it once. That's three dogs, 24 years, and one case. First off just wanted to start by saying I never do this. I usually leave great reviews because I love small business and understand how hard everything is with covid right now. That being said I really wish I could leave negative stars. I took my golden retriever there and asked for her to be trimmed short. Key word trimmed!!!! I got my golden retriever back completely SHAVED BALD. I can't even take my dog for a walk because I'm worried she's going to get sun burned. This is absolutely ridiculous. If Yelp would let me curse I would because when did trimmed become completely shaved. Make sure to tell your friends to ask for trimming at least five times because apparently she can't understand what's being asked of her the first few times. Also failed to mention how dirty this place is. Actually glad my dog got shaved because she probably would've left with fleas if she had any hair. read more
